Restaurant Week 2026 First off, thank you to Simmer Claw for offering the "Deal for 4." That made my decision easy! I've been before but only for the seafood boil. It's good, but it doesn't pull me in the way it does my hubby. That said... I have officially fallen in love with the HOT POT experience. Now I just need to find out if you can do both at the same table!?! We arrived Tuesday around 8pm and the place was pretty full. They had an excellent DJ spinning all night, keeping the funky, fun vibes going. Our server treated us like longtime regulars or friends, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. My son-in-law and I kicked things off with sake bombs. Woot woot! I can't speak to the tasting notes, but it definitely did its job. :) The Restaurant Week menu is set and honestly felt like more than enough for the four of us so no need to order extras. Garlic noodles: We could've eaten an entire plate more. Sauce bar: Creativity is key, and I'm convinced there's no wrong combination. It was later in the evening, so a few containers were running low or empty, but everything I wanted was still available. Broths: I'm not a miso fan, but the others at the table loved it. Hands down, my favorite was the bone marrow broth. The flavor on its own was fantastic and only got better with my personal additions. I love watching four people create four completely different bowls using the same ingredients. Proteins: Pork belly, brisket, shrimp, and clams. We demolished all of it. Veggies: Fresh, clean, and beautifully presented. My favorite combo was enoki mushrooms with pork belly, dipped in a spicy sauce our server crafted for us. Oh so good. Noodles: The udon filled us up nicely. We took the egg noodles home and turned them into a cold noodle salad with extra sauce the next day. Win! Dessert didn't go as planned (they ran out), but it is what it is. Overall? LOVED it. Cannot wait to return.

When your brother in-law invites you to the Claw Bar for dinner, you say "yes please" and wrangle up more friends for a deliciously good time. It's been a minute since I've been back here. They added a Hot Pot experience to their offerings. What a fun way to dine for ages 4 - 54. We started off with some oysters, Frog Legs + Fries and 1lb of shrimp. The highlight of the meal was the Miso + Beef Bone Broth and Tom Yum Hot Pot. Proteins: Sesame Beef, Brisket, Shrimp, Tofu an Quail Eggs. Veggies: Napa Cabbage, Mushrooms, Broccolini and Mung Bean Noodles. The true start of the show was that homemade Tom Yum broth. Packed with amazing aromatics and depths of flavor. It was truly a party for all your senses, it left a lingering sense of joy. They offer an extensive menu, surely something to please everyone in your group. Bonus: their music playlist has you grooving while you're noshing.

Happy hour wings... delicious. Garlic butter noodle were good but once I added some of the juice from our boil they were great! I would come back for the happy hour and the chicken wings again. They do have wonderful staff and service was great. Maybe it was just hyped up to me too much and didn't meet my expectations.

I recently found out Simmer Claw Bar has hot pot! As you know, Sonoma County lacks hot pot spots. This is the first hot pot spot I have tried in the county and it did not disappoint! There are 2 Combos to choose from and we went with Combo #1, which helps direct you to choosing the broth (pick 2), the Meats & Seafood (pick 4), Vegetables & Mushroom (pick 2). You can order Combo #2 if you would like more food or have a larger party. For a party of 2, Combo #1 was the perfect size. Or, you can order a la carte as well. We went with the Curry & Miso soup base served half/half in a large square pot. We went with Skirt Steak and the brisket, instant noodle, udon, Enoki, Tofu and Napa Cabbage. They have a sauce bar where you can create your own dipping sauces (soy sauce, garlic, chili paste, sesame oil, lemon juice, cilantro, etc). Let me tell you, the quality of the food is excellent, fresh, beef was sliced and trimmed well, even the enoki mushroom ends were chopped clean. The broths are also delicious and hearty with free broth refills! The price is a bit higher than you would get at various hot pot places in the city but for the quality of the food, the attention to details on food presentation, clean sauce bar, it's worth it. I will definitely be back when I'm craving hot pot!

After Christmas perfect place to take the family for dinner. If you like sea food this is the place to go. Came here with the family to celebrate the MAN's birthday. Food was delicious:) I am not a fan of Sea food but Simmer did not disappoint. We had the shrimp in a bag with nice amount of shrimp, potatoes and corn with the Garlic Butter. We all ordered something different so we could share and take a little of everything and soooo delicious. Service was a little slow but was to be expected since it's right after Christmas other than that service was excellent. Ambiance is casual dress up or dress down everything goes and I loved the Christmas Decor. I highly recommend giving these sea food restaurant a try and I guarantee it will not disappoint your palate. Five stars for this restaurant:)

I've been living only maybe a 10 minute walk from this establishment for the past two years and I finally made it after all that time. Great place to watch sports and have drinks and good seafood. Since today's Monday, they offer $1 wings for a half dozen, great deal if you ask me. My favorite flavor was Cajun. The wings were fat with plenty of meat, better than our local wing spot here in Rohnert Park *Cough Cough*. For the main entree, we ordered the shrimp (Head off) seafood boil with a few add ons like, potatoes, sausage and corn for $8. We also ordered a side of garlic noodles. For drinks, I ordered a Mexican bomb which is about 1/4 of beer in a pint glass and it comes with a shot of tequila and tajin on the rim. I personally wish there was more beer but it was decent nonetheless. The wife ordered 'The Bayou Berry' and gave it a 2.5/5 stars. The total was approximately $84 for everything. Definitely excited to come back and try more items on the menu!

Hot pot with 4 different broth

Our group of 30 came 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night and they treated us with 5 star service! Food was delicious! The owner even came to have a drink with us! No wonder this place is highly rated like it is!

This place is very cool. They do all kinds of great seafood and'll do it in sort of Cajun style. They have more than one kind. Of course, we always go with the Cajun style. My husband is from New Orleans, and we all love it, so we order a couple of big bags of seafood, bring them to the house, put the newspaper down on the table, and have an absolute feast. Everything was gone, and the seafood was seasoned beautifully. There is absolutely no way we're not coming back. Service is definitely efficient, quick, no fuss, no muss. Rustic very uniquely decorated, but the seafood is fire. Make no mistake. If you like seafood and especially Cajun, you will love this spot; it will be your new favorite. You will not be disappointed cheers, my friends as SYOY. August 28, 2025

Market Price Board

Overview: Busy mainly seafood boil sports bar.... food cooked in a plastic bag. Meal/Time: Dinner/Saturday/540PM Party Size: 2 Seated: 541PM Ordered: 552PM (we asked for a few minutes to review the menu) First ordered item arrived: 600PM Check back: 613PM / 625PM Decor/Atmosphere: Seafood sports bar. Wall mounted TVs. Claw Machines. High ceiling over an open bar. There is a board behind the cashier that tells you the market price for the various seafood boil options...really helpful. 1 pound minimum per item. Service/ Front of the House: Greeted. Asked if we were doing seafood or hot pot. Service/Serving Staff: Rodrigo: Friendly. Patient and informative. Food: Korean short ribs $21.00 Cooked and served on a piping hot iron pan so becareful!! Nice char and smokey notes. Sweet and savory marinade. Like all Korean short ribs they can be a bit chewy, but its worth the effort. The ribs sit on top of some sliced white onions. Do not ignore the onions. They get really tender and pickup the sweetness from the ribs. **Pro tip, if you want garlic noodles $10 when you add it to your seafood boil. Just get the udon noodles $6 with the garlic butter sauce. The udon is added into the bag and will pick up the garlic butter flavors and save $4 at the same time. Value: Expensive Restroom: Men's room has 1 urinal and 2 stalls and a single sink. The handicap stall is roomy and should be able to accommodate a wheelchair. The regular stall is bit on the narrow side. However, wherever I stepped, the floors felt a bit tacky. Will I come back?: No thanks... we only went for the experience. Pretty pricey... cost to quality to quanity ratio did not make me want to come back.

That's cool that they have hot pot here! in Rohnert Park! We didn't try it this time since we came for happy hour. We love their clam happy hour and got the seafood boil (medium spicy), but it wasn't quite spicy enough so next time we'll go for spicy-spicy haha. We also tried the coconut shrimp with Cajun fries, and it was delicious. Next time, I want to try their sweet potato fries and definitely check out the hot pot. The service was great! very friendly staff and the food came out quickly. The restaurant is pretty big, with lots of TVs playing sports. We came around 3 PM, so it was pretty quiet, with only a few other tables occupied. I'm sure it gets busier at night.

The clams, corn and garlic noodles were delish!

The food is amazing... I don't think there's a full and I don't care bc I come for the seas food. It's a large restaurant with plenty of seats. I have never had to wait for a seat long if at all. Service is always great and they are patient explaining how it all works. The decor is fun, little posters and nicknacks all around. Plenty of stuff to look at and enjoy.

Lemongrass shrimp

What a deal to visit Simmer Claw Bar during happy hour. We initially planned to get some appetizers but we noticed they they offer the seafood boils during happy hour as well. The lemongrass clam in our opinion is the highlight and the coconut shrimp was a close second. We got the ez peel shrimp boil at medium spice level but honestly we could have gone up a level and still be fine. The sauce was more sweet than spicy. We will get spicy next time. Overall the amount of food we got was a lot and took home about half of it to enjoy later. Definitely a place to go during happy hour!

What is the white wine on the happy hour menu?

My fiance is allergic to sea food but we would live to try the hot pot. Is there any seafood in the hot pot or would we be able to try it without any seafood?

There are plenty of items that are not seafood you can order for hotpot. Have fun!

Dog friendly outdoor area?

Hi Eva! They do not have a patio/outdoor area.

Is everything frozen?

Idk about frozen food- everything was premartinated with monosodium glutamate/MSG, sadly I'm highly allergic.?

So we need reservations for a bigger party?

They'll take reservations for parties of 6 or more

They treated us well - we were immediately seated to a table with roses and Champagne. They even played "Anniversary," by Tony! Toni! Toné! soon after we settled in. So thoughtful! The food hit the spot. We got the dinner for two deal that gives you an appetizer, 4 servings of proteins and 3 sides. We started off with the hot links that were saucy as advertised in the menu. We decided to get all the 4 proteins advertised. The catfish won me over -- the thinnest breading that gave just the right amount of crunch -- and I was also a fan of the chicken. The ribs were good too, though I wish the meat fell off the bone, and the fried chicken was good too, but I would've swapped it out for another serving of the catfish. For sides, we went with the mac and cheese (I believe it had a Cajun seasoning mixed in that was a nice surprise), potato salad and succotash (had to get some vegetables in there!). We were also served cornbread waffles with honey butter, which practically felt like a dessert. We were so stuffed! We had no room for dessert but wished we could've tried the beignets. The menu lists 5 different kinds, including a yuzu that caught my eye. The hospitality made me feel so welcomed - from the hostess to the servers. The cook even came out to greet us happy anniversary! There were two birthdays while we were there, and the staff sing Stevie Wonder's version of the Happy Birthday song. Needless to say, we had a fun time and the funky decorations adds to the environment.

There's so much food we couldn't finish our entrées. We'll have enough leftovers for tomorrow's dinner. To top it off, the restaurant offered me a free birthday dessert. My yummy peach cobbler even came with a birthday candle. My husband's banana pudding was huge! We'll definitely return for another delicious meal.

We ordered the Coastal Tacos (rock cod) and Fried Chicken Sandwich. At first we were concerned that it might not be enough for us, but when the food came, we realized our worries were for naught. Both the tacos and the sandwich were quite large and also quite messy, but if a taco or fried chicken sandwich is not a little messy, it's probably not very good! The decor retains the flavor of the building's roots. I seem to recall reading that it was a stage coach stop (or railroad stop?) during an earlier life, which is completely believable since it was built in 1864. Rustic, but with some modern touches. Somewhere along the line yelp reviews for Rocker Oysterfeller in Valley Ford became yelp reviews for Rocker's Roadhouse prompting this update. Ages ago I happily awarded 5-stars to Rocker Oysterfeller but when I came to Rocker's Roadhouse for lunch on a recent Monday afternoon things were decidedly not 5-star. The bar area that one enters first had no patrons despite a table of dirty dishes remaining. When we announced we'd like to stay for lunch we were asked to wait while a table in the dining room was cleared. That's exactly what was cleared: one table in the dining room. There were two other tables of customers in the dining room and now a single clean table. Every other customer-free table in that room was stacked with dirty dishes left by previous customers. This wasn't just unappetizing. It was disgusting and we opted not to stay for lunch. I'm hoping this was some sort of aberrant situation as opposed to standard operating procedure. C'mon Rocker's Roadhouse, get your act together.
