We had been hearing scampering on our roof randomly throughout the day and night so were concerned about roof rats, especially since the noises seemed to be coming from our AC vents. We'd jumped up on the flat roof a few times and hadn't been able to get any sightings. Along with this, we found a dead black widow, so we decided it was time and had Urban Desert Pest Control come out. The great news was no evidence of roof rats! The even better news was that instead of charging us for placing traps anyway, Urban Desert Pest Control realized that our "pet" squirrels that live in our backyard were probably getting up there to play and placed some filters over vents to prevent the squirrels from getting into the vents. Guess what? Noises went away. Nice to work with a company that focuses on the individual customer instead of implementing a general approach for every single situation. read more

First, I will admit the products they use are effective. They encouraged scorpions and creepy critters to leave our hillside house that had been unoccupied for months before we moved in. But the pricing was initially not cheap- and it got even more expensive, as the written contract was different than what the initial sales verbal agreement was. I didn't catch that, which admittedly is on me- I had requested a price per service/treatment, and that number seemed reasonable. Instead I was charged that monthly. In addition to only getting bi-monthly service. So- what I thought I would pay per service turned out to be a monthly fee when they come every other month. Essentially doubling the price of each service. When I complained that it was not what I had agreed to, I argued with a service manager- who would not budge on pricing. I asked it to be discussed with higher ups, and never heard back for weeks. Instead I got another monthly charge for a no-service month and I got mad. I went to cancel service, and I was told there would be a $99 contract cancellation fee. I had to fight to have that waived. I will not use this company again! If you choose to- read that contract with a fine attention to detail because they treat it as set in stone, and never in customer's favor. read more

We found this company on Yelp and called them when we discovered a small termite infestation on a wooden staircase indoors. They were quick to respond, and gave me an appointment about a week out. When I said I was concerned about leaving it too long, they bumped it up, which I really appreciated. The guy who did the evaluation was quick and efficient and found two spots that needed to be treated. We scheduled the treatment for a few days later, and they actually arrived early (after asking if it was ok). Communication is top notch with these guys. They treated the areas quickly and gave me a rundown of the chemical they used and what would happen next. They said to give it 30 days but literally even the next day we didn't see any activity (and we were seeing it daily before that). They cleaned up and billed our credit card on file. Easy-peasy. While we hope we don't have to call them again, we absolutely will if needed! read more

Sadly this company has gone downhill since I last reviewed them. We have two houses set up with Urban Desert Pest Control one home is serviced by Tony. Tony completes service both interior and exterior we have no issues. He's on time and does exactly what he says he will. Alex services the other home and sadly the reoccurring treatments are terrible. For the first couple months he never contacted us to treat the interior. Turns out he was texting the wrong phone, when I called customer service to explain there are continuous pests inside they advised me that my contract is only for exterior service and that interior was a bonus. So you're telling me the other home is getting bonus treatments everytime and I shouldn't expect the same experience at both homes? They advised Alex would return to the property to treat the interior at no charge I let them know I was 20 minutes away and by the time I arrived Alex had left. He told his team he couldn't wait any longer and no one called to tell me he left. Fast forward to this month interior is still having issues and Alex sprays two baseboards inside. How is it that Tony sprays each room and Alex does not. Both of them work for the same company the service costs the same the contract is the same why is the experience different. They were quick to respond and come out for free to give an estimate. They were able to get me in same week which I greatly appreciated.
