I consulted Meir again when my prized cacti had a termite infestation! It was a dicey situation and the cure could affect the cacti- I told him it better not! And he came out and it was a bit of a complicated process. I put up lights as he worked until he was satisfied with the job (and I was as well) . Those cacti bloomed once more despite it being so late ( November/ish) and I was so relieved and thankful! Brace yourself for a harrowing real life ant infestation story that almost ruined my weekend. My problem started when I spotted a few small ants in a cluster around a cake crumb stuffing their little ant mouths and loading leftovers on their backs to take back to their colony. I snuffed them out but to no avail as more ants continued to infiltrate my house. First on my counters and by the outlets but it gets worse. I called my regular exterminator (not Green Arrow) who came and sprayed the outside. That night I slept easy thinking my troubles were over. Next day, the ants kept coming after the treatment. Flash forward 5 days, I opened my kitchen pantry and there was a big gang of street ants foraging on the bottom can shelf. Upon further investigation there were also ants on 2 of the walls and under the cabinets. Panicked, I called my exterminator and of course they didn't answer or call back. I created a Yelp project and within minutes Meir, from Green Arrow Pest, called me to help. It was after work hours on Friday and he asked for my address and said he'd be at my house in 9 minutes. True to his word, Mier showed up with time to spare and understood the assignment. We toured my property and Mier inquired about the products the last exterminator used, which I showed him, and he explained his plan that he performed which included spraying the individual ant colonies, spraying along the exterior fence and around the foundation of my house. He also dropped bait crystals and sprayed inside my house. Mier took his time and was extremely thorough and professional. I could tell he was well educated and knowledgeable about all the treatment products, seasons and knew what it takes to get rid of pests. He's also trustworthy and nice, not that the ants care about that as the light dims in their ant eyes. The good news is my ant trauma is over and the ants are now gone, it's been 4 days. In addition, Mier has followed up to check to see if there has been any issues and if the treatment was effective. My old pest company never did that. Outstanding! Meir came out on a Saturday to the Airbnb house we're renting to deal with a rat "situation". He set up traps in the attic, did a full inspection of the roof, the inside & outside of the house and then arranged for one of his team, Chad, to come out on Monday to seal up holes. Chad ended up spending several hours filling/blocking holes & crevices, checking the traps, etc. They were both very thorough and professional - also friendly & courteous. Great follow-up to check the traps a few days later (yes, two were caught - ugh!) and the communication was excellent. (I'm sure having to communicate with both the Airbnb house AND me was a PITA but it was smooth & professional.) We've had NO issues since the original traps were placed. I found a dead pigeon on my roof. No one in my household is willing to bring it down. Therefore, I posted it on Yelp to see if any company could come to recuse. I got plenty of feedback. Some didn't have that service; some would not do just that service and offer me some other services; Some were too expensive. Why do people make things so complicated? I just want that damn dead bird to be removed. Then I got a message from Mier from Green Arrow Pest Control. He gave me a quote and told me he would be available later that day. We contacted Meir Ginsburg to help us inspect a home we've been renting the past couple months and possibly purchasing out here.
