This place was surprisingly good. The atmosphere was lively and a good feel, Astros game was on and there were a lot of happy customers. I ordered the Mucho platter..cheese enchiladas were awesome and this place is now my go to place to get my cheese enchiladas fix. Rice was good but the refried and charro beans lacked something that I couldn't put my finger on... bacon? Salt? I dunno but they are so close to some great frijoles. I also was not a fan of their ground beef crunchy taco, I think they fixed my plate and it sat for a bit because when I got my plate one side of my crunchy taco was completely soaked in juices from the beef and made my crunchy taco not so crunchy. The salsa that came with the chips was warm and by far the best salsa I've tasted at any mexican restaurant, it reminded me of the salsa my grandpa used to make in the Rio Grande Valley. Despite their not so good beans and soggy crunchy taco id still recommend this place if you're craving mexican food. read more

I've been here many times with friends and family and I've tried so hard to like it. The quesadillas were sub-par and the queso is actually pretty good, but I can't ignore the toothpick I found in my tacos or the bug in my fajita meat. The service is hit or miss depending on the time of day I went but for the most part the food is not good enough for me to want to go again and the food is never served hot when I've been. Today will be the last time I ever go to Mi Rancho again, I'd rather spend a little more money for quality Mexican food. read more

Great service, taste and experience. We organized a 20 person party there with such ease. The fajita bar hit the spot. It was a great value with no surprises. The staff was so helpful it felt like the type of service you get because you're a friend of the owner. Oh and their guacamole game was on point. We had a party of 7 with a reservation at Uncle Julio's that they totally failed on. I called down to Mi Rancho and she got us a table ready immediately. We had 3 kids, one 2 yrs old, and our waiter was INCREDIBLE. Super attentive, refilled the kids' drinks without asking, took the kids' orders early and brought food out exactly as ordered. Our meal was fantastic and the price point was impressive given the amount of food on the plates. This was our first time as a family to dine here and we definitely will be back! Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant, 6096 FM 2920 Rd, Spring, Texas, 77379 The fajitas were so dang good a few weeks ago, I just HAD to Yelp about it. We've been going here several times a month for about 7 years. It's kinda hit & miss on the food quality. Sometimes it's excellent, sometimes akin to Taco Bell. As you can imagine, we've had a large sampling of the lunch, light lunch & dinner fare over the years. They have some very filling & cheap ($6-$7) lunch items & some decent priced dinners ($8-$11). I can't remember if the bar drinks were good or a good price. For health reasons, I quit drinking right after we started going here. There are two things that are consistent with this restaurant; the music is always about one decibel above a roaring jet engine and the fajitas. I'm sure you can surmise how I feel about the music, so let's concentrate on the fajitas. Always tender, tasty and freshly cooked. We opt for a mix of beef and chicken that is seasoned just right. The guacamole is to die for! The green table sauce is good. The red; not my type; it's served warm with huge chunks of raw onion in it. The wait staff is generally amicable, but they don't have much of a personal touch. Which, I suppose, in retrospect, doesn't really bother me that much. The food always comes out correctly, in a timely manner & they keep the drinks filled. So, I guess I don't need them for anything else but the ticket! read more

Food was okay but I didn't expect to be as good as my mothers cooking (obv) but service was perfect. Employees did a great job at making sure our drinks were filled, same goes with our basket of tortillas. Prices on the menu were not bad at all. read more

I was in the area during lunch time so I decided to stop in and order carryout. They seem to get a lot of foot traffic. The portions are good but the fajita was missing a basic ingredient shredded bell peppers :(. The food was ready pretty quickly after i ordered. The chips and salsa were delicious. Mi Rancho is located in the Kroger shopping center in Spring, TX. Expect a large amount of patrons -- and perhaps a wait -- during mealtime. I have opted for Mi Rancho's combos -- one of which, includes chips and salsa, tortillas, a piece of steak, rice, beans, and toppings. I have also tried their quesadillas, tacos, and burritos. Certainly, all have been good. The wait staff work very fast. Prices are generally less than $10 per meal. Great value! read more

Mi Rancho used to be the the place to go on 2920 for Mexican food. We would go on Friday and wait for 30 to 45 minutes to be seated. Then on Sundays go in after church. We phone in orders of quesadillas every Sunday when we volunteer at church,for the past 3 years. The last time I got them they were so greasy they were gross. Today, I ordered a quesadilla for my husband and a salad for me and the guy on the phone was rude about the dressing for the salad. I'm not going to say, I'll never go here again, but I'm pretty sure Mi Rauncho will be the last choice. Ps. A lot of locals call it Mi Rauncho because of the quality. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant. I know what authentic Mexican food is and this is as close as you can get in Spring, TX. We have been going here for 6 years. We go 2-3 times a month and they never disappoint. Sure the wait staff could be a little more personable especially since we are regulars. But eh whatever. Their enchiladas are so delicious. We have tried all of them. Their fajitas are juicy and tender. Their queso flameado is one of my favorite appetizers. The prices are reasonable for what they are serving. I will be sad when we move in a few months but we will still try to eat here when we are in the area. read more

Went to dinner with daughters and grandbabies this evening. Literally 5 tables in the whole restaurant with 20+ employees standing around visiting. We finally got tired of waiting for someone to take our orders and had to go get the hostess, who took our orders. Basically average Tex-Mex. The red salsa is served warm, fresh, and is really nice. Green salsa is cool and almost sweet, no heat but nice. I had the burrito with beef fajita meat, witch for some reason was cut into very small pieces like 1/8" pellet size, strange. Rice and beans were bland. I live right down the road and been here several times. This place has nothing special to offer. Below average Tex Mex. Red salsa comes warm, green comes cool, not very much flavor. Service ranges from down right horrid to average. When there is a crowd they really want to get you in and out as fast as possible. Sorry to say this is an mediocre place to stop. I have been to Mi Rancho probably 30 times over the years and the food was never spectacular but the service and margaritas have always been solid. I brought my wife and 2 kids under 3 there about a week ago. They asked what our kids would like to drink so we ask what types of juice they have. None.....they have no juice in the joint (allegedly). Our options are milk or 2 types of fanta. I'm like who gives there kids under 3 sodas? My wife walks over to the bar and they give her orange juice and pineapple juice. So they lied. They have juice they just dont want to serve it for some reason which is crazy. If it is expensive for them to get then guess what....up the price. I will pay anything to keep my kids mouths shut for 10 minutes. but no they just dont carry it. My wife said something about it and our service was terrible for the rest of the time. now for the bad part.... my wife never throws up. One hour after we left she asked me if i felt bad cause she did and then she proceeded to throw up from 8pm Sunday until 3am Monday morning when i took her to Memorial Herman for 2 IVs and liquid zophran. and then a prescription for zophran. I couldnt go into work since i had to take care of my wife and watch the kids which cost me about $300 for missing a day of work. Memorial Herman just sent me a bill for $775 and the presrciption was $35. so 2 hours at Mi Rancho cost me around $1,110 and one extremely pissed off wife. Needless to say, i will be taking the fam elsewhere in the future. read more

Tried this place out when a huge group of us went after a baseball tournament. Food came out pretty quickly and accurately for how many of us there were. Everything was delicious. Decided to go back the other night. The chicken street tacos are huge and to die for. Chicken is seasoned perfectly. Portions are large for all other items as well. Prices are better than some other places. The food came out scary fast and hot. This would be our number one spot for Mexican except for the fact that the margaritas aren't that good. Ordered one both times we went and They taste like they come from a mix and are watered down. Other than that, we love this place and the service has been awesome. read more

Loved this since I was a kid, since around the time it opened, at one point my family would go every Saturday and get the same waiter. I live in Dallas now but I still love to swing by whenever I visit my parents. Cheese enchiladas are without a doubt the best I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant, I'm not sure what they do with the cheese and sauce but it just tastes amazing, I could have it on almost anything I get. Tampiquena (probably spelled wrong) is my favorite dish, you get a very good portion of fajita, a cheese enchilada, rice and beans. Fajitas are flavorful, rice and beans are above average. One of the few places that does heated salsa, it's better than most. I would give it 10 stars if I could, my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. read more

I'm a big fan of a good margarita. This place doesn't have it. Skinny margarita tastes like an orange limeade. With mint sprig on it. What's up with that??? Then toward the end of our meal, the manager told us we were being too loud, despite the fact that the clanging noises from the kitchen and the screaming kids nearby.
