They have a huge selection of comic books and collectibles. Honestly, just let a fan loose in there and come back and pick them up after an hour so they have time to browse. Located in downtown Glendale, it's easy to find, parking not so much on a busy day. If comics or mangas are your thing (or that of someone you care about), give this place a visit!

Best part is it doesn't have that funky smell you sometimes get walking into comic shops The selection is legit. They have the newest releases along with classics, vintage comics, rare issues and plenty of variants. There are walls of comics to go through plus graphic novels and collectibles. They even have a huge minifigure section with tons of different characters. Everything is numbered and organized so you're not digging through a mess trying to find something. They also carry some cool random pop culture stuff like the air fresheners which I wasn't expecting. My kids had a good time checking everything out too. The staff was cool and ready to help me find whatever I needed but they weren't hovering over us while we looked around. I appreciate that. Clean store, good selection and plenty to dig through. I can definitely see myself spending some time here hunting for comics. Good value for my dollar here. I found my new spot.

According to the details on their event description, it was first come first served. When they finally opened, they were told that it was already full because the store allowed people to sign up in advance despite the event showing 0 applicants. They were told to sign up on the waiting list. They were selected to play in the tournament (which was supposed to secure a box of OP17) The store failed to uphold what their event said and then refused to sell my husband a box after allowing them both into the event. The manager specifically told my husband "we will not be selling you a box". The store was rude. I can't imagine coming all the way back here for a store that is run like this.

This store is located a block away from me so for singles it's not too bad. Yes, it's not the best price but I don't mind spending it local. The people behind the register are always nice and willing to help. Now the trade in counter service is rough, it's just not with people you'd want to be talking with or they just seem to be bothered by their job or just by speaking to people. Again, the counter service and employees are great. I just wish the second half was just as good.

Calvin and Emmet were working, and they could not have been more welcoming. They invited me to sit at one of the tables so I could watch the game while sorting thru a bunch of boxes. I thanked them for not sweating people who are just trying to find some gold. One of the young men went and got me a cold water and we talked ball for a while as I continued to search. All in all it just feels like the old school shops when you could go in and look for what you like, instead of being pushed out of the way for people buying thousand dollar cards. One other thing I'd like to point out, is they will take a look at anything you feel like parting ways with. Saw a couple different people come in, and the staff gave them fair and honest pricing and advice, instead of belittling them or offering them well under comps. This place is also located in a cool part of downtown phoenix, so you can park for free near the park, walk to the shop, then check into some of the local eateries and bars!

I was surprised upon entering because this building originally housed an art coop. We checked it out anyway. Rip Valley sells sports trading cards, memorabilia, graphic t shirts, sportswear and sneakers. There was a nice lounge area. Street metered parking which operates until 10pm. The meters accept credit cards. Police patrolled. Paid lot parking as well.

There's some transformers as well as a few racks of CGC graded comics on the walls and smaller pockets of various 'geeky' stuff and anime merch. However you should be aware that a)this is a 'pop culture reseller' so they likely do not get much new stock (if at all) so they will buy your stuff as low as possible and sell it high as their business model and b) you will never find a deal or hidden gem here as they live-price most things against recent eBay sales. There's some cool stuff to be found for sure, but be aware of the situation
