Came here for the Ranch Hands show on Friday night. The show was scheduled at 9:45pm so we arrived at 9:10pm. There was a line already formed outside and they were checking you in as you arrived. Free water bottles were passed out as we all stood in line outside which was a pretty nice gesture. We waited which seemed like forever to be let inside and it looked like the previous show ran late. It was chaotic once we approached the door and the workers seemed to be frantic. We walked in not knowing where to go and we were rudely told by one to wait there to be seated. After a minute or so, we were taken to our seat and the server quickly came to welcome us in. We looked over the menu and ordered three drinks. One "Drink In My Hand" - pineapple, blue curacao, rhubarb, bitters, simple lime One "Shake It For Me" - prickly pear, triple sec, lime bitters, lime juice, orange juice One Pina Colada The drinks were good and strong and they were definitely hitting. The server took too long to come back so we just had one drink each. Total with tip: $72. The show was ok.

Went for a girls night with my friend and we had a great time. There surprisingly was no line and we got there a half hour early. Parking was $40 BUT they validated so 3 hours FREE!! That was a huge bonus. We ordered nachos and chicken wings (Asian zing) they were delicious. We actually finished everything. And for drinks, we ordered vodka and soda with lime. Our waiter was great and kept checking on us, leading the table and made sure we were good. He did forget to put my chicken order in but he said he didn't hear me order it so it's fine. Everything came out really quick and tasted yummy. And the best part? Marlon was amazing and the acts before him were great also. A time was had!

Went to Stand Up Live last night for a friend's birthday to see Vinny Guadagnino (from Jersey Shore) and his opener Mike (not the Situation ) both were hilarious and made for such a fun night out! I've been here before for other comedy shows, but this was my first time actually eating at the venue. My boyfriend and I shared the Copper Burger and the Cajun Chicken Sammie, which came with fries (we swapped one order for truffle fries). The food was honestly way better than we expected--super tasty and a nice surprise for a comedy club! The tables are definitely on the smaller side, so it feels a bit crowded trying to balance food and drinks, but still totally manageable. Our server was great--attentive and friendly the whole night. Pro tip: if you park in the garage underneath, they'll validate your parking for up to 3 hours. Just check their website under FAQs for all the deets! Overall, we had a great time. The only downside is that the drinks and food are on the pricey side, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

We were passing by as we were walking back to the Cityscape garage after lunch & noticed that this comedy club has a nice line up of comedians! They're located right above the garage & will actually validate your parking up to 3 hours! The comedy club is 18+, they offer a dinner menu plus of your full bar!

We had an amazing time at Stand Up live for the Josh Johnson show. This was our first time to this club. The service was great and the vibes were good. I'm glad we checked this place out, we're coming back for the Demitri Martin show to celebrate my husband's birthday, can't wait!

I honestly had low expectations bc of some of the bad reviews here but I am happy to say I had a great experience! My friend and I got tickets online for the Shakira and JLo Drag Brunch hosted by Espressa Grande. Park in the garage directly under Stand Up Live with one entrance on 1st Avenue and another entrance on Jefferson. There is a parking validation machine by the entrance inside, free parking for the first 3 hours! $4 for each additional hour. I made sure to validate my parking when I got in, in case it was crazy after or I forgot. I got to the show about 35 minutes before start time so I wasn't rushing. There was a moving line going in and usually shows don't let you inside until your whole party was there but for this show they let me in since my friend was running late. Inside is pretty spacious with the stage in the middle. I recommend going at least 30 min early so you have time for the hostess to get you to your seat, look at the menu and get your order in before showtime. As some reviews mentioned, seating is tight. If you are on the floor, it's rows of tables with chairs squished to each other. I'm tiny and only 5'0 so I had no issues. But I imagine if you're tall or on the more of you to love side, you better make friends with your neighbors bc you will be snuggled against them. Lols You could always move your chair back a lil but then the drag performers were sometimes walking between the rows... My waitress Savannah was great and on top of things! She greeted me and took my order as soon as I sat down. There is a two drink minimum order, I'm so glad they have non alcoholic drinks. I got a lemonade which was only $7 I think and the Love Don't Cost a Thing cocktail for $19. Pricey but it was pretty good and I was expecting the cocktails to be expensive anyways so no surprise there. I also ordered a basket of sweet potato fries and they were yummy. Savannah checked on us a couple times and I made sure to pay before the end of the show in case it got crazy or Savannah went mia, which she didn't! The drag show was awesome. The performers were on stage as well as walking and dancing between the rows. One of them did a death drop right in front of me so that was awesome! Don't forget to have some dolla bills to tip them! I'd def come back here again :)

The Zoltan Kaszas show was excellent! The VIP Reserved seating was well worth it. Best seats in the house. Loved our salmon, it was perfectly cooked melt in your mouth. The drinks White Lies, and Modern Male were great as well. Service from Alex was fantastic. He made sure to check on us, and was very friendly. Loved that parking was validated in full (3 hours free, otherwise would have been $40). And loved that Zoltan took photos with everyone, spoke to them, and signed tour posters. So great!

The comedian GODFREY!!!

I have tickets to a jeff wittek show next Thursday and i got "VIP WITH RESERVED SEATING" but on ticket it says first come first serve. How does that work? No matter what i show up early! Just curious

Plenty of staff welcome those standing in line, before opening the doors, once 'checked in' with the staff, you will proceed to a podium as guests enter (Just in front of the entrance doors), at that point they are aware you are flagged for VIP… Read more

Are negative COVID tests/ vaccination card required for entry ? It doesn't state anywhere on our purchase email, tickets, or website that it's needed, but the Yelp reviews I'm reading say otherwise!?

No. There are no vaccine requirements at this venue. Masks are not required either.

Could someone please tell me about the chair situation? For someone with geriatric aches and pains, are they tolerable? Asking for a family member. Thanks!

There are cushions chairs with backs as well as booth style seating and high top stools with backs to them

What's the parking situation like in this area?

There is a garage nearby or you can park on the street. Plenty of parking.

We actually got there around 2:30 PM, and a line had already started forming, but once the doors opened, everything moved pretty quickly and smoothly. With the Royalty package, we received VIP badges, and after check-in, we were welcomed at the entrance and given a colored crown (which determines your team and seating section). You then move through a line for photos (not free--I paid about $25 with a deal), and afterward you have about 30 minutes to walk around, shop, and grab drinks before the main arena opens. Once seated, our host greeted us and got us settled. The food was actually better than I expected! The chicken was huge and tender, the potatoes and buttery corn were really good, and even the soup was decent. The only thing none of us enjoyed was the dessert--it tasted like a frozen éclair and wasn't our favorite. I did appreciate that they offer boxes if you can't finish your food. As for the show, it was just okay from an adult perspective--kind of cheesy and repetitive at times. But honestly, the boys had a blast, which made it worth it. The one downside for me was how often staff came by trying to sell items like light-up swords, flowers, and flags--probably every 30 minutes or so. Even after saying no, they'd come back offering discounts, which got a bit annoying. Overall, we had a fun time and it was a great experience for the kids. Would I go again? Probably not--I feel like it's more of a one-time experience--but I'm glad we did it!

The show was top-notch on every level: scenery, lighting, costumes, choreography, acting, singing, and the live orchestra in the pit. Everyone on stage was bursting with talent that is rarely seen anymore. Specifically, the rhythmic sounds of tap dancing, with the whole troop loudly stomping their heel and toe metal plates with stunning speed in perfect unison. This production absolutely nailed the emotional real-life message. Presented on stage was something everyone can relate to: laughing, crying, dreaming, and touching the human soul in its endeavor to never let dejection permanently impede our hopes for unrealized happiness. In our troubled times, this classic musical offers a dazzling and superb stimulus to recommit ourselves to maintaining happiness as an ongoing goal at every stage in life. The words from one of the iconic show songs state it better than I can: "Come on along and listen to, the lullaby of Broadway. The hip hooray and bally-hoo, the lullaby of Broadway!" On a final note, meals are often described as a "rubber chicken dinner," where food is merely an accompaniment to the main event. This is not the case at the Arizona Broadway (dinner) Theatre. The food easily competes with any remarkable restaurant!

One thing I did not enjoy is that I was seated across from my husband, I would have preferred being next to him, so we could talk to one another a bit easier... We did not order food, but I got Sangria. One of the best Sangrias I have had, to be honest! I was very disappointed to hear that a single shot does not qualify for the "2 Drink Minimum". I feel that should be mentioned on the menu for guests, because if I had ordered the shot, assuming it counted, I would have been furious! I also think it's a bit ridiculous that you cannot order food in place of the drinks? As long as people are spending money on something, why should it matter???? We had a good time, and will be back in the future. I just hope that they will consider modifying their business structure in a way that makes a little bit more sense.

The ambiance is good all around, the staff are friendly, and the menu options are decent. I would suggest more non-alcoholic beverages options but their food options are good. The audience was engaging for the most part with the exception of some people that were VIP and happened to be seated in front of me. Two couples on a double date had such dry personalities and apparently forgot how to laugh. In some cases during the show, their lack of engagement and energy made the comedian sense a level of awkwardness, but he carried on his engagement well while others laughed in appreciation of his humor. At the end of the show, he welcomed fans to take photos with him, which I did. I caught the 7pm show which ended early enough to enjoy the rest of the evening exploring other establishments nearby. Overall, this is a great venue. You get a little of everything to make your visit enjoyable. The club is easy to find, parking is free but can fill up fast as there's other shops and a grocery store that share the same lot. If you're not familiar with Improv Tempe, definitely enjoy a night out seeing any comedian here. I'll be back again.

It was a fun event, the hired actors were good and the food was decent. I don't know if the Senior Center provided the food, or if it was part of the show cost. Regardless... if you've never been to one of these murder mystery shows, it can be extremely confusing. The actors gave each table a hard book folder with notes in it, they chose one person from each table to be a "suspect" of the murder. Not a whole lot of explanation goes in to what each suspect is supposed to do. You really have to read the notes in the folder. I was chosen as a suspect and I needed to say specific things when all the suspects were interrogated up in front of the audience, on a microphone. "Anxiety spike!" A couple times, everyone in the room has to go around to other tables, or mill around the room, asking questions to try and figure out who the killer is. It gets very convoluted. I noticed that some people just gave up because it was too confusing. There should be a little bit more explanation as to what people are supposed to do, ESPECIALLY the people from the audience who are chosen as suspects, or people who have NEVER been to a murder mystery themed show. Overall, it's a fun time, but be expected to do some reading, take some notes and actually participate in the show. It's not like you're there just watching a tv show. Kudos to the company actors. The staff was very friendly, and we were able to get in quickly despite the sold-out show. Once inside, they seat you at the next available spots, often across from others in your party. We didn't love that setup, and neither did the couple next to us, so we ended up switching seats so both couples could sit together. The general seating tables are arranged perpendicular to the stage. We were seated at a center-back table, which meant our view was almost completely blocked. The gentleman next to me tried to be considerate, but even when I leaned around him, my view was still obstructed by others. I think I saw the main comedian's face maybe four times total. There were several moments when the comedians made gestures or facial expressions that the front tables reacted to, while those of us in the middle just looked at each other, confused. It felt like we missed a lot of punchlines. That said, the service was great, especially considering how packed it was and how little room the waitstaff had to move. Drinks were delivered quickly, and everyone we interacted with was helpful and positive. Unfortunately, I did find a random floating object in my wine--I'm not sure what it was, but I had to pull it out and set it aside. I understand trying to maximize seating for a popular show, but if I just wanted to LISTEN to a comedy set, I could have stayed home and streamed one while enjoying a good bottle of wine...without any unexpected extras.
