Unfortunately, I tried to give them a chance and switched from an amazing company. I regretted it within 48 hours. Horrible communication paired with entitlement is insane. they breached contract by not showing during the initially scheduled time and thought I was supposed to drop everything to go home. Then, no one showed up for their termite treatment that was supposed to happen a couple of days later. To make it worse, they lied about providing the service. Our gates and garage are not accessible due to the number of dogs we have. There is not even a possibility of them getting past the side gat to do any aspect of the service. They are essentially scamming me out of over $600.00 after not ever completing a service and have begun making threats. At this point, I'm going to let it play out legally and have ceased all contact. Seriously, beware. It should have been a red flag that you had to commit to a year. Feel free to use them for pests as I have not had issues with this service in 2 years. Do not use them for weeds. I had one gentleman come out and he sprayed my weeds and nothing happened in 2 weeks. I called back and they had another guy come out. To be clear, I walked both gentlemen to my back yard and showed them where I wanted them to spray. They saw weeds in my grass and decided to spray all over my yard. My grass is ruined thanks to them. This will cost me most likely hundreds of dollars to repair and all I got was a "Hey sorry we will cancel the service." No refund, no offer to repair the damage they did. Honestly just do not go with them for weeds. After walking them into the back and showing them where to spray, they have no excuse for what they did. Now I have to wait until middle of summer and HOPE the grass comes back if not I have to resod my yard. This is just shit customer service. This company operates like a bait-and-switch scam. The technician who came out told me he "found termite activity," but conveniently never showed me a single piece of proof. He then pushed their termite add-on and repeatedly promised there was NO contract, no commitment, and that I could cancel anytime. I asked multiple times because I do not do contracts, and he looked me in the face and assured me there wasn't one. That was a lie. Two months later, not only did they refuse to come back out when more termite activity was found, they suddenly claimed I was locked into a 12-month contract and demanded nearly $300 to cancel a service they won't even provide. So the truth is: They will say anything to get you signed up, then hide behind fine print and refuse to honor the service you're paying for. This is deceptive, unethical, and predatory business behavior. Deeply Unsatisfied With Greenleaf Pest Control I'm writing this review because of ongoing issues with Greenleaf Pest Control's business practices, billing accuracy, and customer service. In mid-June, a salesperson came to my home (new development) despite a clearly posted no-solicitation sign. He rang the doorbell and knocked repeatedly while I was working from home. To get him to leave, I agreed to try the $1 one-month service he offered. I authorized only that trial month. They serviced my home only once inside and only twice total, yet they attempted to bill me for six months of service I did not authorize. When I disputed the charges, they told me the "early cancellation" fee would be $250--despite the fact that I never agreed to an ongoing contract. My interaction with Ashley in customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. There was no effort to problem-solve or resolve the dispute. I would not recommend Greenleaf Pest Control, especially to residents in new developments. Deceptive marketing! $250 cancelation fee!! The salesmen will tell you there's no penalty for canceling service-- this is a lie. I ONLY hired them because I was assured I could cancel. I had just moved in, I'm alone with small children, I had pests, but unfortunately hadn't taken the time to do my homework on who to hire. HUGE regret. I had them out twice in a 2 week period, and never saw a difference in pests. The problem just continued getting worse (as in black widows in my garage, crickets inside the house, ants, etc). When I called to ask for emergent help, they couldn't get anyone out here until the weekend, 3-4 days away. So, I hired someone else and proceeded to cancel my contract with Greenleaf. That's when they informed me of the fee, saying I should've been aware because it was in an email (that I never received). They argued that I have to give them the opportunity to make it right and offered to have someone out sooner. At this point I was completely off-put by their business, and declined. They charged me $60 the next day, then another $250 several days later. People in my neighborhood have had similar experiences. This company is the worst. FYI, the reviews on Google are fake. When you scroll past all of the fake reviews, you will see all of the 1 star reviews that are similar to what reviews you find on Yelp.. After the first service we had, Still found live insects (Scorpions & Spiders) around the house. I've read other reviews of the salesman targeting elderly people and being deceiving. This is due to the fact that they never come on the same day same time so I never know when to be home. And when they do tell you they are coming they don't show up when they are supposed to. This company has spent the last several days harassing households in our neighborhood (a post in our neighborhood group on FB had over 110 responses related to this company's activities in our community). They ignore no solicitation signs, use high pressure sales tactics, refuse to take no for an answer, get combative and rude with homeowners who *repeatedly* say no thank you. I was specifically visited by someone who identified himself as "Devin" on a small scooter. He stated he represented Greenleaf and had signed up "a boat load" of my neighbors, to which I thanked him and politely said not interested. He went on about how he could save me money and wouldn't it be great to support a local business (he hadn't asked who we used nor what we paid, so not sure how he could have made this statement). I told him that I was happy with my current provider and wasn't interested in making a change. After about my fourth no thank you, I explained I needed to get back to work, he rolled his eyes and then said "well I guess you're just not smart enough to see how much money I can save you." Not sure why he chose to insult me as his next sales tactic, because as you can imagine, I wasn't impressed nor suddenly swayed to sign up with him. At this point, I explained that I had been patient and polite, and had told him *no* at least four times, that our conversation was over and that he needed to leave my property immediately. I then closed the door in his face. He jumped on his scooter and moved on down the street. I switched from Burns to Greenleaf after moving this past year and have been satisfied with the pest control service they provide. My first two conversations with ladies in their office we're rather unpleasant, but it has been better recently. As others have mentioned here in unfavorable reviews, the sales pitch at the beginning was a bit much and mostly untrue. The big push that "all your neighbors have us" and "someone down the street just moved so we have an opening for you" was laughable. I had planned to call Burns once we had settled in, but Greenleaf was at my door and it was a fair price so I gave them a shot. That being said, for anyone from the company reading this, the shmoozy sales pitch is probably hurting your business. Months ago a large amount of money went missing after a Green Leaf tech was in our home, money that only happened to be there for a pending trip. When we talked to Green Leaf about the issue, they initiated an "investigation" which obviously led to nowhere. We confronted them about a previous customer review that had a similar incident happen to them. Green Leaf assured us that that prior incident had been taken care of and that employee was no longer with the company. After making contact with the former customer who made a similar claim of theft, it turns out it was the same tech who was in our home and whose employment had not been terminated after the prior incident as Green Leaf claimed to us when we called to complain. Losing money meant for a vacation was bad enough, but Green Leaf lying about the previous complaint being "made right" and that employee no longer being with the company was even worse. While most of their techs were great for the short time we employed them, it would be wise to keep a close watch on them while in your home. read more

My problem is that I hired them to do a weed control treatment and when they came back to do touch up they sprayed the chemicals on my front porch, driveway, vehicle, and house. It was literally the biggest mess flipping ever. And the icing is when you call and they just tell me how sorry they are but they're not going to do a thing to help because there is "nothing we can do" lol lol lol. I thought I may be interested so I gave him my email address and phone number, but I DID NOT sign the agreement because he asked for my credit card information and stated that if I cancelled the agreement I will be charged $250. We shook hands and he left. A few minutes later, I received an email that welcomed me as a new customer and included an account number. How sleazy!! Made an initial call, they followed up by calling....after 10pm. Sounded rather desperate to make the sale, but, after they offered a $50 discount, went ahead and scheduled it. They were made aware of our schedules and were told they'd be here at noon, or as close to noon as possible. Noon came and went with no call or notification. Called to see when they'd get here, and was told it would be more like 4pm. That wasn't the plan, kids. New plan, cancelled the charge, got the money back, scheduled with another company that was even cheaper than the initial quote. You snooze, you lose. read more
