The Mespil has a very polished look and feel and is in the South side of Dublin, a more upscale part of town. It's still walkable to the main tourist areas like Grafton Street and Temple Bar, but it's a solid mile or so before you reach the hustle and bustle. Buses are easy to catch nearby to get anywhere. The room is spacious enough for our three night stay with a pleasant view of trees along the canal across the street. The staff has been kind but seem a bit polished and stuffy at times. Coffee maker with pods, tea kettle and assorted teas, 2 bottles of water every day, iron, plenty of USB-a and USB-c plugs on three different walls. The shower works great and is immaculate, but the towels are a little crunchy, but they do provide robes as well. There's a full gym, two restaurants and a small lobby. There are at least 20 restaurants, groceries and convenience stores all at the first intersection... it's like restaurant row!

I was very pleased with the service at this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations while staying there. The rooms were also nice with good amenities and the service was very attentive.

This is a long overdue review of one of my favorite parts of my wife's and my vacation to Ireland in 2022. In July, we checked in at the Mespil for the first leg of our vacation in Dublin. From check-in to dining to any issues to check-out, the staff was one of the most professional and nicest groups I've ever encountered in our travels. Upon check-in, there was an issue with the AC in our room, which isn't an issue worthy of knocking the location, these things happen sometimes in hotels of this size. The staff was very prompt and thorough in helping us fix the situation, which I appreciated greatly. Some hotels will say they will look into it, but at the Mespil the situation was remedied in minutes. Dublin is a beautiful city, and the Mespil is very close to the main tourist areas, a short pleasant walk or a shorter cab ride. The view from the breakfast area was nice, and I liked seeing the city from our hotel window. We booked a romantic package which came with a chilled bottle of champagne in our room and some extras which were adorable. My wife was over the moon! The breakfast was a buffet style, which at first I was skeptical. I've had a lot of buffet breakfasts traveling for business and pleasure, and usually it's not a great sign. But this breakfast was incredible. The number of options (I took pictures of a handful and attached but there were more!) was very surprising, and I have to say, this hotel won me over on the "full Irish breakfast". Coming home to my own breakfast cooking was disappointing haha. And the staff, I can't say enough about. Ariel was a server who was at breakfast each morning, and was incredibly attentive and kind. We had some great chats with him, and appreciated his service. Magnus was the young man who handled the front desk for most of our stay including check in and check out. He was kind, quick, and had some fantastic recommendations of places to check out that we didn't find in our Googling and research before the trip. And Sebastian was a staff member who came to repair our air conditioning and also help on a handful of occassions. The staff was great. The views were great. The food was great. I can't recommend this place and their staff highly enough, and the next time my wife and I are in Dublin, we will be staying here without a doubt.

I stayed here in early August of 2023 and have never experienced better service in my many years of traveling. From the front desk, guest reception, bell hop, and restaurant staff, everyone was very accommodating and so pleasant. For example, the outlet converter I brought did not fit so the bell hop went searching and came back to my room with four different types to make sure I had what I needed for my two night stay. The guest relations hostess was also very accommodating when I was looking for a spa in town. Finally, when I departed at 6:30am, I needed help with my bags and the bell hop was at my door within 5 minutes of my call! The location of this hotel is great, a short walk over the canal and you are in the heart of the city. I chose to take the double-decker bus to see the city and it was a great choice. After a full day, I returned to the hotel and stopped in the bar for a drink and food. The pasta was very fresh and tasty but you have to try the wings! They are Korean bbq flavor and absolutely delicious!

We just arrived at our hotel in Dublin Ireland and couldn't be happier with our hotel & room. We had a bite to eat at the hotel lounge and it was delicious. Highly recommend this centrally located Dublin Hotel.

Beautiful hotel with the most comfortable beds and pillows!! I also had an executive superior room, so you do get what you pay for after all. The AC worked very well and the shower was heavenly. The tv was the biggest I've had in any room at any hotel in Ireland thus far, and while I'm not there to watch the tube, it is nice right before bed or for some background noise. I really appreciated the aloe Vera plant on the credenza that housed the mini fridge and Nespresso machine with pods to make superior coffee. I loved the modern and clean hotel with sleek features, a high end restaurant and a great lounge that serves food until 10. I had a steak sandwich on flatbread and a delicious Shiraz when I first arrived and had Falling Apple Cider at the bar the next day in between my outings. It was a delicious cider that was crisp and refreshing and not lacking in alcohol content. I enjoyed walking across to the river and just taking in some beautiful scenery. Another huge benefit to this hotel and it being just a teeny bit away from the main part of the city was that it was free to park my rental car which is huge. Some hotels get off charging 10 euros a night or even more. I absolutely loved my stay here!!

For the price, my hotel room smelled awful and it was super noisy from the HVAC outside. I would take the noise of Temple Bar over that. I wasn't really impressed with the decor. Everything was plain and bland. It lacked charm. It was ok but I will look for another option on my next Dublin trip.

We arrived from an overnight flight at roughly 9:30 a.m. and they were still prepping rooms but they stored our luggage and recommended a location to grab something to eat which was very good. Upon returning about 45 minutes later our room was ready and we found the room to be meticulous with a very comfy king bed, mini fridge, tv, and ample size bathroom. I saw a few other reviews that stated the bathroom doors would not stay open but I learned that is by design and we just asked for an extra towel that we used to prop the door open when needed. It serves to point out that the entire hotel is under a complete remodel so many of the rooms and features of the hotel are shinny new. They do offer breakfast in the morning and for the evening they do have a restaurant and bar. Just walk out the front door if you want a livelier crowd and more restaurant options The location of the hotel is prime as it offers proximity the River Liffey, plenty of shops, pubs, and attractions. We walked to the Jameson (25 min walk) and Guinness (30 min walk) factories as it also gave us the ability to take in things along the walk. You are close to Trinity College and both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals. lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff, Anne at the front desk was a warm and inviting pleasure and very professional, Marvin the concierge and bellman was super helpful and pleasantly informative, the house staff was attentive and always looking to make sure we were comfortable. The Brooks comes with my highest recommendation.

If you come prepared, they have a concierge and a genealogist on site to help you find your ancestors from Ireland. Many famous people and politicians have stayed in these walls as well. That said, this was a truly special time of year when they're getting ready for Christmas! They took such care and were meticulous with their decorations. It was delightful to come home to each evening. Experience: 1. They will tidy your room everyday 2. Turn down service begins around 6 pm (they will get your slipper, robe, bed, water and chocolate ready for nighttime) 3. Their small guest room includes a king size bed that is superbly fluffy. 4. The deluxe guest room has a deep tub for soaking Staff: The entire front desk staff is very helpful, welcoming and efficient. Marta was especially helpful and kind throughout my stay! As for the porters were just right with their assistance. I did always feel bad that I had not gotten any Euro on my trip, but I will mention Karl was fantastic! Always helpful and nice to talk with. Michele in the health center was informative and helped me find all of the rooms for their current gym as it's under renovation. Facilities: They have a 5 star spa on site that includes one of the best relaxation rooms I have experienced in the world. It's the view and seating that make it amazing. They give you a blanket, fruit, spa water -- all while looking over st. Stephen's park... bliss! (I went on a rainy day which added to the ambiance) The facial with Elemis product was my favorite. PRO TIP! if you're from the states and liked Elemis, there is now an Elemis outlet store at Kildare Village, which is a short train ride away. I made it there in 35 minutes. DINING: Again, 5 star experience and the restaurant is always packed. Chef makes superb food and I thoroughly enjoyed the room service of fish and chips. TONS of fish, perfectly battered and fried. If I could give the shelbourne a 10 out of 5 I would.

It is in a convenient location nearby many tourist attractions, such as Temple Bar, Dublin's castle, St Patrick's Cathedral, etc. it was also a short walking distance to our car rental pick up at St Stephen's Green shopping centre. We booked this hotel for the first day of our trip. We arrived in the morning so our room wasn't ready for check in yet, but we were able to drop off our luggage in the lobby. This made it easy for us as we could continue exploring according to our plan (we took a 30 minute train ride over to Howth right after dropping our bags). Coming back to the hotel around 5pm, our room was ready and we were able to nap a bit before dinner. The superior room we booked was located in a renovated section of the hotel and had access to a shared outdoor patio right across from our hotel room. We didn't have time to use the patio but it was spacious and it seemed no one was using it whenever we passed by. Our hotel room was very clean, large (great for us as we had plenty of luggage) and we had two complementary water bottles in the room. We had breakfast the next morning and it was buffet style. There is a section if you want fresh made omelettes. Lots of variety I think but I stuck with the classic Irish breakfast items. So delicious and fresh! Check out process - we had a bit of a hiccup as I had given my credit card for authorization for breakfast charges when I checked in. The staff was asking for my credit card again which confused me as I had already paid. Despite the confusion, the service at Radisson was great and I would definitely recommend this hotel for fellow tourists!
