This company is run by a person that is very dis organized and only about the money. Cannot even spell customer service. My personal experience is that I would run from this company. I am very concerned that this company will take advantage of other people expecting a company to do what it says it will do. Especially after taking money for services not rendered. Marc mounted two TVs, installed a Bose home theater sound bar, and installed outdoor speakers on my back porch. The install was very clean, uncluttered, and attractive. I'm happy we found them because the company we worked with before them was frustrating. I always felt that they blamed me for not using the remote correctly when it was really just a very complicated system. We are a single family, but have 6 TVs and a large-screen movie room. Mero came in, set us up with a whole new system, which has been well worth the money. Now everything works together. They also set up sound for us to play on our pool system. The hardware was already installed around the pool but we were never able to get it to play with the previous company. Mero has also coordinated with our internet providers (att and now Sudden Link). Stop. Your search is over. Michael came out to meet me at my home and give me the initial quote. This guy is amazing! He was on time, friendly, knowledgable, professional and had a great sense of humor. I was truly astonished. Michael got back to me very quickly with an official quote and setup a time to complete the job the following week. I mean WOW! that's fast! I'll be honest the quote seemed a bit higher than I thought but that's just because the labor wasn't separated from the parts. After looking on amazon and other sites the prices were pretty comparable because he uses top quality parts. Which i appreciate because I don't want to pay for something to be one only to have it go bad a few years later. He was incredible fast with email and replying back to my questions. Day of the install: two guys show up to do the install exactly on time. Ethan was awesome too! He was very knowledgable and knew what he was doing. The house was a bit tricky to run the wires up stairs and downstairs but they took care of it. The worked extremely hard and the best part was they were as quite as possible when my daughter was taking naps and our dog running around them while they worked. Anytime they had to something like cut a new whole, they would inform me and ask my permission. That was incredible! Ethan was so cool and friendly. The end result: My TV's, playstation, and office are now all wired with high quality cable. I now get 13x the speed and reliably too! My wireless was really flakey streaming Netflix, amazon, or loading games on the PS4. I'm so glad I found these guys. I would highly recommend them. I enlisted the services of Bennett Technologies for a home theater re-wire and technology upgrade as well as network wiring through the house. Michael worked with me on scoping the project and suggested a number of possible options as far as possible upgrades but never did it feel like he was trying to up sell me on any of these options. We revised the bid a number of times and Michael was even flexible enough to add a wireless access point at the last moment. On the day of the install Ethan and Santos arrived on time and were clean, quiet and courteous while working. The guys had to first clean up a wiring cabinet that was a rat's nest of useless legacy wiring - the cabinet door was not able to close due to the mess and they cleaned it up so that it now closes with ease. The got the ethernet jacks in all the rooms setup exactly as I had requested and then proceeded to install the wifi access point so perfectly it is almost unnoticeable. Ethan and Santos had to deal with a lot of old technology but were able to weed out everything that was no longer relevant and wire up all the new technology. They reprogrammed by universal remote and gave me a demo of the new setup. Ethan was willing to offer suggestions when I asked about possible other projects and left me with a feeling that if anything was not absolutely perfect I could call and he would be back to make it so ! These guys are awesome and you can use them with confidence knowing they will blow you away with their workmanship. read more

I have a surround sound system. I have been using an Onkyo receiver the past couple of years to watch movies on my HDTV & DVD player. I never had TV channels just DVD for movies. This past week I had U-verse come out & install TV. They told me they were unable to do anything more than just hook the U-Verse up to my TV--they weren't authorized to hook it up to my surround sound system. Coincidentally I had just purchased a wireless Blu Ray player so now I have 2 devices that I needed routed through my receiver so that I could hear it on surround sound. I also needed to figure out how to operate the various functions that came with the wireless Blu Ray player like Netflix, Pandora, ect. Rather than mess with it myself or ask friends to do it I decided that I wanted a professional company to come hook these 2 devices up. I was warned by the U-Verse guy that there are issues with compatibility with U-Verse TV and HDMI cables working in harmony with the various receivers and TV's out there. So when I called Bennett Technologies I told the owner Micheal about that. I explained that all I cared about was having the TV sound coming through my surround sound so they would probably just need to skip the HDMI stuff and just hook it up for me with an audio cord to the receiver. Michael called bullshit and said no such issues existed with U-Verse. He claimed to work with U-Verse all the time and it would be fine to hook things up via HDMI cable to my surround sound. Michael the owner sent out a different Michael to do the work. He was an older gentleman. The rate is $85 an hour. One hour was planned to do this simple task of hooking up a Blu Ray player & U-verse box to the surround sound receiver: --Michael was 30 minutes late to my house. It had been raining but it wasn't rush hour. He just didn't budget appropriate time. --I told him too about how U-Verse had warned me about HDMI issues with receivers. I told him it may just be easier to use an audio cable to hook up the U-Verse sound to the receiver. He said it should be fine that U-Verse didn't know what they were talking about. --I already had the Blu Ray player plugged in & ready to go. All Michael had to do was plug the HDMI into the receiver & then connect the U-Verse box into the receiver. This should have only taken a matter of a few minutes. For some reason this took him over 45 minutes to execute. He was very slow. --When he finally got up off the floor to check things out we had sound from the surround sound system but no picture on the TV. Michael kept bumbling around messing with the remote & various inputs trying to figure out why no picture. THIS TOOK OVER 15 MINUTES. Finally he just guessed that the HDMI cable must be bad. When he went to remove it he discovered it wasn't fully plugged in and that he must have dislodged it when he went to stand up earlier. Doh. --You could already hear from the sound coming out of the surround sound speakers that the U-Verse TV was messed up. Once Michael figured out that the plug was loose and he corrected it the picture did show up but was blinking in and out just like the sound. I told him "See, U-Verse said there may be an issue". But Michael insisted on trying to "fix" it by messing AGAIN with input channels and cables which, of course, did nothing. Finally he called the owner who told him to call Onkyo. This of course took more time. Onkyo tech support immediately confirmed that there was a compatibility issue with U-Verse TV and HDMI. This wasn't going to work after all. WHICH IS WHAT I TOLD BENNETT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE START. It really makes me angry that it took so much time for all this to go down only to realize what I had been saying the entire time. Michael the technician ended up hooking up the U-Verse TV the way I originally suggested which was to use an audio cable for the receiver to get the TV to play via surround sound. I didn't even bother at this point to have the technician show me all the various features of the Blu Ray player because he had already been at my house for 2 HOURS. Just to hook up a U-Verse box & Blu Ray player to a receiver!! Even though this is one of the reasons why I hired a professional I had ZERO faith in Michael. It might take him another hour at $85 just to show me how to do this. He already had issues seeing the screen on the receiver. I told him I was only going to pay for one hour. He argued for more. I went to pay & found out they don't take credit cards on site. Nor do they have a way to give you a copy of the receipt. He would have to email it all later. How does a high tech company like this not have a way to pay with a card on site & give a copy of the receipt? Update: TV sound not working at all now no matter what I do. I am hiring a different company to help fix. I could have done it just as easy myself with less stress and for free. I'm sorry I called them as I feel this company is not competent. read more

Be careful. Several business practices I found to be aggressive and did not feel good about any of the interaction. Sequence of events you be the judge 1. Tech sent a note saying "I took your defective remote with me It's still under warranty. There is no charge for the replacement. 2. Guy arrives and tells my wife he is here to work on remote and starts performing unauthorized work. 3. I emerge and inquire what he is doing. He says well the time started when I left cedar park to drop off the remote and I have been here for 30 min so an hour and a half is the charge so far. No charge turned into $127. They guy says "hey you got your remote replaced for free you have to pay for my commute from cedar park I disagree with the failure to set any expectation regarding charging 85 an hour for travel time to "drop off" the remote or program it for 30 min. In my opinion there are better options. I fear for those who did not pay close attention the time and value of the services provided. read more

Bennett Technologies wall mounted my flat screen TV above my fireplace a few years ago and did a flawless job. Michael's attention to detail obviously comes from being a total perfectionist. He even re-tiled my fireplace surround with the tiles that had come loose during the installation. Then I got rid of my multiple remote controls and purchased a high end "all in one" remote from them. They programmed the remote to my specifications and it's worked perfectly, and easily, since day one. They also installed a sound bar above my tv - this was a great recommendation because with the high ceilings in my condo, the sound was just getting lost. Recently I had Bennett Technologies make the ugly cable from my new Roku device disappear. The technician was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Michael also arrived at my home to add the Roku device to my programmable remote control and I'm thrilled with my new set up. Bennett Technologies installed my home security system. My initial reaction was very positive. The crew were professional and courteous. However, the first rainstorm after the installation resulted in a shorted camera. The conduit the team installed collected water and the camera cabling ran right through it. After dealing with some frustration with how the network was set up in my house initially, I went looking for someone who could run my LAN lines properly. I called Bennett technologies, and the next day Michael came by to give me an estimate. A few days later, his crew came in and totally exceeded my expectations! They ran Cat 6 from the master bedroom to the game room, and I needed power in the game room closet, we agreed to move it from a nearby location into the game room closet, their techs Ethan and Santos found an unused power port in my attic directly above the game room closet, so I got to keep all the power in my game room! They kept me informed throughout, and asked me where I wanted him to cut holes in the wall, and they kept everything neat! They even cable managed, and vacuumed after all was said and done. First, I moved into a 12 year old house which was wired for sound throughout. My own equipment was very old (about 15 yrs) except for one TV. I also had signed up for U-Verse. Michael and his team helped me decide which pieces of equipment I needed to replace, which to keep, and were able to set up everything in good working order. They also ordered one in-wall remote that was not working from a company they don't normally do business with, and then came out and installed that when it came in. I have had no issues since the installation with anything. It did take a while to get the TV which sent the signal to the other TV's in the house (3 others) to stop pixillating, but they did the job and I am very happy. Wow! Where do I start? I have never done a Yelp review before, but I am highly motivated to do so for this company so others can know what a jewel they are. I have a big house that required a complicated technology approach and solution. My network enterprise grade wireless system was just not working, period. I had another bunch of guys in here from an otherwise reputable firm that did an OK job, but in the end, my network still wasn't working right. In the face of my great frustration, and based on their excellent Yelp profile, I then called these guys. Michael responded in a very prompt and big way - even though the job was not originally his and the equipment was not purchased from a company he preferred to work with. He and Ethan spent hours here testing EVERYTHING they possibly could to get to the root cause of the problem, and they eventually found and fixed it after digging and digging ever deeper. What a luxury to now finally enjoy having the wireless speeds comparable to what I am paying for from Time-Warner! I am doing this first Yelp review because I believe in shouting from the rooftops and sharing when I find one of those contractors / vendors that are truly exceptional. These are very nice guys who go above and beyond. And despite their excellence, they charge fair and very reasonable prices.
