They originally reached out to me to schedule a spray, when I confirmed, they quoted me more than double of the last time. Then when I questioned it, they decided I should go with another company! I had been using them for 6 years. After agreeing to pay the new amount they decided I should use a different company. After questioning why, they then decided they dont come to my area anymore. I've been using Custom Weed & Pest Control for approximately 4 to 5 years. They do an excellent job. After all this rain we've had I had less than 6 weeds pop up after having my yard sprayed a year ago. I called to have my yard resprayed front and back for approximately $120, they scheduled the treatment within less than a weeks timeframe. My yard looks amazing. My neighbors on the other hand keep pulling weeds and spraying their yard with a product from Lowes or Home Depot, that's apparently not working. They have been doing my yard for a couple of years now. When I reached to out to schedule the 6 month service, I was told they don't have a grass tech for my area (South Chandler: Gilbert/Riggs). So I asked if they could come spray my rocks. They said yes (which confused me but ok) so we made the appointment for 2 weeks later. They informed me they have a $100 min. I said no problem. The morning of the appointment, I emailed again to double check the stuff they use on the rocks is still pet friendly. And I got the rudest reply from Marlene. "Hi Lori, I think maybe we should cancel service due to your animals today. We have been doing your house for a few years and it is a chemical we use. And with your concern I feel you should go in a different direction. Thank you Marlene" So my question is: Have they been using toxic stuff all these years on my grass even though they told me each time it was animal safe? Stay far away from this company!!! read more

We booked with this company and waited 3 weeks for them to kill our weeds in late March. They came out and treated the area. A week later, the weeds were still there and standing tall so I contacted them. I never heard back. A few weeks after they came, we got an HOA violation because the weeds were still there. I still have not heard back. Do not waste your time and money with this company. UPDATE: The owner reached out to me and explained that it takes 3 weeks for the weeds to die, this was in the invoice in small print under one of the line items. He felt that they did kill the weeds based on my photos, and apologized for their lack of response but I just wish his team would've responded so I had a better idea of the expectations. From the other reviews here, it seems like they do a good job of killing weeds but need to work on their communication and expectation setting. read more

Found Custom Weed & Pest after going through the wringer for WEEKS with our usual (now former) landscaping company to actually give us a date for pre-emergent services we agreed to. While it's obviously too early to review how well the pre-emergent worked, we could NOT be happier with how easy, professional and simple working with Custom Weed was. Communication was absolutely clear and everything went down exactly as expected which seems to be something other companies we've used in the past struggle with. A phone call was given the day prior to services to confirm the time window of arrival. The gentleman who came out to spray arrived 4 minutes early even! He was polite, smiling and professional. I found Custom Weed & Pest Control, contacted them, we scheduled and the Customer Service of the Technician was spot on! With the heavy rain fall in the area, the weeds were trying to take over my yard and I wanted to avoid receiving any reminders from the HOA...... I've been looking for someone to help me evaluate and deal with my yard. That is, I don't want someone to just cut my grass and fertilize when they think they're supposed to. Custom Weed & Pest Control seems like the company that I need. So far, they've been great with customer service, response time, and the evaluations that I've received have been thorough and were provided by someone that was able to talk at a higher level than most landscapers. 2 years ago I bought a backpack sprayer to kill the weeds. Unfortunately, I seemed to be out there (we have an acre) every weekend because in Arizona every time it rains even a tiny bit, weeds pop up. Love the rain, hate the weeds. I could not keep up. I called Custom Weed, and in a few days the weeds were dead and disintegrating. I call them every year now, and the results are fabulous. I think they spray weeds for everyone on our street. Joe arrived on Thursday morning as scheduled and went right to work spraying our half acre of weeds. He finished quickly and let us know that within a week the weeds would be dead. Per Murphy's Law, we had rain later that afternoon as well as the next day, but here we are only 4 days later and everything is dead!! This company is great. I did a lot of shopping around before I chose them. Great customer service, come out to do the work in a timely manner and on time. They do every bit of the yard. I had my landscaper do the weeds but since I call to have them come out only when I need them, the weeds were getting out of hand. Custom Weed did exactly what they promised and include a warranty. Also big bonus that after about two hours you can let your pet(s) out and it is safe for them. I never had my pup get sick.
