4/13/23 - arrived very early and the room wasn't ready at noon. Dropped off baggage and explored the city. Hotel is very close to all the shopping around here. At 2pm they text the room was available we never removed the text. Room was very nice and no problems. Total of 5 stars. See photos.

We had an amazing stay here while we were in Dublin! We stayed here for 6 nights and it was fantastic. This was my first time in Europe so I thought staying at a Hilton property would make me slightly more comfortable. It's located right near Temple Bar across the river, so it's a quick walk to pretty much anywhere in Dublin. But it's also not too close to Temple Bar so it's quieter at night. It's close to a Tesco as well for any snacks or groceries you need for the room. We got to the hotel around 9 am and were surprised that our room was already ready and we got a complimentary upgrade! The room is very modern and they do have USB outlets but I'd recommend bringing a plug converter as well. Due to covid they aren't doing housekeeping everyday but you can schedule it with the front desk. I enjoyed the complimentary refillable water bottles and the fully stocked mini bar. The hotel also has a bar, restaurant, and a gym. I didn't get a chance to use them but during covid you have to make reservations everywhere, including the gym. Room service is offered as well. Our stay happened to fall over American Thanksgiving so we came back to a surprise Thanksgiving dessert in the room and chocolates for being a Hilton Honors member. So thoughtful!

I love you Morrison Hotel. Your afternoon tea restored me and your decor inspired me. So central to the city! I would like to stay here next time I visit.

We stayed in four places while in Ireland, and The Morrison was by far the most comfortable! The great experience started when we arrived early to drop off our bags. Darren at the front desk was extremely personable and gave us each a water bottle and a large, tasty chocolate chip cookie to bring with us as we explored Dublin. When we came back at night, our bags were in our room. The room was modern and spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and there was toggleable mood lighting. Other amenities included a medium sized TV, writing desk, small couch, and a minibar fridge. The free WiFi worked well. The bathroom was functional. Shower pressure was good. There was a dual-voltage outlet for shavers (but you still need an adapter if your shaver doesn't use the Ireland/UK plug). The only things I didn't like about the bathroom were that the button on the wall to flush the toilet required a lot of force to press, and the sink drained very slowly. The fitness center was fairly small, featuring 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, an exercise bike, 1 weight machine, 2 benches, and free weights up to 22kg (48 pounds). People don't come to The Morrison to work out! But people do come here to eat. There are two breakfast buffet options: continental at €15 and full at €19.50. The full buffet includes the continental bar and lets you order additional things from a small menu. We opted for the full buffet and got a €3 discount for booking it the day before. The continental buffet bar included eggs, bacon, sausage, potato boxty, grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, and muffins and fruit. The menu for the full buffet had omelettes, eggs Benedict, French toast, smoked salmon and pancakes. We tried mostly everything, and the quality of the food was very good. The lady at checkout was also very friendly, offering to give us the weather report and call us a cab. Our stay was free thanks for credit card points; otherwise, the price would've been around $300 USD per night. All the other places in Ireland we stayed at were way cheaper, but if you want terrific service and a comfortable experience, The Morrison is where it's at!

Great location in the heart of Dublin, near the river and the Temple Bar. Easy access to the tram system and lots of points of interest in Dublin. The staff is very nice and courteous. The bar staff can make great martinis which is a plus. The rooms are a good size, which makes your stay very nice specially if you stay for a while in Dublin. Great food at the restaurant and bar. The managers go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Fresh apples in the lobby every day and you can also ask for a freshly baked cookie. Water in the room every day a full mini bar with low prices. Overall a great experience here.

From beginning to end our visit here was wonderful. The staff in each Dept was just amazing. They each go out of their way to help and make you feel special. Breakfast is beyond words. The Guinness bread is relish! The grilled tomatoes delightful. The made to order cappuccinos a reason to wake up. Beds are comfy and water in your room. They will give you an adapter with deposit as long as it is returned. Our room was always promptly cleaned and when we needed extra help for a tour the front desk staff more than accommodated. I will tell you I live in a hotel 4 of the 7 days a week. I often see it all. The good the bad and definitely the ugly. This is one of my favorites. It was a sincere pleasure to stay where they really seem to care. Lastly Location Location Location!! Best location ever! Close to Temple Bar but far enough you don't hear them party all night. Walking distance to Grafton St, Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Guinness.

Huge fan of The Morrison after the recent refurbishment. Great hip atmosphere on the North side of the Liffey across from Temple Bar. This property is now a Doubletree which is owned by Hilton which means you get points if your an HHonors member and a warm chocolate chip cookie when you arrive (even after midnight as was my case one time!). Before the Morrison used to be very dark and run-down version of a W-hotel, but now it is exceptionally clean, bright, and airy. The walls are white with subtle hints of purple. Each room has its own wifi router, which is a nice perk. Wifi is free. There is also a nice cocktail bar lounge up a half stair-case off the lobby. The gym is a bit disappointing, not much going outside of cardio even if the loft space is nice. All in, kudos to the Morrison on the renovation, you've been re-added to my short-list of fun Dublin hotels.

Gentleman's Afternoon Tea!
Kayleigh C.

Soooo, I read about The Morrison's 'Gentleman's Afternoon Tea' online one day and had two thoughts... 1. The name is slightly sexist and 2. It sounds delicious! So I got over myself and decided I'd give it a go! The Morrison itself is really nice, the eating area is through the main door to the right so you have all the energy of the hotel while still being separate enough to enjoy your food in peace. I noticed that the Gentleman's Afternoon Tea wasn't on the menu so I asked our waiter who explained that it's relatively new so will be added to the new menu when that's created. I also highlighted my reservations about the name and the waiter said this was feedback he had also received from other women who felt that this version of afternoon tea was more up their street than the traditional version...my thoughts exactly! So, what do you get you ask? Ok, here goes... A mini steak sandwich with coleslaw, mini burger with tomato relish, paprika chips, sausage on a stick with pickles and jalapeños, a savoury bacon, cheese and onion scone, a salted caramel and biscuit dessert, whiskey chocolate mousse in an edible chocolate cup and a pint of IPA. Phew! And the price? A steal at €23! Everything was presented beautifully on a wooden board and I couldn't really fault it, either in terms of presentation or value for money. I wouldn't say it was the best burger or steak sandwich I've ever had but the sausage and desserts were particular highlights. And anyway, even with traditional Afternoon Tea there's always going to be elements you prefer over others isn't there? Would I recommend it? Yes! One criticism I have, however, is the fact that servers were at out table every few minutes. They were really friendly and the service was really efficient but one in particular kept coming back asking if we were ready for a "real drink" a number of times, even after we told him we were happy with the drinks we had. This was offputting, I have to be honest.

Ready for gentlemans afternoon tea with rugby!
Ellen S.

Previously been here for the classic afternoon tea which I enjoyed a lot. This time round we tried their new offer: Gentleman's afternoon tea. It looked amazing on paper, and I barely ate all day to save my hunger for the feast that was about to come. When we arrived (it was a special occasion as they had put the big screen out to watch the 6 nations) we were being sat at a corner table, right in front of a huge statue, which blocked most of our view. Not much rugby watching to be done, so we focussed on the food. We ordered, and the afternoon tea came out literally 1 minute later. Definitely NOT MADE fresh so! Here's what we had: -beef slider (really small and dry), steak 'sandwich' (same little bun as the slider, only with a dry piece of steak),sausage with pickles (this was okay), cheese/ bacon scone (so dry, that one bite I had to chew forever to be able to swallow- did not finish) and fries (they were lukewarm - I dare say almost cold) -the desserts were slightly better, a little chocolate mousse pot and salted caramel pot Come on Morrison! You can do way better than this! I understand it was a busy day with many visitors for the rugby. But we were meant to be there for 2+ hours for the match, so no need to rush. I rather had waited 30 minutes and get some fresh food rather than this sad excuse of dry and cold food. It was 25€ (including a pint), but no way in the world that this afternoon tea was worth 20 quid. *insert sad face*

For the price, my hotel room smelled awful and it was super noisy from the HVAC outside. I would take the noise of Temple Bar over that. I wasn't really impressed with the decor. Everything was plain and bland. It lacked charm. It was ok but I will look for another option on my next Dublin trip.

We arrived from an overnight flight at roughly 9:30 a.m. and they were still prepping rooms but they stored our luggage and recommended a location to grab something to eat which was very good. Upon returning about 45 minutes later our room was ready and we found the room to be meticulous with a very comfy king bed, mini fridge, tv, and ample size bathroom. I saw a few other reviews that stated the bathroom doors would not stay open but I learned that is by design and we just asked for an extra towel that we used to prop the door open when needed. It serves to point out that the entire hotel is under a complete remodel so many of the rooms and features of the hotel are shinny new. They do offer breakfast in the morning and for the evening they do have a restaurant and bar. Just walk out the front door if you want a livelier crowd and more restaurant options The location of the hotel is prime as it offers proximity the River Liffey, plenty of shops, pubs, and attractions. We walked to the Jameson (25 min walk) and Guinness (30 min walk) factories as it also gave us the ability to take in things along the walk. You are close to Trinity College and both St Patrick's and Christ Church Cathedrals. lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff, Anne at the front desk was a warm and inviting pleasure and very professional, Marvin the concierge and bellman was super helpful and pleasantly informative, the house staff was attentive and always looking to make sure we were comfortable. The Brooks comes with my highest recommendation.

It was delightful to come home to each evening. Experience: 1. They will tidy your room everyday 2. Turn down service begins around 6 pm (they will get your slipper, robe, bed, water and chocolate ready for nighttime) 3. Their small guest room includes a king size bed that is superbly fluffy. 4. The deluxe guest room has a deep tub for soaking Staff: The entire front desk staff is very helpful, welcoming and efficient. Marta was especially helpful and kind throughout my stay! As for the porters were just right with their assistance. I did always feel bad that I had not gotten any Euro on my trip, but I will mention Karl was fantastic! Always helpful and nice to talk with. Michele in the health center was informative and helped me find all of the rooms for their current gym as it's under renovation. Facilities: They have a 5 star spa on site that includes one of the best relaxation rooms I have experienced in the world. It's the view and seating that make it amazing. They give you a blanket, fruit, spa water -- all while looking over st. Stephen's park... bliss! (I went on a rainy day which added to the ambiance) The facial with Elemis product was my favorite. PRO TIP! if you're from the states and liked Elemis, there is now an Elemis outlet store at Kildare Village, which is a short train ride away. I made it there in 35 minutes. DINING: Again, 5 star experience and the restaurant is always packed. Chef makes superb food and I thoroughly enjoyed the room service of fish and chips. TONS of fish, perfectly battered and fried. If I could give the shelbourne a 10 out of 5 I would.

It is in a convenient location nearby many tourist attractions, such as Temple Bar, Dublin's castle, St Patrick's Cathedral, etc. it was also a short walking distance to our car rental pick up at St Stephen's Green shopping centre. We booked this hotel for the first day of our trip. We arrived in the morning so our room wasn't ready for check in yet, but we were able to drop off our luggage in the lobby. This made it easy for us as we could continue exploring according to our plan (we took a 30 minute train ride over to Howth right after dropping our bags). Coming back to the hotel around 5pm, our room was ready and we were able to nap a bit before dinner. The superior room we booked was located in a renovated section of the hotel and had access to a shared outdoor patio right across from our hotel room. We didn't have time to use the patio but it was spacious and it seemed no one was using it whenever we passed by. Our hotel room was very clean, large (great for us as we had plenty of luggage) and we had two complementary water bottles in the room. We had breakfast the next morning and it was buffet style. There is a section if you want fresh made omelettes. Lots of variety I think but I stuck with the classic Irish breakfast items. So delicious and fresh! Check out process - we had a bit of a hiccup as I had given my credit card for authorization for breakfast charges when I checked in. The staff was asking for my credit card again which confused me as I had already paid. Despite the confusion, the service at Radisson was great and I would definitely recommend this hotel for fellow tourists!
