Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

I'll tell you that this company exceeded my expectations in many ways! As you can see they took extra precautions when preparing my antique wooden headboard for delivery, which was of the utmost importance to me as it was built by my grandfather. Not only that, but they wrapped multiple items that probably would've been ok without, that spoke volumes to their care towards the items of my house. If it were possible for your houses items to look better than they did before the move, it would be these guys. Would/will be recommending to my friends and family.

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. This was hands down the easiest move I've ever had. If you are debating which moving company to use, this is your sign. Go with them.

Last minute we decided the almost three hour drive each way combined with how much stuff we actually had vs what we thought we had wasn't worth it doing it ourselves. We checked around a few places Sunday night asking for a Tuesday move and Braha was very prompt in replying and had the lowest quote so we went with them. So glad we did! Russ was extremely communicative over text, email and phone and transparent with pricing. We ended up the night before adding a few more items and thirty boxes and the price only went up a bit. The day of the move Klim and Alfonso called me they were stuck in some traffic and would be an hour late which was nice they called. My mom kept texting me while they were packing her garage that these guys were the best and so nice and quick. I felt the same when they arrived for the unpacking. Very professional and delicate with all our stuff. We helped them unload and it got done super fast. The whole team truly made this process so easy that I don't think I can ever move again myself! To that he answered "we don't take, we always ask" - completely unprofessional Delivery - so no one keeps us updated of the move, we have to keep calling "dispatch" - Alex, a young gentleman, gives us a delivery window of 8 am to 10am and shows up at 11:30 with other notifying us. Here's where it goes sideways. They do an excellent job putting together the bed and couch. However, they did it hastily & we have damage to out brand new home walls and corners in multiple places. Alex has an attitude, a bad one. They cracked my garbage can and I asked him how we can rectify it and he goes with a look "you're going to claim that?" Mind you this is a $75 stainless steel garbage can with an infrared sensor. Now here comes the TIP. After him denying the damage to the walls, being 1.5 hours late and making me feel foolish for asking about a broken garbage can, he then asks for a tip. I say "I am sorry, I cannot tip you" To that he states "I got into moving because it's hard work with big tips and that we drove all night". Keep in mind I paid a pretty penny for professional packing and unpacking. Tips are OPTIONAL, I shouldn't have to pay nearly 4 grand for an attitude, damaged walls and (over an hour late) on both pickup AND arrival and then being shamed into tipping.

I'll admit the reviews here gave me pause, but if you go through the filtered posts, you'll find a lot more 4-5 star reviews. Algorithms, am I right? Anyways. Let me break down the process so I can help explain the long process. The biggest tip I can give you is that you need to be realistic with how much stuff you own and want to move. The move is by the cubic foot, so your IKEA shelves might cost more to move than they would be to replace. The planning stage: I received a quote from Fred at Xpress back during the planning phase. I didn't find them, they kind of found me as I entered my info into a "moving quote" database which prompted 5-7 companies to contact me with a quote. Fred not only gave me the most competitive price, but he is the only person who followed up with me and actually took the time to call and ask for a description of the items. After discussing with my fiancé, we decided to take the plunge and give a deposit ($50, credited towards your final total). Scheduling: This was the most hassle free part of the process. I even had to move my date back a month and Fred had no issues rescheduling me for the day needed. Insurance: I always over plan, so I did buy extra moving insurance (around $115), but just to ease my mind. However, Xpress actually insures your stuff by the pound, and that is included in your total. I packed my own stuff into boxes, so I can't comment on that service they offer, however I do want to note that they can't insure the items in the box as they don't know how well you personally pack them. Pick up: The Forman, Steven, and his crew showed up on time. Steven was very friendly from the start and helped explain the entire process from start to finish. Of course, I under estimated my belongings, so to stay around my budget, I did have to triage some items (example: my two IKEA shelves and my very old dresser did not make the move as they didn't seem worth it). He explained each piece of paperwork I needed to sign and answered all of my questions. Arrival: My stuff arrived 6 days after pick up (they picked up my stuff on March 27th and it arrived in Texas on April 2! I was so happy.) They technically/legally have 21 days (as they explained during the process), but of course I loved how quick my stuff came. The delivery team kept me informed of their approx arrival the day before and a team of 2 showed up in an 18 wheeler (expertly maneuvered, too!) and unpacked all my stuff. You'll want to make sure you have room for an 18 wheeler to deliver your stuff (this isn't the truck that picked our stuff up). This will save you some extra money. They can always put it in a smaller van for a little more, though. All my stuff looks to be in great condition! They wrapped all my stuff in moving blankets and just really did an all around great job. Pro tip: Tip in cash. I would highly recommend them to anyone moving interstate.
