First time visiting an improv show and I had a lot of fun. The comedians before the show were very welcoming and interacted with us before the show. We attended the 8:30pm show and there was a good number of attendees. The show was funny, entertaining, interactive and I really enjoyed the show. We had so many laughs and I was super impressive with the creativity of the comedians to think on the spot. We learned that they offer classes and you can book their services for you next gathering. So here we were at Jester Z Improv Comedy to enjoy an evening of comedy. Besides our grandson was one of the performers. We couldn't miss this for anything in the world. Half of Nate's is for the customers that come in to eat and the other half is set up with the seating for the ones that come in to see Improv Comedy. I must tell that this happened to be an unusual evening as there were more people than seating so they had to add an additional show. There were family members, friends and relatives so the place was packed. I have to admit that I didn't catch the guy's name who presented the way the Improv would go. All who were performing were beginners to Improv Comedy. There is a lot of audience participation with the audience giving suggestions on what will be the next sequence of the comedy and as I said this is improvisational. The performance was incredible and hilarious to say the least. If you are interested look there next show and be prepared to make suggestions to what the performers will do and say. I definitely enjoyed myself as did the rest of the crowd attending the show. I will definitely like to return. If this is what you might like to get involved look them and all ages are accepted. My wife and I attended the 6:30 pm show on a Saturday night at JesterZ. There was a large crowd for this casual small space, but everyone has a great view of the comics. Initially, I thought the $25 ticket prices were high, but after checking the Tempe Improv price ($176/person) I now think that $25 is a great price! If you have ever seen the TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", JesterZ patterns their improv comedy after that. The comics did a great job and the MC kept things moving and involved the audience throughout the night. Food and/or drink purchases are required. Fulfilling Improv Comedy: I just had my first experience at the new location in Gilbert, with a back-to-back (the 6:30 and 8pm - yes, it was that enjoyable) helping of extremely good humored, feel-good improv at Jester Z. Fun, refreshing, smooth and well paced, en point humor. Clever, witty and good natured - I haven't laughed so easily in months! Audience participation and interaction was warmly encouraged. Very easy going atmosphere and a genial & smooth dynamic between the cast, whose genuine enjoyment of what they were doing, shone through. Hilarious loved the comics, everything was better than expected. Note they don't serve alcohol but they let our party bring some in.

This place was great! My friends took me here as part of my bachelorette weekend and it was a perfect activity. The space is open, clean, with lots of seating in the theater and a large lobby with a snack bar. If you check in or do some sort of social media post, you get a free bottle of water. I checked in on Yelp to take advantage of that offer! They also offered a discount on some items if you did something else on social media (I can't remember exactly what). But that was really nice of them to offer some freebies and discounts! The show itself was hilarious! It's family friendly so you don't have to worry about crude comedy and even though they had to keep it fairly PG the cast did an excellent job and everyone was cracking up. I especially loved when I got to be the inspiration for a skit as they asked me questions about my upcoming wedding and how I met my fiancee. We enrolled our daughters in a summer improv class and they seemed to really enjoy it at the time. Fast forward a few weeks and my 13 year old daughter started 8th grade in a new school without knowing ANYONE. Within the first two weeks of school she has made a ton of friends and today in the car she says to me: "I think the reason I have made so many friends so fast at this new school is because of what I learned at that Jesterz summer camp." WHAT!? Woohoo!! This not only made my day/week/month to hear but I am sooo grateful to Jeff for helping teach my kids valuable life skills at a super critical point in their development. She said Jeff would reference books like "How to Win Friends and Influence People" and helped with overcoming fears holding her back in social situations. Last year my daughter was asking me to get her therapy for feeling easily embarrassed and awkward at school. Jesterz summer camp turned out to be better than therapy and a game changer for her. We've been to JesterZ before as a family and we were excited that Jeremy Warner was coming as a special guest. His performance did not disappoint. JesterZ is a fun, family friendly place to spend an evening laughing together. The comedy is clean and appropriate for all ages. Our teenagers thought it was absolutely hystercial. It's amazing to see the spontaneous creativity and talent of the improv performers here. The improv scene in the Valley is something I really love, so much that I even got into taking classes and eventually became part of the Jester'Z improv troupe in Scottsdale. I went back to Jester'Z to check out my pal, who had a class show. He's only in the first level class, but I was so impressed with how well everyone did and am excited to see the growth at their final class show. They're definitely on the way to becoming great performers and may even make it into the regular troupe. Jester'Z has shows every Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $12, and that gets you a 1 1/2 hour show where audience members give suggestions that the troupe takes and turns into short comedic scenes. Jester'Z is extremely consistent with its shows, providing a steady stream of laughter on any given night. Many of the improvisers are also actors in other media, such as film and television, and the troupe is extremely professional. We just had Jesterz come out to do entertainment for our Valentines Dinner at church. I can not speak more highly of this group. They are hilarious, our entire group was laughing non-stop. The host has alot of games setup for the comedians and then with the audience's input the comedians must make up on the spot hilarious stuff. I attended an private event for the Shanna Day Team that JesterZ provided the entertainment. First let me say, I am not sure how they could pull it off, as our society has gotten so sensitive to so many different issues and (rightfully so). Let's be real... you could get offended by any number of topics if you desire when it comes to comedy. Comedy has made a living at being offensive. JesterZ did an amazing job at staying politically neutral, religiously sensitive, and not make fun or degrade any race what so ever. AND provide us with some awesome entertainment and laughs. I did not think it could be done, but they pulled it off. We were in Scottsdale for Thanksgiving and I didn't want to sit around the hotel all evening. Luckily, Jesterz has a special Thanksgiving Show. The performers that evening were Dalane, Garrett, Mandy, and Paul. Since it's improv, you never know what you're going to get. Dalane, Mandy and Paul were good but OMG, Garrett was amazing! For one skit, Garrett had to pretend he was an iPod so he stuck out his belly (the dial) and rubbed his belly in a counter-clockwise motion to "select" the music on the iPod. I know, it doesn't sound funny when I describe it but he was fabulous. I didn't laugh very hard the first half hour, but that's pretty common for me when I go to comedy clubs. A diamond in the rough... After missing a movie Saturday night we were looking for something to do at Mesa Riverview and walked past this place (twice). It wasn't clear if this would be the best improv place and my husband was skeptical but the price of $13 was right. I dragged my husband in kicking and screaming and we sat in the back. With his arms tightly crossed with disapproval some of the skits started to make him laugh. By the end of the night he was laughing so hard he was in tears and even took time to thank the management for an unexpected great time. My son attended the teen charismatic connector camp last week. He is 14 and acts like it too. He learned so much about communication in 3 days!!!! He came home and shared about the opening activity helped him learn about himself and speak out. He also made some friends who he continues to communicate with even after the camp.
