A year later I had decided not to update last year's review until the owner, Nick Merrill, sealed the deal with his erratic behavior. He gave me a 3,000 word agreement contract for 7 visits of regular pest control, which I fulfilled. The contract threatened me with facing his arbitration panel if I did not obey his terms. The contract distinctly said that I must provide 30 days written notice to cancel his services. I sent him a certified letter and notified him via email that the letter was waiting for him at the post office. He emailed me back and said the notice must have been lost at his home, but that he would pick up the letter. I even had the letter redelivered. After three weeks, he refused to pick up the letter, which I found quite disrespectful, dishonest, and unprofessional. The post office has returned said letter to me. He even went so far as to say that he doesn't give customers contracts, even though I had one in my hand with his company name on it. Disingenuous lying. Disgraceful, immature behavior on his part. Unfortunately, Nick Merrill's words do not match his actions. A year ago he told me that my separate termite treatment of $1,000 would have a warranty of 2 years, then $150 renewal fee each year thereafter. I even wrote this info in my will documentation as a creditor so my fiduciary would be aware of this expense, and also so that I could set aside enough money each week to have enough funds to support it when the payments became due. A year later, Merrill stated that his notes were different than mine. I decided to cancel all pest services, termite and regular, due to this discrepancy. He later said he would honor the 2 year warranty on termite control to keep me as a customer, but due to his distasteful, belligerent behavior, I decided that I did not want to do business with him anymore. When someone shows you who they really are, believe them. He claimed he is a "man of the people." What a laugh that is. I guess he thought he could get away with this because I am elderly, but I am way too wise for his scams. read more

I had a worker show up at my house and ring the doorbell and I did not answer and he continued to stand there for 10+ minutes then probably assumed no one was home and let himself in through my backyard gate and tried to get in my back door !!! I was scared and jumped in my car to try to drive away and then see him getting in his van and I felt safe enough being in my car to ask him why he was in my home and at first he would not look at me and then he said I work here. Which to preface my roommate works at a pest company and we have a different company NOT THEM. I told him he does not and who did he speak to and he wouldn't tell me and then said I was supposed to be here which he was not. I drove off and called the phone number on the van and got the owner who was a complete animal to me with not a customer service bone in his body making fun of me that I was " scared " this man came in my backyard ( trespassing!!!) I said who set up the appointment and he had no answer and I said why would you show up at someone's home if you didn't have an appointment or don't know the owner then he asked who's the owner and I said why would I tell you and he proceeded to say a man's name which my land lord is a woman HA. Best pest control service in the valley! We moved to Florence, and Merrill Pest Solutions did not shy away from our location like other services have. We have a new build, so keeping critters at bay has been our priority. Our first treatment was in January 2024, and we had our second this month in February. I am happy to share that our home has zero bugs inside. We live on a street with dirt lots on both sides of our home and heavy construction all around the street. I am also highly impressed with the customer service. I prefer texting; the owner/representatives are very professional and quick to respond. The pricing is fair, considering all the areas they include and the quality of the spray. We did our first two months back-to-back, and then we will receive treatment every two months, keeping the same monthly price. I can't recommend this company enough. He offered such insight about the best termite prevention and treatment efforts, and patiently explained to all of us the differences in method based on how the houses were built.
