I found my way thru the dark portion by feeling along the walls the entire way, why wasnt there anything gross feeling to freak people out? And the train horn...Listen. It is NOT scary to walk by a wall and suddenly be deafened by a loud horn (we heard it over and over from the line). The 2nd maze seemed like just filler. The hall of mirrors, meh. And Jakob Kells actual house, even more meh. I know, I know Im totally negative Nancy right now. IMO there were 3, no 4 cool things. 1) The 3rd maze was admittedly very cool. It reminded me of one I used to go to when I was a kid back east. 2) The bedrrom in Jakob Kells house w/ the contorted girl- awesome. Very Exorcist-y. 3) The badges that linked to Facebook. Awesome. Im just sad that my zombied out engagement photo that appeared in the house wasnt transfered to my page. 4) Nothing is creepier in scary movies than children. Since it was outdoors on a huge lot, it was a lot different than most of the inside/maze houses you're used to. Tonight we drove down and I was kinda feeling the new local. The Nest is nestled in the back of Rawhide so you have to walk a little ways, but there were some photo ops/concession stands/games set up along the way. We saw the building and I was pretty excited to see what they would do with it this year. *Sidenote: there's no need to "dress up" or wear high heels to a haunted house, I promise. There were tons of girls who looked like they just came from da club* Not to ruin anything for anyone, but rather than telling the story of Jacob Kell throughout the whole thing, there were 3 "different" sections. After going through the first two, I thought "oh that was just a warm-up, they're really gonna do it big at the end". Nope. Oh what a way to spend Valentine's Day! Lots of laughs were had both times but Jimmy O Yang just tickles my funny bone a little more, haha! The Showroom is a great theater space inside Wild Horse Pass. There's a nice bar right outside so if you're planning to drink during the show, it's a more reasonably priced way to grab a drink. They have a bar inside The Showroom as well but get ready for the price mark-up. Bathrooms are on both levels and they both have speakers playing whatever feature is on so you don't have to worry about missing the show. No bad seats in the place so rest assured that you'll be able to find a good seat. Two thumbs up!

So you get on the truck and they drive you around and you shoot zombies. They will let you know when your at your half way point and when it's the last scene to shoot zombies so you can use all your paintballs. I suggest you wear like gym shoes cause it's a rocky area. Often the biggest question I'm asked is: "Do you also get shot at?" Luckily, no you do not. Zombies do not shoot paintball guns so you are safe from getting hit! Instead, you ride military like vessels driving around to zombie infested areas with mounted paintball guns ready for action! Zombie WarZ is very family friendly! Our group of 30+ people had a couple kiddos and they just had a blast! Like I mentioned earlier, the paintball guns are mounted so they are safe from kids, and adults..., from shooting themselves or any humans. You can still point the guns up and down and side to side so targeting is still feasible! The front end of the truck holds 9 civilians, and the double decker trailer had the rest of our crew. Each part of the truck had a soldier helping us with ammo if needed and adjusting our guns if needed (especially if a novice like I accidentally switches the safety on and can't shoot anything).. Becky (or Becca?) our soldier was amazing! She was animated and so much fun! There were also rock tunes playing to get us in the zombie shooting mood! Snowfall show, cute train trip thru lights, yummy drink in a boot, good cocoa. Interesting history exhibit on the brothers, who are Dave Pratt's kids for my other AZ oldies. Loved the gingerbread graveyard this year. So cool! Dusty the Horse is a favorite too. The shop upfront (whose name I must remember next year, Ivy maybe) is a not to miss. They have lots of fun & interesting things at all price levels, great for gifts or you. There is also a Gun Fight Santa show, parade including Santa, cookie decorating, search events if wanted, food trucks, other stage show events, some fun photo opp stops, the jail is open, and more. They have a variety of paid events too like making soap, tours, and tea parties if you wanted to do more than just walk around. And they're connected to Drogba and that makes them even more appealing. This is an amazing field where the Phoenix Rising play and it's an amazing atmosphere especially in the supporters section. One of the best atmospheres in the US for soccer outside MLS and this team needs to be in MLS as soon as possible. One of my favourite things is that all the supporters in the supporters section have a strong left-wing passion and they even have a banner sign that says immigrants welcome or refugees welcome or something. Really wonderful work from all of them. And lots of hot people come here to watch games. So Phoenix isn't the only thing Rising if you know what I mean. They lost points for the recent racism scandal, though.

Luckily, I had a code for $10 off per ticket that I got from their tent where they were promoting Fuel Fest at another car show. We arrived later than I wanted to so it got dark out pretty fast. Our Uber also dropped us off at the wrong area so we had to walk around a bit to the entrance. For the people who drove and parked there, it looked like they were walking pretty far to get to their cars. Besides the car show, there was a car competition, and drifting going on when we arrived. I believe they also had drag racing, drift ride alongs, Lucha Libre wrestling and special guest appearances before that. Later on, they had a laser show by Made in Vietnam! That was cool to see! They were on for about an hour. We watched the majority of it and walked around to see the rest of the cars real quick before leaving. It was getting really cold out! The event had food trucks and drink stands. Didn't try anything but the food smelled good. The only thing needed out there that night were heaters! My hands were freezing towards the end.
