To whom it may concern, The food was good but I am writing this review to highlight their above and beyond customer service that made a really bad day for my family a bit better. I had my 82 yr old father and 49 yr old Down's syndrome brother with me. My dad's mobility scooter ran out of power and there were no outlets to be found. I was pushing the scooter for an hour as my father struggled to walk with his cane when we reached the steps of the restaurant. The manager said she was more than willing to let us charge the scooter as we ate which was above and beyond what they needed to do. It went further. I discussed how bad of a day we were having and she brought us an appetizer and said she hoped that might help in leasing the bad day. Another employee helped my ailing father up some stairs and to the table. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. Instead of making us walk back to the front where the scooter was charging, another manager brought it to our table. I don't think they realized how much that meant to us and me. Both my dad and brother have challenges and I have to help a lot which I am willing to do but by Margaritaville and their staff giving me a small respite and helping us out, it meant the world to all three of us by helping out when they had 0 obligation to. My wife and I were very excited to visit Margaritaville since we've had great experiences at other locations in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and San Diego. Unfortunately, this location did not live up to our expectations. Service was extremely slow -- it took over 30 minutes just to receive two drinks, and this was during a slower period when the restaurant was not busy. On top of that, we noticed small roaches crawling on the walls, which was very concerning. The booths were also sticky and did not appear to be properly cleaned. We were really looking forward to this visit based on our past experiences with the brand, so this was very disappointing. read more

Peel and eat shrimp 7/10 The menu says steamed but they're actually chilled. Flavor was good. Shrimp was overcooked and the way that they chilled them made the shrimp so difficult to peel, the shrimps actually kept just breaking in half. It was honestly a huge pain and not worth it. The spicy mayo they came with was pretty good though. Fish tacos 10/10 The fish was flaky. The batter was good and fried perfectly. The toppings went great together too. The only thing I would like though is a couple limes on the side to squeeze on them. I did not eat the rice or beans so not sure how they were. Crab cake 8/10 I liked that you can add a crab cake to anything, but it comes plain. I do wish it came with a little bit of the Remoulade either on top or on the side to dip. Had some free time and was staying on property and went to margaritaville for lunch. We were able to walk right in and be seated. The waitress was very kind and helpful. The decor was really fun. The food was so-so. I had coconut shrimp and my son has the taco salad. The raspberry virgin margarita was the star of the meal. read more

Margaritaville was the only restaurant in CityWalk with reservations available... and now I understand why. We had a reservation and still experienced an 30min wait. Unless you're willing to sit on the outside patio, be prepared to wait well beyond your reservation. You can only check in 15 minutes before your time, and they claim they'll text you when your table is ready... except they never did. I had to repeatedly go back to the host stand, only to be told "almost ready" while my party of six stood waiting in the foyer for over 30 minutes. While waiting, we went to the bar to grab drinks. The bar was full, yet only one bartender was actually helping guests while another focused solely on service drinks. We stood there for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. My friend flagged down a barback, who said he'd let the bartender know. Eventually, the bartender glanced our way, said "be right with you"... and never came back. We had to grab a passing server just to place a drink order, which still took 20 minutes to arrive. When my husband finally asked about sitting outside just to speed things up, suddenly our table was "ready" and they claimed they had been trying to text us. Interesting, considering I had just checked in with them minutes before. Once seated, our waitress was friendly, but the issues continued. Drinks again took forever. We ordered guacamole and fish dip as appetizers. The guac came out quickly, but then my entrée arrived over 10 minutes before the second appetizer or anyone else's food. I actually had to ask why my meal came out so early. It was awkward sitting there with food getting cold while everyone else waited. I don't recommend the Huli Huli bowl, my stomach is still not right. The only bright spot was Taylor, who helped us near the bar and was genuinely kind. Unfortunately, one good team member couldn't make up for the overall disorganization and lack of service. As a local, I won't be coming back and I'd recommend others consider other options in CityWalk. read more

One of the few things that's truly good about City Walk is Margaritaville. I love a well themed restaurant and Jimmy's places have always been a home away from home. The volcano eruption was a surprise, especially if you're sitting under the bar and have no idea what's about to happen or why everyone's staring in your direction. I used to love coming to Margaritaville Orlando for a fun dinner! I came recently for the first time in years, and it wasn't as good as I remember it being. Maybe it's just because I was younger, but I feel like the volcano show being more elaborate and there just generally being more of an energetic party atmosphere. The food and service was okay. Our waitress was nice, but she kept forgetting things; we would have to ask multiple times for the same thing, and it wasn't even crowded. I got a quesadilla, which didn't have much flavor and was kind of greasy. I'm hoping this last visit was a fluke, because I used to love coming here. We had an amazing experience! Our server, Nicole, was incredibly friendly, polite, and made us feel right at home. We were seated at a perfect balcony table overlooking the water -- such a beautiful spot to relax, especially after hitting the rides all morning. We ordered a round of margaritas (two Perfect Margaritas, a 5 O'clock Somewhere, and a Jalamango Margarita), and every single one was fantastic. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and exactly what we needed. For appetizers, we had the Lava Lava Shrimp and Volcano Nachos, and both were delicious. Recently we had a girls night and decided to play tourists so we headed to City Walk for dinner and drinks. We ate at Margaritaville prior to drinks. The atmosphere was nice, we sat outside in the covered patio, eventually there was live music (steel barreled drums) and it wasn't too loud, it set a nice vibe. We sat for probably close to ten minutes before our server greeted us. Once she greeted us she was pretty attentive, checking on us frequently. We ordered a round of drinks, they were ok, nothing special. The margarita was unfortunately not that good, you'd think it would be their top cocktail but i've had better. Our food came out pretty quickly but unfortunately nothing was hot. It was warm, but not hot. I got the meatloaf cuban sandwich that sounded amazing but it was a little lackluster. Two others got the shrimp rice bowl and one got the fish tacos. The fish tacos were the star of the table, they looked great and tasted delicious. The same feeling you get trying to decide what mediocre option to chose among at the airport is the feeling you get at CityWalk. Margaritaville is at least a step up from the horrible Bubba Gump, who could not possibly survive if not for the Forrest Gump gimmick, but it's not that much of a step up. Much of the menu is bland, fried, or in the case of burgers, cooked to the temp you want as long as it's borderline medium-well or further. The shrimp ceviche is particularly bad. The nachos are great if you are just looking for a ridiculous instagram photo with a pile of calories, but are otherwise not really much different from the local bowling alley. The jambalaya is not horrible but not spicy by any stretch. Most of the margs short of the perfect margarita are heavy on the mix, so they're very sugar/sweet-forward vs any trace of the tequila. I really enjoy the vibe, the live music is typically good, the place is clean, restrooms clean, servers are all very nice but the kitchen and bar are often very slow. If I'm stuck at CityWalk, and it's not feeling like an upscale day or those couple places are booked, I tend to favor Bob Marley's over Margaritaville. read more

This was not my first time at Universal Orlando Citywalk, but it was my first time at Margaritaville. This location is an iconic part of the Universal Citywalk skyline along with the Hard Rock Cafe. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville was purposely built to draw attention and it does. It is one of the largest venues on Citywalk with 3 distincts sections. The outdoor section; the gift shop; and the indoor section. Not to be outdone by the other both restaurant parts have their own stages for respective entertainment. We opted to eat inside. With the live entertainment, the men walking on stilts, the crowded patrons, it was hard to hear yourself talk at times. They spared no expense or creativity when they decorated the place. Pictures can try, but being there is an experience. I tried their virgin pina colada. Yom Yom Yom. Tammy got their Perfect Margarita and she said it was pretty close to perfect! Volcano Nachos: A YUGE mountain of tortilla chips, chili, cheese, pico de gallo, fresh guacamole, sour cream and pulled pork. Wow! We couldn't finish it. Yom Yom Yom! Caribbean New York Strip: 10 oz. New York Strip Caribbean jerk seasoned, sweet plantain, chayote & yellow squash, sweet peppers, fried onions. The cook on the steak was spot on, but I didn't taste as much jerk seasoning. I would say it was a tad under-seasoned. The fried onions and the cooked plantains were perfect. Fish tacos: Large filets fried in a golden batter, avocado, cilantro lime coleslaw, key lime crema, black beans, island rice, pico de gallo. The fish was delicious. The large slice of fresh avocado with the key lime crema adds a nice flavor to the fried fish. Trip Around the Sun Burger: Two caramelized burger patties, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapeño relish, habanero ranch, on a brioche bun. Presentation was delightful. The jalapeno relish wasn't overly sweet and eaten with the habanero ranch, it was a very good burger! Yom Yom Yom! Cheeseburger in Paradise: The burger named after the famous song by Jimmy Buffett! Half pound of black angus beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, paradise island sauce on a brioche bun. If you look up American cheeseburger in a dictionary, you'd be hard press not to see a picture of this fellow. What's not to like. As the name implies, Margaritaville is an experience as much as it a restaurant. Take in the scenery and ask the men in stilts for a balloon animal. The connect gift shop has many many souvenir items to remind yourself of the great time you had at Margaritaville. read more

We stopped in for drinks and an appetizer.. We had a reservation, but still had to wait even though there were several empty tables. Service was fair. We had the tequila shrimp ceviche. The shrimp were in a creamy marinade, topped with bite size pieces of avocado and cilantro. The tortilla chips were supposedly home made, but they were dry and seemed stale. We had the margarita flight which was very good. A variety of four margaritas, the mango and perfect margarita were my favorites. Ok so Margaritavilles can be hit or miss. Luckily this location in City Walk is a good one! We actually ended up here twice since we didn't feel like leaving the area to go elsewhere. The first visit during our recent stay we just sat at the bar. Service was great and they mixed drinks were good. Second time we sat in the restaurant. Service was crazy slow. I'm generally not a fan of places like this, but cest la vie! We stopped in to Citywalk on a bit of a whim and Margaritaville was the only place that could get us in a reasonable wait time. Once seated our service was good. We ended up ordering the volcano nachos as our meal and at $25 I almost choked at the price, but holy cow, they aren't kidding calling this a volcano of nachos! It was huge - definitely shareable for a group. There were only 2 of us and we barely put a dent in it. I consider myself a bit of a nacho snob and these weren't too bad! I expected a big pile of naked chips but they did a pretty good job of getting cheese/chili layered through out. I found it a little odd it didn't come with salsa, but I think a side (a fairly large bowl) was about $3 extra? Doable even for this cheapskate. I wouldn't rush back, but if I found myself here again I know I'd at least be pretty pleased with a giant nacho! read more

Disappointing - started with the menu itself- not what the options were but rather the dirty, sticky and very beat up menu. The cover was filthy. The meal was so meh - huli huli- 3 smallish shrimp, 3 small pieces of chicken - everything barely warm and bordering on cool. So not worth the price. By the time they received the correct order, which the waitress said, the manager was working on himself, we had already finished our food. It was a burger. Just a single burger with a side of onion rings. No bacon on the burger, just cheese and lettuce. And it took 35 minutes for it to come out even though it was something that should have been prioritized since something was incorrectly delivered to the table. I love their margarita flight. Here we are 10 years later and there are still people on stilts making balloon animals. This time, I had a five year old and a three year old who absolutely adored it. The balloon artist made my older son a bow and arrow, which a week later, he still has. Even though I looked earlier in the day and there were tons of reservations open, there was a line when we walked up around 7 p.m. on a Friday. We decided to just make a reservation online for 8 p.m. and walk around the city walk in the meantime. When we came back for our reservation we were seated pretty much immediately upstairs. If I didn't have kids I would want to sit downstairs where the live music was. Upstairs was fine with kids, since it was a little more removed. We got chips with queso and guacamole (the queso isn't on the menu), plus I got a margarita flight. The queso was just ok, I'd skip it next time. The guacamole was pretty good and the chips were just chips. The flight was all sweet drinks, but I love the variety. I will keep getting the flight every time. I'd come here for the atmosphere more than the food. We had a great time and will be back. read more

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Margaritaville cottages for the Valentine's Day weekend. The accommodations were great. A 2 bedroom, 3 bath cottage with a hot tub out back. No maid service at all, as we didn't feel it was necessary to pay for that upgrade. We asked for and received towels and bathroom supplies when needed. The resort is right by the restaurant strip. You can call for shuttle service up until 10:45. The restaurants over there are fair. Good enough for a couple of nights dinner. Lastly, we ate at Euphoria Fish House and had a great Valentine's Day dinner. We will be back! read more

This could have been a great experience if it wasn't for the poor service. Neka was aloof and disappeared for half an hour at a time. When it came to the check we waited 30 minutes for the actual receipts and then she brought them back charging us for the wrong amounts. After that she disappeared for almost an hour. We ended up having to be refunded the prior charge and re-charged the correct amount essentially charging us twice. Thank you Aaron (who I'm assuming was a manager) for being able to handle the mess of a situation and go as far as giving us a percentage back. Poor service, and for it being a Tuesday evening is crazy. read more

The staff was nice and the place is cute but it gets PACKED! They have four bars but we had to walk around the whole building twice before finding seats. I had some friends visiting from out of town and they wanted to go to CityWalk. Walked in to check how long the wait was for dinner and they sat us right in which was great for a Saturday night. We sat upstairs and our waitress was very nice and helpful. We had a few appetizers, chips and guacamole and the conch fritters. For dinner tried the lava lava shrimp and it was delicious. I'm on a trip for drill team competition and me and my friends decided to try this place out. We walked in with a registration already and they gave us straight away are table. Are server came around 5-10 minutes making us slightly annoyed since we atleast wanted are drinks to be orders. We also notified how a table that came after us got their after us like 15-20 minutes had their drinks before us. Anyways we ordered and there was a band asking if any one had request to play which is nice to have a vibe throughout the background while you're talking or eating. They also played every song anyone asked which is lowkey impress since they can just do it right away with any song anyone asks. We then had are food brought to are table and my friend orders the nachos and they were big and worth paying 25-30 for.What I had was the cheeseburger in paradise and it was lowkey really good and I'm not the usual person that says a burger from somewhere I'm not used is really good which was a shocker in my opinion. Anyways there was also a ballon artist asking who wanted a ballon for FREE he also kept the energy up in the room making a vibe be happy and just funny!! Me and my friends obviously had to get ballon's for all of us most of my friend had flowers and a dog and I had a monkey with a long tail Anyways after we eat down the food we were starting to like need are check since we were done eating and had to be somewhere but it was taking the waitress at least like 15-20 minutes to like come back to are table so we had to tell someone to let her know we're ready. After walking around CityWalk for a while we were looking for a place to grab a cocktail and this place grabbed our attention since the bar was outside by itself and not inside the restaurant. Upon sitting down the bartender was attentive and we asked for a couple waters while we decided what we would like to order. I opted for the 5 O'Clock Somewhere and she got the Watermelon Agave Fresca. Both were good, but short on the alcohol. The price was okay at $14.75 a piece but I would have expected a little more alcohol in them, but that's a resort for you. It's a chill little cabana style bar and it was convenient so I don't really have any complaints because we got what we were looking for. Are there better places at CityWalk to grab a drink, absolutely! Would I stop by again, probably! Because it's fast and convenient. Enjoy! read more

My family recently visited Margaritaville during a trip to Orlando, FL to cerebrate my son's 6th birthday. The atmosphere and Caribbean vibe was the best part of our experience and night. I'm giving the restaurant 2 stars because while my son and I didn't enjoy our food, my husband did and the service from our waitress was please. She kept us laughing the entire visit. In addition, our alcoholic drinks were just subpar. We didn't order a second round of drinks. My son had chicken tenders or fried shrimp and French fries. (Not pictured) My husband ordered the Tequila Spiked Shrimp Ceviche. ( Not pictured) I was a little disappointed in the fact that we spent a nice amount of money in this establishment only for me to throw my leftovers away once we arrived back at the hotel.
