Been here several times but just now getting around to a review. Went for breakfast a few times and they never disappoint. Coffee is good and plentiful, service is friendly and the food is great. Tender steak strips and over easy eggs with red and green sauce, homemade corn tortillas and refried beans. Want it spicy, ala Mexicana. Lunch time gets busy but it's worth the short wait. Storefront is in a strip center next to a sushi restaurant and another local diner. Average decor but you're not here for a trip through history, it's the food. Reasonable prices and appropriate to the amount of you get. If you are from the area, chances are that you'll run into someone you know. Enjoy. read more

This was by far the worst mexican Food I have ever had... I ordered 2 chorizo and egg burritos add potatoes. There was no chorizo. there were tiny pieces of some kind of meat sprinkled through the eggs like a seasoning. I had more cilantro on my taco than chorizo on my $11 burrito. It was all beans and potato hunks... we also had a fajita taco. The fajita meat was in little tiny pieces and didn't have much flavor. I wish I knew how to add the photo. read more

The host did not want to accommodate our group of 9. We had to find chairs and add them to our table ourselves. Host only gave us 1 menu and no silverware. Took our drink order and never came back to take our food order. We had to ask another server if they could help us. 3 more tables came in and they all had their food before we did. I understand it would take longer because it's more of us but we did not order over the top food items 4 people in our group shared 2 plates, 1 person didn't eat. So 50+ min to get 6 plates. 2 of which were kids. The rest of the servers were great. It was just the host. Will probably not eat here again. read more

My wife and I are new to the area so we like to explore different small eating places. Reviews on Yelp caught my eye and since this place was nearby, we decided to give it a try. OMG! Service was great and the salsa that they serve with the tortilla chips comes out hot, probably straight from the pot. Delicious! We tried the caldo de res and it was tasty; the meat was very tender. This will be on our list of inexpensive (not implying that it is cheap), great deal of a place. We will definitely come back for more and will recommend to friends. read more

We ordered food for take out in store. The wait wasn't terrible. About 15 minutes. But the food came out cold. Almost like they made a bunch of burritos and let them sit out. This place was authentic Mexican food, and even my friend asked why it does taste so different. And I told her it was not text mix; it's authentic Mexican food. The service was fantastic our waiter was very patient and gracious. I got traditional Mexican tacos and I would've gave a five star review if my beef wasn't that dry. Food had no flavor, the portion size was small, the potatoes were undercooked and the waitress never checked on me once.

It's pretty good. I usually get 3 chorizo con huevos for $9. Today I had a pretty good taco salad for $20. I wish it had more lettuce though. Plenty of meat, etc. read more

Magnolias best breakfast! We eat brakfast, lunch, and dinner. In two years we have never had a bad experience.

Worst food ever!! Came today to this place for lunch and the place looked promising, some big tables and nice waitstaff, we looked at the menu ( too extensive) and finally we decided to order, my wife ordered the ribeye and me the tampiquena plate, the order took the average time , as soon as the plates came in those iron plates,both meats looked like they were frozen and put directly to the microwave, just the smell of them was like rotten food, my wife had to ask the lady to check if they had the right order , we didn't even have the audacity to try it , never going back again!! read more

Not a fancy restaurant but the food is good and service is friendly. We have been here a few times and tried different dishes and so far it was good, nothing extraordinary but good. They don't offer fountain drinks, so no refills here. We happened to stop here for dinner a couple of days before Christmas, and what a surprise Santa was here handing out cookies and allowing family pictures. It was a great looking Santa too which made my son's day. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would, was waiting over 5 minutes for a host and no one ever came so we sat ourselves down and no attended us so we got up and went to get a waiter, she came we asked for micheladas and we show her our ids and she takes them and says she has to go show her manager. We were looking for a place to eat breakfast after visiting the Texas renaissance festival. After a long weekend of camping and drinking I woke up with huevos rancheros on the brain. We chose this restaurant based on reviews. We were not disappointed. Out of a party of 6 people everyone was happy with their food. The service was great and the prices were amazing. They had no problem serving us breakfast at 10:58 when it ends at 11. The huevos rancheros were reminiscent of the summer I spent in Guatemala. The refried beans were the best I've ever had. If I lived anywhere near this place I would eat here several times a week. They could easily double their prices and I would gladly pay it. Our meals were served with chips and salsa, tortillas, potatoes and salsa, and beans. We had huevos rancheros, eggs and pork chops, 2 cups of coffee, and 2 cups of juice for under $20.
