This is a beautiful hotel right next to Trinity College and in close proximity to O'Donnell Street and the Temple bar area. It was previously the Westin Dublin, now The College Green Autograph collection. The room we were placed in, the Oscar Wilde suite, was a spacious 2-story room with a large bathroom and sitting room upstairs. Breakfast in the Morelands Grill includes a good variety of food buffet style as well as a la carte items. The Mint Bar downstairs is open late if you don't want to venture to the pub scene in town. The live music was amazing. There is even a small fitness center that has a few cardio equipment pieces as well as dumbells. If you needed more than that, they offer passes to the gym at Trinity College. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The tea service is located in the atrium. I would definitely stay here again if I ever have the opportunity to return to Dublin.

    Atrium outside my window

I had a terrible stay. I had a room on the 2nd floor that bordered the atrium so that my windows looked out onto the people lounging, eating and drinking. No natural light was able to enter my room which made it very difficult to adjust to the time difference (+8 hours) and just felt very stuffy and claustrophobic. On my second morning I ordered room service breakfast and proceeded to get food poisoning and spent the next couple of days stuck in this uncomfortable room which by the end felt like solitary confinement. Unable to tell whether it was night or day by the window, I could count on the noise from the evening crowd in the atrium to let me know. Couple other complaints: Shower has one of those 1/2 doors so water spills out all over the bathroom floor. Soap and shampoo had such a powerful scent that I didn't even want to use them. Hot water didn't last long. Some positives: Staff was friendly. Fitness center was good. Convenient location. Overall very disappointed. Even if I hadn't gotten sick, the value received for the price paid was definitely not worth it.

The Westin is a wonderful property in the heart of Dublin. This was my first trip back in a few years and the hotel had only reopened a few weeks prior after it's COVID related shutdown. I was upgraded to a remodeled room on the mezzanine level and the staff were simply beyond accommodating throughout my stay. They arranged for my airport pick-up and return with ease and the service was impeccable. Nothing was a problem, including printing the necessary docs for the next destination The restaurant served breakfast and dinner and both were quite good. Again, the staff in the restaurant were fabulous and the food was also well prepared and quite tasty. Overall, a great stay and I look forward to my next stay.

There are no towel racks near the shower.

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights. I rate this hotel a 4 due to the inadequate bedside lighting. Our room had no individualized bedside light controls. If one person wanted to lie in bed and read, the bedside lamp of the partner would also be on, which would be disruptive to the partner's sleep. Even mediocre American hotels/motels have individualized bedside light controls. Also, there was no way to adjust the direction of the bedside light. It was more like a muted wall sconce. The poor bedside lighting is the primary reason I rate the hotel a 4. Perhaps the hotel believes that everyone should be reading a backlit iPad or Kindle instead of a paper book. Our room was fairly small and did not have enough space for two upholstered chairs. Instead we had one upholstered chair and a fairly comfortable chaise lounge. The table was a fairly low oval 2' x 4'. The bedside nightstands were small but had a shelf and a drawer. The window sills were wide enough to offer storage, as was the shelf under the TV. The closet had some shelves, but the room was not big enough to house a dresser. My husband usually likes to unpack his suitcase, but that wasn't practical in this hotel. Our particular room had an odd bathroom floor plan. There was no hook to hang your bath towel close to the shower. You had to walk across the tile floor dripping water to reach a towel. The terrycloth mat just outside the shower blocked the movement of the bathroom door. It is entirely possible that other rooms in the hotel have a better floor plan. There was a large deep shelf over the toilet for storage of guest toiletries and medications. I was happy the hotel room had glass glasses and pottery coffee cups. There was a fridge stocked with beverages. I believe there was a small hot water heater for tea plus a coffee maker. All of this was nice. The hotel has a great location near Grafton street shopping. Temple Bar is nearby for those who want to drink and dine with fellow tourists. The hotel's Atrium Room on the mezzanine is a nice place to have high tea from 12-5 or a drink in the evening. There is a gas fireplace. My husband and I had drinks there twice. We never made it to the hotel's Mint bar in the basement. The included breakfast was very good. I particularly liked the eggs Benedict. Our room faced a side street that was quiet for sleeping. All the employees in the hotel were helpful. When we return to Dublin in a couple weeks we will stay at a hotel with individualized bedside lighting, two upholstered chairs, and a bigger table. We stayed at that hotel a year ago.

Location is great and conveniently located next to the Temple Bar area. We were located on the 5th floor overlooking the atrium lounge. The room and halls were traditionally decorated on the 5th floor but the first floor looked to be recently updated. The gym had a few treadmills, bikes, free weights, and a couple of other machines. I was disappointed in the inconsistency in service. We opted for their late breakfast option at 1030am instead of the normal buffet. For the first breakfast they allowed us to select more than one item and provided it free of charge based on platinum status. The next day my husband went to breakfast alone and they only allowed him one item and also charged $5 for the hot item. It is really surprising as we have traveled all over the world to various Starwood hotels and almost never have been charged for a hot breakfast option. This actually has only happened once ..also at a Westin. In addition, we had a 4pm late checkout which is standard with platinum status and asked if we could extend this for one more hour. I was dreadfully ill from food poisoning so the extra time would have been nice. They offered us another hour with a charge of 20-30 euros...great..

The hotel's location is perfect for folks who visit Dublin for the first time. It's right next to Trinity College and is facing to Temple Bar area. You get drunk and still can crawl back to the hotel. The hotel used to be a bank building - the basement bar used to be the vault when it was a bank. Since the hotel was built combining a couple of buildings, you will see some slopes on each level when you walk around. The hotel employees are very friendly and nice. I like their Library Suites - they probably have 5 or 6 of them and they are all bi-level and each suite has a unique name. See the photos. Some of the suites have a tiny balcony facing to Temple Bar area.

Light up from the outside, the building stands alone as a figure point on the street. Warm welcome by staffers and clean room. Wish breakfast opened at 6:00am rather than 6:30am so I could grab a quick breakfast before heading out to explore Dublin.

    Atrium Lounge - very posh

Beautiful hotel, great location and nice rooms with all of the amenities. The location of the hotel is key - super close walk to River Liffey, Financial District, Grafton Street, Temple Bar, and right across the street from Trinity College. It was close enough to everything we wanted to see and do without being right in the Temple Bar district which can get very loud. I was here for several days on business and then my wife came to join me for some adventure. The location is close to the financial district so it was a close walk for me to get to the office buildings. It was also centrally located to the more pedestrian friendly tourist areas such as Grafton Street and Temple Bar District. We stayed in a very modern room with all of the amenities you would expect from a Westin, especially the super comfortable bed. We received a warm welcome and were quickly checked in. We got a very good nights sleep. Had tea in the Atrium Lounge. This atrium is really a beautiful and nice place to sit, relax and have tea. Its a must see if you are in the hotel. The staff are a great asset - very friendly and helpful in all areas. I highly recommed this hotel.

For the price, my hotel room smelled awful and it was super noisy from the HVAC outside. I would take the noise of Temple Bar over that. I wasn't really impressed with the decor. We arrived from an overnight flight at roughly 9:30 a.m. and they were still prepping rooms but they stored our luggage and recommended a location to grab something to eat which was very good. Upon returning about 45 minutes later our room was ready and we found the room to be meticulous with a very comfy king bed, mini fridge, tv, and ample size bathroom. I saw a few other reviews that stated the bathroom doors would not stay open but I learned that is by design and we just asked for an extra towel that we used to prop the door open when needed. It serves to point out that the entire hotel is under a complete remodel so many of the rooms and features of the hotel are shinny new. They do offer breakfast in the morning and for the evening they do have a restaurant and bar. Just walk out the front door if you want a livelier crowd and more restaurant options The location of the hotel is prime as it offers proximity the River Liffey, plenty of shops, pubs, and attractions. We walked to the Jameson (25 min walk) and Guinness (30 min walk) factories as it also gave us the ability to take in things along the walk. You are close to Trinity College and both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals. lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff, Anne at the front desk was a warm and inviting pleasure and very professional, Marvin the concierge and bellman was super helpful and pleasantly informative, the house staff was attentive and always looking to make sure we were comfortable. The Brooks comes with my highest recommendation.

It was delightful to come home to each evening. Experience: 1. They will tidy your room everyday 2. Michele in the health center was informative and helped me find all of the rooms for their current gym as it's under renovation. This made it easy for us as we could continue exploring according to our plan (we took a 30 minute train ride over to Howth right after dropping our bags). Coming back to the hotel around 5pm, our room was ready and we were able to nap a bit before dinner. The superior room we booked was located in a renovated section of the hotel and had access to a shared outdoor patio right across from our hotel room. We didn't have time to use the patio but it was spacious and it seemed no one was using it whenever we passed by. Our hotel room was very clean, large (great for us as we had plenty of luggage) and we had two complementary water bottles in the room. We had breakfast the next morning and it was buffet style. There is a section if you want fresh made omelettes. Lots of variety I think but I stuck with the classic Irish breakfast items. So delicious and fresh! Check out process - we had a bit of a hiccup as I had given my credit card for authorization for breakfast charges when I checked in. The staff was asking for my credit card again which confused me as I had already paid.
