One of several Metro Diners in the Tampa Bay Area that seem to pack the restaurant with an unassuming restaurant name, serve good food and, most importantly, at good prices! Very busy here even on weekdays, but management prioritizes moving busy people quickly for meals. We chose Eggs Benedict for a late breakfast and we were pleased with the presentation, service and a meal somewhat challenging to offer at this price and quality. Service was excellent! I asked a diner seated near us how was the fried chicken dish they were served. They enthusiastically raved about it. Customers who leave happy come back! And, I can't wait to try the fried chicken. read more

First time with this location, but not with the brand. We were invited to a sneak preview before the grand opening. With new staff, cooks in training and expected there to be hiccups. There were none. Everything we ordered was flavorful, prepared as ordered and delivered in a timely manner. We were in and out in about an hour. The venue was full, but not loud. Even with music playing I was able to have table talk with no issue. Kiara was our server. She was delightful! Friendly demeanor and attentive. We look forward to returning in the near future! read more

Service is fast and friendly. Chicken and waffles are the best ever. Everything I've tried makes it harder to decide what to order on my next visit. It's all delicious! read more

Trash. The food was nasty. Tasted old. The st Pete location is far better. Just don't go to this place when they're too busy you're not gonna get the best service. This was delivery as well. Five minutes from the place so I can't blame it on it taking long . You guys need to step your game up literally pay you guys $65 for trash. Thanks a lot ! read more

Metro Diner - Disgusting - Diners Near Me - Brandon, Florida

I was in the metro diner this morning, as I am several times but today I have to say I will not be returning. They sat a couple down next to us with 2 dogs in a carriage. Next thing I know the man picked one of the dogs up out the carriage and placed it on the table. I don't believe a restaurant is a place for dogs. Let alone a dog on a table where people are eating. Not knowing whether the dog has fleas, hair flying around et. Cetera, so if they are allowing dogs in there, I will not be attending any longer. read more

I don't have photos but the food is always so good! Honestly, one of the best around here! I'll be sure add photos later. Good service! Good food! read more

Love this place for good comfort food. I had the fried chicken and the breast was amazing one of the best I ever had. Very meaty chicken breast and tasty coating. My wife enjoyed the chicken pot pie and I also enjoyed the homemade chicken noodle soup. Will definitely be back! read more

Meat loaf is the Best ive ever had !! The Green beans are terrible, no taste need to serve country style Green Beans. Or small salad, no broccoli doesn't go with meat loaf. read more

I called the restaurant to see if I could switch to delivery and Shelby said no but I could reorder for delivery and they would cancel out the pick up I said no thank you I just want a refund she said that I would need to call the number from the website that I ordered from I said it was your website and I just want to cancel. it's been 3 days and I still haven't received my refund. I never went to pick up the order because I can't drive so I hope whomever they gave it to I hope they enjoyed it because I did not. read more

Brand-new location. They are not yet serving dinner, hours are temporarily 7am-3pm and they don't yet have a liquor license but the food and service were great! Coffee is ground fresh every day - perfect. We all ordered breakfast. Eggs and grits, sausage, - and the biscuits are standing out. Definitely recommend. read more

My wife had the roast turkey with gravy. She had to scrape all the gravy off, as it tasted like someone spilled a salt shaker in it. I had the Shepherd's pie. It was prepared in a way I've never seen before. It was basically a ground beef stew, with a very thin layer of mashed potatoes and cheese on top. It was served so hot that it was obviously microwaved for too long. Service was adequate. No personality at all for the server, like he didn't want to be there. Ambieance was okay. Summary, we had plenty of food to sustain us, but that's the best I can say about our visit. read more

I can't express how pleased I am to see a Metro Diner pop up minutes from my house. It is conveniently located off Lumsden and Providence Rd. It wasn't busy at 8A on a Thursday so we snagged a booth. Lily was our server and she checked in often. I appreciated her humor and down to earth personality. I tried the Bacon Avocado Scramble Bowl and wasn't disappointed. Definitely will be visiting this location any time I can. read more

Amazing discovery, good service great food. We'll be back for sure. Called in by chance and were very happy we did.

We had the Chicken and Waffle. Lovers of great fried chicken look no further, this is the place!! Very fresh, tender, flavorful, I'm not going to any other place when the craving strikes! Service is prompt and friendly. Ambiance is a perfect diner, white and black tiles, lots of happy diners talking and eating! The waffle was very good, served with a very tasty strawberry butter, yum! read more

This location's food quality has declined majorly over the past few months they've changed all their cooks the food is horrible now !

Expect very loud music. The food and wait staff are great. You just have to yell to put in an order cause the waitress couldn't hear over the music. read more

Came to Metro with my husband for breakfast ,as always the food was fresh and tasty. we also had such a delightful experience with our server. Shelbie was amazing! We'll be back! read more

Very cute and cozy diner that is fairly new to the Brandon area. Originally I thought this was a local business, but my friend from Virgina told me they have them in his city as well. I didn't take any pictures unfortunately but I had got an omelet. My friend had got pancakes (which he shared lol) and I remember them being super fluffy and delicious!! They had a lot of good menu options for the fall, like pumpkin spiced options. Will be returning :) read more

Every time I go to a metro diner it's tasty, fresh and I feel so taken care of. Wow!!! Today they were fast, food was so perfect and I left feeling so happy! Would highly recommend! Their chicken and waffles are to die for! read more

My husband and I were very happy when a new place to eat opened. We have been there three times and have always had to send something back. The wait staff were very apologetic. My husband got the ribs and they came out so overcooked there was no meat on the bones. Got a new one which was ok. I had the pot pie which was good. Second time I got the blueberry waffles with bananas and strawberries. Waffle was not hot and the bananas were mushy and brown. I sent the bananas back and they said that's all they had. Should never have been served that way and just said they were out and should have offered to put on a few extra strawberries. Third time I had the fish and chips. Fish was good but thin. The fries were overcooked. They did replace them with fresh ones. My husband enjoyed his burger. I don't think we will back. read more

The food, service, and ambiance were wonderful. I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had fish. The meal was very enjoyable and our server was attentive and cheerful. I will definitely come back! read more

The chicken and waffles were outstanding and our service was superb. The decor was a throwback with some modern touches.

Fast service and good food. I had the eggs Benedict and home fries and my husband had the breakfast platter of eggs bacon and hash browns. The place was busy and a noisey from all the chatter behind the counter. read more

This used to be a lovely dinner with good food and service. Since the end of Covid, the food quality has dropped significantly, and the service has been terrible. They have also removed fully half of the menu items. We don't really go there anymore. read more

Best service by Lilly! What a test to have a server who really cares , she made sure multiple times we were doing good! Very sweet college girl , really likes working there . We will for sure ask for her again when we come back for breakfast, but I highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich. It was fantasy, juicy and large . Hubby had the fish pretty sure is tailspin not cod so not as tasty will try the tubs next they looked great read more

Went to this new Metro dinner last week with my MIL. There was mistake with my order but it was quickly replaced. I want to go back for their fish and chips. read more

Amazing tasting food! Taste like food I would make at home, fresh, decently priced for what you get.

Wanted to give this new location a try. Enjoyed their Tampa location but didn't want to drive all the way there from Riverview. Pleasantly surprised. The resturant was not busy on Friday evening. Good location with lots of parking. The menu options were good. My daughter selected the famous Chicken and waffles and was not disappointed.' The food arrives quickly and was seasoned well. Wait staff was good and attentive to our needs. Tried the chocolate cake as a dessert and was not disappointed. Great experience and good food. I will definitely go again. Several other items on the menu that needs to be explored read more

it's our first time to try Metro diner. We heard about it from many people recommended but it's not the first impression when we walk in. I guess we walk in in the busy time. It's a 10 o'clock in the morning, but we waited there for a while until they seated us and then the waiting time begin ,Wait and wait. Still nobody come. Nobody noticed that we're here .I'm about to give up and walk out then one ladywalked in and gave us some drinks. Well now they knew we are here so we had couples ladies came to ask if we need anything to drink then waiting for awhile for an orders. My husband ordered a eggs, hashbrowns, and toast and aside and make sure that the side was not being charged for because it says the top line of my order was eggs and side, and they said that it was ambiguous because they said the side was the hashbrowns included in the original menu and the side that I ordered was an extra $3.99 which I specified I'm not paying extra for the site and they charge me for it so that's the bottom Line she couldn't understand. She couldn't understand the menu either. They need to retrain the waitresses. Or you have to tell the people know you have to pay for that extra side. But the way the waitress explained it totally different. The manager had to correct the bill. For my order, I ordered steak & scrambled bowl , not too bad but the steaks are too tuff to chew. Good thing I have strong teeth. I m very disappointed. Guess this is our first time and last for this Dinner. read more
