Why 4 stars? Because it's Tex-Mex and that's what they are. --- --- --- This is approximately the 4800th Tex-Mex restaurant I've been to in the Greater Houston area and it's all about three of them were the definition of 4-stars: "good". Not amazing, not bad. Good! I'll never get over how all of them seem to have the exact same menu and serve the exact same food, but they are all owned and operated by different people. And they all remain in business despite being the same place. But hey, who am I to question the business model: as mentioned, I've supported nearly 5,000 of them at this point. Natalita's was an enjoyable experience. We did what we always do and split chips & queso + fajitas for two. The nice thing here that actually was different than the usual experience is that the queso was brought out for free along with the chips and salsa. The fajitas were solid: the meat could have been a tad higher quality and the beans could have been a little warmer, but we enjoyed everything nonetheless. read more

With the multitude of Mexican restaurants & Tex Mex spots around town, this is a sure compliment to sing praise for NATALITA'S #3. The chain's menu is vast, with extremely fair prices... But even more so, this location cooks up the food very well and the service is warm & attentive. Our favorite items are the Fajita Stuffed Jalapeños (it's an appetizer but can easily be a filling entree) and the Stuffed Avocado (the last time we ordered this, it was almost as big as my head)! It was a good lunch and I was glad that I gave Natilita's a second try. The dish that I evaluate Mexican restaurants on is their chicken enchiladas. I prefer mine with sour cream sauce, so I was pleased that the menu mentioned both sour cream sauce and green sauce. I happily munched on tortilla chip and salsa while waiting for the entree to arrive on the hottest plate ever. The green salsa had no heat, so I dipped the crispy tortilla chips in the red. The server was thorough and polite. This was not the first time I eaten food prepared by Natilitas; the flavor and quality of the food has always been exceptional and this time was no different. The hardiness of enchiladas was enhanced by the creaminess of the sour creme. The rice, beans, and pico salad rounded out a very satisfying meal. read more

At first impression, I was surprised at the expansive interior, but was quickly overwhelmed by a funky odor. It wasn't cleaning supplies, or food. It was more like chemical or melting plastic. Putting that aside, we sat down for our meal. Service was sketchy. Quick at first, and then, once the order was taken, our server disappeared for over 20 minutes. The food was very disappointing, as I had read many positive reviews, but imho Taco Bell is better. Terrible experience. The location and interior of restaurant were great. Chips and salsa were mediocre. When ordering our food our server didn't come back to table until food was ready. Once food arrived we were not impressed with the quality. My Moms shrimp diablo tacos were absolutely awful and undercooked. She took one bite, and immediately couldn't eat the rest. When we told the server he did not take the plate nor offer to get her something else he just said ok and walked off. Once we were ready for checks the server handed us the electronic machine to tap our cards and I repeatedly asked him to see my check first. I asked him to print and he scrolled up and said I could review it on the machine. Which I did then paid. I then asked for receipt to be printed after I paid and he was super irritated and had to walk to the front and then returned with a wadded up receipt and handed it to me. He did not offer to remove the food that was undercooked and untouched off my mother's bill and when she asked to see the receipt he just took her card and inserted it into the machine. We would never eat here again, as the service and food was the quality of a fast food restaurant yet priced as a sit down restaurant. Very disappointing! read more

This is a typical Mexican food restaurant. Nothing special. Everything was just fine. I wasn't sure what to order, so I just got a taco. Half the taco was sitting on the plate rather than in the shell. The whole reason my companion and I decided to eat here was for the Queso Flameado, which was a just thin layer of cheese on top of grease. Lots of grease. It is hard to find a restaurant in Houston that's not either freezing or burning up hot in the middle of July but the moment we walked into this restaurant the AC was at a cool and comfortable setting, which is a big hit, but that was just the beginning, The service and food was impeccable. Not only do you get red and green sauce with your chips you also get cheese sauce, which is not heard of an extra charge. But the final designing factor of a five point rating was the cleanliness of the restrooms This will become our new Mexican restaurant spot going forward. read more

Ain't nobody in here and when I walked in I asked the host if that was the phone to the restaurant and she said yes, I asked her why aren't you answering the phone and she said he was on it. He said he was working on it. I am very polite about the situation and when I went to tell him what I wanted he slammed the receipt ticket on the desk. Not necessarily but just so you everyone knows. Don't try calling in to place a to-go order because they will make up an excuse. Hopefully y'all have learned from the mistake to answer the phone - or put me on hold. read more

Ok service and nice atmosphere (though it smelled strongly of fabuloso) The chips and salsa were good. However, the chili relleno was not good at all. It was honestly disgusting...it was sweet! Like sugar sweet. I've never had a sweet chili relleno in my entire life except one made with fruits and nuts in Mexico but that was to be expected and even that had a savory sauce. This was supposed to be a normal shredded chicken chili relleno. The shredded chicken itself was sweet and the sauce was super sweet like it was made with ketchup. What?! Gross. They were nice enough to replace it was something that was better (cheese enchiladas and a taco which was ok but I've had better elsewhere). Queso sample was good though. As a huge fan of Natalia's #2 to I was excited to see what this new location had in store. The red salsa was on point today and the little sample of queso that came out with our chips and salsa was a nice touch. But the refried beans were a little off, though I can't immediately put my finger on the problem. The aesthetics leave a little bit to be desired, the wall decor is nice, and they obviously put down a fresh coat of paint, but the lighting is harsh, over-bright and cold.
