    Stage before the seating setup!

So here we were at Jester Z Improv Comedy to enjoy an evening of comedy. Besides our grandson was one of the performers. We couldn't miss this for anything in the world. Half of Nate's is for the customers that come in to eat and the other half is set up with the seating for the ones that come in to see Improv Comedy. I must tell that this happened to be an unusual evening as there were more people than seating so they had to add an additional show. There were family members, friends and relatives so the place was packed. I have to admit that I didn't catch the guy's name who presented the way the Improv would go. All who were performing were beginners to Improv Comedy. There is a lot of audience participation with the audience giving suggestions on what will be the next sequence of the comedy and as I said this is improvisational. The performance was incredible and hilarious to say the least. If you are interested look there next show and be prepared to make suggestions to what the performers will do and say. I definitely enjoyed myself as did the rest of the crowd attending the show. I will definitely like to return. If this is what you might like to get involved look them and all ages are accepted. The place is located near the corner of Gilbert Road and Page Avenue.

Stopped here to check the improv out with my friend who took a class with them years ago. Found it to be a fun and silly way to spend an evening, just delightful! The staff, five star actors Laura, Dan, Russ and owner Jeff were all wonderful and it was really fun being a part of the show. The food was also great, we shared fries and got to taste them mozzarella balls. So good! Fry sauce was great!

Summer camp performance for the family

I went back to Jesterz after many years. This time I took my family too. They laughed a lot and really enjoyed the interactive process. My son liked it so much that I signed him up for their Summer camp. He had so much fun. Thanks to Jef, Lincoln, and Sean. They teach them life skills and boost their creativity. We will definitely come back again.

We just had our fifth annual friend and client appreciation night with the "Jesterz Improv Comedy group"! Every year just keeps getting better and better! The comedians are in amazing sync with each other and our whole audience just left happy! This is why we do this year after year - they make happiness contagious!

Fun time! ^_^ We enjoyed it. It was a full house. Plenty of parking. Family friendly show. AC wasn't working efficient enough. Most of the audience were fanning themselves. Great way to conclude hubby's birthday week. Bring a fan or something you can use to cool you off while laughing your butts off. We will return, and we recommend you do as well. ;D

Very cute place, seating was a little different than what we are use to but it wasn't bad! Love that they are locals and you can tell they love what they do! We loved that it's family owned and we LOVE supporting locally owned businesses! Great acts all the way through! Place was clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I like how they would come around to make sure we had everything we needed drink wise! We will definitely be going back for a fun night and good laughs!

While comedy often thrives on edginess and provocation, there's a fundamental line that should not be crossed when it comes to respect and humanity. Throughout the show, both staff and performers targeted individuals in the crowd, making jokes that were not only disrespectful but also hurtful. Pushing boundaries in humor is one thing; outright disrespecting someone's sexuality or gender identity is entirely unacceptable. Upon entering, we were charged for two drinks, which felt more like an unnecessary cash grab than a welcoming gesture. Things escalated further when the owner, JP, made comments about being a police officer. It became evident that he is out of touch with the realities of that role, and his remarks demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and respect for the audience. His disparaging comments toward minorities were particularly concerning and left a sour impression. They advertise big-name headliners, yet much of the show featured local acts. At one point, a black male audience member was subjected to disparaging remarks about his race--what year is this? It was at this moment that we decided to leave. In essence, this club seems to cater to a specific crowd, but it's not a welcoming space for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ or anyone who isn't a white male. The uncomfortable atmosphere ultimately drove us to exit early. I sincerely hope they take a moment to reflect on their approach and consider how they might foster an environment that embraces humor while respecting all individuals. If your idea of comedy involves belittling minorities and repeatedly singling them out, it might be time for some self-reflection. Comedy can be fantastic, I've visited numerous clubs, and it's clear that there's a reason this venue is situated in a strip mall with only half its seats filled.

We did not order food, but I got Sangria. One of the best Sangrias I have had, to be honest! I was very disappointed to hear that a single shot does not qualify for the "2 Drink Minimum". I feel that should be mentioned on the menu for guests, because if I had ordered the shot, assuming it counted, I would have been furious! I also think it's a bit ridiculous that you cannot order food in place of the drinks? As long as people are spending money on something, why should it matter???? The ambiance is good all around, the staff are friendly, and the menu options are decent. I would suggest more non-alcoholic beverages options but their food options are good. The audience was engaging for the most part with the exception of some people that were VIP and happened to be seated in front of me. Two couples on a double date had such dry personalities and apparently forgot how to laugh. In some cases during the show, their lack of engagement and energy made the comedian sense a level of awkwardness, but he carried on his engagement well while others laughed in appreciation of his humor. At the end of the show, he welcomed fans to take photos with him, which I did. I caught the 7pm show which ended early enough to enjoy the rest of the evening exploring other establishments nearby. Overall, this is a great venue. You get a little of everything to make your visit enjoyable. The club is easy to find, parking is free but can fill up fast as there's other shops and a grocery store that share the same lot. If you're not familiar with Improv Tempe, definitely enjoy a night out seeing any comedian here. I'll be back again.

They had an earlier show at 4pm and it made the bday weekend special- yes, aware that sounds old. At 40 and as early-birds... if it doesn't happen before 5- it's a hard pass!! Ironically this was definitely noted in his act having a 4pm show! After parking and getting lost in the parking garage- yeah, we don't make it into the city much but we got a couple flights of stairs in for no apparent reason that would later benefit the additional IPAs we drank during the show ‍ I loved that we got sat right in front next to the stage. Before I go anywhere I look into reviews on Yelp and Google to see the do/donts, and deals/tricks. Yes, plan to get comfy with your neighbor- they sit parties across from one another. As a party of two we sat next to another couple and so on. I'll admit, I'm not a size zero and my husband is 6'5- it was a bit uncomfortable. I can't imagine being on the thicker side or even an elder managing to get out and maneuver around seated patrons to go to the restroom and what not. We knew the two drink minimum would be required so we opt for the beer bucket that included six beers of your choice mix/match accordingly. Worked out great since they had Church Music and we shared an order of wings as we had dinner plans later. Service was great! Our server checked on us multiple times throughout the show. Reviews mention that it gets hot in there since they pack everyone in. It was freezing and I didn't take my jacket.
