Very nice and immaculately clean hotel just a few minutes walk from fun pubs, delicious restaurants and amazing museums as well as Hop On/Hop Off bus stops and train stations. Bar is open late and drink prices are very fair. The lobby bar is a really nice spot to chill out and beautifully laid out. Before booking this hotel I was concerned about possible late night noise but there was none at all during our 8 day stay. The staff are amazing and the Irish Breakfast is a real treat! Great staff, beautiful lobby bar and reception, good location and nice rooms. There is an elevator but on each hall there are a series of up and down small steps so mobility is necessary to get to your room. It was a hot spell when we were(75F) there so our rooms were slightly warm but we managed. Rooms have comfortable beds, we got one room that was a small double and I feel it was a nice accommodation for one person . Our other room was two twins and it worked great for two. read more

Our hotel in Dublin, Ireland, from Tuesday until yesterday was the Fleet Hotel in the Temple Bar area. It was a lively area with many bars and restaurants and live music. It was on the south side of the river and there was so much to do on that side. The room was compact and the bed was cozy. There were iPhone jacks, which was handy as we only had one power adapter each. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge as they provided complementary water that needed to be refrigerated after opening. There was a complimentary buffet breakfast included. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner smelled really nice. read more

I'm not sure how any person could complain about this hotel - after traveling significantly, this hotel is both comfortable (incredible mattress, bedding, bathroom), super clean, and staffed with friendly and helpful staff. We're in Ireland, so it's not quite what you would get in the USA - but honestly, the room was so much more comfortable than many 5 star hotels back home. The bathtub was a dream, the water pressure and temperature was beyond any reasonable expectation. The staff was super helpful. I couldn't find the hair dryer - but it was in the room and it wasn't in the bathroom because you don't use it in the bathroom here - you use the desk/mirror in the bedroom. Took a quick question at the front desk and that was entirely on me! I arranged for a birthday surprise for me husband and we enjoyed the extras from the hotel. The bar was amazing (call out to the great bar staff), breakfast was great, and the only rude people we encountered were British and French tourists. Definitely book with the breakfast, it's a great value and perk - the hotel even packed us breakfast to go on our early tour days. I'd 100% pay double for the room and stay here again. My cousin found this hotel for my birthday trip this past May, and it greatly exceeded my exceptions. The location ideal for tourism in the Temple Bar area - it's a quick walk to so many places like the iconic Temple Bar, the infamous Brazen Head, Trinity College where you can see the gorgeous library and Book of Kells, shopping on Grafton street, fantastic restaurants, and more! The hotel itself is gorgeous as well - the lobby has such a luxe and expensive feel. The breakfast, which we opted in for, is also quite the spread - I wish we had more time to enjoy it while we were visiting. From what I remember, they had some traditional Irish breakfast items, and you could also order a few additional made-to-order items directly from the waiter service. We expected the size of the room to not be large so we weren't disappointed - it was the perfect space for two people and our luggage. The bathroom was also a good size. The weather was great while we were there so no A/C was not an issue for us. Also the blackout drapes were really effective. And there really wasn't much noise at night either. Every employee that we interacted with was super helpful and friendly as well. I cannot think of a single negative regarding our stay so I will definitely keep this hotel in mind for future visits to Dublin. read more

The room is pretty small, bathroom towels smelled like body odor/sweat, shower has panels that only go halfway so water leaked out at the back half, heater didn't work so they gave me an electric radiator heater and though the heat turns on, it doesn't spread in the room. By the time i went to sleep, the heater had been on for 2 hours and it was still cold in the room. The towel rack I believe had an option to be heated but I couldn't turn it on. There were no outlets next to the bed so you can't use ur phone or any other device and charge in bed. The floor and room I was given was also too noisy. This room is all by itself is in a hallway that connects the section for the elevator and more rooms. Why there's doors between both of these I'll never know. I had just come off a long flight and wanted to nap but there was a lot of foot traffic and it always sounded like someone was right outside my door and trying to come in. There was also someone cleaning/vacuuming right outside the door, which didn't help with my nap. Oh and I could hear my neighbor walking in their room, almost sounding like they were in MY room! Super creaky floors. All in all, just not a good fit for me. The staff were really good though and location can't be beat. The Fleet was above and beyond my expectations. I took a little "mom time" this week and spent two nights in The Fleet on my own. The place is glamorous without being pretentious, comfortable without being outdated. I think they've put a lot of time and effort into bringing it back from lockdown and it shows. The staff were all super friendly and helpful in a genuine way, particularly the breakfast staff. And the food was great! The lobby was spotless and inviting (and Covid protocols were all adhered to). My room was small but super comfortable and clean and the shower was amazing. I really felt like I got away and treated myself. The only minor minor minor things were that the window was a little dirty from whoever last opened it and also there appeared to be some peeling paint over the door frame, but I only noticed this when I was leaving. The room was also a bit warm, but we were having a minor heat wave so I don't think this would normally be an issue. Honestly, I can't wait to come back and bring my husband next time. Also, as others have noted, this is Temple Bar (even the "quiet side" of Temple Bar is not quiet!) so it was never going to be a soundless room. Dublin is a vibrant, musical, colorful city, but also a bit of a dirty city, so if you're not comfortable dodging the occasional sketchy person, maybe book down on the South side where all the celebrities live. :) read more

I checked in to the Fleet Street Hotel for my last night in Dublin. I chose it mainly due to the location - I wanted to brave Temple Bar for the night, and this hotel is right in the heart of things. The hotel sits right above a TGI Friday's, so you'll need to take the elevator up to the second floor to check in. I arrived early in the day (around noon), but they were able to get me a room within about a half hour - there's a Tesco right across the street, so you can go get a sandwich or a drink while you wait. Or, of course, you could visit one of the many, many bars in Temple Bar. On to the room - Please note that while the hotel does have an elevator, the floors are split levels - so, if you're on the fourth floor, you may still have to go up and down a few sets of stairs. Keep that in mind if you're lugging a huge suitcase. I was on the 4th floor way in the back, which was great in terms of the noise - despite the constant party in Temple Bar, I was not disturbed by the crowds and was able to get a pretty good nights sleep. The bed was nothing special - comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and well lit. No complaints. I uploaded a bunch of pictures, so check those out if you're considering this hotel for your stay in Dublin. If you're towards the back of the hotel, I wouldn't recommend purchasing the wifi... I did pay the five euros, but the signal wasn't strong and didn't work at all after about 8pm. Nothing for the rest of the night, nothing in the morning. Staff at the front desk were all right - not particularly friendly, but not rude. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but it wasn't a miserable experience. A-OK. read more

This hotel is located in the city center area and is a prime location for proximity to bars, restaurants, etc. Temple Bar, a huge tourist bar, is just a few minute walk down the street. The hotel has a TGI Friday's on the ground floor. Dublin has a great bus system so it was easy to get to the hotel from the Dublin Airport. The hotel was a reasonable price and was clean. Despite being on a street with a lot of pedestrians, it was surprisingly quiet. There is a grocery store located directly across the street from the hotel entrance. I stayed here in December so the reception area was decorated for Christmas and felt very cozy. I felt safe in the hotel - you had to give them your name after 11 pm to enter the building. The shower had great water pressure and it was refreshing. The room did not have a safe if you're looking to keep your valuables locked up. The shower was very small and the water temperature adjusted to extremes with an ever so slight movement of the handle. The internal walls were a bit thin so you could hear noise from the hallway if people were out there being loud. Overall, I was happy with my stay and would stay here again. You just can't beat the location for the price! read more

Loved this hotel. I had a double room that was lovely and bright. I'd stay here again in an instant the next time I'm in Dublin. The good: - Big windows in the bedroom and bathroom that open to let in a fresh breeze - Location: right in Temple Bar - A walk-in closet - An amazing shower with great water pressure. I didn't want to get out. Pretty, modern bathroom too. - Two free drink passes the the pub below - How fun is it to have direct hotel access from an Irish pub? The not so good: - Our room lacked a safe (others had them) - Noise. I expected as much from the area so I wasn't annoyed. But if you count on nighttime quiet for a good night's sleep, don't book near Temple Bar. - Just a preference: the bed was too hard. I could have used more than 1 pillow too. Reception was incredibly helpful and informative. The lifts made transporting luggage easy. And the hotel has plenty of space in their luggage room to hold your belongs after checkout if you want to stay and play a little longer. Great hotel. read more

I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. I stayed here for four days in October and the hotel was going through some adjustments and refurbishing. My room was excellent and a decent size. The shower was great and water pressure was strong which I didn't expect in Dublin. But above all, the staff were wonderful and no matter what it took they worked to ensure my stay was a good one. It is perfectly located in Temple Bar right by the river. There was a laundromat just around the corner as well. In these situations accommodation is a key factor and I couldn't have chosen a better place for the price. In particular I would like to thank Kamil and Pavla who I would see most mornings, but also Mike and Alexandra. I may be in Dublin in January and if so I will definitely stay there again. read more

This hotel is in the heart of the action. Location is its best feature and that is definitely the main reason why we picked this hotel. Located in the Temple Bar area, you're near restaurants, shopping and the main reason why you're in Dublin, BARS! The hotel is located right above a TGIFriday's, yes the same Friday's that is probably 10 minutes from your house right now (if you live in the States). Being an American, I was hoping it was a different restaurant but it didn't bother me since there are a plethora of restaurants within walking distance. Our room was decent, nothing great and it could have been worse. The beds aren't the comfiest but after a few Jameson and Cokes, you won't be able to tell the difference. Since our room was located on the same floor and fairly close to the front desk, we could access the free WiFi from our room (barely). If not, you can access the WiFi easily in the lobby. The rooms do NOT have air conditioning. We went in early August and it was in the high 70's which is perfect for walking around and sightseeing but I like to sleep under the covers at night and it was a little warm to do that. read more

I can't say that my trip to Ireland started out with a bang, mainly due to this hotel. While the location is absolutely primo -- right in the middle of Temple Bar, right across from the O'Connell bridge, right down from Trinity College -- and appears from the outside to be a very cute boutique hotel, that's kind of where the positives end. So, where to begin. As with most places in Ireland, there is no AC. Which normally, I'm sure is not a problem 99% of the time. However, during the entire week I visited, Ireland was experiencing the longest heatwave they've had in thirty years (as many a taxi driver were excited to tell me). This meant that not having AC, a fan, or even windows that fully opened made trying to get to sleep a NIGHTMARE. Oh, but don't worry. To accommodate during the heatwave, the hotel was offering rentable box fans... for 10 Euro A NIGHT. *facepalm* Speaking of sleep, it wasn't too comfortable on the terrible mattresses that the Fleet Street Hotel has in stock either. I'm used to European hotels only having a double-sized bed, but even if we're gonna be in close quarters, you'd expect the mattress to be comfortable for what we're paying, right? Alas, no. Finally, the real straw that broke this 2-star rating's back: the noise. As mentioned, the location of this hotel is grand. It's right in the middle of Temple Bar, one of Dublin's most happening (and most touristy) areas. But, unfortunately, that means it's RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF TEMPLE BAR. And the area is aptly named, as it seems to be comprised primarily of bars that are hopping until 2, 3, 4 AM. And empty right into the alley next to our hotel room. Which we have to have the windows open for, since it's so hot. I had to sleep with earplugs AND a pillow over my head in order to block out even a smidgen of the noise. It was not so fun. So yes, unfortunately this hotel does not make my list of must-stays in the area. In fact, my recommendation would be, if at all possible, to stay in one of the American-style hotels just across the river. Perhaps the Westin, or the Hilton affiliate (can't remember what it's called) that some of our friends stayed in during the trip and couldn't speak highly enough of. But if you value your sleep, comfort, or general sanity, I'd avoid Fleet Street. Unless you have an insatiable desire for T.G.I.Friday's, that is. After all, it's sitting on top of one. read more

Not the best experience here. There was an issue with booking, the rooms are small, dingy, the shower head was broken and the space was tiny. Then again, it's a in location, Temple Bar, in the heart of Dublin so everything is accessible and easy to get to. We're thankful for Alex, at the front desk assisting with the mix up and accommodating us as they gave us two single bed rooms versus the double room we booked. He ended up giving us the double room, after some hesitation. We likely will not stay here again. read more

A hotel manager walked into our room unannounced and saw me naked. They claim he knocked. I disagree. All I know is that a strange man (employee) saw me naked in my hotel room at Fleet Street Hotel and not one person in this hotel seems to care. This was the first hotel we stayed at on our trip to Ireland. The Location is great but that is the only reason it gets a star. The temple Bar area is amazing and full of bars and entertainment options. Many other hotels in the area are similar in costs and offer far better amenities and services Two days we departed our credit card company had called us and asked if we were in Europe yet (we had previously advised our travel dates) we laughed and said no. Well long and short someone at there booking had stolen the credit card number and went on a $ 5,000 binge at Harrods. I understand that these things can happen but the response from the hotel was the shocking part. Their response was it happens, sorry. Then they asked since the credit card is now declined we need another to secure your reservation. They made no attempt to resolve the issue or offer any type of discount. Which shocked me but may not be standard policy in Ireland. Now to the actually accommodations I understand this was not a five star hotel and did not expect anything near it. This resembled more like a shady airport hotel then one in a popular area. The room was drab, the cups they supplied were used (not cleaned) and their was extensive mold in the bathroom. Service was non-existent. All should be aware that this hotel does not have ac if travelling in summer. Given all the events we stayed one night (mainly because we had no other option due to time restraints). It was a horribly experience. We booked other hotels in the area that were amazing. Location is great but make sure if you go there you have a great rate and caution your credit card company before hand. read more

Stayed here for a week and have to say I absolutely loved it! It was so close to everything and very easy to walk just about every where in Dublin. We stayed on the 4th floor and had no issues with noise. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the staff was awesome at answering any and all questions we had. The free coffee was a definite plus and loved the outdoor terrace to sit out and enjoy the fresh air and unwind after a busy day of seeing all the sights. Also, there are TONS of restaurants and bars near by and a grocery store right across the street. Definitely would stay here again. read more

Free wifi included, breakfast optional....however for your optimum experience with both the hotel and Dublin you MUST indulge in breakfast, where the food is excellent. If you are fortunate enough to be attended by server CECILIA consider yourself as entering Heaven. Not only is she a person with a warm and bubbling personality who gives your day a great start, she is caring. attentive, and a very helpful in answering questions about the local area. This is my second time staying in the hotel and I am returning again next month....with CECILIA being one of the determining factors. This is a great hotel right at the eastern end of the Temple Bar area in Dublin. Everything about this establishment is well done. Check in was quick and efficient. My room was clean and well appointed. The bathroom shower stall features a ceiling rainfall shower or wand shower. The windows have the regular panes that tilt in to allow air flow but there is another window that can be closed to limit noise from outside at night (a problem in the Temple Bar area). Breakfast was a full English breakfast and the staff were all friendly and attentive. Definitely will stay again if in Dublin. read more

First off, GREAT location. The location was pretty central to wherever we needed to go during our stay in Dublin. Also, very nice bathrooms. There was only a shower but that didn't really affect us. However there was not much table space in the bathroom, which really may have been the reason why the bathroom felt so big. They do offer breakfast for a surcharge. We opted to go without the breakfast. Check in was fairly fast and easy and they offer complimentary water, coffee, and tea in the reception area. One feature I love and hate about the hotel was that you needed your key card to enter your floor. I assume it was more for security reasons. We did enjoy our stay at the hotel, however, here come the cons. You cannot control the temperature of the room so if you're cold, layer up and if your hot, sleep naked. Rooms itself seemed a little small for two people. The room was very crowded when we both had two luggages. Wifi was shotty at times and we would get disconnected randomly. But since it was free, I guess I can't complain. And finally, the room is not sound proof at all. You can definitely hear what's happening outside the hotel, in your neighbor's room, and everything in the hallway. One would think that they would try to make the rooms sound proof especially given where the hotel is located. All in all, it was a fairly decent snag when thinking of the price and location. read more

This hotel is great! We hit Dublin at the end of our European tour and really need some good sleep and a comfy home. The hotel is right at the corner of Fleet Street, right where all the action is. I have to admit, I was skeptical when we checked in. We went into our room, and the bar attached to the hotel had a live band, and it was reverberating through our walls. Not to mention all the noise from the lively streets of Dublin. I had pretty much given up hope of getting any sleep at our stay here, but we asked the front desk to move our room- they were super nice and accomodating, and although they put us on the same street facing side, they gave us a higher room, and I have to say, this is the best nights sleep I had gotten on my entire holiday. The rooms here are extremely large for a small hotel - very spacious and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, big showers and bathrooms. And the loud music does stop before midnight. I really enjoyed my stay here, and would absolutely stay here again next time I am in Dublin. read more

Plusses are the best coffee /espresso machine I've ever seen(free) and they open a mini self serve bar in the lobby during the evening. Negatives are tiny, somewhat dirty rooms and definitely filled with loud partiers during the weekends. Solid location though. Just don't expect a normal hotel experience. read more

We couldn't be happier with our stay the last 6 nights at Fleet Street Hotel. We arrived at 6 am, exhausted from our international flight, and the hotel staff was extremely compassionate and understanding. They provided breakfast suggestions, some ideas to kill time around the city, and worked hard to get our rooms ready. The rest of our stay was equally as enjoyable. The staff was always wonderful. And you can't beat the location. The rooms were very standard in size as far as European hotels go. We did not feel too crowded with two sets of suitcases. And the noise at night was exactly what I would expect if I chose to stay in the nightlife area of a city. But even so, we never had trouble sleeping. If you want a hotel with a great location and staff that goes above and beyond, this is your place! read more
