Josh Adam Myers and his crew handled a very difficult table up front with grace and playfulness in a way that was next-level -- this group was very obviously uncomfortable with the edgier humor and seemed completely unaware of how their energy was affecting others in the room, let alone the comedians braving the stage and simply wanting to make people happy. Josh managed to turn what could have dampened the evening into an inspiring interplay with the audience--remarkable in how he kept the energy positive. It's a reminder that the way we carry ourselves can either uplift or dim the atmosphere around us. Also... he hangs out with Jelly Roll and has an amazing dog, so go support him and his posse at another show this weekend!

Very cute place, seating was a little different than what we are use to but it wasn't bad! Love that they are locals and you can tell they love what they do! Now I know we are in Gilbert and there are not a lot of black folks, but we were definitely the only black folks in this line.. and the lady who I believe is the owner, went back inside after setting the table down, and never addressed almost hitting us or how rude she was barking for us to wait outside... then another woman opens the door with a cheerful voice and tells the customers behind us, to come in and waived them in inside! All the while we are still standing there.. we were left standing outside for like 20 mins while they made sure the white folks got inside.. Boone ever came back out and we didn't want to get yelled at again so we weren't opening the door again especially after they made sure to get the white folks behind us inside! I was very upset, I reached out to the manager immediately and they could have cared less! They replied ok let's talk after the show?? Wow! The racism is real and this place is not worth it!

We found parking nearby and there seems to be plenty of it (personally I would avoid any paid lots and stick to the free ones). The club itself is small and intimate; we were sat at the table right in front of the stage next to another party, but thankfully with a chair buffer in between us. I'm guessing when the tix sell out, it would be more crowded. They do have booths in the back for vip seating. I love that there's no drink minimum here and that complimentary cold water is served. I tried a slice of one of the pizzas and I liked it, it had shrimp, artichoke, olives and other toppings. Service was friendly and available. The host, opener, and headliner were all funny and we enjoyed our night here. I got hot during the show but may have been all the laughing. I'd come back and see another show!

The staff was very friendly, and we were able to get in quickly despite the sold-out show. Once inside, they seat you at the next available spots, often across from others in your party. We didn't love that setup, and neither did the couple next to us, so we ended up switching seats so both couples could sit together. The general seating tables are arranged perpendicular to the stage. We were seated at a center-back table, which meant our view was almost completely blocked. The gentleman next to me tried to be considerate, but even when I leaned around him, my view was still obstructed by others. I think I saw the main comedian's face maybe four times total. There were several moments when the comedians made gestures or facial expressions that the front tables reacted to, while those of us in the middle just looked at each other, confused. It felt like we missed a lot of punchlines. That said, the service was great, especially considering how packed it was and how little room the waitstaff had to move. Drinks were delivered quickly, and everyone we interacted with was helpful and positive. Unfortunately, I did find a random floating object in my wine--I'm not sure what it was, but I had to pull it out and set it aside. I understand trying to maximize seating for a popular show, but if I just wanted to LISTEN to a comedy set, I could have stayed home and streamed one while enjoying a good bottle of wine...without any unexpected extras. We did not order food, but I got Sangria. One of the best Sangrias I have had, to be honest! I was very disappointed to hear that a single shot does not qualify for the "2 Drink Minimum". I feel that should be mentioned on the menu for guests, because if I had ordered the shot, assuming it counted, I would have been furious! I also think it's a bit ridiculous that you cannot order food in place of the drinks? As long as people are spending money on something, why should it matter???? We had a good time, and will be back in the future. I just hope that they will consider modifying their business structure in a way that makes a little bit more sense.

The ambiance is good all around, the staff are friendly, and the menu options are decent. I would suggest more non-alcoholic beverages options but their food options are good. The audience was engaging for the most part with the exception of some people that were VIP and happened to be seated in front of me. Two couples on a double date had such dry personalities and apparently forgot how to laugh. In some cases during the show, their lack of engagement and energy made the comedian sense a level of awkwardness, but he carried on his engagement well while others laughed in appreciation of his humor. At the end of the show, he welcomed fans to take photos with him, which I did. I caught the 7pm show which ended early enough to enjoy the rest of the evening exploring other establishments nearby. Overall, this is a great venue. You get a little of everything to make your visit enjoyable. The club is easy to find, parking is free but can fill up fast as there's other shops and a grocery store that share the same lot. If you're not familiar with Improv Tempe, definitely enjoy a night out seeing any comedian here. I'll be back again.

They had an earlier show at 4pm and it made the bday weekend special- yes, aware that sounds old. At 40 and as early-birds... if it doesn't happen before 5- it's a hard pass!! Ironically this was definitely noted in his act having a 4pm show! After parking and getting lost in the parking garage- yeah, we don't make it into the city much but we got a couple flights of stairs in for no apparent reason that would later benefit the additional IPAs we drank during the show ‍ I loved that we got sat right in front next to the stage. Before I go anywhere I look into reviews on Yelp and Google to see the do/donts, and deals/tricks. Yes, plan to get comfy with your neighbor- they sit parties across from one another. As a party of two we sat next to another couple and so on. I'll admit, I'm not a size zero and my husband is 6'5- it was a bit uncomfortable. I can't imagine being on the thicker side or even an elder managing to get out and maneuver around seated patrons to go to the restroom and what not. We knew the two drink minimum would be required so we opt for the beer bucket that included six beers of your choice mix/match accordingly. Worked out great since they had Church Music and we shared an order of wings as we had dinner plans later. Service was great! Our server checked on us multiple times throughout the show. Reviews mention that it gets hot in there since they pack everyone in. It was freezing and I didn't take my jacket. I would've went back to the car to get it but it's a walk and we got lost on the way in lol. In Arizona businesses overcompensate during the summer and you'll find you wear your jacket more in the summer months inside than during the winter. Parking is free- just make sure you take your ticket with you and they'll scan it. We will definitely be back- yes, drinks are overpriced and tickets were reasonable. As for the show- not bad. Great laughs carried throughout and it's always dependent on the act which should be a separate review from the venue. Looking forward to more date nights in the city for sure!
