Chippy is located in the heart of Sebastopol. We stopped by to get something quick to get our day going. I got the fish and chips and my partner got the chicken sandwhich. He really enjoyed the chicken sandwhich, for me it was a bit crispy. But it is worth the money they give you a large piece of chicken unlike other places. Service here is minimal, you order upfront and they later bring out the food. The spot is also on the pricier side, the meal was around $55 for both plates and 2 lemonades. Now the fish and chips had 2 fish (pretty large) and some chips. The cauliflower was delicious and for me was the hi-light of the dish. But the actual fish lacked salt and had more breading than fish (my humble opinion). Cool spot to try for-sure but for the price I was expecting to really love it, which wasn't the case for me. However it is in a good location and there is a lot of seating!

Amazing service at Chippy's and the food was great! The owner brought my dog water since it was an especially hot day and came to make sure we were doing alright several times. He gave us a free tartar sauce since we ran out (seriously the best tartar sauce I've had) and made sure we were taken care of. And get their cookies, they had the right amount if bite on the outside and soft on the inside Great food and a relaxed vibe!

Arancini & fritto misto (calamari)

Welcome to The Barlow Chippy! My family and I dined in on Father's Day and you best believe we tried just about everything on the menu. Standout, as expected, is the crispy beer battered cod. Perfect ratio batter to fish, fresh local cod, and a thick tartar sauce to pair. While the arancini and calamari were delicious, their accompanying sauces didn't hit for me. Though my brother really enjoyed the remoulade (horseradish sauce), so I know it's just preference. I love the simple but bright nautical decor and the service/food was relatively quick. Can't wait to come back on a cold day and try the clam chowder!

Fried chicken sandwich with fries

This is a nice, casual spot with an "order at the counter and seat yourself" setup. It's a quick, no-fuss lunch or a laid-back dinner. I came for the traditional fish and chips, and the batter honestly reminded me a lot of KFC's recipe. It was okay--crispy and decent flavor--but maybe a bit different than the classic beer batter you might expect. The hit of the meal, though, was the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was extra juicy, and it came on a bun with a perfect, slightly chewy texture that held everything together beautifully. This would be my recommended order if you visit. We also tried the hamburger; it wasn't bad by any means, just not a standout compared to the chicken. Overall, it's a decent, reliable place with great service and a relaxed vibe. I'll be back for that chicken sandwich!

Fish

If fish and chips were an Olympic sport, Chippy would be bringing home the gold. I'm pretty picky when it comes to fish and chips, and this absolutely delivered. The fish was incredibly fresh, perfectly flaky, and wrapped in a light, crispy batter that stayed crunchy to the last bite. No greasy mess--just perfectly cooked fish that practically melted apart. We made it a family taste test: * Fish & Chips: Easily one of the best I've had. Crispy outside, tender and flaky inside. * Wagyu Burger: My son ordered it with just cheese and a bun (classic kid style), and judging by the speed it disappeared, it was a winner. * Chicken Sandwich: My wife couldn't stop talking about how juicy and flavorful it was. I managed to sneak one bite before she defended it like a mama bear. * Shrimp Appetizer: Fantastic. Crispy, perfectly cooked, and the ideal way to start the meal. The fries were hot and crispy, the tartar sauce was excellent, and even the pickled vegetables added a nice little touch to round everything out. The atmosphere at The Barlow makes it even better. Grab a table outside, relax, people-watch, and enjoy some seriously good food. We'll definitely be back--and next time I'm ordering an extra shrimp appetizer because sharing clearly isn't working for this family. Highly recommend if you're looking for some of the best fish and chips in Sonoma County. Five stars all day.

THE BEST BURGER PLACE EVER Got the super cliente burger…read more(with jalapenos instead of serranos) and it was fantastic! Delicious, thick beef, patty, perfectly grilled onions, delicious sauce, very fresh, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles with bacon, and their sweet potato fries are the best I've had in a long time too. Opted for a burger but as a breakfast lover, I'll be back to try their egg options. Prices here were reasonable. And the burger large! I inhaled my bacon cheese burger with chilis before I could take a picture. Delightful with a little heat! Bacon was crispy and the 1/3 patty substantial. Service was quick and the staff friendly. Apparently it's owned by a family for over 17 years! Diner looks like a diner with limited seating but the pictures on the wall showcased some history of Sonoma county and the owning family. I personally like seeing the history of an establishment and/or location. There is one thing I wasn't a fan of: the baklava. I loved that it was offered but it was stale and the pistachios left whole.

The location was fine with bands playing after the Barlow concerts and plenty of seating. Wine and beer were available nearby. The fries were the best. Some say it was expensive but one sandwich was plenty for two people or two meals. Look around and see what lunch costs anywhere in the North Bay, this is not a low cost of living area. Their prices were in line with the area. The owner was a very nice person, she and her restaurant will be missed. Something is going in there now, let's see what their prices are.

The menu consist of sandwiches and fries, however they do those two things very well. You pay a hefty price but the flavors are so thoughtful and fresh. You will not regret it. I ordered the sauerkraut and avocado sandwich with a side of fries for ~$30. I know, it's expensive but damn it was good. The sauerkraut consist of turmeric, carrot, and cabbage. The flavor was a perfect match with melted cheddar in the sandwich. I can understand why this is the best seller. The side of fries were salty and crunchy. I can tell they are freshly made and possibly hand cut. Orders are made to go, but there are plenty of spots to land and enjoy. I went over to Golden Gate Cider a few steps away. You can also order using a QRcode at Golden State Cider if you decide you're hungry after a few.

A birthday night! Another delicious visit to Blue Ridge…read moreKitchen! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and a cozy ambiance that perfectly captures the rustic decor and autumn charm of the season. A huge shoutout to Cindy for her outstanding service! She made us feel right at home and was attentive without being intrusive - the kind of service that makes your experience all the more enjoyable. We indulged in the, truffle fries--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the truffle oil made them divine,Matt's smoked Gouda smash burgers, which were a flavor explosion - juicy, cheesy, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the special beet salad, which was not only delicious but visually stunning as well. To compliment our dinner choices--we enjoyed a refreshing cucumber Gimlet cocktail, an espresso martini (a delightful twist on the classic), and a traditional martini. Blue Ridge Kitchen continues to impress with its incredible food, inviting atmosphere, and stellar service. One of our favs!
