Today my wife and I went to our favorite Greek restaurant in Cotati. We always had great service, great food and everything else that come with! But everything changed today. We had this very rude person as our server! She was incredibly rude and sour! We order Hummus and salad to start and our main dishes were lamb shank and Alexander! Few minutes later she brought the hummus, and we started eating that. Like 15 min later we asked her, where was our salad! And she starting telling us in a very Rude way that the salad comes with the meal. Then she said im just trying to be polite! Like we told her something bad. We only asked about our salad. Any way this lady is so rude sadly we won't be back here!!! If you don't mind bad service come to this place. Too bad the food is good. Is why is 1* cuz the food. While up north, we found this place. Totally random but great find. They have their own private parking but there is plenty of street parking as well. We came on a Saturday evening. We came in and they asked if we had a reservation but we didn't. I was so glad they still took us in as it was raining that evening. That was nice of them. The place was quite nice. Good for a date night. It's not a big restaurant and no wonder they asked if we had a reservation. I did see after that they are on OpenTable. There were only so many tables. It seems they just opened up this place this year, too! I wanted Greek food. I happen to love lamb chops and saw that they served lamb chops and Greek salad so I had to try this place! It was not a disappoint. The lamb chops were marinated just right and not gamey at all. It came with mashed potatoes and a little gravy and small baby carrots. Good flavors together. I ordered beer. We also ordered their Greek lasagna. That was too much and pretty good for sharing with like four people. The Greek salad was good and refreshing. I may have to try to make this at home! My hubby ordered their Souvlaki mix platter. That was pretty good and interesting how it was prepared. Good thing we ordered with pita bread as there was a lot of humus underneath. Everything was good and we didn't get to try dessert as everything was with pistachios. i not my fave unfortunately but to everyone, it's different so don't let me stop you from trying it! The food here is absolutely amazing! The pork chops I ordered were cooked to perfection, and the lamb shanks was incredibly tender and flavorful. Our waitress was courteous, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. However, our experience was slightly dampened by a reservation mishap. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and were told to wait 20 minutes until they called us. Unfortunately, we missed the notification, and they gave up our table. When we checked back, we were only offered an outdoor table. While I was already hungry and decided to take it, I was disappointed that the hostess never apologized or acknowledged the mix-up. Instead, she just stated that they were fully booked, which didn't make sense given that we had a reservation in the first place. Overall, the food and service (aside from the reservation issue) were great, but the lack of accountability at the host stand left a bit of a sour taste. Hopefully, they improve their reservation system and customer communication in the future. Maybe consider text message f/u, a lot of people blocks calls from unknown number. Amazing dinner last night. Every bite was oohed and awwwed over. The warm pita was perfect and three dips were cold, creamy and refreshing. The Branzino was flaky and mild with a wonderful char on the outside. The mixed meat platter was in a sauce that was to die for! The Moussaka was light and flavorful. This is an authentic full service Greek restaurant worth visiting. I've been to Greece and the food here is very similar to what you get in Greece. We started with Greek coffee, served in the tiny cups with fine grounds on the bottom of the cup. This is what you get in both Greece and Turkey. They have only been open a short time and we need to get the word out when we find a worthy new place to eat. Next, some of our party had the Avgolemono soup, which looked great and everyone raved about it. Then we had beef and lamb gyro sandwich and plate. The sandwich comes with Greek style fries with oregano. Meat is traditional, carved off the rotisserie. My plate included rice and a salad with no fries. The salad was very good and fresh. For dessert, some people we were with had never tried Greek food, so we shared a baklava. All were impressed. The staff is super friendly and helpful. To find an authentic place like this is not easy and Mezzeluna is worth a special trip. I recommend it! read more

We heard about Mezzeluna from fellow Yelpers and as there are few Greek restaurants in our area we were looking forward to dinner. Very happy to report that Mezzeluns delivers the goods. It's a smallish restaurant, about 35 seats inside, very comfortable with an outside patio area. Sat down to our reservation and while looking at the menu ordered a couple glasses of Greek wine. Decided on an appetizer of Babaganush, smoky eggplant and pepper mixture with aromatic oil, pita and herb salad. Very tasty and nice sopping it up with the pita. For entrees my DW had the boneless pork chop which was huge and sat on creamy mashed potatoes, tender carrots and sweet cherry sauce. I had the Moussaka, the traditional dish of Greece. Layers of thinly sliced eggplant, ground beef and herb laced tomato sauce. Both entrees were excellent and good sized portions.. Service was friendly and helpful, all the servers working well together. Mezzeluna is a welcome addition and we will be back to sample other Greek specialties. read more

Last night after the wonderful market in the park we went to Mezzaluna for dinner. We were with good friends who had traveled to Greece like we had years ago. Mezzaluna was nothing short of spectacular! The moussaka was transformational and brought back memories of Athens, Crete and Mykanos, the sunlight, and sparkling waters of the Mediterranean Sea! The homemade quality of everything opened the heart and lifted the spirits. The staff was kind, attentive and quick to respond. At the finish we spoke at length to Elaine, one of the family of owners. She told us the recipes came from her grandmother and that this family owned and run business was purposely seeking customers who they could wrap into the Mezzaluna family! Souvlaki was $34 supposedly "au jus" but thick gravy oversauced. Steamed veggies was a good deal, good variety but some of the Brussels were raw. Dolma ok kinda sweet. Honestly super disappointed in this place. I got here before they opened at 440, there was nobody there when the doors opened and there was no line and we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, but the manager told the hostess to seat us outside as it was quite literally empty. She declined in front of us, and told us too bad and there was no room. There's literally at least 25 tables open and the hostess (red hair young girl) was super rude and wouldn't budge - even after the manager tried to accommodate us. No option to wait for a table. No option for inside or outside and there is literally nobody there still. We sat outside for 20 min till they opened too. There was no reservations only sign on the door either. Super bad experience and now we have to find somewhere else to go read more

I'm Greek. My family comes from Kalavryta and Patras. Although the food was good, you're not a traditional Greek Restaurant like you advertise. Manti, Falafel, and Baba Ganoush are not Greek cuisine. Sorry, but my Yaiyai, god rest her soul, would be offended by you mixing middle eastern cuisine with Greek and calling it Greek.
