Jesse and John were very professional, hard-working, and efficient. Our move from Queens to Brooklyn was smooth and couldn't have gone better. We loved the ability to support a small local business. We hope to use them again in the future and highly recommend them! read more

Hands down thee best moving experience I've had! Darryl, Nate & Louis were all very friendly and super calm. They put me at ease and went above & beyond, even taking my personal stuff down & loading up my car! They were on time and got right to it. They fit everything into my storage space and arranged it so I could get to my clothing boxes. Prior to my move, Barry, Chris, Corey & Uzi were in constant communication, explained everything and negotiated pricing with me asking if the pricing seemed fair (I mean who does that?!) No surprise hidden costs. Fantastic reliable company! read more

This is my second time moving with Metropolis and it was another great experience. Both times, all of the movers were kind, communicative and efficient. For this move, Zach, John and Kavan were awesome! My partner and I couldn't believe how fast they could unload our stuff and all of our items arrived unscathed/undamaged. Also, their help disassembling/assembling our bed and couch was huge. Don't plan on moving again for quite some time, but would definitely use Metropolis Moving again and recommend to friends. read more

Corey, Adam, Chris, and Nate were so fantastic, I couldn't even believe it. They had everything handled SO quickly and competently, and were delightful to be around. I almost WISH they'd taken longer, they're such great company. I love that it's a small, family-owned business, and that everyone who works there seems to genuinely enjoy their job and the company. Nothing even a hair out of place at the end of the day, just an altogether flawless move. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!! read more

Punctual, efficient, friendly, and professional - Jacob and Johnation were fantastic! I have 0 complaints. Next time I move, I know who I'm calling to help. read more

My girlfriend and I had a pretty simple move -- just a 1 bedroom going 3 blocks. All the same, Cate and Darryl were both on time, quick, and professional. They were very careful to make sure everything was packaged well and made it in one piece. They were by far the cheapest quote we got and we couldn't have been happier with the experience Also -- they were both very good with our dog. read more

This is my second time moving with (and reviewing) Metropolis. Doing so because they are the absolute best. Had a move with Dorian, Jonathan and Chris - they were fantastic to work with. Thoughtful, efficient and extremely careful with every piece of furniture we had. You can't go wrong with Metropolis! read more

A friend of mine recommended these movers because she had worked with them a couple of years ago and found them to be friendly and high-value. That's the understatement of the century. We were blown away by Metropolis' kindness, professionalism, and speed (before the move and day of!). Despite an insane amount of stairs, they handled all of our items with care. They truly treated our home like their own -- taking care not to ding walls or damage a single box. On top of that, they were the highest value quote we received by a long shot. Jake, John, and Claude were amazing to work with and made what normally would be a stressful day an absolute breeze. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THESE MOVERS ENOUGH!! read more

All the 5 Star Reviews are real! I highly recommend Metropolis Moving! I recently moved back to NYC, I moved across the country twice and moved several times in both LA and NYC -- I have experience moving. I started my search with my previous moving companies but for the local moves, they were too pricey. So, this time around for my local nyc move, I blindly researched a moving company. So, I researched over 15 companies -- reading reviews and policies as well as cost was important for my move. I am a very detailed oriented person and believe in good customer service. The communication was very on point with Olivia in the office, she was very busy but very responsive every time. The actual move -- Fred and Misha were my movers, they were on time, very friendly and a great duo. The had their system down to a science. This company was the best price, but more importantly my move was effortless, they handled my stuff with care and very friendly. If I move again, I will be using Metropolis Moving -- good energy. read more

George & Nelson helped my partner and I move today from Brooklyn, NY to Philadelphia, PA and it was hands down one of the best moving experiences I've ever had. They arrived early within the arrival time window and made sure to ask questions about specific items; their attention to detail was incredible. They moved things quickly and carefully down three flights of stairs and we were all moved out within 2 hours. After the drive, they had us all moved into our new place within 1 hour. They were professional, speedy, and careful which is a very rare mix. Do yourself a favor and hire these guys, you will not be disappointed! read more

We had used a POD to get our stuff cross country, but couldn't have it delivered directly to our apartment so we hired Metropolis to finish the move from Queens to Brooklyn. They were on time, friendly, and professional. Our move involved three different apartments, and when they brought one box to the wrong location, they immediately turned around and got it to the right location. The cost of the job was exactly as quoted. Highly recommended. Jerry 8/4/22 read more

Metropolis Moving is a 5 star company here in NYC! They did my move swiftly and smooth! Zero issues! Shout out to BRYAN, DARRYL, CHRIS, and COREY! I definitely recommend them and will use them again! read more

Meant to write this review months ago but we were beyond happy with our experience with Metropolis! The process was super easy and the quote very fair. Alan, George, and Dorian treated our items with care and steadfastly moved a 2-bedroom from a fourth floor walk-up to another fourth floor walk-up with kindness and speed. There were a couple insert shelves left in the truck that no one noticed, and they went out of their way to drop them off to me the next day. Have recommended them multiple times to other friends, wouldn't have a reason to use another company! read more

Metropolis Moving really lives up to the 5 Star rating. I had an easy multi-state move with their team. They were fast, efficient and very communicative. Beyond that, they were just lovely to interact with. Thank you! read more

Codte and RJ were amazing! Very professional and such hard workers. We moved from Hoboken to UWS, and they were able to move everything within about three hours (which was very impressive). All of our items were transported safely and handled with care. 100% would recommend Metropolis moving. read more

I used Metropolis to move from Manhattan to Brooklyn and the process could not have gone smoother. From the first point of contact to moving day they were responsive, professional, and easy to work with. When the movers showed up they worked quickly but carefully and everything arrived at the new place in great condition. The cost that we were quoted in advance was the exact cost that we paid. This was my first move in the NY area and I feel thankful that it went off without a hitch thanks to Metropolis. Highly recommend! read more

Brian and Joseph were very communicative and efficient throughout my move. All items were appropriately protected and they were willing to help arrange things as desired in my new space. This company is very accessible and responsive, not to mention the most affordable I could find. Would highly recommend! read more

These guys are the best. I am VERY stressed about my ongoing move, and Metropolis arrived extremely prompt this morning, loaded everything up and out in a well choreographed manner between the 3 great movers, and were done in maybe an hour. On it's way it goes to storage. I was so impressed and de-stressed watching them, that I just booked them again for 2 weeks from now to take care of the 2nd half of the move I was originally planning on suffering through myself. They're worth it. Every cent. And those cents are extremely well-priced cents. They were the best quote I received, and the best moving experience I've used, hands down. Will be recommending them to every single person I hear is moving. read more

Terrific experience with Metropolis Moving. They were professional, personable, quick to respond, and very helpful on the day of the move. We actually had to put all of our items in storage for two weeks, so we technically had two moves. This was not an issue with the Metropolis team and they executed both moves without any issue. Of note, their quote was ~40% cheaper than their competitors, so it was a fantastic value for the money. Big thanks to the teams! I highly recommend these guys for your move, and I know that I'll be using them when we inevitably move again in the future. read more

Wonderful movers! We had a complex move with 3 states and a smaller move the following day within NYC. The company is exceptionally well run by people who understand how to communicate, from the person who took my call to the wonderful guys who moved us. I'll use them again from now on. read more

We had the most efficient, professional and affordable move with Metropolis. From the estimate through to booking and the move itself, the company communicated well and was transparent. The day of the move, Jesse, John and Jeff were timely and fast. They texted to let us know arrival time and once they arrived they moved our entire apartment out in just a couple hours. At the new home they moved everything in and were done before 4pm. They asked all the right questions and were kind and easy to work with. We would highly recommend and will use again! read more

THE BEST! I endured a very stressful move from west to east coast and Metropolis made the final stage not only possible but smooth and easy. Throughout the process they were professional, friendly and reassuring. I had no problems communicating last minute details with them and when they arrived they were efficient and very careful with my things. If you're looking for movers for a large or small job, close or distant hire Metropolis right away and relax, your move will go well. read more

Metropolis helped me move from NJ to NYC and the experience could not have been easier. Incredibly hardworking and polite throughout the whole process and attended to my unique needs with my move. Would absolutely recommend this team to anyone moving in or around the NYC area. read more

Our movers, Jonah, Cathal, and Bryan, were friendly, professional, and speedy while also being careful. I highly recommend Metropolis, they were cooperative and good humored from the time I called to get a quote to the point they set down our last piece of furniture. Thanks! read more

I've moved a lot and I've never encountered a moving company like Metropolis. The quote Uziel gave me was fantastic and there were absolutely no hidden charges. In fact, I ended up having less than I originally reported so he actually lowered my price. He was extremely professional and helpful through the entire process. Darryl, AJ and Jimmy worked their asses off and they were also really nice guys! I was moving from a 4-story walk-up and they were on time, efficient and quick. I'm not planning on moving for awhile, but when I do I won't consider using anyone else. They set the bar really high and I couldn't be happier. read more

I honestly don't even know how to begin with my praise for Metropolis; they were so fantastic every step of the way. First, we had a ever-changing move-in date thanks to complications with the apartment, and Zach was SO accommodating and patient with working with me on that. I felt terrible having to keep coming back and adjust, but he made it work. On the day of the move, we had Chris, Darryl, and Nate come and they were TOP NOTCH movers. They were speedy, efficient, and really nice people. Our original time-slot was between 8-9am, and they were there right when they said they would be. They immediately came in and just cleared out the apartment. I thought it would take forever with all of the stuff that we had, but it was just so quick, even with a giant and heavy couch that had to be taken apart to fit through our narrow door. Once we got to the new apartment, once again they made getting everything into the space seem super easy. The whole process was done in about 3/3:30 hours including travel time (we moved from Greenpoint to Astoria and it took about 15-20 minutes to get between locations). If you are looking for a moving company who is fairly priced, skilled, and unbelievably friendly, LOOK NO FURTHER. Seriously, I wish all of my friends were moving so I could recommend Metropolis. P.S. @Darryl, would love to get a copy of your playlist because it was banging. read more

Hands down the best moving experience I've ever had! They are very responsive (by email and phone), very well organized, and incredibly courteous. The quotes are accurate and the price is very reasonable. Their system for updating your inventory the day before the move works perfectly to adjust your price once you see how your stuff all gets packed. The move itself was smooth, everyone did what was needed in a timely and safe manner. I hope not to have to move again for sometime, but if I do, I'll only ever use Metropolis Moving. Thank you guys again for making this move so easy!!! read more

I used Metropolis to move a 1.5 BR apartment from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Everything about the experience from beginning to end was the best I've had in the city. The coordination was easy, with the staff responding quickly to emails and working with me to get every detail nailed down. The pricing was low compared to other movers' quotes for the same day. On the day of the move, the movers showed up on-time at the source and the destination and worked very quickly and professionally, with smiles on their faces and all of our things moved with no damage. In the loft part of my new apartment, they even found creative solutions to get bulky furniture up there with ease. Metropolis was by far the smoothest part of our move and I would definitely use them again. read more

Really amazing help from the admin to the actual moving day despite an intensely stressful cross country move. They packed my u-haul with care and skill...talk about peace of mind!!!! read more

I've used Metropolis for my moving needs twice in the last six months. The first time was a bigger, longer move, where I moved a whole house (NY) to an apartment (CT). Then, I needed them to move me to another apartment - just one floor above - in the same building. I called Metropolis, again, even though this was a smaller move because they were the only ones I trusted after the big move. And, my son will be calling them soon, as well, when he moves in NYC. read more

I had such a great experience the first time I used Metropolis to move from NYC to CT that I hired them again to move me locally within CT. Another super smooth experience! Communication is great from start to finish, back office & movers are all very organized, and everyone is friendly. Still highly recommend! read more

This time in the past five years I've used Metropolis and they deliver every time. They're affordable, efficient, mindful, and communicate effectively. My things have always been taken care of. George and Steve helped us out. George is very easy on the eyes, too. :) read more

Highly recommend using Metropolis Moving! On the day I was supposed to move, the elevators in my building were broken. Olivia and her team were so gracious and patient with helping me reschedule and bearing with me through the uncertainty of when the elevators would be repaired. The team is very responsive and easy to get in touch with. They sent a confirmation and contact information for the movers the night before the move. Then, on the day of the move - they arrived right on time and were so kind, helpful and efficient with getting everything out of my apartment and into my new one in just about 2 hours. The quote was 100% accurate and incredibly reasonable compared to others I had seen. Thank you again to Olivia, Chris and Cathal for a fantastic moving experience! They turned what was a very stressful and uncertain situation into a pleasant and easy one - I will definitely be a return customer. read more

I had an excellent experience using Metropolis for my recent move. Their quoted rate was right around what I received from other companies but their communication and willingness to work with my needs set them apart. Their crew arrived in the specified window and worked extremely quickly at the old apartment and again at the new apartment. Unfortunately, our TV was broken during the move. However, after letting Metropolis know about the issue, they immediately offered to order me a replacement or cash. Awesome customer service. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

This is a follow-up to my September review. Metropolis Moving head office reached out to me shortly after the review, went back verified the chain of events, and apologized and gave me a full refund without requesting me to remove the negative review. I appreciate the way the company dealt with the issue, and sincerely hope my past experience was only an isolated incident. read more

We'd give them 50 stars if we could. Matt and his crew moved us yesterday from a 5th floor walkup apartment in Manhattan to a house 100 miles away. They made what could have been a difficult day for us into a total pleasure. Extremely professional, careful, competent, beyond the call of duty -- in a word, perfect. And at a great rate. Pre-move communication was also prompt, friendly and accurate. Thanks, you guys. Will highly recommend to all our friends. read more

Best movers, period. We moved from East Harlem to the Hudson Valley. Quick and timely communication from the day we booked to our moving day. Great initial quote, based on our initial inventory list (which changed up to move day). On moving day, Matt & Chris made it seem easy. They arrived early, and packed the truck carefully and meticulously--like playing real-life tetris (it was mind-boggling how much they can fit!). At our final destination, they quickly placed things in their right places. All in all, amazing job, speedy, super friendly and all-around nice guys. Our dog even loved them! Simply the best!
