She noticed my wife was not comfortable putting silverware directly on the table so she quickly collected it after the initial course and said, "I will bring a fresh setting with your next plate." She carefully placed them on the new plate when it came. Things like that take service to another level. She was also amazing at making sure my wife's allergies would not interfere with our experience. I would list them but it would be quicker to wait for the movie to come out. Restaurant week is a prix fixe menu of 3 courses. The first was the appetizer. My wife had the Whipped Goat Cheese spread which is Laura Chenel Goat Cheese, Local Raw Honey, Organic Raspberries, Pecans, Balsamic Date Purée & Toasted Local Barrio Sourdough Bread. Barrio Bread is a local James Beard winner so AMAZING. I had the Wagyu Meatballs that were also fantastic and so big, I took one home. We both came for the burger - Two Grassfed Beef Patties, Sharp Cheddar, G&G's Special Sauce, House-Made Pickles, Shredded Lettuce, Noble Brioche Bun, Served with French Fries. They appeared to be 2 quarter pounders both with cheese served on another local artisan baker, Noble Bread. They were enormous enough that we decided to return soon and split it with the Goat Cheese spread. Finally, we finished with their on premise made Apricot Cheesecake. It is very light. This is not a NY Style dense Cheesecake but still, one of the best I have ever had. The texture was so light with a crunchy bottom crust, whipped cream and a sublime Apricot topping. My husband is a hot mocha guy. They have ice water at the front and in their spacious backyard seating area. It is a dog friendly destination. We enjoy seeing the wide variety of furry regulars. There are free treats for them. The service is consistently friendly and on top of their game. They really know how to move a line but you never feel rushed. They offer a points/ reward program for purchases which is always nice. When I asked my husband about cost he said it is so good he didn't even look! I checked our transaction history. For both of us including tip it was around $44- very decent in this day and age for such high quality. What a gem in Downtown Chandler!
