    Stage before the seating setup!

So here we were at Jester Z Improv Comedy to enjoy an evening of comedy. Besides our grandson was one of the performers. We couldn't miss this for anything in the world. Half of Nate's is for the customers that come in to eat and the other half is set up with the seating for the ones that come in to see Improv Comedy. I must tell that this happened to be an unusual evening as there were more people than seating so they had to add an additional show. There were family members, friends and relatives so the place was packed. I have to admit that I didn't catch the guy's name who presented the way the Improv would go. All who were performing were beginners to Improv Comedy. There is a lot of audience participation with the audience giving suggestions on what will be the next sequence of the comedy and as I said this is improvisational. The performance was incredible and hilarious to say the least. If you are interested look there next show and be prepared to make suggestions to what the performers will do and say. I definitely enjoyed myself as did the rest of the crowd attending the show. I will definitely like to return. If this is what you might like to get involved look them and all ages are accepted. The place is located near the corner of Gilbert Road and Page Avenue.

Summer camp performance for the family

I went back to Jesterz after many years. This time I took my family too. They laughed a lot and really enjoyed the interactive process. My son liked it so much that I signed him up for their Summer camp. He had so much fun. Thanks to Jef, Lincoln, and Sean. They teach them life skills and boost their creativity. We will definitely come back again.

We just had our fifth annual friend and client appreciation night with the "Jesterz Improv Comedy group"! Every year just keeps getting better and better! The comedians are in amazing sync with each other and our whole audience just left happy! This is why we do this year after year - they make happiness contagious!

Fun time! ^_^ We enjoyed it. It was a full house. Plenty of parking. Family friendly show. AC wasn't working efficient enough. Most of the audience were fanning themselves. Great way to conclude hubby's birthday week. Bring a fan or something you can use to cool you off while laughing your butts off. We will return, and we recommend you do as well. ;D

Hilarious loved the comics, everything was better than expected. Note they don't serve alcohol but they let our party bring some in.

We purchased tickets for the Thursday, January 8th show. We arrived a bit early on the day of the show. It was our first time at Hale and we wanted to be prepared. We were directed to a side entrance where they usually have their music shows. I knew the theatre was small, but was still surprised to see how intimate it was. I didn't mind it. The theatre sells concessions before the show and during intermission. We didn't purchase any. The show was phenomenal! The band and the singers were very talented and put on a fantastic performance. They nailed the original voices, which is not easy, and even hit some of the high notes. It took us back to the disco days of the 70s. We can't wait to catch another show at Hale Center Theatre!

Complimenting the tower is the Theaters markee, brightly lit and a throwback to the days when entertainment and theater were central to an evening out. Venue 5/5 There are really no bad seats as the venue is well designed for sound and a more quaint experience. Performance 5/5 The "Always Patsy Cline" production was excellent. The show artfully told her story, a humble performer who gained national notoriety but was taken at a tender age of 30 in 1963 from a plane crash on her journey home from a performance. I became a fan of hers and other country artists of this period after moving to Arizona. This period was full of names, voices and lyrics that for me epitomized the charm and perhaps the innocence of early America my parents enjoyed and a little before my time. The show was hilarious though & we had a wonderful time. This makes for an awesome date night. One thing I did not enjoy is that I was seated across from my husband, I would have preferred being next to him, so we could talk to one another a bit easier... We did not order food, but I got Sangria. One of the best Sangrias I have had, to be honest! I was very disappointed to hear that a single shot does not qualify for the "2 Drink Minimum". I feel that should be mentioned on the menu for guests, because if I had ordered the shot, assuming it counted, I would have been furious! I also think it's a bit ridiculous that you cannot order food in place of the drinks? As long as people are spending money on something, why should it matter???? We had a good time, and will be back in the future. I just hope that they will consider modifying their business structure in a way that makes a little bit more sense.

Surprisingly,…read morethe venue is large yet intimate but what's always questionable about comedy clubs in general are the funky seating arrangements, the table setup--the chairs are so close to each other that it can feel like you're sitting on top of others while at your table. The ambiance is good all around, the staff are friendly, and the menu options are decent. I would suggest more non-alcoholic beverages options but their food options are good. The audience was engaging for the most part with the exception of some people that were VIP and happened to be seated in front of me. Two couples on a double date had such dry personalities and apparently forgot how to laugh. In some cases during the show, their lack of engagement and energy made the comedian sense a level of awkwardness, but he carried on his engagement well while others laughed in appreciation of his humor. At the end of the show, he welcomed fans to take photos with him, which I did. I caught the 7pm show which ended early enough to enjoy the rest of the evening exploring other establishments nearby. Overall, this is a great venue. You get a little of everything to make your visit enjoyable. The club is easy to find, parking is free but can fill up fast as there's other shops and a grocery store that share the same lot. If you're not familiar with Improv Tempe, definitely enjoy a night out seeing any comedian here. I'll be back again.

I have to share, tonight was different than most. I'm blown away by the professionalism and skill of the caliber of comedians they bring. Josh Adam Myers and his crew handled a very difficult table up front with grace and playfulness in a way that was next-level -- this group was very obviously uncomfortable with the edgier humor and seemed completely unaware of how their energy was affecting others in the room, let alone the comedians braving the stage and simply wanting to make people happy.
