My husband and I came here for his birthday to see Steve Byrne. We love comedy but we have littles and don't get out much. They had an earlier show at 4pm and it made the bday weekend special- yes, aware that sounds old. At 40 and as early-birds... if it doesn't happen before 5- it's a hard pass!! Ironically this was definitely noted in his act having a 4pm show! After parking and getting lost in the parking garage- yeah, we don't make it into the city much but we got a couple flights of stairs in for no apparent reason that would later benefit the additional IPAs we drank during the show ‍ I loved that we got sat right in front next to the stage. Before I go anywhere I look into reviews on Yelp and Google to see the do/donts, and deals/tricks. Yes, plan to get comfy with your neighbor- they sit parties across from one another. As a party of two we sat next to another couple and so on. I'll admit, I'm not a size zero and my husband is 6'5- it was a bit uncomfortable. I can't imagine being on the thicker side or even an elder managing to get out and maneuver around seated patrons to go to the restroom and what not. We knew the two drink minimum would be required so we opt for the beer bucket that included six beers of your choice mix/match accordingly. Worked out great since they had Church Music and we shared an order of wings as we had dinner plans later. Service was great! Our server checked on us multiple times throughout the show. Reviews mention that it gets hot in there since they pack everyone in. It was freezing and I didn't take my jacket. I would've went back to the car to get it but it's a walk and we got lost on the way in lol. In Arizona businesses overcompensate during the summer and you'll find you wear your jacket more in the summer months inside than during the winter. Parking is free- just make sure you take your ticket with you and they'll scan it. We will definitely be back- yes, drinks are overpriced and tickets were reasonable. As for the show- not bad. Great laughs carried throughout and it's always dependent on the act which should be a separate review from the venue. Looking forward to more date nights in the city for sure! read more

I never would have thought that I would marvel at the steak at a comedy club- but I did a couple of weeks ago. I had one of the most satisfying steaks, while seeing comic Dave Attell on Valentine's Day. This eight ounce New York strip was not only tender and tasty but prepared perfectly to my med-rare request. It was not over seasoned or overly salted. The charred broccolini and garlic herb mashed potatoes were both excellent as well but the steak was the headliner! I didn't even touch the accompanying red roasted chimichurri sauce. It didn't need it. The service was seamless and the vibe was lively. This night exceeded my expectations. I thought about this entree for three days after, relishing my ideal dinner. Came here for the Ranch Hands show on Friday night. The show was scheduled at 9:45pm so we arrived at 9:10pm. There was a line already formed outside and they were checking you in as you arrived. Free water bottles were passed out as we all stood in line outside which was a pretty nice gesture. We waited which seemed like forever to be let inside and it looked like the previous show ran late. It was chaotic once we approached the door and the workers seemed to be frantic. We walked in not knowing where to go and we were rudely told by one to wait there to be seated. After a minute or so, we were taken to our seat and the server quickly came to welcome us in. We looked over the menu and ordered three drinks. One "Drink In My Hand" - pineapple, blue curacao, rhubarb, bitters, simple lime One "Shake It For Me" - prickly pear, triple sec, lime bitters, lime juice, orange juice One Pina Colada The drinks were good and strong and they were definitely hitting. Went for a girls night with my friend and we had a great time. There surprisingly was no line and we got there a half hour early. Parking was $40 BUT they validated so 3 hours FREE!! That was a huge bonus. We ordered nachos and chicken wings (Asian zing) they were delicious. We actually finished everything. And for drinks, we ordered vodka and soda with lime. Our waiter was great and kept checking on us, leading the table and made sure we were good. He did forget to put my chicken order in but he said he didn't hear me order it so it's fine. Went to Stand Up Live last night for a friend's birthday to see Vinny Guadagnino (from Jersey Shore) and his opener Mike (not the Situation ) both were hilarious and made for such a fun night out! I've been here before for other comedy shows, but this was my first time actually eating at the venue. My boyfriend and I shared the Copper Burger and the Cajun Chicken Sammie, which came with fries (we swapped one order for truffle fries). The food was honestly way better than we expected--super tasty and a nice surprise for a comedy club! The tables are definitely on the smaller side, so it feels a bit crowded trying to balance food and drinks, but still totally manageable. Our server was great--attentive and friendly the whole night. Pro tip: if you park in the garage underneath, they'll validate your parking for up to 3 hours. Just check their website under FAQs for all the deets! Overall, we had a great time. We came out for the Josh Johnson show last weekend and had a great time! Overall, I was impressed and thought the venue was great. We received multiple reminder emails in advance of the show that included tips and parking info -- this was really helpful - and that let us know 3 hours of parking validation is included. Nice! I followed the parking directions and didn't have any issues. Up the escalator and there was the venue -- or rather, the line! I got there about an hour early knowing there would likely be a line and preferring not to be at the end of it. A friendly staff member checked us in on a tablet and then another staff member came through and gave us a slip of paper that we hand in at the door that is our seating assignment. She was also friendly and explained where to validate our parking when we asked her. I know that may seem minimal, but she could have easily just said that wasn't her job and it's inside, but she explained exactly where it was. When we got to the doors, I thought the seating process was impressive. As everyone had been checked in and given a seating assignment during the line, they were getting everyone in at the door really quickly. The young man who sat us pointed out where the restrooms were, which was nice. Our server Derek came by quickly and got our drinks and food order. He was really nice and seemed very genuine. I know some reviews complain about the 2 drink minimum but that's standard, and you can just buy waters or a couple sodas. Pricing on the food and drinks seemed as to be expected. I do wish the menu were a bit more interesting, but I'm not a "bar food" person. Our food took FOREVER. Like almost an hour. Derek did keep us updated and it makes sense that its tough on the kitchen. I can't even imagine the chaos of ~ 200 people ordering food at once! On top of the actual restaurant orders (its attached to Copper Blues, so I assume one kitchen). I got a burger - which was fine but don't go by my opinion. As mentioned, I don't really like "bar food" and I'm not a huge fan of burgers, but it's my go to order when I'm meh about the menu. Fries were good! They're the kind with the seasoned batter, which I love. I also asked for none of the burger sauce and to have mayo instead, and that was no problem. One thing is that the burger is served on a long narrow plate, which seemed sort of harder to deal with than a regular plate, but whatever. Next time I would probably get fries and maybe a hummus plate -- the table behind us had this and it came out fast and looked good. I respect anyone who gets up on stage to do standup -- that's a lot to put yourself out there! But the opener was pretty rough. For a big name like Josh Johnson, I'd expect a more seasoned comic to open. The bathrooms are like a B-. Smart to put in lots of stalls! But then, why is there only one hand dryer?? (And no paper towel option). And ok, technically there are two hand dryers, but there is one you can walk up to and use, and then one to the right of it over a counter going the other way so the only way someone could use that while someone is using the easier one would be to be pressed up against that first person, or climb up on the counter. They come around to close tabs towards the end of the set, and are able to process your card right there. Derek even offered to split our checks which was nice. All in all I thought it was a great venue and everything went mostly well. read more

Make sure you get your parking Validated at the beginning because the line after the show is forever. (Parking was $30) I came here for a sold out stand up Steven Ho show on Saturday night. I think they said that meant 600 people were in the room. Two drink minimum nonalcoholic included. Seating is first come, first served. Our group was sat in the far back corner. With that many people it was quite hot and stuffy. They had two opening acts before the main event. I could hear everything, but they were pretty far off to watch. I didn't like the show, so that didn't help. But I wouldn't come back to this venue for a different show due to crowding, hot, expensive parking and two drink minimum. I have been to several comedy shows at Stand Up Live. Located in downtown Phoenix, the comedy venue is super close to PHX Arena. As well as a bunch of bars and restaurants. Parking isn't easy downtown, but here's a pro tip. You can park in the parking garage adjacent to the venue and validate your ticket after the show. One of the annoying things about most comedy venues in Phoenix is that they have a two-drink minimum per person. The drinks are mediocre, but if you're not a drinker, you can always order a soft drink or a mocktail. And there are other options, too. If you order a bottle of wine, that satisfies the drink requirement for two people. It's a full bar, though with a limited selection of beers and your standard assortment of cocktails for the most part like margaritas. You can also do buckets of beer. I've had the burger and fries at Stand Up Live and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it is. It had a nice aioli and went way beyond what I was expecting at a venue. So, while there are a lot of dining options around Stand Up Live (including Chico Malo where I had dinner before my last visit), you won't go wrong if you munch in between laughs. It's a good size venue that tends to be at capacity for well known acts. I've sat both close to stage and close to the back and the views were good in both areas. Since it's downtown, they're going to bring the preeminent comedians when they come to visit Phoenix. And they often will perform multiple shows over two days. If you're looking to have your cheeks hurt from laughing, check them out. And afterwards, you can roll on over to Copper Blues which shares the space with Stand Up Live. I ordered tickets online to go to Stand Up Live on Oct. 3rd, 2025 at 9:45pm to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I was staying at the Residence Inn by Downtown Phoenix, so I didn't need to worry about parking. It was a quick five minute walk to the venue, and we were seated promptly after our tickets were checked. When my partner and I arrived, we were each given a two-drink minimum, where we needed to order at least two drinks during the event- which wasn't something I was particularly happy about. I understand it's good for business, but I just had dinner where I already drank quite a bit and wasn't trying to have more. It was unfortunate to miss bits and pieces of the performance from rushing to restroom several times because I had to order something after drinking beforehand. Additionally, our server hadn't come to our table for a very long time for us to order our second drinks, so that was a bit frustrating. I completely understand how busy it can be on a Friday night, but I have to be honest as this can be a detriment to other people who want to visit this place. Fortunately, the servers were very kind and patient, not just to us but to other people who had entered the event late or were struggling to choose what to order. The venue itself looked nice and clean, with our seats having a good view of the stage. The restroom just a few steps away nearby a karaoke bar. The comedian of the night, Arnez J, was a great choice for a fun night out. He was hilarious, and even had my partner- who's normally pretty serious- bending over in hysterics. Stand Up Live was an excellent choice to let loose with your spouse and/or friends. It could use a bit more polish as far as service goes, but it doesn't hurt to spend a few more dollars for a unique and bonding experience. read more

I honestly had low expectations bc of some of the bad reviews here but I am happy to say I had a great experience! My friend and I got tickets online for the Shakira and JLo Drag Brunch hosted by Espressa Grande. Park in the garage directly under Stand Up Live with one entrance on 1st Avenue and another entrance on Jefferson. There is a parking validation machine by the entrance inside, free parking for the first 3 hours! $4 for each additional hour. I made sure to validate my parking when I got in, in case it was crazy after or I forgot. I got to the show about 35 minutes before start time so I wasn't rushing. There was a moving line going in and usually shows don't let you inside until your whole party was there but for this show they let me in since my friend was running late. Inside is pretty spacious with the stage in the middle. I recommend going at least 30 min early so you have time for the hostess to get you to your seat, look at the menu and get your order in before showtime. As some reviews mentioned, seating is tight. If you are on the floor, it's rows of tables with chairs squished to each other. I'm tiny and only 5'0 so I had no issues. But I imagine if you're tall or on the more of you to love side, you better make friends with your neighbors bc you will be snuggled against them. Lols You could always move your chair back a lil but then the drag performers were sometimes walking between the rows... My waitress Savannah was great and on top of things! She greeted me and took my order as soon as I sat down. There is a two drink minimum order, I'm so glad they have non alcoholic drinks. I got a lemonade which was only $7 I think and the Love Don't Cost a Thing cocktail for $19. Pricey but it was pretty good and I was expecting the cocktails to be expensive anyways so no surprise there. I also ordered a basket of sweet potato fries and they were yummy. Savannah checked on us a couple times and I made sure to pay before the end of the show in case it got crazy or Savannah went mia, which she didn't! The drag show was awesome. The performers were on stage as well as walking and dancing between the rows. One of them did a death drop right in front of me so that was awesome! Don't forget to have some dolla bills to tip them! The Zoltan Kaszas show was excellent! The VIP Reserved seating was well worth it. Best seats in the house. Loved our salmon, it was perfectly cooked melt in your mouth. The drinks White Lies, and Modern Male were great as well. Service from Alex was fantastic. He made sure to check on us, and was very friendly. Stand Up Live is in a great location.Surrounded by lots of restaurants, bars & fun things to do. That part of downtown PHX reminds me of NYC or downtown Los Angeles because there's lots to see & lots of people to meet. GODFREY one of my favorite comedians was HILARIOUS, I laughed so hard my stomach hurt as if I had done an intense ab workout. Definitely put on a great show & worth seeing again. Parking is typical in that location, all underground & garage parking so be prepared to do a little walking.Stand Up Live had a two drink minimum but luckily had a few nonalcoholic drinks to choose from that were good. Try the mint,cucumber & lime drink ;) They also have good choices on their food menu & I had the truffle fries which were surprisingly good. It's shared table seating but they do a good job at seating you together with your group.The serves are friendly, professional & all seem to work as a team.Ashley was our server & she took great care of us the whole time. My gf got tix for Trae Crowder, who was great, but jfc, just add the 2 drink minimum to your ticket prices! We got sodas, and I ordered 1 shot, and since we didn't get a chance to eat beforehand, we tried the shrimp mac n cheese. $20 a plate for *4* shrimp caked in Old Bay, and a small bowl of mac. Got great seats up front but as others have commented, it's a tight space, once you are seated good luck getting out. Considering how many people were inside it was cool. Absolutely phenomenal time last night. My brother and I went to see Conner O'Malley last night at Stand Up Live. First of all, I need ASL interpreters for when I go to shows. When I called, the gal didn't know anything lol but gave me the manger's email to see. The manager, Brandon, was the MOST HELPFUL PERSON EVER. he set up my interpreters, reserved seating, and made sure my brother and I were set. The club is mid sized, although it doesn't look like much from the outside, it's impressive inside. Servers attend to you during the show - my brother and I each got a few drinks (we both got green tea shots and I got the Bodies Bodies Bodies drink). Sooooo good. Parking wasn't an issue, and the venue is very easy to get to. Everyone there was super helpful and nice. I'll be back! read more

And everyone around us stared to get their drinks and the waiter was delivering the drinks to someone next to us and spills a drink on my side which went into my pocket and then more on my back. A friend and I got tickets to a comedy show, and it was the first time either of us had been here. We arrived in line about a half an hour before the show started and the line was super long outside. We were scheduled for the second show of the evening and had to actually wait til the showtime that was listed before they started letting people in. Staffers had previously come through the line to check tickets and assign tables before the doors opened so once we got to the entrance, it was a quick process to get into our table. We had already eaten so we didn't order any food, but we got excellent service from our server and our drinks came promptly. We lucked out with close seats near the side of the stage, but I would say that every seat in the house is pretty good as it is not a deep venue. I cannot say enough about the incredible staff at Stand Up Live Phoenix. I was there this past Thursday for the Jamie Foxx show and had a terrifying medical emergency. As someone who rarely drinks, I had an unexpected and severe allergic reaction to tequila that caused my blood pressure to drop dangerously low. The professionalism and quick action of the team saved me. I want to give a massive heartfelt thank you to Fred (my server), the hostess with the curly hair, the security team, and the "phone case lady" who all jumped into action immediately. They stayed with me, kept me calm, and managed the situation perfectly until the paramedics arrived. It's one thing to have great entertainment, but it's another to know that the staff is highly trained and genuinely cares about the well-being of their guests. I am so grateful to be on the mend. I believe all tickets come with a 2 drink minimum, which I never understood if that includes soda? For those of us who prefer not to drink. Anyhow, I am a stickler for rules and grabbed 2 beers and 2 margs for my invitee. I knew it would be pricey but I did not expect $64. My service was impeccable, he was attentive and kind. I felt a bit icky that I tipped a little light. Still over 10% but not the usual %25 I lean toward. If the price wasn't so high, I'd have thrown the guy $20. Mental note for next time, try for the soda, see how it goes. The step up was far better than I remembered, though we were further back I had no issues seeing the comedian at all. They have the tables and chair angled perfectly. I always forget how great it feels to laugh, and will try to visit more often. Being right next door to Copperblues it gives somewhere to hang out and wait for the drinks to dissipate. Usually a live band on weekends and though we hung for a but the band never came on. Saw comedian MOJO Brooks at this venue. He was great. However, this venues stand in line process is crazy especially for a city with 100degree weather. The start time of the show was 930pm, they did not let us in until 940pm. Poor management of showtimes. Once in its so tight and not comfortable at all. There is a 2 drink minimum, however, they dont offer regular bottled water only sparkling. Food was okay. I ordered the spinach dip, which was prepared very different from what im use to, but it was okay. Our waitress did not come back to see if we needed anything else. read more

I had VIP tickets to see Aries Spears on August 8th at 9:45PM. I arrived in the area around 8:55PM. and traffic was at a stand still it took me until 10:05 to get into the garage to park. When I tried to find the elevator to get to the venue I could only find one that went to the bowling alley and a restaurant. I walk with a cane and it was difficult for me to walk long distance, they had nobody to help people with which way to go or even a sign saying Stand-up this way. I finally got so frustrated I just went back to my car and came back home. I was so looking forward to seeing Aries, I had these tickets since January. I have never been to Stand-up before and I will never ever go to any shows there in the future. I invested over $100.00 with parking and it was a waste of time and money. Went to see Phil Hanley. He was SO hilarious. What a fun night! Nate, at the door, was the nicest guy and very helpful. He had such positive energy! I know that Luke, one of the box office managers, helped my friend get our tickets. He was the best! We ordered the pretzel and the Caesar salad with chicken. The food was delicious. They also validated our parking in the Cityscape parking garage and the Trophy room is a great speakeasy within walking distance with delicious mocktails. read more

Honestly, such a terrible experience for Bingo Loco last night. First, the drinks are outrageously expensive for what you get and the quality is not good...18.95/drink with a 2 drink minimum, luckily you could get a soft drink in a plastic cup if you didn't want to drink alcohol. Second - bingo hosts were fun at first but spent way too much time in between reading numbers with complete silence. It felt like they were unprepared. They didn't give good instructions on how the bingo game worked each round and the bingo cards were different than traditional bingo so they needed additional explanation. The prizes were not great either, an air fryer, a dildo, a cardboard cutout of Ryan Gosling that got stolen (yes stolen), a pink guitar. Finally, one game they weren't calling any numbers 50 or higher, which prevented anyone from winning a bingo. Something was wrong with the electronics, so people started to get frustrated.
