Just used them for another move, and they were amazing as usual. I hate moving so much, but knowing I have reliable go-to movers takes so much of the stress away. Pricing really is a value. I did get two other quotes as I was afraid they wouldn't be able to accommodate a rather last minute move, and they were over $200 less than the rest. These are smart teams who work efficiently and fast. They are so organized - not one shelf bracket was lost in the process. And, of course, everything was well cared for and nothing damaged. They truly care about their performance. This team was friendly and professional as usual. Love how positive they are! The worst thing is having movers bring bad attitudes to an already stressful situation. You shouldn't hesitate to book them! read more

We had a great experience with Metropolis. They were very easy to use, having us send a list of our inventory and then giving a set price based on that. We were able to change the list up until the day before and the price was changed accordingly. No deposit was requested. The day of the move also went very smoothly, the team of Steve, Cathal and Chris worked quickly and efficiently. Might not be the cheapest movers you can find, but definitely not the most expensive and worth the price. read more

We used Metropolis for an early morning Sunday move from Harlem to Bushwick. They showed up on time and the move went very smoothly! It was raining and cold AND there was a street fair going on right on the street we moved to. You can imagine that I was freaking out a little bit. They parked half a block away and carried all of our stuff into our new place, no drama. They were friendly and the whole experience, although could have been very hectic and dramatic given the circumstances, was easy and smooth. I will absolutely use them again! I would recommend them to anyone. The price is great, as well. Flat rate moving is definitely the way to go to alleviate any additional anxiety moving can induce. Thanks guys!! read more

My Wife and I used Metropolis Movers because they gave us the best rate. Max and Chris showed up at our old home in Bedstuy and we went over everything that was in the inventory. They moved everything flawlesly and very efficiently, we were done moving before noon which was amazing. I am the worst at packing... I did not cover any of our plates or glassware with paper because I was lazy. But I didn't have to tell them all our boxes were fragile, they treated everything with care and nothing got broken or chipped which was a miracle. Highly recommended!!!! Thank you again, for making our moving day so perfect. Also, Max and Chris if you're reading this remember to check out SPA CASTLE, Peace! read more

My husband and I recently used METROPOLIS MOVING for our move from NYC to CT. I would recommend this moving company to anyone! The pricing was fair and affordable, the communication was easy and quick, and the movers were fast and nice. This was the least stressful part of our move as everything went smoothly and to plan. Thank you to Metropolis for a great and most importantly affordable moving experience! read more

From estimating and support through the move itself Metropolis were absolute professionals. The movers were fast, efficient, conscientious and extremely friendly. When a minor incident arose the owner reached out to me directly and offered a most fair resolution. Highly recommend! read more

I knew from my first call with Corey that I made the right choice going with Metropolis for my first-ever move from NJ to Queens - he was so easy and fun to talk to!! Metropolis was very communicative throughout the process, and my movers Dorian and George were extremely kind and efficient! My quote was incredibly fair, and hundreds less than a local NJ moving company had quoted me. Thank you everyone at Metropolis - I'll be coming back to you next time I move! read more

*HIRE THESE MOVERS!!!* ***PERFECT SERVICE*** I have lived in new York for 10 years, and have used at least 3 different movers... I struggled with past movers and their attitudes, and felt like they didn't really care. I went with these past movers because of the price... That was until someone recommended Metropolis, and I am SO GLAD I toon a chance in trying another mover. Everything from the first point of contact was nothing but friendly and customized. I felt like they really cared. I have then my initial thought of what our inventory would be, and they gave me a quote which was very reasonable!!! Definitely in the same ballpark as past movers I had used. I even asked if they could provide a wardrobe box, and they did so free of charge which was amazing! As it got closer to the moving day, we found we had a couple extra boxes and pieces, and I expected it to be another maybe hundred dollars, but to my surprise, the price remained the same. I was estatic. NOW FOR THE MOVERS - Pauli's & Darryl.... If you can request these guys, do it. They were so kind and funny and really cared about our boxes. We had extra large boxes (which I will never do again because they are so heavy) but these guys took extra time to take them up really well, and were very gentle and it's almost as if they took care of each package as if it contained the most valuable items. They were singing and chatting with us, complimenting us on our new space, and although they were sweating like crazy, they had a constant smile on their faces. They worked their asses off but just smiled and laughed and were just incredible. I will ALWAYS recommend these guys and ALWAYS use them. The future. As far as I'm concerned they are the only movers in NYC. Perfect perfect service. Tip them well!!!!!! read more

Highly recommend Metropolis Moving! My husband and I moved from Astoria to Connecticut during the pandemic and Will & Dan made the process so seamless and stress-free for us. They were incredibly professional, punctual and efficient. Would 100% use them again --and if you're reading this review, you should too : ) read more

Great service! Uziel clearly explained the whole process and price. No surprises. He confirmed the move the night before as well. Vance and Jason handled the actual move. The did an awesome job. They texted me to let me know the exact time that they would show up. The move was simple and fast because of them. I highly recommend Metropolis Moving. read more

So glad we chose metropolis moving for our move! First of all they were so easy to work with in terms of setting the move date, and getting a quote. They gave a really good rate too (the lowest we got!) Vince and Jason arrived on an early Saturday morning and were so delightful! They did everything with such a good attitude, and were completely done in 3 hours (including disassembling & assembling our couch & bed) We were so happy with them, enjoyed their company and good spirits! read more

I had an incredible experience with Metropolis Moving and would HIGHLY recommend using them for your next move. I appreciated the back and forth email communication prior to the move and it gave me confidence that the team cared about me as a client and my move. Jake, Darryl and Klaude were the three guys on site for the move and they were on time, friendly, professional, and very efficient. They helped me move my studio apartment in Soho into a U-Haul truck for me to then drive it across the country to Texas. They took great care to wrap up all my furniture and then helped pack the truck in the best way possible to ensure everything was safe and secure. HIGHLY recommend! read more

I used this company for moving furniture from long island to staten island. They were in constant communication to make sure everything was set and ready and notified me when they were on their way. They were extremely sweet and helpful. No issues or surprises. Would use them again. read more

My boyfriend and I had a great experience with Metropolis Moving. We called a week before our move-in date and they were able to accommodate us at a very affordable very. Communicating with their office about inventory (which changed a few times), pricing, timing, etc. was super easy. Move-in day went seamlessly - our movers were on time, careful with our belongings, efficient, and friendly. Highly recommend their service - and will definitely use Metropolis Moving again in the future. read more

Amazing movers! Very professional! My roommate and I used them to move from a 2 BR apartment in Queens to a 2BR apartment in Manhattan. They took good care of everything we needed to move and wrapped it very well in moving blankets. They were early which was fine with us. They were quick once they arrived and everything was finished much quicker than if we had done it ourselves. The movers themselves gave off a relaxed yet professional vibe which made us feel quite at ease. At the end, we accidentally tipped more than intended and they were professional enough to point that out. The price they quoted us online was exactly what we were charged! There were no surprises! read more

My review is a little belated but I just wanted to give credit to some amazing movers! From beginning to end, correspondence with the company was clear, professional, and thorough. Nick and Jerome moved my stuff from my apartment in Bushwick to my new one in UES with ease and care. They were quick, efficient, and super helpful. Totally reasonable price for the work they did & the distance. (Don't forget to tip them!) Hoping I won't have to move for a while, but if I do, I will definitely use Metropolis again. Highly recommend! read more

Holy smokes these guys are great! They showed up on time, moved everything very efficiently and were very polite. So far I haven't unpacked anything that's broken, and I trust I won't. Zach and his partner were very careful. This was my first time hiring a moving company and I was really skeptical about it since I've heard about so many scams. I spent three hours reading reviews and verifying insurances, state and federal licenses. They passed everything with flying colors. If you want honest, polite, efficient and a stress free moving experience hire Metropolis Moving. Trust me, you won't regret it! read more

The team Paulie, Darryl, and AJ were friendly, organized, and efficient! My move started at 8:30 and finished by 11 (most movers had quoted me at least 5 hrs for the move so they were very fast) I would 100% book them again for a move, they saved me so much stress! Also nothing was damaged or even scratched (the sign of true professionals) read more

I used Metropolis Moving to move from Brooklyn to New Jersey this week, and I couldn't have asked for better movers! From the free quote through to the actual move, everyone I communicated with was extremely professional and responded promptly. The quote I received was great and they were transparent about pricing (fixed rate + cost for gas/tolls + COI). No hidden fees whatsoever. They confirm your final moving list multiple times (I found this to be extremely helpful!) and I even had some additions to my list and they kept my price flat which was very much appreciated. Paulie, Nate, and Mikko were the ones to do the move for me and they were very communicative and prompt. They are super chill and efficient! Moving out of my old apartment and moving into my new one was seamless thanks to these guys. If you're looking for movers, I highly recommend Metropolis Moving and also recommend requesting Paulie, Nate, and Mikko! read more

These guys are great and super professional. Olivia (who I corresponded with via email) was very patient despite me asking a million questions. She helped me get the COI that my building required for delivery My movers Fred and Cate were awesome! They took a quick look at my inventory, and rolled it all away safely and packed within minutes. I had a couple extra (small) boxes but they said it wasn't going to be an issue which helped me greatly since I was going to make multiple trips after myself. They helped move my furniture where I was planning on putting them, and were in and out so quickly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone moving. read more

This was the most painless moving experience we've ever had and we are so glad we went with Metropolis! We ended up adjusting our inventory so many times and they were very accommodating and any increase in pricing was small and they made sure we felt it was fair. They even helped us move a couple of extra miscellaneous items and packages at our new apartment! Matt and Jakob were so efficient, professional, and friendly. The entire process took a lot less time than we anticipated. 10/10 would recommend. :) read more

The most incredible moving company EVER! Chris and Mischa were amazing. They both handled my life in boxes with genuine care and were very helpful. Olivia and Uziel who work in the office were also wonderful as well. Metropolis really helped to eliminate the stress of moving and I HIGHLY recommend this company. read more

Metropolis moving was great from start to finish. Corey and his team were quick and efficient. Communication during the booking and moving process went smoothly. On moving day, they let us know that they got done with their first move early, which was great for us since it meant they started our move 90 min earlier than anticipated. No surprise fees, and they had the best rates out of several moving companies that I contacted. read more

I could not recommend Metropolis Moving enough. I had a small move from NJ to NYC that I had to reschedule 3 times. The office team could not have been more helpful with rescheduling and managing changes in my inventory. The day of the move, everything went according to plan and by 10am all of my belongings had been moved from NJ to NYC and were exactly where I needed them in my new apartment. They made something that is normally really stressful happen efficiently and in a timely manner. Everyone I interacted with was always professional and helpful. They were transparent with their pricing and there were no surprises the day of the move. Overall a great experience working with them. read more

Highly recommended! Kind, Professional & quick response with estimate and scheduling. The day of the move was smooth, unproblematic and completed under an hour. I will definitely recommend to family and friends. read more

Wow. A new bar was set about what a moving experience can be like in NYC. I had an emergency move requested only 2 days prior and to a very strict co-op building that had so many restricted insurance carriers for moving companies but that didn't stop Zack or Matt from jumping hurdles and navigating the strictest apartment building they've ever had to work with. They were so swift with the paperwork, their website is so user-friendly, and with the urgent deadlines for my apartment building to submit thorough a valid Certificates of Insurance, they did this all compassionately. Then, they sent the most efficient and kind team of 2 movers to the apartment the following morning. Even my super was so impressed with how fast they did everything! Their professionalism, productivity, cautious methods of transporting everything were phenomenal. Plus, one of the movers shared with me how much they enjoy working for Zack and Matt because they treat their employees so well. I will work with Metropolis Moving company EVERY time I need to move (hopefully not too many more times though) and will always recommend them to friends who are looking for movers. read more

I recently hired Metropolis Moving for a local 1 BR move from a PODS warehouse to an apartment in Brooklyn. I had a great experience! They were prompt, quick, took care of my things, and the quote I was provided ahead of time was accurate/consistent with the charges day-of. I would highly recommend them! They kept everything as stress free and easy as possible. read more

These guys are crooks plain and simple. I have moved seven times in Manhattan and never experienced anything like this. Where to begin? After they show, when they really have you, they charge $5 extra for every item. Extra piece of paper $5. Every pillow on your couch... $5 (I wish I was joking). When the boxes got to the other apartment they were all crushed and contents were broken. The bed that they charged me $40 to take apart (which I ended up doing myself since they were so slow) they managed to lose some pieces to. So now I'm sleeping on the floor $40 poorer. And it goes on. For all these privileges (and more!) I ended up paying ONE THOUSAND on a 700 dollar quote. Never ever again. read more

We moved from a brownstone with some tight cornered stairs, with large furniture and the moving team did wonders! Jake, Ricky, and Darrell were friendly, fast, and insanely strong. They had no issue with our large, delicate furniture and boxes. We're very particular with moving and highly recommend. read more

I would highly recommend Metropolis Moving. Uziel was very responsive and helped work with me on my small move. I added and removed the items I was planning on moving with no issues. When I decided I didn't want to move my large storage bed, my quote went down which was nice of them. Uziel answered all my questions and I felt confident the move was going to go well. Jakob and Cliff were really great the day of the move. They were quick and careful with my items. They were also just nice guys in general. I felt comfortable with them coming in and out of my apartment. The quoted price was what I paid and I was very happy with the move. This is my first time using a moving service and I will never guilt my friends into helping me with crappy pizza and beer promises every again. read more

Communication was thorough. Move was efficient and fast. Best move I have ever experienced. George, Jake, and Jonah were awesome. Highly recommend! read more

Zach and Jerome were extremely professional and courteous. They went above and beyond to get a sofa into a small entryway. I will definitely hire them again and highly recommend Metropolis. read more

Would definitely recommend! Communication with Olivia was prompt, professional and the pricing was fair. Our two movers Nick and Misha arrived to our site early. They were courteous, and moved our items quickly and with care. Moves are very stressful, but Metropolis Moving made this process seamless! Would absolutely repeat business! Thank you! read more

They came unprepared in a small truck. Too small for furniture. 3 guys took about 8 hours. Ruined my couch, didn't put it together correctly, didn't put the legs on it, ripped the backs, destroyed a vanity, broke a desk drawer, all after being tipped $150 each. Utterly disgusted. Would never recommend, would never use again. It has taken me close to a year to get this review up but I had to do it as I am just now purchasing a new couch from their damage. They also put the legs on my dining room table on backwards. I tipped 50% of the job, and this was the service I received. read more

The guys at Metropolis are absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and incredibly fast. They braved the BQE during rush hour and picked up/delivered all of my items perfectly. The move started a little bit after the time window I initially was promised, but they communicated with me every step of the way with updates. I'll definitely use them again!! read more

From the great rates to their professionalism and punctuality, Metropolitan movers should be your only choice. They are great!

Great experience from beginning to end. My previous building management was a bit difficult to work with, but Olivia from Metropolis was super responsive/communicative and kept the process moving. On moving day, the movers were scheduled to arrive between 9-10am and literally rang my doorbell at 9am sharp (after texting around 8:30 or 8:45 to let me know they were on the way). The move was efficient and flawless! These guys are definitely professionals. I'll be a repeat customer for sure and highly suggest them to everyone. read more

Would highly recommend Metropolis Moving. Recently moved out of a 3 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NY and relocated in Ulster County. From the minute we spoke with Corey, we knew that we were in such good hands, which was a huge relief, and that held up through the entire process. After we listed our inventory and received an estimate, Metropolitan confirmed with us a date and time for the move. Three strong men arrived right on time to quickly and efficiently load our belongings in their truck and just as quickly and efficiently unload them at our new home. We appreciated how super careful they were with our possessions (nothing was damaged) and attended to such detail as taking care of the removable shelving pegs in our bookcase. Once again, we'd highly recommend them. read more

If you need a moving company on the East Coast, stop looking. You've found them. My experience was great. We had a last minute need for a labor only job. The job... three pods shipped here from California, we needed an unload only. These guys were super responsive with scheduling, pricing and making sure we were covered. It was over 90 degrees on move day, our pod delivery was late (like really late). Matt and Myles were our (awesome) movers and were super patient and nice. The minute the pods landed they worked efficiently and fast. Customer service and professionalism was on point. They helped turn a stressful situation into a good day. I will recommend them to all of my friends and family. Thank you Metropolis! read more

Seriously impressed. Communication was fantastic from when I first contacted them 2 weeks before our move to when all our stuff was safely in our new apartment. Their office manager Olivia is awesome -- she promptly replied to every message I sent, proactively provided all the information I could ever want, and answered all my questions. Their flat rate quote was very reasonable, their website fantastic, and they were available when other movers weren't (they were even able to accommodate a last minute schedule change). On moving day, Zach and Cate arrived within the 1 hour window I was given, and completed the whole move in 2.5 hours. I honestly couldn't believe how fast and efficient they were -- total pros. They were also very friendly and careful when packing / moving our things. I'd absolutely use them again, and would highly recommend anyone moving check then out. read more
