The cast was hilarious, the drinks were great and they did an awesome job involving the audience. I was honestly worried it might be a little cringe, but I was laughing the whole time! What really stood out was how they handled a medical emergency toward the end of the show. One of the actors noticed right away, the lights came up immediately, they asked if there were any doctors or nurses and they cleared the area so quickly and professionally. It was really impressive to watch. Once they made sure everything was okay, the show picked right back up and everyone was able to keep having a great time. The drunk Shakespeare presentation was so much fun! The cast is talented and witty. I enjoyed observing their real time emotion and they were very engaging with the audience. The Rose theater was difficult to find, so as other reviewers have advised, allow yourself an extra 15 or 20 minutes minimum to get there. The theater was quaint and cozy. You can order drink and snacks directly from a QR code - they had a list of cocktails and mocktails and finger food snacks like a charcuterie board, nuts, and chocolate truffles. My friends and I had such a great time at this show for my birthday. We saw Romeo and Juliet. The theater is decorated in such a fun theme. The theater is small and intimate. They welcome you with an optional welcome alcohol shot. The play is interactive with the audience. The actors were fabulous. Our daughter purchased us tickets for this event for Christmas and when I popped online after we got them, I realized that this show was ending soon and another beginning (drunk Christmas carol)- so we grabbed the last day it's a little difficult to find the entrance door because of the construction on third Street but if you walk to the center of Arizona center and follow the signs, you will be basically taking a right in front of the bank of America and then a left and you'll see a colored door that is the entrance to the event. The space is pretty small and holds about 80 people at full capacity. It is all hard bench seating and the shows last exactly 90 minutes. There will be an opportunity to auction who wishes to be King and queen, and you'll have a lovely upholstered chairs as well as a bottle of champagne and some snacks. For our event, it was someone's birthday so they popped for those seats. The show is probably not for you if you're easily offended as it is quite bawdy and raucous, but great fun!! note that if you opt for the floor seats, which is basically the first row of three bench rows, you most likely will be participating in the show so be prepared for that You are also given a shot to drink upon entry and then they have QR codes so you can order other drinks and snacks as you wish. A beer was seven dollars and they had a decent Chardonnay for $12. You can also get some small snacks like pretzels and such. These people are very talented not only in comedy, but one guy could sing and play guitar like nobody's business One of the cast is singled out at the beginning of each show to do four shots and then there are two opportunities later where the king and queen decide if that character has to take another shot and of course they almost always do. And they must stay in complete form for the show so it is really quite funny. make sure to take a Waymo or an Uber or a Lyft of course :) I have no idea what the show cost since they were gifted tickets but if you're looking for something unique and funny, this might be good for you ! read more

TO PEE, OR NOT TO PEE.... That is the question. Doth thee dare risk breaking the seal in the middle of the show?? You may want to evacuate your bladder before the play or you will miss parts of the show going back and forth to the restroom. Or even worse, you might laugh so hard you will end up peeing your pants! I saw Drunk Dracula, but all their shows follow a similar format. As you enter the room, you are handed a specialty shot of alcohol concocted by the bartender. For all you lushes, there is a bar to keep the drinks flowing... like blood (dracula joke) but you're gonna need it, because there is a drink-on-queue opportunities throughout the show. The room is pretty small, and close quarters, seating about 40 people. The seats are bench seating so be prepared to sit upright for over an hour almost shoulder to shoulder. But if your back is hurting just reading that, the top seats around the perimeter are bar style seating on stools with a narrow counter in front of you. Don't fret, there is not a bad seat in the house; it's 10 feet from the top seat to the floor. These shows are like a Frat Party meets 'Whose Line Is It Anyways' if it took place in the GLOBE THEATER. Drunk Dracula was a riot. You can enjoy sinking shots while you watch Dracula sinks his teeth into his victim. The show is very interactive. The King and Queen (designated to whoever is the highest bidder) can dictate parts of the show's plot when they are given choices by the actors, as well as determines when the actors must drink shots. It's quite the power trip! I wouldn't be surprised if you'd want to wear a crown around your house afterwards. There are mini games throughout the show where audience members become contestants, and of course, losers DRINK! This is a high energy show complete with song and dance. It's a got all the elements to be a thespian's Midsummer Night's Dream come true! Dracula is known to suck, but the show does not; it is hysterical! The actor will occasionally break character, and also joke with audience amid their act and ad lib. You can Count on Drunk Dracula to give you good laugh and a good buzz. read more

A little hard to find the theater, but in a cute little shopping center. They greet you with a shot, yum, and have you fill into your seats. We were upgraded to the second row (from our balcony seats) which was cool. I will say though, the benches have no backs on them so prepare to sit up straight for an hour or so. They have QR codes on your benches to mark your tab and they'll being out drinks to you during the show. The room is small, which is cool because it's very personal. The actors did a great job, and although you may have a doubt in your head of whether the actor is very drunk or exaggerating, it's still hilarious either way and I was very surprised with how much I liked it. I got a Groupon deal and didn't have super high expectations going into this. The location is great you can valet for $10 for under an hour and $20 I think it was like 2 to 4 hours but the valet is right in front of the doors which is really convenient. The theater is adorable it's not huge it's a pretty small theater but there's not a bad seat in the house. The actors were phenomenal they were so funny going into this I was like I hope it's funny and I laughed so hard. They did such a great job. They have QR codes on your seat that you can order from the bar which is really easy if you want to drink during the show. I saw this pop up in my feed and remembered this particular night (awhile back) when me and my Wife 'stumbled' into this lil' Venue in Phoenix ... and were completely blown away! *One of her friends suggested we check out Drunken Shakespeare and advised us to get there early! We did and while standin' in line the anticipation grew as the crowd grew... We got there maybe 30 to 45 mins and still were about 5th and 6th in line! While in line we met another couple who were, also, pretty hyped about the DS Event! When they finally moved the Entrance Rope, we started filing in... They literally met us at the door with shots! Once we were all seated, yep, there was another round of shots! So it's fair to say we were all pretty 'Juiced Up' before the show even started! As the show began, the laughter began and was non-stop through the whole show! The Actors were Phenomenal from start to finish (and by finish, they were ALL Toasted) and the audience was feelin' pretty good, too! This is an Unbelievably Funny Show and the fact that it's 'Shakespearian Based' makes it Hilarious!!! A must-see for anyone who Dares to have thine funny-bone tickled! Went last night and saw Drunk Dracula to end the Halloween season. We had an incredibly fun time. The cocktails were strong and had fun flavors. I got the Bat Wing, as recommended by the hostess. It was like a coconut lime coke. So delicious. The production and cast were funny, lively, and engaging. We sat side-stage and felt immersed in the show. My only complaint is the seating itself. I have a bad back and the benches aren't the most comfortable. Not the end of the world but by the end, I wanted to stretch. I'm not going to have that impact my score or my experience but it's something to note when picking your seats. I'd probably pick the back seats in the future. We found out about Drunk Shakespeare Phoenix and had a blast! We even lucked out and found a Groupon for our tickets so we saved a few bucks too. We were greeted at the door with an opening cocktail shot to start off the festivities and also had an opportunity to order additional drinks and food too. We had already eaten dinner prior to arriving so we only got another drink. Everything came out to us promptly despite all the traffic of everyone coming in at the same time. All the huzzahs raised everyone's mood to a great party atmosphere. The performance was very entertaining and the cast definitely knows their Shakespeare material and then some. Their ability to change gears mid scene and to get the audience to participate was impressive. Our uncle was in town, and we wanted to do something fun and unique. This is both. This theater is located in the Arizona Center across from the Sheridan Hotel. You can valet park right out front. The theater itself is small and quaint which gave us a feeling of being a part of the show. Every seat is a good seat. The actors are really amazing. One actor is the one picked to be drunk and then the others play off of that cast member. There are also cocktails available for audience members to purchase as well. It was very enjoyable for all of us. I would call what we saw "contemporary" MacBeth. It really touched my heart to see the joy and talent that was in the room. This was the first time my husband and I along with three of our friends saw Drunken Shakespeare at the Rose Theatre in downtown Phoenix! What an AMAZING SHOW!! We haven't laughed that hard, ever!! There is a valet driveway across from the Sheraton Hotel, and it is located in I believe a red door. My fiancé paid for parking at the garage right beside the AMC movie theater which is about a 5-8 min walk away. Once you enter the theatre, you check-in with the host & are guided to your seats. One of the actresses will hand your party a shot upon entry, so be prepared for that! The location is intimate & has a unique decor as if you are in some sort of library. We purchased balcony seats which was perfect in my opinion. You have a counter/surface to place your drinks. The servers provide clip boards with menus on them for you to order drinks and light snack. My fiancé tried their whiskey based drink, "The Juliet". I decided on the lavender & lemon cocktail, "The Oberon". Both were delicious! The performance was pure madness! Our show depicted the famous Shakespeare play "MacBeth" and the thespians did an amazing job. The show is extremely interactive - So if you are in the front row, be prepared to debut your acting skills! I think maybe the ticket prices push people off from it but it really is worth it and usually if they can't fit the threatre they will move people closer. You never know what is going to happen or come out of their mouths. Lots of modern private jokes and crazy with modern twists. It is like en english improve play but with lots of booze. Ha!
