My friend and I went to a cookie decorating class at art house Gilbert on Sunday and it was so much fun! Agave cookie co hosted the class and was a great teacher. She was fast to follow, but super kind and detailed with her instructions. This is my third class here and I will 100% be returning. This is such a fun indoor activity to do to beat the heat and let your creative spirit take over. I am also in a pickleball phase so the cookies were decorated were literally perfect. We got 5 cookies and they each were super tasty once I got to try one after they fully dried. You can buy drinks during the class, but we didn't. I have always wanted to sign up for a class at this place but they sell out soooo fast. I was finally able to sign up for an embroidery class for this past Saturday and I brought along my friend. Parking was plenty as there are spaces in the back. I walked on in and the kind instructor checked me in. The class started a few minutes late because we waited on a few people to arrive. The class was difficult as we had never done embroidery before. The instructor let us know at the start that this project was something that we were not going to finish during the 2 hour class. I wish the website would've mentioned that because if we had known, we would not have taken the class. We went home disappointed with our unfinished projects and I already forgot how to even begin....... I barely made a dent when in the class as it was struggle to grasp the concept right away. Super disappointed with this place! I booked a paint and sip for my friend and I for her birthday, arrived to a closed location and no one to answer the phone. I had planned a beautiful evening to not be advised they canceled my booking and didn't care to reach out to me via phone (when clearly their email advises you to reply to ensure you are aware of the cancelation) AND BEWARE IT GOES TO SPAM! I am highly enraged with this establishment and looked forward to coming here but clearly wont be back. I was then informed via text after multiple calls that they decided to cancel my reservation due to low bookings. Yet again a call would've been nice, because who the hell looks at their spam email. Do better. (ADDING ON THAT THEY HAVE YET TO REACH OUT TO ME REGARDING THIS REVIEW) they could care less about keeping clientele and mending bad reviews. Perfect venue for a baby shower. I wish they provided more than 30 min to setup because unless you have very minimal decor/ food, you'll need to pay a decent fee to get in an hour prior (vs 30 min) to your start time. We had a balloon arch, food, table floral, favors, and a few other small things with 5 people and we had 5 minutes to spare prior to guests arrival. Other than that, everything was great. I haven't been here in a while bc of Covid, but I realized I never left a review! I have been to The Art House a handful of times in the past two years and I LOVE it! I've had classes with Kendall and Morgan. They're both lovely humans. They're friendly, kind, and go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a good time and being successful with their painting. They take you step by step so you can be a complete novice and walk away feeling accomplished. They teach in a way that is easy to follow and beginner friendly. I'm experienced in art but still love going to learn new techniques, so it's great for those who know their way around a brush and those who don't! Both of these ladies are very encouraging and complimentary. You just feel good after leaving a class. Their positive energy is infectious. It's fun to go with people of course, but I always go solo (the artists also are great at taking awesome photos for social media LOL) and still have a good time! I love how the owners allow original designs by the artists which further supports the artists and it's not the same more generic style that other similar businesses have. I think one of the best parts is that this is a local business, not a chain, so you get to support the Gilbert community! They also offer other classes beside painting and usually have camps for kids. They've also been offering virtual classes, which I've done and it was also a good experience. 10/10 would recommend and I can't wait to get back when Covid is a thing of the past! read more

We have been here twice . The first time was not too shabby , the art teacher was kind and easy flowing vibes . Tonight , made our decision not to come back . We booked this class when it first appeared on the site , but we our backs were faced to the teacher . Turning our heads back and forth and to be at okay speed of the class was challenging. I asked the teacher if she could walk around so it was be easier . She did once when asked but preferred to be in her corner. I let her know I hated my seat and I got a cold "I'm sorry " . My husband was bothered by the teacher tonight who kept saying we only had a few mins left of the class . The class started well after 630 & she decided to chat about herself a bunch before we even got started . He felt very rushed & not welcomed . Above arriving , the pencil work by the teacher on both our canvas was not as nice as the other canvases near us . We used the eraser to fix /erase the dirty marks . We were going to buy two $100 giftcards for their Christmas special but glad we didn't . I do believe they added our chairs to not face the teacher to gain a profit and not at all think about how a customer /non artist/ not very familiar with art will feel about that . read more

What a great Sunday spent at The Art House in Gilbert! I helped plan a day long event here for my sorority which consisted of a couple different class times. I came to the first class time, set up some of my own goodies, and then took the canvas painting class myself! Once class was over I left everything in the hands of the lovely staff here who handled the rest of the day. From 11 am to 8 pm we hosted 3 classes and I barely had to do anything at all! I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of their location, and the canvas class experience as a whole. I was pleased to learn that The Art House even rents out their adorable space for events other than classes. They said they can host grad parties, birthdays, dinners, etc. I will FOR SURE be back here soon to take another class, and will definitely keep The Art House in mind for future events I host. I came with my bestie for a paint date and had SO MUCH FUN!! It was a new design that they were trying, but Kendall did a fantastic job at instructing and helping us create beautiful pieces. The venue is absolutely adorable and quintessential Gilbert. They had snacks and water waiting for us, and had a small bar for adult beverages. All of our supplies were laid out ready for us, and they had sketched out part of the design to get us started. Two hours went by FAST, but I had a blast and left with something that I actually WANT to hang in my house! Can't say enough about the hosts and instructor and their hospitality! Went here for a FUN customer appreciation day! It was a blast! It's the cutest little studio! The artist was friendly and helpful with directions. She was younger and had a little bit of a hard time directing the group and didn't give as many tips through out as I have seen compared to other paint classes I have been to but it didnt ruin my time! I was I bit turned of about not a bring your own wine but dont worry they had the cutest little bar and you get to keep your glass! I had the prickly pear cider it was delicious! A fun experience from start to finish! I ordered the white sangria ($6), and you keep the glass it's served in! A cute souvenir to take home. The class I took was painting the beautiful Arizona sky with mountains and cacti. The instructor gave easy to understand instructions and answered all questions. Painting the sky was a breeze. Painting the mountains and cacti, a little more difficult. It's amazing to see how different everyone's painting came out, all beautiful! There were a total of 10 attendees. Great for a date, for a group of friends, and great if you are riding solo and want to try something new. Such a great place to come with friends and family! The atmosphere is light, fun, and very much enjoyable. There's a bar for adult drinks, complementary water and snacks. Your greeted at the door, shown where you are sitting so you don't feel like you have to wander around a find a place to sit. The instructor of the class will come around showing you the painting as you go along. As they come around they will give you tips and ideas. It's a lot of fun because you don't have to be perfect and with guidance will love what you go home with.Aprons are provided of course so you won't get paint on your clothes. No limit on the paint you need to bring your inner Vincent Vagó out or if your more of a Picasso! The staff lets you take your time to wrap up when you are ready. My kids attended the summer kids camp and had a great time! My daughter is 4 and my son is 7. I was afraid my son was going to be bored as he is really just into sports but he actually really enjoyed it. I loved seeing all of the fun projects they worked on. The camp is 2.5 hours long and they have morning and afternoon sessions. The kids also get a snack and drink. I highly recommend! So fun! read more

Can't say enough about our experience with The Art House!! I set up a private event for my nana's 80th birthday and requested a custom design to paint as well. I communicated via email with Kylee for booking/payment and she was super helpful in answering every question I had. Kendall took the ideas I sent her for our custom design and came up with the most amazing "gangsta granny" ever!! She sent a rough draft and allowed me to make revisions before the final sketch, which was so helpful. She was more than happy to make it perfect for us; it's both adorable and hilarious and everyone loves it! Becca was our bartender for the event and seriously couldn't have been any sweeter!! She was so lovely to my nana and at one point when my nana accidentally rubbed black paint on her canvas, Becca rushed over to clean it off. Both ladies were beyond sweet, patient, attentive & truly made our event perfect. In regard to The Art House itself, the inside is perfect in terms of size and design. The red sangria from the bar was delicious, the wooden tables are lovely and the "house" is adorable yet modern. We were able to arrive 30 min early to decorate & everything was set up exactly as I discussed with Kylee. Seriously looking for a reason to host another event here. Thank you so much, ladies!!
