We're new to the area and keep trying different places. Martha's had our business tonight, especially because we needed an outdoor heated patio to enjoy with our dog, Sadie. :) Service was great. Very friendly! Margaritas were large, but using Grand Marnier (instead of Cointreau) made them a little sweet for my taste. My chicken was grilled but a little overcooked. Still, it was pretty good tasting. Hubby's Tacos al Carbon was delicious. Great marinade! Tip: If you like mole, but don't want enchiladas, just ask them to sub Mole for the sauce on any of the chicken plates. I had a side and it was delicious! If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. Came to this location because I never had it. The place had a decent amount of people, nice location for big groups. Got a booth, they had A LOT of kid shows on. Place comes with complimentary chips and hot sauce. I got the small con queso, and the cheese was really good, it was a little watery, but it was still really good. I ordered the pollo del monte, and I must say, this was really good. The chicken breast was nice and thick! This comes with charro beans, which I was shocked how good they were. I was able to eat them straight from the dish. The staff was very polite and always checking on me at the table. I wish they had horchata available, but they don't. We moved from Cypress, near The Vintage, area to Pinehurst six short years ago. Quite a few good Tex-Mex restaurants in that area. We were spoiled and didn't know it. Despite our best efforts we've been unable to find Tex-Mex near our new place to our liking. Until potentially... Now. Arrived at about 7:30p on a Saturday night. Parking good. Like that it's a stand alone spot on the outskirts of a small town/Tomball. (Better than strip center locale). Clean/restroom too. Seemed fairly busy. Seated immediately. Got off to a slow start service wise as to taking drink orders, and food selections. Staff was apologetic and certainly hustling trying to please, but was clearly sputtering a bit (and we happened to be in a hurry). Once we had the opportunity to order, all was well from there. Attentive, polite and on cue. As to the food, again being our first visit, to me the base-line for Tex-Mex is you must have very good fajita meat. It must have flavor that stands alone and is not like boiled beef chopped into cubes relying on seasoning to provide flavor. My preference is that grilled fajitas actually taste outdoor GRILLED, and these do!!! That in and of itself warrants a return visit! Cheese enchilada-good, chicken enchiladas-even better, hard taco-good, rice-a bit bland/ nothing special. Same with the refried beans but another member of our part indicated that the borracho beans were very good. Will try those next time. My combo plate with fajita meat didn't include a tortilla, cheese of any type or guacamole, just pico/lettuce/onions not so well grilled. Asked for tortilla and they were provided at no additional charge. I'll ask for cheese and/or guac next time. All in all, a very solid visit that very well might end our six year search effort for Tex-Mex in our area that checks all the necessary boxes for us. Will absolutely try again. read more

Sat outside. It was clean. The service was very nice, attentive. I got the sampler and the fajita salad with chicken and beef. I only ate the nachos off the sampler plate and they were put together well. Generous toppings and very filling. Two were beef and two were chicken. The salad was fresh and well made. I had a doctor appointment close by, and used it as an excuse to try out a new restaurant. Someone in the doctors office mentioned Martha's Mexican and said that they really enjoyed it, and so I took the strangers word for it, and came here. Maybe I came at a odd time, but there was literally nobody there besides me. They sat me down and brought out unsweet tea, which I asked for, but the sweet tea literally tastes like nothing. Even unsweet tea has a tea flavor and when I added my splenda, it still just tastes like sugar water. They really didn't have many vegetarian options, it would be nice to have a couple of more vegetarian options or seafood options, so I just got the cheese enchiladas. They do bring out chips and salsa, which is a plus, and I added a side of queso to it, which was really good as well. I asked for one enchilada to have ranchero sauce, and two sour cream sauce on my enchiladas, but there was a confusion and the waitress only brought out sour cream sauce on the enchiladas well, so she brought a side of the ranchero sauce, but I actually preferred the white sauce with it. They did come and check out up on me a couple of times so I appreciate that. I made sure to tip them well, but I don't think I'll be coming back. Nothing really stood out to me and although I did like the queso, it still leaves something to be desired. I did like how they had their stamp on the the bags and to go boxes. Took my mom to this restaurant for Mothers day. Let me start by saying the drive to this place was so cool. It took us thru Old Town Tomball and it felt like we were out of town with the cute old town feel and antique shops. The restaurant is in a neighborhood which was kind of hidden. We ordered queso fresco with chorizo for an appetizer and collectively all agreed was very yummy.. however I ordered the tomatillo enchiladas and can't say that I would recommend. The enchilada sauce that topped this plate was on the sour side and possibly came out of a can. The beans and rice were really good. My nephew had the fajitas and enjoyed them, my sister and bil ordered two different types of Martha's burritos and they really liked their food. This restaurant is right by my new office and we all absolutely love it! They have Mole enchiladas which are hard to find and one of my favorite dishes. Their Mole is fantastic as well as their margaritas, queso, and chips and salsa. I have only been twice, but am looking forward to going back. The restaurant is also really cute, and the service is quick and friendly. Can't wait to try more of their menu if I can get myself to stray from their Mole. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! The enchiladas are the best. The fajita meat is tender and delicious. You can tell they have high quality ingredients and meats. Staff is always friendly. Also my family has celebrated 2 birthdays here because they have fun unique ways of celebrating. One the sombrero singing with dessert. Next one was the airplane that the staff brings out with singing, chanting, part favors and shots of your choice. We enjoyed the experience. I have not seen that anywhere else near town. First time trying Martha's-it didn't disappoint. Neighborhood restaurant tucked away a block or so off 2920. Food was fresh and flavorful. First time here, friends asked me to join as they have been 3 times and said it was really good. Plenty of parking and plenty of tables. Friendly staff and greeted right as we walked in and seated promptly. My friends ordered fajitas for 2 and I ordered the Pollo Mira Mar Prices are good and portions are good, charro beans were excellent and my dish was really good. salas is good too but I suggest you ask for the green sauce in the bottle for something hotter if you like some heat. I ordered the shredded chicken enchiladas, at first I was a little disappointed that the saice had a slight cream of chicken soup feel to it, But after adding fresh pico and jalepenos to it (extra cost) it was perfectly amazing. the service was outstanding. Their house salsa is great but the tomatillo salsa was even better. The diablo had a strong kick to it but good flavor. I loved them all. I dined here for lunch last week for the first time. They offer a lunch menu that is similar to the dinner menu but with lower prices so I took advantage of that. I asked for the chicken fajitas with charro beans instead of the refried beans listed on the menu. I also went with corn tortillas. My waitress informed me that the lunch fajitas come with 1/4 lb. of meat as compared to the dinner portion with 1/2 lb. The cost for the lunch fajitas is $15 and $5 more for the dinner version. First to arrive were the complimentary chips and red salsa. This salsa was served hot (temperature wise) and was watery. Not my favorite both in temperature and its soupy consistency and was a disappointing beginning for me. The fajitas came out later on a sizzling platter with rice, guac and pico on a separate plate. Honestly I wasn't impressed with this part of the meal either. It was ok and not bad but this meal gave me no reason to return. The charro beans looked good with plenty of content but didn't have the taste I wanted. The chicken slices and grilled onions were similar and this meal was average at best. The one saving grace to this meal was our table service was very good. I will give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt and grade this meal a 3 but I am in no hurry to return. read more

I have lived in Tomball for 4 years and just now discovered this place in downtown Tomball. As a Mexican and native Texan, I am picky with my Mexican food and have always judged Tex-Mex restaurants by their salsa and enchiladas - and this place passed both tests. Food was wonderful! We shared a mixed vegetable fajita dish for two. It is called, Vegetable Fajita but it does come with meat. I've never seen a vegetable fajita with meat. Most restaurants who serve fajitas don't serve you many vegetables. This was so good! read more

1st time visit on a weekday at 8:20pm. They close at 9pm. We had the most incredible service. Super friendly and fast. The food was delicious. I had the beef fajita enchiladas. The fajita beef was so good and full of flavor. My son had the chicken quesadilla and loved it. Their salsa is a warm chipotle style which we loved. I'm running out of adjectives to say how much we liked this place. Great 1st experience. We will definitely be back! read more

Why 5 stars? Because it's hard to find much that I didn't like. --- --- --- Okay, I will mention one thing I didn't love: it didn't strike us as the cleanest place. When we walked in, it smelled like cleaning supplies, but not the "everything is super fresh" kind. More like the "mop that's been used for a couple weeks" aura. But you know what? The food was awesome, so 5-stars it is. We ordered the chips and queso, of course. And it was money. My wife ordered the fajitas and everything there was on point: the steak, the tortillas, the rice and beans - all excellent. And I strayed from the norm and ordered Martha's Enchiladas with fried eggs on top. It was kind of an early lunch (11a), and the photos of this looked really appealing, so I went for it. I did not regret it and would happily order this again. One note that no one will care about but me: my wife picked this restaurant out because we were in the area. I knew nothing about it because she had done the research. As we were getting closer, I mentioned that my Grandma lived right in this area at one time. And then we kept getting closer and closer and kept driving as if we were literally going to her old house. It turned out, I literally could have thrown a baseball from the parking lot and hit her driveway. Again, this means nothing to anybody else, but it was a nice sentimental addition to our experience. She's no longer with us, but it was nice to imagine swinging by and taking her to Martha's for lunch. read more

The reviews I saw made me excited to try . It was very empty at 8 on a Saturday night which worried me. It was a mixed bag honestly chips were good. Warm salsa is similar to Ninfas. Wish there was a traditional red as well. The queso was canned cheese with some pico thrown on top. Not great. The steak in the tampiquena was ok . Just a piece of beef fajita chopped off. I did really like the enchilada, rice and tortillas. I would maybe come back but lots of competition for Mexican food . read more

---Dearest Reader I write with great urgency and pray to the stars this finds you well. Hidden off the trails of Alma St. exists a Tex-Mex Oasis. Just writing this message has me craving their delish food and frozen libation. To me, there are 3 different categories of Tex-Mex. IMO, this teeters more in to the territory of Tex-Mex-Mex. Why you ask? Simply put, they have one of the best and authentic moles I have had North of the Rio Grande. Honestly though, their Chicken Mole Enchiladas are a delicacy. I have had both the shredded and the fajita renditions and I finished both before I could even snap a picture. Their "tex-mex" classic cheese enchilada is phenomenal as well. I really like that they don't skimp on the cheese within the enchilada and also provide you with a generous portion of the chili gravy. It is a perfect sea of deliciousness to dip their crisped to perfection vessel that we know as the tortilla chip. Speaking of their tortilla chips, I've dined here 5+ times and never once have I had an overcooked, over greasy or overly thick chip. They really are exactly what one should look for when designing a restaurant tortilla chip (the golden standard so to say). Margaritas are nothing special, not too sweet and a good tartness. The service was great but food was really poor. I ordered three crispy tacos for my son who eats almost everything. He took a couple of bites and refused to eat more. After looking at it, the ground beef was half cooked. The manager tried to tell me that the beef only looked raw because of tomato paste being added. There was no tomato paste in the meat. The only thing added to the meat were onions and peppers. The meat was very raw. The server was apologetic and the manager kept arguing. We decided not to eat there and they did take the food off the bill, which was nice. We paid what we owed and left. read more
