Had a great time with a group class making pressed flower resin boards. Can't wait to take more classes. Met the owner Lauren and she was a delight!

A friend and I decorated cookies in a DIY lesson. We also learned how to make sugar scrub with different scents. So fun and they provide all the supplies. Bonus, bring your own beverages. So you can have an after hours party with friends or even coworkers. Try it out, it's fun!

    Girls night and art!

We had the best time with Lauren at Hammer & Stain! I booked a private party for a group of girl friends and family on a Friday night. We got to pick our own projects, and brought snacks and wine. We worked on our projects and had a blast. Lauren was so helpful and and even fixed mine when I made a mistake and my OCD kicked in and I was stressing it wasn't perfect I cannot recommend this place and Lauren enough. I can't wait to go back and do another project!

We did the Christmas event and had such a great time. They helped us with all of our projects and do add ons that we wanted.

This wasn't just us, several people in our class had the same issue, and they had to call the owner to sort everything out before we could start. They also mentioned that we could bring our own drinks, which sounded great, but I wouldn't recommend it for the wheel-throwing class. We didn't open our wine as no cups were provided but there was also no time during the class to drink it. That said, our instructor, Callum, was amazing! Truly hands-on, patient, and made sure everyone left with a piece they were proud of, whether they chose to keep it or not. One thing to note: I wouldn't recommend this specific class for out-of-towners. If you want to keep your piece, the process takes about a month. First firing, then returning to paint, then a second firing. You also pay separately for any pieces you choose to keep and paint. Our class was $35 per person, and it's $20 per piece for firing if you plan to come back and paint it. It's a commitment, but also two fun experiences if you're local or don't mind returning. Overall, I'm taking off one star due to our specific experience with their wheel throwing activity, but I still think the concept of this place is great, and I look forward to coming back to paint my piece as well as to try a different activity!

Since then, Mulqueen has moved to their present location but no longer sells vacuum cleaners. However they do offer parts from a demo vacuum Miele model, which they are willing to sell. I stopped by and a kind staff lady brought me the part but unfortunately neither of us could easily slide the telescope wand handle. She was honest and said it wasn't worth purchasing. I wouldn't have bought it either and appreciate her transparency. While I was there, I browsed through the sections of the store. I discovered embroidery machines, quilting patterns, supplies and a room full of fabrics for sale. I'm sure this will be a source for goods for patrons of Joanne's Fabric and Craft stores. It is sad that Joanne's is closing 800 locations after filing bankruptcy this past January. If I sewed or did any of the above I would be excited to visit here-but I'm not the sewing type. i even find sewing a missing button on clothing a chore! I am happy for those who still have places like this to shop at.

I would have liked to have seen more how-to-draw guides because I like to buy those for my daughter, but it's only a minor complaint. I laughed out loud at the Snoop Dog crochet kit (and I totally approve because he's awesome). The associates were all very nice. They greeted me, asked if I needed anything, and wished me a nice day even though I used self checkout. Like most craft stores, it does feel a little overpriced, but then in this economy, everything feels expensive. Oh, and I loved the model car and space ship selection! My brother would have enjoyed these. And they have photo albums! I'm rarely on social media, and the old soul in me misses physical photographs.

On this trip, they'd already put out Halloween decorations and I was really excited to see what kind of items they'd have! I loved everything, but of course nothing was on sale yet. Usually they'll discount the seasonal decor around the same time of the holiday though, so I'll check back in a few months. I did end up purchasing a few items, including a door mat and one Halloween decor item. The door mats are always a really great deal, and are good quality too! Lacey helped me check out and provided me with a coupon for 20% off a full price item. I really appreciated this. I would definitely shop here again!

That was a nice price as I use them for gift boxes, I love that they are sturdy and can be decorated. I'm not a fan of the self checkout, I realize it is a sign of the times, but I used to talk to the cashiers and we would bounce creative ideas off of each other depending on the items I was buying. Now I don't have them to talk to anymore. I go to stores that still have people working as much as possible. But aside from that, I did get a lot of great items for Christmas 2026. So I'm happy overall.

Responsible adult behavior…read more I had just left another craft-type store nearby that almost had what I needed, and I spotted Hobby Lobby and thought, "Oh yeah... I forget this store exists every few years." I've only been here about three times in my life, and every visit feels like unlocking a secret retail side quest. The moment I walked in and saw nothing but aisle numbers, I knew I was no longer in control of my destiny. There is no such thing as a quick trip here. You don't shop here... you embark. To their credit, an employee pointed me straight to the labels (bless them). They were organized, affordable, and exactly what I needed. Craft supply pricing here honestly feels pretty great. BUT... while there is an overwhelming amount of cute décor, it's just not totally my vibe. It's the kind of cute that makes you excited for five minutes and then quietly wonder if it will survive longer than a seasonal storage bin. Meanwhile, I'm over here wanting items my imaginary future grandchildren will fight over like antique heirlooms. That's probably a me problem. Naturally, I still left with extra items because this store gently convinces you that you're one decorative sign away from becoming a person who owns multiple glue guns and hosts themed brunches. End result: Labels secured. Budget slightly confused. Craft ambitions unrealistically boosted. Great selection, helpful staff, solid prices... just not fully my aesthetic cup of tea. Would absolutely return for supplies. Would absolutely fail at buying only one thing again.
