She made sure to check on every single person to make sure they didn't need help and encouraged them every step of the way! Cyra was the best painting teacher and I would highly recommend you spend your next painting night or event with her! She is a teacher in the day and a paint teacher on some evenings! Why would you not want your painting teach to actually be a teacher? Her patience and professionalism definitely set her apart and you can tell she is a genuine art leader!

The studio feels upscale, but it's small, and parking is sparse and hard to find nearby. First impression was that they seemed a bit uptight with beginners and stingy with paint and supplies ... but OK, fine. The main issue came as we were getting everyone settled. They'd over-booked the studio with another overlapping group that afternoon, and were also taking participants in off the street! As a result, there weren't enough stations set up to accommodate everyone. Rather than trying to reschedule the new arrivers or otherwise address the situation, they just kept piling more people into what soon became a cramped, stuffy space. Also, the owner/instructor, Dina, was overbearing and unkind. She talked down to participants and did nothing to help them feel at ease in a new experience. A couple of our ladies - pushed off to the side by the over-capacity crowd - are hard of hearing, and asked Dina to repeat herself once or twice. Her response was a curt "Try and keep up ... or would you like a refund?" It was difficult even for me to hear and follow her instructions over the conversations going on in the room. Zero respect and zero compassion for elderly customers just there with friends to have a good, creative time is reprehensible. I was not alone in this observation - a couple of people in the other mis-scheduled group felt the same way. Suffice it to say ... Dina needs to add some humility and kindness - and some basic business sense - to her toolkit. There are several Paint'n'Sip studios in the downtown area. It can be a fun, engaging, upbeat creative experience. Pending some changes on the part of this studio, though, I'm going to suggest strongly that you choose one of the others.

This wasn't just us, several people in our class had the same issue, and they had to call the owner to sort everything out before we could start. They also mentioned that we could bring our own drinks, which sounded great, but I wouldn't recommend it for the wheel-throwing class. We didn't open our wine as no cups were provided but there was also no time during the class to drink it. That said, our instructor, Callum, was amazing! Truly hands-on, patient, and made sure everyone left with a piece they were proud of, whether they chose to keep it or not. One thing to note: I wouldn't recommend this specific class for out-of-towners. If you want to keep your piece, the process takes about a month. First firing, then returning to paint, then a second firing. You also pay separately for any pieces you choose to keep and paint. Our class was $35 per person, and it's $20 per piece for firing if you plan to come back and paint it. It's a commitment, but also two fun experiences if you're local or don't mind returning. Overall, I'm taking off one star due to our specific experience with their wheel throwing activity, but I still think the concept of this place is great, and I look forward to coming back to paint my piece as well as to try a different activity!

She was fast to follow, but super kind and detailed with her instructions. This is my third class here and I will 100% be returning. This is such a fun indoor activity to do to beat the heat and let your creative spirit take over. I am also in a pickleball phase so the cookies were decorated were literally perfect. We got 5 cookies and they each were super tasty once I got to try one after they fully dried. You can buy drinks during the class, but we didn't. The biggest issue was the lack of real instruction. The hosts mainly pointed us to written directions and spent more energy upselling their extra products than actually guiding the class. For something marketed as a workshop, I expected more hands-on teaching. The Turkish delight and tea were a nice touch, very good, in fact, but they didn't arrive until nearly the end of the session, which felt oddly timed. On top of that, the project itself is more than you can realistically finish in the allotted time, so you end up taking it home to complete. I'm glad I did it once because I got to share the experience with friends, but next time we'll probably just buy the supplies and figure it out ourselves. Three stars for the fun company, tasty treats, and the idea, but with more instruction and less sales pitch, it could have been so much better
