I've been coming to Michael's Cleaners for years and I'm still a solid regular. MC specializes in dry cleaning any/all items ranging from bedding, full suits, gowns, and everyday wear. They also offer alterations and jobs are normally ready for pick up in a matter of days. No job is too small, nor is it too big. I am always left satisfied and the ladies who run this store go above and beyond to ensure that. Cost is a little on the pricier side compared to other cleaning businesses I've used but the quality and care keep me coming back. Bonus points for the kind alterations lady. I recently needed to have my romper taken in at the pants and made the decision to have it done here out of convenience. The cost quoted for the job was kind of expensive but I decided to go ahead with it and hoped for the best. During pick up, I was allowed to try on my outfit to make sure things were to my liking. Everything turned out pretty well and the stitch job is very secure. 5 stars for MC, just be aware that there may be a slight wait from time to time since the lady runs both the cleaners and the neighboring water business. read more

I went to the place the first time with 4 pieces of clothes- they cleaned two, and could not clean the suede jacket, which was fine. And they lost my favorite pair of Tory Burch wool pants. They had someone else's pants in my bag and I rejected it right away. They promised to follow up with the cleaner and never called me. I went to the store myself and asked them- again promised they would follow up and never did. I texted many times afterwards. First they responded and then totally ignored me. This is the only dry-cleaning local spot I go to because they are very reasonable with their hemming prices. I am only 5'0" tall so you can only imagine how many times I need to go get things altered. They have also done my curtains in my new home when I needed to get them shortened. There are only 2 ladies that really do the hemming and 1 has more experience than the other. Although their English is a little broken, they are easy to speak to and are very personable and friendly. This place is a wonderful little shop that has been around Milpitas for as long as I can remember. I have been going here for years and I have never been disappointed, the woman there is always extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to. This place has made my wardrobe look amazing, as I am a size 29 waist and it is hard to find pants that fit me length wise. 100% recommend going here, they have washed a few of my suits as well. 1st time visit and never going back. Brought my 4 valance curtains to dry clean & alter the length. All 4 valences came back with different length, & cleaner did not dry clean but instead washed the panels. They all shrink as they are silk & the cotton liners now longer than the front. BE Cautious about this laundry! We did 100 dollar worth laundry and when we picked up There were only 23 garment pieces instead of 24 on the receipt. When I inquired abt one less item, the lady tells us oh the owner took it to have it cleaned Again and he will call us back. Month passed and no phone calls and finally we went back and we're told owner will call the next day. Next day passed and went back again and the front lady got hold of the owner on the phone and he said he couldn't find the item and willing to pay 18.50 for the item. What 18.50? Omg! read more

I ONLY take my clothes to this shop. The owner is so sweet and is always willing to go above and beyond to make me satisfied with my clothes. Last week, I brought in a couple of things that needed to be hemmed and she did an AMAZING job. One of the flannels I had boughten previously was way too long and she hemmed it to just the right length and made the stitching on the bottom exactly how it was when I bought it. I also brought in 2 dresses that had pretty complex backs and I asked her to make the dresses tighter by altering the back. It was a pretty hard task and I wasn't even sure if it was possible to fix, but low and behold she did it! A+ for customer service!!! Not only does she do alterations, but you can also take your clothes in to get dry cleaned. My mom comes here at least once a month to get her work clothes dry cleaned and she has never had any complaints. All the prices are super affordable! Great place. They always have my items nice and pressed perfectly. The cost is decent for the service they provide. If you need something extra done like a permanent press, they have no problem doing it and still getting ready to go for you on the agreed date. They have helped me a few times when I was in a pinch and needed my cloths back earlier than what was agreed upon. read more

Decent prices and excellent service. The lady at the counter (I've gone here more than 3 times and I can't believe I forgot her name) is so honest, chatty, and reliable. So far, I've brought in more than 10 pairs of pants (jeans and slacks) and she always gives me her honest opinion, especially when they should be original hem or not. I love that. But, she isn't pushy at all. She is also extremely, almost ridiculously, patient while you stand there and stare in the mirror at your legs deciding how much you want to hem. I have these jeans that I told them to hem and they came out wayyy shorter than I would have liked. But it was totally my fault because I told her to hem that much. I asked the lady that works there if she can properly dry clean my coach purse and she stated "yes". So I allowed her to dry clean my pastel purse, wallet and coin purse. When I picked them up a couple days later they were ruined. It was if there was some type of bleach or peroxide used because it was faded in the areas that were cleaned and not in the areas they missed. I was so upset about this but the lady I spoke to was not there. This lady cost me over $800. Would not reccommend this place to anyone! read more

I needed a pair of jeans hemmed late Saturday. I dropped them off at 12:30 & was ready by 2pm. Perfect & professional hem at $10. I compared prices at other places & it seems that this is the going rate & other places wouldn't have them ready until Monday. Stay away from this place, atleast i'll be. 1.85$ is a bare bones service - no guarantee of even trying to tuck in the shirts in a plastic bag properly to keep out the wrinkles ( cant wear them to office meetings, need to redo them). I have re-furnished clothes and saved money with Michael's Cleaners. My martial arts uniforms are expensive. The team at Michaels has repaired tears in my uniforms, added patches, removed stains and cleaned up many of my uniforms. It saves me a lot of money. I also have old favorite jeans that really should be thrown out. I take them to Michaels, and I get to wear them for more months! I like the comment below. Service has diminished over the years. The quality and attention to details is not there. I've brought back many shirts to be repressed because of creases in the front of the shirt or collars, sleeves not pressed. I was told that I had high standards and was picky. One time I had as many as six shirts shoved into the plastic bag which resulted in the clothes being wrinkled. When I had mentioned this, the owner said the bag can hold up to seven shirts. The previous owner used to only put three shirts per bag and fold the sleeves in front so they stay nice and smooth. They laundered a shirt that was supposed to be dry cleaned, and it was obvious that both sleeves were not even pressed. When I brought it back, the owner was apologetic and said it would be redone properly. Went to pick it up a few days later and only one sleeve was pressed. They are helpful with unknown stains and always manage to get it out and cleaned. They offer good prices, they are fast/reliable and they are more than happy to help out if you need a rush job.
