We waited approximately 25-30 minutes between courses. When we expressed our concerns to a manager we were told the timing was intentional because this was "fine dining." We have all dined at fine-dining and Michelin-starred restaurants and completely understand properly paced courses, but these delays were excessive. To make matters worse, we had at least five spiders crawling down from the outdoor chandelier directly above our table. For an upscale restaurant, having spiders dropping around our table was extremely unsettling and raised serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. The food was also underwhelming, including hard beans in my dish. A different manager named Matthew eventually came out, was kind and apologetic, and made an effort to address our concerns, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, there was very little he could do to salvage the evening at that point. All 10 of us were first-time guests, and we all left feeling extremely disappointed. For dessert, the bread pudding with ice cream was a perfect end. Moist and delicious. It was getting full, so I was able to save some and enjoy at home too. The hummus appetizer was excellent and was easily the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and served with pita, cucumbers, carrots, and red peppers. The food presentation overall was attractive and showed promise. The most serious issue occurred when my son ordered a refill of his virgin mojito and was served a drink containing alcohol. He immediately noticed something was wrong after taking a sip and handed it to me. I tasted it as well and confirmed that it contained alcohol. Serving alcohol in a child's drink is a significant mistake and should never happen. We also ordered the steak frites based on a recommendation and were told it was exceptional. Unfortunately, the steak was extremely tough and chewy, making it difficult to eat and far from what was described. Management apologized and removed the steak from the bill, but the combination of excessive wait times, the alcohol mix-up involving a minor, and the disappointing entrée left a poor overall impression.
