I was very pleased with our visit to Meteor Astropub. We originally were planning to eat in the Mead Hall, but the wait was pretty significant. This place had no wait, we were seated quickly & instructed to order via our phones & then scan the QR code at the table (this is common around the entire park so be prepared with your payment set up via the app). We ordered some fun drinks and some entrees. The hamburger I had was okay. A little dry but otherwise fine. Overall, I'd eat here again; especially for a reprieve from the heat! read more

This is the second eatery we visited while at Epic Universe park. The dining space is big although the tables were mostly all high tops, difficult for an elderly person or short person to climb on chairs. The bathroom here was the worst I've seen in any establishment, dirty floors, no power in the water faucet, no paper towels and not enough toilet paper. (This was on a non-peak day) Can't imagine how that bathroom looks during a busy weekend visit. Now on to the food, the same issue, you have to order from an online menu, or the host/hostess has one hard menu to look at. My mom ordered a burger with fries and a soft drink. The burger had bacon which were overcooked and the burger was cold. She ate 1/4 of the burger and decided to take the rest home. Guess what, there are no to go containers for customers who wish to take leftover food. This is a huge problem in many aspects, it means most people throw out the food that can be perfectly re-heated if taken home, but we got creative and took the burger and fries, to reheat later that evening. On top of the food selections being costly the food is mediocre and you can't take leftover food. This is truly sad and unacceptable because that creates more food waste that is unnecessary. I think on my next trip to Epic Universe, I will take things to eat while there to avoid wasting money and food that is truly unacceptable. read more

Showed up at 11 am on a Wednesday, and was shocked to see how empty it was. This is a legit good restaurant, not just "good for a theme park." The Meteor Chopped Chicken Salad was absolutely delicious, with plenty of meat. I couldn't even finish it, it was so big. This, from a guy who doesn't even like salad. Meanwhile, the interior is spacious and full of light. The bathrooms are classy and well maintained (read: clean). I was enjoying the park with friends and we decided to give this place a try. it was nice to get out of the sun and enjoy the a/c and food. Each of us got a different dish to try. of course, the biggest eater in our group ended up with the smallest dish (chicken and waffle). Spicy grilled chicken sandwich - excellent tast and big portion size. It was spicy but not too spicy for anyone to enjoy. I will grab this next time we stop here. Chicken and Waffle - my friend should have read the menu better. This is a chicken thigh and small waffle. The flavor was great but the portion size was small for the price. Big Bang Burger - A little bit more than your average burge. Cooked perfectly and tasted great. I had the salad as a side To keep the meal a bit lighter. Overall we had a great experience here. We stopped by around 1:30 which was right after the lunch rush. The place was still packed but there was plenty of space between tables. Hint: there are freestyle machines at the far end of the restaurant that hardly only one was using. Have the option to order your food in advance and once you're seated, you can put down your where your table is located. Then, they will send the food over. It was a giant fillet of beer-battered cod, and although the batter was a little thick, there was a ton of fish in there. Their french fries were also good. My son had a cheeseburger, my husband had the spicy chicken sandwich, and I had the Sloppy Ayla's Tavern Sandwich. The food was all pretty tasty. Nothing blew us away, but it definitely hit the spot, and the portions were large. You order from a QR at your table, and a server brings it out to you. The menu was small but straightforward, and the setup was convenient--you can order through a QR code and have the food delivered right to your table. They also offer both indoor and patio seating, which is a nice option. I ordered the fish and chips. The crust on the fish was perfectly seasoned and had a great crunch, but the inside of the fish lacked flavor. The fries were supposed to have a wasabi seasoning, but I couldn't really taste it--they ended up being pretty bland and could've used some salt. Like pause mid bite, look at each other, and say wait a second impressed. We ordered the Astro Pub Burger and the Big Bang Burger, and both delivered far beyond what you assume you are getting inside a theme park. The Astro Pub Burger was everything you want from a classic burger but dialed all the way up. The beef patty was juicy, well seasoned, and cooked exactly right. Not dry, not greasy, just rich and flavorful. The cheese melted perfectly into the meat, the pickles added that sharp tang that keeps things balanced, and the sauce tied everything together with a little kick that made each bite better than the last. The bun deserves credit too. Soft but sturdy, it held up until the very end without turning into a soggy mess, which is honestly a small miracle in a theme park setting. Then there was the Big Bang Burger, which fully lived up to its name. This thing was indulgent in the best possible way. Stopped to grab something to eat and they had mobile ordering. We did mobile order, but you have to eat in the restaurant and they will bring the food to your table. It was kinda nice because you can relax and just wait for your food to be brought to you. It is clean and organized. The options are pretty limited, but the food was good. It didn't take long to wait for our food and there are plenty of seats to choose from. Didn't really like the strawberry shortcake as it was dry and had no flavor so not very good. Make sure you check the toppings for the Astro pub burgers because what usually comes standard like lettuce and tomato does not come on this one. This was the perfect spot for lunch when I came to Epic Universe. They have your standard burger and kid menu options, but I was looking for something a bit different and unique. This was my second time visiting Epic Universe, and first time trying out this restaurant. I went to Meteor Astropub to try and get a hamburger with a gluten-free bun, and to possibly get gluten-free fries. I was told by a Team Member at guest services that this would be the perfect restaurant to do that. When I came into the restaurant, a kind man greeted me and led me to a table. I asked about the gluten-free menu options and he directed me on the mobile app to mark certain food items with an allergy note, so that a chef could come to the table and handle the request. I placed my order, and when a chef finally came to the table, she was a bitter, rude African-American lady by the name of Erica. She gave me attitude and asked what my allergy was, huffed off, and then brought out the food moments later. My wife and daughters were appalled by her behavior, and we couldn't trust that the food was prepared properly, so I ended up eating nothing and waiting for the rest of my family to finish their food. That chef needs a serious attitude adjustment, especially because there was no real issue I was bringing up, just an allergy that I had, that I ordered in the correct fashion. Let me begin by saying that this review should be 5/5. I'm giving it a 3 because a VERY large fish bone was found in my fish & chips. I understand that mistakes happen, & we let a chef know who was very accommodating, etc. But that being said, the fish bone was large enough to do some serious damage if swallowed. Came here after walking around Universal all day, just wanted a quick bite! Wasn't greeted when we walked in and it was supposedly self seating so no one showed us a table either. Went up to cashier and started to place an order and then was told you need to order on the app. ???? I hate when places do this. Why have an in person place and then make someone order online when they are right in front of you. Anyways you actually needed the whole Universal app-- anyone with full storage on their phone knows the struggle. Then once the app is downloaded you have to enter your full personal info and create an account. Like nobody even has an appetite after all the high effort steps. Once our food arrived it was mid. Meteor Astropub was a great surprise! Hands down one of the best burgers I've had in a theme park -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The theming isn't quite as over-the-top as some of the other restaurants in Epic Universe, but it's still fun and fits the vibe. A big plus: my wife has a gluten allergy, and the chef personally came out to explain what they could and couldn't do -- super appreciated and made us feel well taken care of. Went here after it rained and thought to get some chips. when we recieved our portions i swear to god we got 19 chips. Mind you the wait was 30 minutes. not sure if they were dipping them in the fryer one at a time but my god i might as well put on one of those ridiculous caps and got them myself. This was one of those QR code ordering restaurants. that would be fine if the food actually came out on time. a lot of the serving staff seemed young and stressed. When we ordered a beer they didnt even give us cups, when i went up to ask for one the bartender told me to go and get a small little white cup rather than turning around and getting the beer cups. what? she was also on her phone which is unprofessional in itself. the food was slightly cold and i feel bad for the servers honestly just trying to do their job but when they asked for a tip for food i ordered on my phone that came out semi-cold and 30 minutes later i couldve cried. i would find a different place in epic universe unless you are fasting.
