Whiskey and ginger (rooftop bar)

The hotel has all the amenities needed when traveling. The room was incredibly comfortable and designed for the city. The staff makes this hotel five star plus. They are so incredibly accommodating and friendly and helpful. From the pub located in the lobby with tasty food and great drinks, to the rooftop bar with amazing views and great decor. I would recommend a quick walk across the street to the Teeling distillery. I will definitely be back.

Hey everybody it's a Marriott property that doesn't cost your end-of-rainbow bag of gold! You'll be close to the action yet tucked away from the madness here at Aloft. From a local, this was sketchyville back in the day, but real estate € eventually wins, so now you have a convenient hotel an easy walk from Temple and other attractions. The top-floor bar is nice for a drink/snack, and the rooms are smaller but decently-sized. Besides you'll want to head out for a night on the town anyway. Several restaurants are down the street if you want to venture out nearby, and the hotel also has nice meeting spaces if you're looking for that. Staff were helpful and service was efficient. I'll return next time I'm able.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet even though it was on the first floor. The fitness center is well maintained and equipped with everything you would need to exercise. The rooftop lounge is beautiful with couches and private seating areas. The bar has a nice variety of cocktails . The hotel is a bit of a walk to the city center but it's not bad. It seems less hectic and crowded around the area.

A very new, modern Aloft in the Liberties area of Dublin. We had two different rooms during two brief stays at this Aloft in Dublin. Arrival experience: Arrived by cab. The porter and luggage storage is on the ground floor. Check-in is on the 7th floor. Average check-in experience. Acknoweldged Marriott status. Room 618: Not a huge room but efficient layout and overall nice. King bed, TV, Nespresso coffee maker and all the normal items for a room. Small but well-lit bathroom with a single sink vanity. Room 114: The only suite in the Aloft. Nice size with sitting area with large desk, king bed, and plenty of space. Nespresso coffee maker and all the normal items for a room. Bathroom was a very odd configuration with insufficient lighting in the shower. Also the toilet flushing mechanism broke twice during our two nights in this suite (poor design). One word of caution about room 114- it's just above street level and traffic noise comes through the windows with ease. Staff: overall nice staff Restaurant: On 7th floor, breakfast only dining. Decent breakfast was included with our room based on Marriott status. There's also a full service restaurant attached to the hotel. Bar: There's a bar on the 7th floor. Didn't try it. Value: hotels in Dublin are not inexpensive. On a global scale, it's more expensive than average, but for Dublin the Aloft was the best value we could locate. Misc: (1) Good proximity to all the major tourist attractions in Dublin. Easy walk to the Chester Beatty Museum, St. Patrick's Cathedral, etc. (2) About a 35 minute drive from the airport. (3) Very close to two distilleries- Teeling and Dublin Liberties Distillery.

Teeling Distillery is around the corner

The location is better than we expected. The Guiness Storehouse is a short walk away and the Teeling Distillery is on the way. St. Patrick's Cathedral, Temple Bar and the University are also not too far away. We walked everywhere, except for one night when we were dressed for dinner and took an uber. It was easy and fairly cheap to get an Uber from the airport to the hotel and back again. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. I have no complaints. The rooftop bar has a great view of the city and serves a great Guinness. We also at at the gastropub and I recommend the Fish and Chips. The berry crumble dessert was also very delicious.

Fantastic hotel near city center. Aloft hotels sure have a different layout, concierge on bottom floor, but reception somewhere else. Very comfortable rooms, nice style and all necessary amenities.fabulous view over the distillery. Breakfast was incredible as well. Superior service throughout our stay.

Sink in the Dublin Aloft suite on 1st floor

The Aloft is located in the Liberties part of Dublin. It is an area that is being refreshed in my opinion. It is located near two distilleries: Dubliner and Teeling. Dubliner is literally across the street. Teeling is up the street and around the corner. Spar is a local convenience store and that is close by too. We walked all over Dubliner from this hotel. Checkin is the 7th floor. Reservation 1: I booked the Urban Aloft Suite Arrival: We booked this hotel twice. We had a stop in Dublin and then had to go to another hotel in the country and we were returning before leaving Ireland. Our flights were delayed and then canceled, we were able to cancel our reservation for the Aloft, but Aloft said sorry, we have to charge you. Which sucked but we get it. Our flight arrived to Dublin at 11am and we coordinated with the hotel to come since we paid for the room to freshen up. They gave us the room until 2pm. We got showered and jumped into a taxi to our next destination. We were thankful to get the room for 2 hours to shower, but 2 hours at the price of 300 Euros was not the best deal. We are Marriott Lifetime Platinum members so I think that is why they allowed us the room for 4 hours. Room: On the 6th floor with a nice view of a rooftop garden. The room had a nice king size bed which did not use. We jumped into the shower and go freshed up and had some coffee with the lovely Nespresso machine in the room. NOTE: It was not until we returned for the 2nd reservation that I realized the room we were given for 2 hours was not the Urban Aloft Suite. Reservation 2: I booked the Urban Aloft Suite Arrival: we arrived by taxi and the employees that were there on our 2 hour hotel visit were working again. They remembered us and welcomed us back. the tall black gentlemen on the first floor is super sweet and friendly and I forgot his name. He is the only employee that stands out at this hotel. The Urban Aloft Suite is the only one at the hotel so we arrived and were told we had to wait. It would be about 10 minutes and we asked if we could leave our luggage on the 7th floor desk area so that we could run down to the Dubliner distillery across the street. They said no problem. We went to the distillery and it was no more than 15 minutes and we were back, went to the 7th floor to get our room key and were told our luggage was sent to the lobby. We had just come from there! We could have grabbed our luggage. Room: What a nice big room but it is located on the first room. There is no staircase to get 1 flight of stairs, so you have to take the elevator. I finally found the stairs, but the door is Emergency exit and alarm will sound, so we had to walk back up and use the elevator. The room has a lovely sitting area with nice big couch. Nice desk area. Lots of windows, but everyone can see into your room from the street. There is no privacy during the day, so you have two sets of blinds, one for privacy and one for bright early morning sun rising. The King size bed is not very comfortable, but it is big. Plus being on the 1st floor there is so much road noise and sleep quality is not the best. I prefer the smaller suite on the 6th floor because I think that would be better sleep quality. There is a nice Nespresso coffee machine. There is a fridge but you cannot use it. It will charge you if you pick up an item. There is an inroom safe, read the instructions because it does come locked and you have to read the instructions to use it. Bathroom: Nice long walkway to the toilet and shower, but it is very dark. The shower is super dark, but it is nice and spacious. The toilet has its own room, but twice the toilet flushing unit fell into the wall and we had to get maintenance to come and fix it. The sink is nice, but shallow so you end up spraying water everywhere and the lighting is very bad so hard to apply makeup. I recommend if you need light to go into the bedroom and open the blinds. Each room comes with a bucket for ice, but there is no ice to be found anywhere in the building. I called and you have to go to the bar on the 7th floor and wait in line with everyone ordering drinks. Customer Service: needs improvement. There is a lack of communication to customers. You have to ask alot of questions from the 7th floor about the hotel to get information. When we called about our safe, they were not the friendliest and told us.. you did not read the instructions. The instructions were there, but you cannot read when there is bad lighting in the room and the font is so tiny. Breakfast: we are Marriott Lifetime Platinum so we opted for the free breakfast instead of points. The coffee is good. There was hot Irish breakfast. The presentation is very cute. The hot items weren't very hot. The fruit was not very good mostly canned fruit. The pastries were under baked. The Irish yogurt was delicious and my treat.

Downstairs lobby. Go to 7th floor to check in

We had an incredible 4-night stay at this hotel. As others have stated, the check-in desk is on the 7th floor, which is unique. There was always a person at the hotel concierge desk on the ground floor to point new guests in the right direction. Once you arrive on the 7th floor, the spectacular view makes it clear why they chose to have check in, breakfast area, and the bar on that floor. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy but had all we needed. My only minor complaints would be lacking light in the room and our original room (before immediately asking for the other side of building) had windows that were directly facing and a mere few feet away from student housing windows. It was incredibly awkward and a tad claustrophobic. We were immediately and patiently given another room across the hall. Not sure what some of the reviews are talking about with the "off the beaten path" location. We found the location to be central and walkable to many tourist attractions (Dublin Castle, Christ Church, Teeling Distillery, Vicar Street for shows, etc) and is super close to public transit, which is cheap and easily accessible. A few tips: -Always have your room key handy, as you need to tap it on the elevator scanner to get to any floors other than 1 or 7. -The ground floor pub has won local awards -Ice needs to be requested at the check-in desk -Do not remove/move items in the mini-bar fridge (even if not consuming them), as it triggers a charge on your bill -Spar corner store is a short walk down the road and you can easily/cheaply buy public transit passes at the counter. -Request a room facing the city, not student housing.

The bar and lounge. There's a fireplace and seating wraps around to the right, including rooftop outdoor seating.

This hotel is a new favorite. Sleek and modern, but also exuding a comfortable warmth. I also enjoyed the music selection. The staff is exceptionally friendly, efficient and helpful. A huge "thumbs up" to the breakfast room staff, who coordinate expert service, delicious food and the traffic flow for seating with incredible ease. The front desk and bar staff are also especially worthy of commendation. The room features comfortable bedding and a large bathroom. My only suggestions would be for better storage. The closet is very limited as is shelf space, which makes it difficult if you are on a long trip with a good amount of luggage. The TV reception would freeze at times too. Other than that, Aloft Dublin City is one of the best hotel choices in my opinion.

Beautiful views from the 7th floor

Compared to other hotels in the City Center, Dublin Aloft is a great choice if you're willing to walk a bit away from the action. Pro: - The most affordable choice for Bonvoy seekers - 7th floor is beautiful, with an outdoor deck, 360 views of the city (though Dublin doesn't really have a skyline) - Wonderful bartenders and general staff - Clean, modern rooms - Attached hotel restaurant downstairs is awesome Cons: - It is a 20 minute walk from Grafton Street and all the action. - Some less than ideal views of construction. If you get a south side, you get a view directly into student housing. - East side views of an empty parking lot with trash The views and location aren't something this hotel can really control, so it is unfair to discount Aloft too much. Other notes: - I've spent about 2 months in Dublin this year, and stayed in hotels the entire time. - Aloft and AC are my go to Marriott Brands. This Aloft ranks very high compared to the other locations.

We recently stayed here and enjoyed our stay. Located a short walk from the city centre of Dublin this is a modern hotel with bright colors, modern rooms and good service. The room was nice and had a fabulous bed. Nice towels and bathrobes were provided and the shower was also nice. The room had a small mini bar and supplies up make coffee and tea. Unfortunately they were inconsistent with replenishing supplies and we ended up with no milk and bottled water. Continental breakfast here is nice but the cooked Irish breakfast was chewy and tough as it had been precooked and sitting under heat lamps for too long. Why they cannot cook to order us beyond me. Staff are very friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay here. Would come back again.

The view from our room at the Aloft Dublin.

Not a great experience here, delayed room check in, luggage took forever to be bought up. Very expensive drinks €28 for vodka and tonic. Our room overlooked a dump, there are way better hotel options in the city. No satisfaction or compensation for my complaint even though I'm a Bonvoy member (manager wouldn't even give me a few points to placate me), meh.

We arrived from an overnight flight at roughly 9:30 a.m. and they were still prepping rooms but they stored our luggage and recommended a location to grab something to eat which was very good. Upon returning about 45 minutes later our room was ready and we found the room to be meticulous with a very comfy king bed, mini fridge, tv, and ample size bathroom. I saw a few other reviews that stated the bathroom doors would not stay open but I learned that is by design and we just asked for an extra towel that we used to prop the door open when needed. It serves to point out that the entire hotel is under a complete remodel so many of the rooms and features of the hotel are shinny new. They do offer breakfast in the morning and for the evening they do have a restaurant and bar. Just walk out the front door if you want a livelier crowd and more restaurant options The location of the hotel is prime as it offers proximity the River Liffey, plenty of shops, pubs, and attractions. We walked to the Jameson (25 min walk) and Guinness (30 min walk) factories as it also gave us the ability to take in things along the walk. You are close to Trinity College and both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals. lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff, Anne at the front desk was a warm and inviting pleasure and very professional, Marvin the concierge and bellman was super helpful and pleasantly informative, the house staff was attentive and always looking to make sure we were comfortable. The Brooks comes with my highest recommendation.

This made it easy for us as we could continue exploring according to our plan (we took a 30 minute train ride over to Howth right after dropping our bags). Coming back to the hotel around 5pm, our room was ready and we were able to nap a bit before dinner. The superior room we booked was located in a renovated section of the hotel and had access to a shared outdoor patio right across from our hotel room. We didn't have time to use the patio but it was spacious and it seemed no one was using it whenever we passed by. Our hotel room was very clean, large (great for us as we had plenty of luggage) and we had two complementary water bottles in the room. We had breakfast the next morning and it was buffet style. There is a section if you want fresh made omelettes. Lots of variety I think but I stuck with the classic Irish breakfast items. So delicious and fresh! Check out process - we had a bit of a hiccup as I had given my credit card for authorization for breakfast charges when I checked in. The staff was asking for my credit card again which confused me as I had already paid.
