I can tell that the technician was inexperienced because I told him what shape I wanted and had to show a photo. Even after that, somehow all of my nails ended up in different shapes. Even different sizes too because they were not measured/compared. I don't know what's up with the 50/20% signs up outside, but it was $41 for a gel full set. I made an appt at 5:30 came in a bit early and they took me at my appt time. I asked for a completely new set, which meant i had to soak my old acrylics off. That took maybe an hour-ish so they didnt get started until maybe 7ish. I was thinking about leaving honestly just because i was going to be here forever and I had just gotten off of work... but I stayed anyway. I dont remember her name but the nail tech was sweet to me. She took her time on my nails. She also called me pretty lol. I did a gel full set with a beautiful light pink color. Im glad i stayed she did a wonderful job! It was 50 all together. This is a relatively new nail salon in the area and is tucked away in a busy strip by the giant grocery store. The space is huge with plenty of pedicure stations and a few mani stations. It's very clean and the staff is friendly and polite, and will do a very thorough job on your services. I came in late on a Sunday night and the ladies were kind enough to stay later than their usual close time to finish my pedi and didn't rush through it at all. The prices are very reasonable and pretty much the same as most nail salons in the area. My only gripe with the place would be that it's a little too big and sparce making it rather chilly to sit there while we wait for our services and there are very limited options of nail polish colors other than that this is could be your new go to nail salon. read more

Not the best customer service to start off. I had to repeat myself a few times for how I wanted my nails. I wanted them a medium length and she cut the acrylic nail to short at first. I picked out a darker color and she pointed to a light green color and said ' get younger color' . I told her I like dark colors especially for Halloween. I only had my nails on for a week and 2 nails already broke. I always get acrylic nails and I know they don't break that easily. Alright, I came here on 7/11/17 to get a new gel manicure. I decided to give this place a chance since it was closer to home then where I normally go. It wasn't the worst nail place I have been, but it definitely wasn't the best. The Positive: Kathy, who did my nails was by far the nicest manicurist I have ever had. The facility was also VERY clean which I really appreciate. They also offer a huge selection of gel colors which I like. The Negative: I told Kathy to cut my nails because I like them on the shorter side...She cut them down to child like nubs. You know that feeling you get on your finger tips when you break a nail off and you can feel all of the bare fresh skin? Ya, that's how my fingers/nails feel right now. On top of that she really did a crappy job at cleaning up my cuticles. When I got home and really looked at the work she did I was super disappointed. She didn't get rid of hangnails or anything. On top of that she didn't paint my full nail which drives me insane. It looks like the nail polish has already been on for a week and my nails have grown some because she missed so much space. She also spent almost my whole manicure on the phone dealing with some personal issues. The fact that she was on the phone didn't bother me that much, but it definitely caused her to not do as good of a job. If you want a REALLY good experience for the same price go to Acuspa in Potomac. Everyone there is AMAZING and they all pay so much attention to detail. They also always have 20% off Monday-Wednesday. Each manicure includes a nice shoulder massage as well. I never have to correct anyone at Acuspa and I never leave disappointed. First time I went there to get gel manicure, nail polish came out with in a week. It was not even applied evenly. So when I went into show it to the manager she gave me a $10 discount and got Michelle to reapply . Omg! It was a bad experience. She was very rough and while taking off the nail polish she hurt me a number of times and not once did she apologize. She applied the Nail polish leaving the area all around the nails and I had to go back to the store again to get it fixed . Some of the nail polish was Smudged. Again no apologies but had an attitude while doing it. Never will I go again. I have no idea how people are raving about this place. Good for them that they had a good experience. read more

These ladies are always so attentive and take their time! The place is new and everything is very clean. I convinced my mother to go with me to get acrylics and she's extremely picky about who does her nails and she had nothing to say but great things. Her nails looked fantastic and when she went back home to California, she said she had tons of people asking where she got them done since the polish stayed shiny and the shape was great. I got acrylics for the first time in my life here and they held up for about 3 weeks before I decided it was time to take them off. Pics below. If you're debating coming here, definitely try it out! I have been here I think 4 times now. Every time has been at least "just fine" with some experiences better than others--in my opinion the pedicure is the best offering! I'd say simple is best here - I haven't loved my acrylics' shapes that I've gotten here for a example. but when I've gotten just a gel mani on my natural nails it came out great. But my pedicure was really awesome. I got the regular pedicure but it felt like a lot more pampering than your typical pedi; I felt so relaxed after the hot towel especially! My toenails look great and it was only $27. Service is always attentive albeit sometimes slow. Overall i think merry nails is a solid middle ground salon with reasonable prices, and a fabulous pedicure. read more

The place is the best I've found in this county! One lady, I didn't get her name took my neglected nails from a hot mess to the best they've been, seriously flawless. She shaped and buffed my nails to smooth perfection and had my cuticles looking like I hardly use my hands. I have tried so many times. I'm done. I got a pedi and gel mani a few months ago. It cost me 80 bucks. It was the worst pedi I have ever received. I asked for hot water. She ignored me. I asked for hotter water and she stared. I asked fir a 3rd time and she turned the temp up to slightly above lukewarm. They use a cheese grater and there was still dead skin visible. I asked her to file some more. She was so light handed I gave up, and used my pumice at home. I got the spa pedi with a massage. I did actually get a sugar scrub, and hot towel but not even close to a massage. This last time...decided to get a full set. I guess she used tips that are too wide for my nail beds. The acrylic is so thick. I am annoyed looking at them. If any one knows a better place in Montgomery Co. Let me know. read more

I was in major need of getting my nails done and my eyebrows needed to be rescued! I went into Merrys Nails, because it was close to my job and also because they were new and wanted to try them out! First of the place is nice big and clean, even the chairs are comfortable. I was greeted by Kathy and she's the one that took care of me! She was wonderful! I'm very picky with my nails even to the shape and she did everything I asked! She pays attention to detail and takes her time and you can tell she's a perfectionist! And was very gentle! After she did my eyebrows and boy did I need them done, I mean they were awful and she made me feel better that she would fix and clean them up for me. She even shaped them out the way they should have been and cleaned them up real nice! The pricing was great and they still have their 20% off going on! I have been going here for about 2 months. I usually go to Tom, who is great! However, recently I went to a different nail tech because I was leaving for vacation and Tom wasn't working that day. I am so disappointed in my experience. The nail tech was distracted by another patron most of the time, filing my nails but not even looking at them. At one point, I had to pull my foot away as she was very rough with my cuticles. After she painted my toe nails, we walked over to do the gel manicure. I looked down and there was so much polish on the skin around my toe nails. She had to use the brush and polish remover for every toe. Keep in mind, had I not pointed it out, she would have left it like that. 3 days after I got my manicure and pedicure, my toe nail polish was already chipping. After 4, my gel nail polish was chipping. Since I was on vacation, I could not go in to get it fixed. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience for me. read more

When I first started coming to Merry Nails I had nails chewed down. They educated me on the dip nails to strengthen and grow my nails. The technician Amy told me a few times and my nails will be strong and long. I've been coming here now for 5 months I now have long natural nails no more fake acrylic painful nails. Don't get me wrong I use to love getting acrylic done but my nails were very damaged and my fingers were paining me from having them done so often. Now I have no pain and my nails are healthy and the service is of much better quality. I also love the peaceful atmosphere and the cleanliness of the shop.
