Palestinian Lamb and Rice - was baked in the dish.
    Scott M.

We were excited to try this spot as it had been a while since we had last been. Place smelled great! We love Mediterranean do we felt bad we hadn't been there for a while. We walked in and the spices were heavy. Great aromas from the open kitchen. Unfortunately, the food was kind of a let down. We ordered shawarma and a Palestinian lamb and rice special. Both came with a cucumber salad that looked pretty tattered and old. Also, we received tzatziki. Both dishes were reasonably tasty but the lamb on both plates seemed dry, aid didn't taste super fresh. We left feeling nonplussed, and considered whether to take leftovers. I'm sure a lot of their dishes are amazing - the wraps they were cooking looked great- but the dishes we ordered, though spicy and flavorful, didn't seem particularly fresh, which took it down a notch for us. I would recommend them, but I would also caution this place might be a little hit or miss.

I stumbled upon Falafel Hut while waiting in line for Russian River Brewing, and I'm so glad I did. The place was open, the food looked incredible, and I decided to step inside and order a chicken kebab plate to-go so I could keep my spot outside. The server let me know it would take about 15 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the hummus was rich and delicious, and the cucumber salad tasted great. It all came with warm, soft pita that was perfect to dip and grab pieces of chicken. On top of the great food, the service was friendly and welcoming, and I noticed there's plenty of seating both inside and outside if you want to stay and enjoy your meal there. I'll definitely be back next time--and plan to sit down and fully enjoy it!

Stopped by for lunch after a random yelp search while we were in Santa Rosa and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the lamb kebab plate which came with a cucumber salad, hummus, and pita. We also had a side of dolma. The presentation of the dishes was really pretty and everything was delicious! It was plenty of food for the 2 of us to share. The little indoor patio was great for lunch, with all the windows open.

Fiance and I have been here too many times to count. It is probably our favorite restaurant in Santa Rosa. Portions are large and filling, prices are right, taste and quality are delicious and consistent. Our go to orders are their lamb shank, chicken kabob or shawarma plate. We have also tried their lamb chops, lamb gyro plate and spanakopita which are delicious as well. The food always comes out quick. Every dish starts with cucumber salad, hummus and pita bread. One of the best pita bread I've had. Just so soft, warm and has the right amount of chew. The lamb shank is super tender and comes with a side of soup. The chicken kebab is juicy and never dry. We usually have leftovers. They have a wide variety of desserts too. Most times I am too full but we've had their baklava which is really good. The restaurant feels really homey, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. If they have the rose water, you should try it! Thank you Falafel Hut!

Everything was soooo good! The inside was really nice and had a very chill and nice atmosphere. I like that you order at the counter then they bring the food to you. That's always ideal when you are going out to eat with multiple people who want to pay separately. We got the land gyro plate, the lamb and beef shawarma plate, and the falafel. Every single thing was delicious and I can't wait to go try more!

This place was perfect is every way, definitely worth the visit. Food was colorful and delicious, service was kind, and the indoor outdoor area was a lovely, quiet place for lunch. Cannot recommend it enough. Also, portions were huge for the price!!

We just celebrated my birthday here and had the most amazing experience! We got SO much food and all of it was incredibly flavorful. The service was great - it was my first time eating middle eastern food, and the kind gentleman who served us was happy to help out with any questions I had. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back soon.

I came here for my birthday and it was the best choice I could have made! We were able to quickly place our orders and choose our seats. They have an area that is sort of outdoors, which is where we chose to sit. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and my partner ordered a burger. We got an order of falafel as well. It was a bit busy when we got there but our food came out pretty fast. All of the food was SO GOOD. I especially loved the hummus they serve. The olive oil they use tastes very high quality. The shawarma was beautifully seasoned as was the yellow rice. My partner loved his burger and the fries were also delicious! I ordered some desserts to go (mostly baklava) which were delicious as well. Overall, we were very impressed with the food and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back!

Came here for lunch on Saturday around noon and it was easy to find parking (street and parking lot right around the corner). The restaurant wasn't very busy so we were able to go right to the counter and order and find our seat right away. The staff there was super nice and accommodating, and ended up helping me change & update the orders twice (like switching from wrap to pita, and making it combo meal), etc. There were plenty of seating, and there is also a nice patio area that a lot of people seemed to gravitate towards. There is water and rose water that you can try for free as well. One thing that stood out to me was the customer service, the staff was very friendly and recommended things that they thought we should try, and gave us garlic spread and roasted tomato spread to try with our meals. For the food, we ordered lamb gyro, falafel, mixed kebab plate, and a beef & chicken shawarma wrap. Everything came out great and the portions were huge. For the mixed kebab plate, that is great for 2 people to share. I also really enjoyed their falafel which was nice and crispy when it came out. We also got a double pistachio baklava before we left, and that was also delicious. Overall, had a great dining experience here and would recommend it to anyone who is in the area!

I was part of a retirement party planning committee at work, and my task was to find food for 50 people with a budget of $400 -- yes, $8 per person. In this economy, it felt impossible. And no, we didn't want to do pizza (what a terrible way to be "appreciated" at a retirement party). I had never been to Falafel Hut before but had heard great things, so I sent them an email explaining the celebration and my tight budget. The owner personally got back to me and said, "We can do it." They promised plenty of food for 50 people, and even threw in a free salad and baklava as a gift -- plus free delivery! I was blown away. In a time when it's rare to find businesses willing to go above and beyond, Falafel Hut made it happen and made our celebration special. I will definitely be back, and I hope you all give them your business too!

The food at Falafel Hut is authentic and fantastic. Very savory selection offered and all is made fresh. Vegetarian option is delicious as well. We had the Chicken Shawarma and the Chicken Kebab in pita. Falafel are large and homemade. Service is excellent and staff is responsive to requests needed. Overall a good meal with generous portions. Outside and indoor seating are very comfortable. Ambiance is like being in the MediterHighly recommend.

Dining here today was one of the best restaurant experiences my fiancé and I have ever had. Not only is the food so fresh and delicious, the service here is excellent and the family who owns this establishment is so kind (Abdul helped us and he was wonderful!). We ordered the beef and lamb shawarma plate, the vegetarian combo plate, spanikopita, and kunafah. Everything was delectable, and near the end of our meal Abdul brought us complementary dessert. Thank you so much for an amazing experience, Falafel Hut!

Our food came after a very short wait so if you're needing a quick bite, this is the place. Lots of take-out orders were going out the door too. Korean Burrito - write ups on this item were all so complimentary so we had to order it. And they were indeed accurate. It's a hearty burrito with beef, brown rice, carrot/daikon slivers, and avocado. Such incredible flavors all blended together. It has a bit of a kick, which we loved. Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich (K-Town) - chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. They put this chicken sandwich together with some imagination but it works! It also has a bit of a kick. It was a satisfying sandwich that you have to eat quickly because something makes it moist and mine started to fall apart near the end. Everything tasted fresh and flavors are unique and authentic. We would definitely order these two items again, however, they have many other interesting menu items we are excited to try so we'll be torn next time. They also have a grab and go refrigerated display with sandwiches, salads and desserts. Parking lot shared with other businesses. Conveniently located next door to Goguette Bakery and across the street from the hospital.

We ordered three wraps: chicken shawarma, falafel shawarma, and the veggie wrap. The chicken shawarma was the star--super juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Falafel can naturally be a bit dry, so maybe a little extra sauce would make it even better, but overall the wrap had great flavor and fresh veggies. The veggie wrap was delicious too. It comes with avocado and a mix of fresh vegetables. Avocado with falafel is actually a great combo. All the sauces were amazing--the tzatziki, the red sauce, and the toum (garlic sauce). They're full of flavor and elevate the wraps so much. Also salad is exceptional, I'm not normally a salad person but I finished this salad in a minute. The customer service was exceptional. Sam was incredibly kind and cooked everything right in front of me. It took a few extra minutes, but you could tell he was putting real care into every order. We'd been around before, but most times ended up next door getting mediocre bagels. I'm so glad this time we ended up here! The filo crust and walnuts were really tasty and it helped stabilize my blood sugar while I waited for lunch. While waiting I needed to use the bathroom, which ended up being very weird, I needed to trek far and around, go through a secret door with another passcode and another locked door, and had to be let in by staff. Interesting. Also made me miss the retro diner that used to be in this block with amazing malts. Anyway, back to the food. Once I was back, our gyros were ready and they were gorgeous. Mine was in a wheat pita and I asked for extra hummus. His was lamb on white pita and we both tore into them. Baby had some yogurt sauce and some gyro meat and she loved it too! Hubs said it was the best gyro in the county, which is high praise because if gyro's on the menu, he gets it. I've always appreciated the fresh ingredients and authentic flavors, which made me a regular customer. But here I am at 2026, shaking my head, wondering what happened to the original vibrant flavors and the restaurant's knack for impressing diners. I ordered the Mediterranean salad, hoping it would taste the same as it always has, with generous chunks of feta cheese, ripe olives, and a well-balanced vinaigrette. But I can honestly say I was extremely disappointed. They used to include large, crumbly blocks of feta cheese that I could crunch up and enjoy with the olives. This time, I received a salad with only about three small olives and shredded Parmesan cheese. I added my own vinaigrette, along with salt, pepper, and olive oil, but that barely enhanced the flavor. The taste seemed really off, reminiscent of week-old vegetables that had been sitting in the fridge too long, losing their freshness. I'm sorry, Nick the Greek, but this time I have to say you failed me. You did Sonoma County and me a big disservice, leaving me disappointed with a meal that fell far short of your usual standards.

The lamb/gyro bowl has usually been solid since the meat has been good. The chicken pita the meat was pretty dry unfortunately so we've ventured away from that one. I liked the mediterranean bowl for the crispy chickpeas. It'd usually be a lot of lettuce and rice though and not enough of the other veggies. There's different inconsistencies with the food and what you get on that end balance wise. Adding veggies or just the regular included veggies would not amount to much, but feels worse so if it's a cost. We've also gotten the sauce and fries on the side since usually the fries wouldn't be worth it delivery wise, and the sauce on the side makes things easier to control.
