Very good value on the food. My girlfriend and I share the 3 piece cod and chips, and they split the order on to two plates which is nice. On my last visit I ordered the one piece cod with two prawns , and the prawns were huge like probably a twelve per pound type size, plus you get the coleslaw which very fresh. I took this order to go and the next day rather than microwaving it I put the cod, prawns , and onion rings in a cast iron pan , drizzled a bit of olive oil on it all and put in the oven for about 10 minutes and came out just like freshly made almost. They are generous in that they will allow you to substitute onion rings for the steak cut fries, and I do love the steak cut fries because they are healthier and like my mom used to make, hand cut. Our friend wanted to celebrate his birthday with fish & chips and he remembered dining here when they were located in the Oliver's shopping center. The birthday boy hoped it was just as good as before because he said it was THE BEST. The interior was clean and a nice man greeted us as we entered. There are small tables in the front dining area with a TV, a few small tables in the hallway against the wall and larger tables in the very back with another TV. The menu looked really good. The nice server was very personable and has enjoyed working there for many years, a refreshing change! He got each of us a tall ice water and as he came back to take our order, I happened to ask him about their 1-piece vs 2-piece fish and chips. I told him I was thinking about the 2-piece and he said that would be quite a bit of food since their fish pieces are quite large. I appreciated his honesty. We ordered two one-piece fish & chips meals and the birthday boy got the fish & chips with 2 prawns. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder to see how they compared to our favorite place out at the coast. I am a big fan of a good french fry and I must tell you these are one of the best I've had. They were served hot and seasoned perfectly. Full five stars on the fries. Our server was indeed being honest when he said the fish pieces are large. The fish are generous, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Our friend was highly impressed with his huge prawns and wouldn't stop smiling as he enjoyed his meal. He loved the homemade cocktail and tartar sauce too. Our nice server gave the guys an extra cocktail and tartar sauce which they both enjoyed immensely with their meal. The clam chowder with oyster crackers on the side was okay. We probably won't order it again but glad we tried it. They also serve fried oysters and calamari and for those who don't like seafood, they have burgers, chili dogs, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches. Whenever I want fish and chips, I always come here, the fish size that they give you is really big and it's crispy every time. The actual chips are fantastic. My sister who is a super picky eater actually really enjoyed them. I didn't take a picture however I feel the spot is also reasonably priced. I have to be honest. I have never actually eaten in the restaurant every time I go here I do take out. However, I will say that the service here is always great. The workers are always very nice even when you do takeout they offer you extra sauce and vinegar. I know there are other spots in town, but I always come to this one because it's just that good . I had a 2 piece and it was all I could eat. Portions are large. 2 piece fish and chips and iced tea for $20. Good value for top quality. I'm not really a French fry guy and especially wedge or steak fries. But the wedge fries here are crisp outside and tender potato flavor inside. Really good. Cole slaw is good but not as good as the rest. The tartar sauce is yummy too. Since fish portions are large maybe get one sauce per fish. I placed an order for pickup of 2 two-piece fish and chips and an order of shrimp and chips. We were worried the two-piece meal wouldn't be enough, and we wanted to try the shrimp. Our fears were unfounded because it was plenty of food, the fish filets were a great size. It was our first time eating from here and it did not disappoint. The breading was crispy and delicious, it stuck to the fish!!! Hate when it falls right off. Tartar was a prefect compliment, and we loved the wedge cut fries. These are some bold words. This just might be, the best "fish and chips" place in the Bay Area and I've lived and worked all over the BayArea. Now I'm not saying the best seafood spot. The best spot, that is a "fish and chips" establishment. I've gone to many places that claim to be super fresh fish. Usually, in one way or another there is a fishy smell. But not here, not even a hint! The service is quick and friendly. You can order at the counter or grab a menu, sit down and they'll come to you. If you want to order to go, just go up to the counter and place your order. Like I said, I honestly believe this might be the best "fish and chips" in the Bay Area. You know, when you go to a place that deep fries food and once you're done, you feel like you've ever lost five years of your life or your insides are coated in oil. Not the case here. The times that I've eaten here, I didn't end up, with a greasy basket. I don't know if they're putting it through a vacuum cleaner or piece by piece, drying it off. I will tell you this you will not get greasy food! so far I've had the fish and chips and the cod, prawn and chips. Also, the fountain drinks are great. They've got the mixture down right. Didn't think much of it as I walked in. The service was good and the menu options are robust (though they were out of a few things). Ordered the Fish Tacos and the Fish and Chips. I really liked the fish tacos! Big portion (1 big taco) with a lot of fish and homemade salsa, highly recommended. The fish and chips was good but not great. Large portion (2 pieces meal) with a lot of fries. The crust was too thick for my liking but others may like that. I enjoyed the cole slaw salad a lot! I ate here twice in May 2025. fish was excellent and chips were proper chips (not french fries) the batter wasn't thick and gummy but thin and crisp; The fish filet portions were generous but no selection of fish type but the fish they serve is white flaky and top quality. They offer coleslaw; i would like to see green tossed salad on the menu. A few local beers on tap. Prices very fair. they do get busy for pick-up. Service excellent and friendly. First time here and i did not enjoy the food whatsoever. I ordered the 2 piece fish & chips as my dinner, and fried calamari for appetizer. The calamari was too chewy as if it wasn't fried. It wasn't bursting with flavor, it was very bland. My fish came with tater tots, and the fish pieces were very large which was nice, however it was not tasty at all. I would never come here again. I really wish Yelp allowed half stars as Cape Cod Fish and Chips is really a 3.5. Some good, some just ok. First, the hours of operations need some adjusting Monday through Friday. Open at 11:30 instead of 12:00 to help with the lunch rush and avoid people waiting around the door until 12:00. The greeting and service was akin to diner, with the surly cook and the pleasant, but hurried server. I'm fine with that, but it won't garner any great service reviews. If I'm at a fish and chips joint, I order...fish and chips. The fish was mild, tender and perfectly cooked. The beer batter was crisp on the outside with a thicker softer coating underneath. The fish seemed under-seasoned, I would prefer a little more seasoning in beer batter. The over product was not a bit heavy for me, but still pretty well rounded and good. The chips (fries, of course) were fine, but a standard wedge cut with a light batter. Nothing special here. The tartar was definitely nothing special, just some standard fare out of a vat. Pricing was about in-line with what I would expect for a fish and chip joint. Overall, the fish was good, the fries, tartar sauce and service, just OK. Located in a little stop plaza next to the 101 in Coati, this place is a little hidden but once you find it, be ready for some damn good fish and chips. Walk in and was greeted immediately. You place your order and pay at the counter and then have a seat. There's plenty of seating in front and around the side. The server will bring your drink and a little while later bring your meal. I ordered the two piece fish and chips and let me tell you- it was amazing. Crispy, crunch, hot and fresh. No old oil or heavy greasy batter on this flaky white fish. The wedge fries couldn't get in my mouth fast enough. Being in a strip mall, I found that there wasn't any problems parking. Next time you're in the area you have to try this place. read more

Hubby ordered the #2 ($13.95) and upgraded the chips to garlic chips (+$1) and I ordered the Fish taco ($12.95) and upgraded also to the garlic chips (+$1). I was a little skeptical that my order was literally a single taco, but the kitchen heard me thinking out loud and they said "this is no street taco. Nobody orders more than one." So I guess that's it then? As we waited for the order, we walked around the corner to Apna bazaar and got some awesome things for later. When our food was ready, they brought it out to us, and we took it home to eat there. The smell was overpowering, and I was hopeful that the garlic was an indicator of what we were about to eat. The chips were huge and the portions matched. My taco was honestly a massive quesadilla, filled with sauteed fish, cole slaw and cheese, all hot and melty. It was a disaster and not a good flavor combo in my opinion. I've never thought "oh you know what would be good in this quesadilla? hot cole slaw!" Pass. Hubby however thought his fish and chips were decent, and was pleased they thought about packing in malt vinegar to go. Parking is decent but getting in and out of the parking lot is insane and really took a long time for us to maneuver out. Overall, prices for the good stuff seemed fair, and portions were huge. We came in for an early Father's Day meal with the wife and kids and grandma and grandpa, we showed up for a late lunch early dinner at just a little after 4pm and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The owners were great and super friendly, the service was beyond great for dealing with a large party with children. The food was absolutely amazing, I ordered the #9 combo that came with one fish, two prawns and two oysters, they were fried to perfection with some of the best crispiest batter and they all tasted so good, usually when I go out for fried food I feel greasy and disgusted afterwards but not here. If you are looking for gourmet quality fish and chips or prawns or oysters and chips then this is the place to go! And to top it all off the bill for six people with drinks and appetizers was right around $100 and my meal was $29 by itself, we will be making the trip down to Cotati from Santa Rosa a lot more often now that we know about this place. read more

I had chicken tenders, chips and coleslaw with a side of fried mushrooms. The tenders were barely warm, in fact one was still partially frozen they looked like they were from a bag and fried. I was hoping for fresh, homemade tenders. I don't know how they could have been "just warm" because I ordered and sat in my car until they were ready. Obviously not cooked to order. The place is small so a table for 3 that isn't directly in the evening sun- you end up around the corner by the bathroom and feels semi like a storage room. The bench seat makes you sit pretty tall compared to where the table was at so You have to hunch over to eat your food more than usual. The worker was nice, offered refills nicely. The food it self tasted good- I had the pulled pork. My two dates ordered fish plates. The sizes of the fish pieces are generous! It was not disclosed to me that there was an up charge to have regular fries instead of the sweet potato fries. It is a bit pricy so make sure to budget at least $20/per person read more

It's in the strip mall with a hardware store near it, at the strip mall near great Indian grocery store Apna Bazaar. We were expecting the usual awful slop tbqh, that all the other fish & chips shop do. Betty's, the one on Hopper, Toad In The Hole (3 different fish & chips shops that we've eaten at & don't like). We WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!! The fish was great, fresh, CRISPY! The garlic fries were great! You could tell the oil was not OLD OIL instead it was FRESH. It will not make you sick like the other places. My husband is British (home of great fish & chips) & he really liked it! We were both pleasantly surprised! Props to the FEMALE CHEF working HARD in the kitchen, the lovely waitress was wonderful too. Oh & British husband said "BEST FISH & CHIPS I'VE HAD IN AMERICA"! Super complimented!!! Loved it!! Let me preface this by first saying that I don't really like the bland, flavorless fish that comes with your fish and chips. My whole life growing up it just never excited me. However, when my wife mentioned wanting to try this place I was not against it because it had been years since I had it before. While I am not into the fish I am in fact a clam chowder fiend so I had a single piece of fish just to try it and went for a big bowl of chowder. Not surprising the fish was the usual thing you'd expect from a fish and chips place, pretty standard. The batter may be on the heavier side but it really is more about the batter than anything else with this stuff isn't it? The chips however were awesome, they were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and they didn't dump an obscene amount of salt onto them. The clam chowder was somewhat on the mild side, something seemed to be lacking but I couldn't really figure out what it was. However, it was thick and creamy and very delicious. This was our first time at this place and we liked it! The fish was very good, it was very crispy and the tartar sauce had nice flavor. The fries were good. Garlic fries were out of this world!
