Quick response even after initial communication. Set appointment with Mike. Called to let me know he was running late and would be to my place in about 45 minutes, still within the time frame originally set up. Mike brought his boss, Brian. Took them around the outside perimeter then Mike inspected internal house for termites. Luckily, no penetration. Chatted with Brian and Mike and felt good vibes from them both about the next steps. Already have an appointment for tomorrow to treat termite potential around perimeter of home. Very professional, easy to understand, moved quickly to relieve my stress level at seeing mud tubes on base of house. Thank you guys!!! It's the next day now and Tony and Ian, scheduled to arrive at 1:30, texted me that they were running ahead of schedule. Asked if it was okay to come sooner. 20 minutes later and they arrived to treat my home. They dug the trenches around my home, as necessary. Took about 30 minutes or so. Professional and efficient. Urban Desert Pest Control Michael Gallagher was excellent, contacted me when he was planning to arrive and was there at that time. He explained his plan for spraying the inside based on the discussion with the problem areas. He first started at the front door inside, sprayed the threshold as I opened the door in between the front door and security door, saturated it very well. Then began all along the interior walls, bedrooms, master bath where it was a main problem area, continued throughout the hallways and rooms that were accessible. I had purposely backed out all 3 cars in the garage and Michael sprayed all the accessible walls plus the door areas into the house and especially at the step up where the cars are parked in the garage. He replaced the 6 glue traps, 2 at the door leading into the house, 2 at the single car garage door and 2 at the double car garage door and completed the inside. Michael then put down the ant granulates in front on the trouble area room window on the rock landscaping, then prepared the outside insect solution and sprayed the front of the house, he explained that spraying over the ant granulates would activate the grandulates with the moisture. Spraying along the side of the house to the back, he sprayed around the back side walls, then around the pool, back walls and then all along the outside accessible areas and completed around the back patio threshold and back along to the front of the house. We had been experiencing issues with small ants and that issue has gotten better, currently experiencing many crickets, pinch bugs or earwigs. Michael sprayed everywhere to hopefully build a nice barrier to get rid of the insects. Great job Michael Gallagher! read more

We had been hearing scampering on our roof randomly throughout the day and night so were concerned about roof rats, especially since the noises seemed to be coming from our AC vents. We'd jumped up on the flat roof a few times and hadn't been able to get any sightings. Along with this, we found a dead black widow, so we decided it was time and had Urban Desert Pest Control come out. The great news was no evidence of roof rats! The even better news was that instead of charging us for placing traps anyway, Urban Desert Pest Control realized that our "pet" squirrels that live in our backyard were probably getting up there to play and placed some filters over vents to prevent the squirrels from getting into the vents. We have been with Urban Pest Control for almost 6 years. We have had Tony service our home, and he is fantastic, he is thorough. Talk about customer service from a company, he is the face of Urban Pest Control, and he definitely is customer service oriented. He always has a smile and has a positive attitude. If there is an issue he wants to make sure it is taken care of and done the right way. We have had a few other occasion of other service techs and none of them compare at all. They are not thorough, they speed through things. They ask if there are issues and thats it. Tony makes sure it is done correctly. I also, have to say, that I am always impressed with Tony's work. He uses the hose and not a little backpack sprayer. This is a big thing for us. This is extremely important for us. That makes the world of difference for us. I can not begin to emphasize how much I appreciate that over the little backpacks. For the company side. I appreciate their follow up, their attention do detail, their billing system, and their honesty. I have nothing but good things to say. The only thing I will say, is get rid of the A.I. on the phones, get rid of the backpacks for the outside work and go back to all techs having the hoses. It really makes the world of difference. We've used Urban Desert for years and love them! They are so throughout and easy to work with

First, I will admit the products they use are effective. They encouraged scorpions and creepy critters to leave our hillside house that had been unoccupied for months before we moved in. But the pricing was initially not cheap- and it got even more expensive, as the written contract was different than what the initial sales verbal agreement was. I didn't catch that, which admittedly is on me- I had requested a price per service/treatment, and that number seemed reasonable. Instead I was charged that monthly. In addition to only getting bi-monthly service. So- what I thought I would pay per service turned out to be a monthly fee when they come every other month. Essentially doubling the price of each service. When I complained that it was not what I had agreed to, I argued with a service manager- who would not budge on pricing. I asked it to be discussed with higher ups, and never heard back for weeks. Instead I got another monthly charge for a no-service month and I got mad. I went to cancel service, and I was told there would be a $99 contract cancellation fee. I had to fight to have that waived. I will not use this company again! If you choose to- read that contract with a fine attention to detail because they treat it as set in stone, and never in customer's favor. read more

We found this company on Yelp and called them when we discovered a small termite infestation on a wooden staircase indoors. They were quick to respond, and gave me an appointment about a week out. When I said I was concerned about leaving it too long, they bumped it up, which I really appreciated. The guy who did the evaluation was quick and efficient and found two spots that needed to be treated. We scheduled the treatment for a few days later, and they actually arrived early (after asking if it was ok). Communication is top notch with these guys. They treated the areas quickly and gave me a rundown of the chemical they used and what would happen next. They said to give it 30 days but literally even the next day we didn't see any activity (and we were seeing it daily before that). They cleaned up and billed our credit card on file. Easy-peasy.
