I agree with the majority of people that have written reviews. This store is a mess with inadequate help. I dread having to go in here. I generally search online or will pay more at other stores rather than go in here. TWO STARS ONLY BECAUSE THE LINE WAS SO LONG THAT I WAS ABLE TO FIND A COUPON ON MY PHONE FOR 25 PERCENT OFF. This store is awful, I went in just to find a frame for my 13 x 19 picture. I went straight to the back where all the frames are and waiting at the frame counter with 4 girls in the back chatting away. They looked at me a few times and NOTHING. I then go my picture out and framed it myself. I used their scissors and tools that were laying out to secure the prongs. As I was standing there another lady came up and waiting, she the said something to one of the girls in the back room and one gal came out looking highly irritated. She pointed the customer in the direction of the frame she was looking for but left me standing there. DID NOT ask me a thing. I will never return and will tell people about this experience. OH AND I WAITED IN LINE FOR THE ONLY CLERK WITH 9 PEOPLE IN LINE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FEW HOURS TO KILL WHEN SHOPPING HERE. read more

I have visited this store frequently in the past few months and quite frankly I'm tired of the rude, snotty, non-helpful sales staff. An art and craft store should be a friendly, fun place to visit -- not this store. The sales staff that have waited on me don't smile, are blunt and rude, and act like they would be working anywhere else but this MIchael's Store. Says alot for store management too. Morale must be very very low at this store. For me... Even though I may have to drive further from home to find what I want, I'd rather not revisit this store. read more

The phone customer service is horrible! I asked a simple question about whether or not they had a certain item in stock, got my answer BUT then was promptly hung up on before I could get another word out! They finally updated this store and reorganized everything- it seems so much more spread out and spacious now. The staff is sometimes helpful, but I rarely need help finding anything. There is a good selection of arts and crafts supplies here. It's conveniently located. read more

This place is great for finding crafting or framing products and when they have a sale, prices are great! They are well stocked and whenever I've needed party planning supplies (invitation, decorations, favors, etc) they are my go to place. The staff is hit or miss, I've had great experiences and not so great experiences so I guess in that respect they are inconsistent. read more

this micheals is well stocked, but the wait to check out omg the line was too long, in front of me and behind me!!! they had some sort of slow processing of cards which. made the wait even longer. good luck finding some one to help you find something because all 3 of the employees are slowly ringing customers. if they get more employees that would be nice. read more

This is a review of a return today. I had purchased about $86 worth of supplies for a craft project two weeks ago. I returned about $17 worth of unused, unopened supplies today WITH a receipt. The line was quite long. Once up to the register, the lady entered in the returned items but then started closely examining the bag. The staples were still in place as I had NOT opened the items. When she turned the package over, she couldn't see the other side of the staples. She asked if I had opened the packages, and I assured her I had not. She went on to say that she was giving me my refund anyway. But her manner suggested she didn't believe me. I told her again that I would never return an opened item. She said, "in my 16 years, i have never seen a return like this". I even offered to count the items in the bag . I have never been accused of lying. I was mortified and would have asked for a manager if the line hadn't been so dang long. Never again! read more

Do not trust your precious art to be framed at Michaels! I recently had a framing order done at store #9443 that was not done to my satisfaction. The order was a comedy of errors and i didn't find the staff knowledgeable enough to be trusted with doing such work. I was simply getting a canvas gallery wrapped. Upon getting it measured and being charged, I noticed the measurements were taken incorrectly. The worker corrected the measurements, which doubled the amount previously quoted. We were also quoted that it would be complete in 2 weeks. We called to see if the work was done and we were told a mistake had been made with the frame and it would be rushed to be ready in 6 days. We went into the store and were told it still wasn't done. When it was finally complete, we found many errors with the work. We asked for it to be gallery wrapped, but some unpainted canvas was still visible. When we got it home, we noticed that the hangers were put on the wrong end of the painting. If i wanted to used the hangers, i would have to hang it upside down. This was not worth the $150 paid. Don't get sucked it by the 40-50% off. You get what you pay for. read more

Michaels is a great place to shop for craft type things. They have a great selection for just about anything and the staff are generally quite helpful, if they are not too busy. I had some framing work done there and it was excellent. Prices are reasonable. read more

This store is always understaffed and the line is always too long. I usually have to search all the isles to find someone to help me locate something. The staff is usually young and inexperienced, but generally friendly. This store (and, actually other Michael's stores too) could definitely use better management. If I can avoid going into this store, I do. Unfortunately, all my other local scrapbooking stores have gone out of business, so I'm stuck. I have been wanting to frame a sports collectible for some time but wasn't sure if anyone would be able to do it as I'd envisioned. i could not believe the horrible service i received here, i called to make sure they had shirts asked them to check, the guy on the phone said yes they had alot in stock i asked to put them just one on hold and he laughed and said there is plenty, i stop by to pick the shirt up the shelf is empty. The employees hate customers, hate their jobs and hate when we ask questions. The lines are punishing. I have had to abandon my cart several times, since I don't have 30 mins to wait, because only one cashier is working. I only go to this store if it's a last resort. Terrible employees. Not very helpful here. Always a long line. They tried to short me on a return and I had to argue with three people for 15 minutes for $1 (it was the principle). In fairness there is a manger there (not the one who gave the refund) who was helpful on another visit. read more

This Michael's is really good. A lot of their stuff is organized neatly so it is easy to choose like the paint. Other than that there is not much too it. I only came here to get a canvas and paint. My problems with this store is everything feels a bit squished and close together. Also the canvases are kinda in two places; I like to see on a single shelf or wall. Another thing is the line, it is so long for a craft store. It is at least 5 minutes wait. However I did see a sign for a job here. It looks like they are trying to solve the long line problem. read more

It's funny that this Michael's has such low reviews (2.5 stars at he time of posting) because the customer service here as truly rocked my world - on more than one occasion. In the latest news - the Recollections Letterpress Cube I purchased was missing its instructions. With what looked like 60 pieces all with individual labels inside, I knew I didn't have a prayer of putting it together on my own. Cue Andy and Kenny. After a week of trying to chase down institutions at a location close to home, I gave up and called the original store I purchased the item from. Within 15 minutes, not only had the item been tracked down but photos taken of each page and sent to me via text! Compare that with the three different associates I had to speak to at the other store to be told that it wasn't restocked yet. These guys displayed some of most incredible customer service I've never seen in my not-unconsiderable-retail experiences - I only wish I could have the same kind of service everywhere I went! read more
