Worried I may mess it up if I tried to fix it myself, and seeing they had a decent policy for returns, I reached out to the store to ask if they would fix it for me. And they did! And it was free. Ok I love this Michaels. It's well organized, well stocked, the staff is always so friendly and it's just a very nice experience every time I shop there with one exception. Their bathrooms are always messy. I tried to take my almost 4 year old to the bathroom there and it was very dirty to the point that she wouldn't use it and I didn't really want her using it. read more

I haven't been to Michaels in quite a while So here we were paying a visit to Michaels. I actually came here for some picture frames. This place is great for finding the right size picture frame. Plus it has many other items for the artist or craft person in your family. I usually gravitate to the art supply area while my better half gravitates to the craft supplies. I have always had a pleasant visit here as the employees are always very helpful. I did find the right frames to replace the old ones hanging on our wall at home. The store is usually always clean. The majority of the employees are friendly. I don't like the self checkout, but it is what it is.

I've been to this location numerous times and have never had any problems. Today I visited this store to purchase some Christmas decorations and found exactly what I need and more! Most of the Christmas decorations were 50% making it feel like a good deal! The cashier was very friendly and told me about an upcoming coupon to use next week. I didn't have to wait in line very long. Lots of parking in this shopping plaza. read more

Great after holiday sales. I have always been treated very well shopping here. Prices are higher than a box store but varied inventory. It is always fun to walk around and just browse all the fun items they have. They also have a framing dept and sponsor craft classes. They give a teacher discount too. Thank you for that! Ruthy and Chase were absolutely amazing! You can tell they genuinely care about delivering great customer service. I came in today to get some heart-shaped and bow-shaped balloons blown up for my newborn baby girl's photo shoot. The bow balloon wasn't floating properly because of how it was made -- it just couldn't hold enough helium. But instead of just handing it back, they quickly came up with a creative solution on the spot. They tied the bow to the heart balloons, adding an extra sweet and thoughtful touch that made it all come together beautifully. This location used to have friendly, helpful associates. Twice now that is not true. I went to a register. Girl looked at me & kept boxing stuff. I said, "Is this the right one?" She said, "No, this one, I have to finish doing something." She went back to boxing up garlands. No one was waiting for her. She could have rung me up & gotten right back to it. She never said hi or thank you for waiting. I'd rather drive further & have associates who are trained in good customer service. I spend a lot of money in this store. read more

We ventured around to about eight different locations for this chain in one weekend due to my best friend getting married and wanting some of my paper flowers for center pieces, so we needed the exact color of paper she wanted to match her theme. So, as such, this location was one of the area ones we hit first. This location was clean, well-organized and the signage made things easy to find throughout the store. It was set up opposite from the location I normally go to, as far as floor plan was concerned, but it wasn't difficult to get my bearings with the hanging signs over the aisles. So, I needed to restock on some generic tealight candles today since I was out, and I figured I would stop by Micheal's and grab some. I had a 40% off coupon that I got in the mail, so off I went to grab some candles. This store isn't my favorite. I've been here a few times recently and in the past, and its located in a strip mall near a Petco and a Guitar Center. Kind of an older shopping complex, right off the I-17. When you walk into the store you have to be careful-if your not paying attention you'll walk right into the service counter they have at the front of the store. Place is laid out like most Micheal's, with a little bit of everything to choose from. Frames, floral, crafts, knitting and other items to choose from all throughout. Kind of a tired store, but if your in a pinch, this place will get you where you need to go. read more

We don't have a Michael's in Hawaii but everyone that knows anything about crafting always talks about it! You can imagine my excitement at finally going to my first Michael's--it was everything I could've dreamed of lol. Being that I was only in AZ for a short trip, obviously I couldn't go shopping for another of things but surprisingly they had the perfect little gifts for my to take back home for my friends and family. I got cute notepads for the adults and I found an awesome paint-your-own lizard kit for my niece. She loved it. We traveled every aisle just to look at the selection and there's so much stuff, I swear they have everything you could ever need for crafting. I'm not a very creative person but I had seem on someone's blog that they had made a wreath for their son's dorm room and as part of that wreath they had put fillable Christmas ornaments on it with little gifts for him to open one a day for December until he came home for Christmas. I thought it was a clever Advent type of calendar and was looking for some type of Christmas countdown for something I volunteer for. Anyway, long story short, I had googled yesterday where to find fillable ornaments and Michael's was listed, so I headed over to our local one. Its a nice store; they were making the transition from Halloween to Christmas and Halloween was 70% off. Thanksgiving things were 50% off. There is a lot to see there and if one was creative, they could pretty much find what they needed in order to do so. Friendly staff. I did find the fillable ornaments but I'm not sure if I'm going to do the project or not. But as I was paying for a couple of items I did find, I did get to sign up for their reward program and I did get a 50% off coupon to use by November 9, so I'm sure I'll be back to use that (or use it online). read more

Sensory overload!!!! I went down the sticker isle. Wow. Mind blown. How can anyone look thru that many stickers and remember what sticker they were looking for? I used to live really close to this store and would go several times a week for fun. The staff is super friendly and helpful! They usually have plenty of products in stock, I buy a lot of paint supplies, and have sales often. The store is clean and in order to use the bathroom you need an employee to open the door. Even though I Ike shopping at Michaels and have done so for years, I will no longer go to the store on Peoria. This is the last time I will be treated rudely and my coupons do not work correctly and they don't help make my experience better. Management here is terrible! Over the past year they have charged my card fraudulently, been rude and unhelpful and even suggested the only way I could get any help was to contact the District Manager! Today was the last straw. This store is amazing and these people make me so happy. I have been shopping at this store for years now and no matter where I move, I will make the drive to this store. They are helpful, friendly, and go above and beyond to make their customers happy. One instance in particular, I called asking for someone to go on the floor and look for 5 - yes, 5!! - pads of scrapbook paper. Brandon and Sharla were so super helpful. Brandon, whose smile I could hear on the phone, graciously went and was able to find all 5 of them. Sharla came on while he was still looking and let me know he's having good luck so far! I just had the worst experience at this Michael's and have preferred to shop at this location for years! They refused to take a valid coupon. The cashier told me they had other issues with that coupon today. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me it did not matter that the coupon was valid from their mailer, that "the computer knew what to do and if it didn't accept it then it didn't." When I said it was still valid she said she couldn't do anything and started to walk away. I told her I would email corporate and she scoffed and said, "yeah good luck with that." I would give no stars if I could. I just came home from shopping there. To the manager with massive RBF i did not piss in your Cheerios! You could use a refresher in human kindness and customer service. I was trying to shop for my wife for our 5 year anniversary which is something with wood. I'm going to make something for her and was completely brushed off and disregarded! Clearly I was lost/ clueless and needed some help! When I asked for help with the colors of paint and said I was looking for a grey but I even said oh this is shimmering silver that's not it. You said ya someone comes in and puts everything back to how it suppose to go where the colors match the name. And walked off and when I said ya I'm looking for grey you say the one in my hand will do. It's silver not grey and you heard me say that. You could have helped me look for the grey. AWFUL. Worst customer service. While recently in Phoenix and needing some last minute supplies for a an event, I had called this michaels asking for a certain product. While on the phone they assured me that they had "SO MANY". I made sure to specify on the phone exactly what I was looking for and where it was located (I had been to a Michaels right before this that only had 1 out of 3 that I needed) and she said "yes we have a ton of those". I informed here that I would be coming right away to pick up 2. I drove 30 minutes out of my way, during rush hour to pick up said item. I arrived and checked the aisle they were supposed to be on - not there. Ok, no big deal, the other ones at the previous store were also on an end cap. Checked the end cap - none. Ok, not panicking because I already called to make sure, maybe they are in the back. The first woman I asked (if they had them in the back/located somewhere else) had no idea what I was talking about. The woman at the cash register (who was checking others out) then chimed in and said, "oh yeah we have a ton of those!" Im assuming this was who I was previously on the phone with. She advised me to check the aforementioned aisle, I said I had. She then got on her headset to ask someone else where they were. We waited around for about 5 minutes for her to then say "oh we're actually out of them, someone right before you came in and bought them, sorry". -__- read more

I wish I could score this zero stars! I came in with a $100 budget to replenish my scrapbooking supply. However, I am very pregnant so I come with swollen feet and terrible back pain. SO. I sat on a step stool trying to decide what stickers I wanted to buy. An employee told me I wasn't allowed to sit. When telling her about my condition she says to me, "You're a liability." Horrible customer service. Firstly, I wasn't even acknowledged when I entered. A simple "Hello" would've sufficed. Then, I grab my things and proceed to head to the registers to pay. In most places I've visited, the cashier will tell you when they're available to help you by simply saying "I can help the next guest!" or something along those lines. I stood there waiting and waiting to be helped while the only cashier available had her back turned to me the entire time. Not to mention, another worker who seemed to be in charge passed right by me several times and saw me standing there for about 6 minutes ready to pay without being helped. I took another lap around the store hoping that there would be another working cashier when I came back. There wasn't. The same girl had her back turned. I waited and waited until another lady came up behind me to stand in line. By that point I was completely over it so I kindly asked "Is your register open?" and she FINALLY turns around and acknowledges me and says yes. I've NEVER in my life gone somehow where I had to be the one to ask the cashier if they were available. I can't imagine if I were someone else who was in a rush.
