Easy to find right off the freeway on 16th. Nice people to work with. Service is a pain no matter where you go and although this place has a small waiting room the service was excellent. Sales was great to chat with while I was waiting and I will give them an opportunity when the time comes for a new or used car. Thank guys.. read more

They have a $200.00 hrly rate. First thing out of service writer's mouth was to tell me about their $200. Diagnosis. If it wasn't covered under warranty. I was told that an aftermarket amp caused a loose wire in the drivers side door. The thing is my amp only powers a speaker box in the back of the vehicle. Nothing to do with the door. Pulled the door panel reconnected the wire and charged me $200. Never again. read more

The service department at this Kia dealership is very bad. Primary individual, Johnny, is very rude and condescending. Very contentious on the phone and does not like to be corrected. The customer service here is the worst. Took in a vehicle that has been sitting there for over a month because of back ordered parts. Or so they say. I called corporate and they are looking into this dealerships service and practices. This is only one of many complaints when dealing with this garbage dealership and service department. These workers should be aware that they live in the same community as their clients and they will have inevitable run ins with them in public. read more

I would like to thank Rob and his associates for helping me get my new love of my life EV6. Great customer service easy but long process, but it was worth every moment. Even after my purchase Rob calls to make sure I'm okay and if I have any issues to call him. I did just that because I had no idea about a electric car and he also was learning but he did not stop looking up and researching for my answers or accessories I wanted for my EV6!!!! I highly recommend going to Kia/ Hyundai Merced for you new future car Once again MAHALO NUI LOA ROB AND THE REST OF THIS MERCED CREW. read more

I cant even get through to the service department they keep hanging up. Was able to get through once and they told me to call back in 10 minutes because they were busy so thats what i did but wasnt able to get back through without them hanging up on me. Its not like i was arguing with them about anything at all, literally seconds after i got through boom they hung up. read more

I had issues when I purchased my vehicle on the past It was a soul basic mode without the lights sound system. First off instead of it being delivered to the location, since it was a limited model without the full system... they had somebody drive it instead...... When I picked it up I assumed it would be be a s we with all the correct parts. Was I wrong. They switched my rims out and used some plastic like $10 ones that caused future issues with my car leading to a lot of repair work and it came out of my pocket. My axel was messed up and had to get many other things repaired as well they refused to help me with it and said I was lying even tho I had a picture of me next to the car the day I picked it up with the date stamped on it and it showed the incorrect rims. In other words. AVOID This Kia.... if you don't want to suffer with money being taken out of your pocket Go to another location!!! They will scam you hard and won't care if issues arise because of their lack of being a proper business!!! If I could I would give them a 0 but sadly I'm forced into giving them 1 read more

My husband and I love this place. Izzy, our sales person was just fantastic and he worked with us for the best deal. We were so happy with our car and our experience at this dealership. Much of it was that Izzy explained very well how things worked in our new KIA Soul. The manager was very fair and pleasant and made the process easy. Thank you! read more

2 stars because I hate leaving bad reviews but I brought my car here for an insurance claim, not only did a major part of the claim get ignored and not repaired, but it took 3 weeks to get one part, and when I finally picked it up there was a crack in my windshield that wasn't there before. I was not notified about it either I had to tell them it happened while it was under their care. They replaced the windshield for free which I appreciate but the black plastic cover that goes over the rear view mirror was broken and won't clip into place. This has been such a hassle and I won't even come back here to have them repair this. I'd rather pay extra somewhere else to have it done correctly. Extremely disappointed. read more

We had a really good experience here. We told them that we needed to hurry because we had a deadline to meet later that day, and they were willing and able to accomodate us. They showed us the car we were looking for, got us the price we wanted for it, and got us a better payment than what we were asking for. Andrea was friendly and knowledgable, and came in on her day off to help us and make sure that the process was expediant. So far, the car is exactly what we expected, and we're very happy with it. Overall, the experience was very customer service oriented. I would buy from here again. read more

The service center at Merced Kia is not helpful. Do not bother trying to make an appointment and the soonest I am able to bring my vehicle in would be 29 days from now on January 12th, 2023. After describing the problem with my 1 1/2 year old Telluride that something is wrong with my rear end making very loud clunking noise when I drive near the tire but nothing wrong with the tire itself, the only suggestion I got would be to get on the FREEWAY and drive an unsafe vehicle an hour away to Clovis or Modesto. Yeah that sounds like a great idea, jump on the freeway with a car that is having trouble driving through town. Thanks for the helpful suggestion, Jim. read more

Kia of Merced, want to thank you again for the pleasant experience my husband and I had purchasing our Kia Optima! Andrea, our sales gal was great, knowledgeable, and has a great personality. I, myself, work for a nationally known used car dealership, but was in the market for a brand new car. My Sales Consultant Sou was amazing from start to finish. He took the time to answer all of my questions, obtain the best financing, and get the best deal on my perfect car. He went above and beyond when he offered and followed through with actually giving me a ride from Modesto to Merced to sign papers and pick up the car. I can't say enough about what a great experience I had, and will always recommend Merced Kia, and especially Sou to ANYONE who's looking for a new vehicle. Merced Kia - My amazing new 2017 Kia Forte, purchased from Sou at Merced Kia! Best car-buying experience ever! - Car Dealers Near Me - Merced, California

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. Service department and dealer does not value customer loyalty... I highly recommend servicing, and purchasing, from another dealer. I purchased my Kia Optima Hybrid from this dealer and have been religious about getting it serviced with this dealer's service department. I had hoped to purchase my next car from them as well but after the experience I've had in the past five months, there's no way. My car, two weeks after a routine service, experienced a total engine failure last November - no reason, they couldn't explain how or why. Recognizing the car was out of warranty, I was grateful they were going to try to get it handled through the warranty good neighbor program and didn't think twice about the month and a half the car sat there waiting for that process to play out. But then, Kia issued a recall in January that included my year and model for engine issues like mine. One would think this would be a no brainer, but it took more than two months for them to get the recall paperwork through and approved. Then it took at least another month for the engine to come in. Mind you, they never called to give me updates. I had to call them and remind them I was still waiting for updates every few weeks. So finally, last week, the engine comes and they install it which results in a new issue because the engine they sent was not the same (long block v short block). So they tell me they have to go back to Kia for another approval to fix the new problem. And today they tell me only the labor will be covered but I have to pay for the parts. So after a total engine replacement due to a manufacturer recall that then caused a new issue, I'm having to pay to fix that issue. Mind you, this entire time I've been blessed to have a family member's car to drive, so I haven't inconvenienced the dealership with any requests for rentals. Perhaps if they were losing money every day paying for my rental car they might have moved faster. But this last insult of being charged to fix the issue a recall issue caused is too much. If I buy another Kia, which is now highly unlikely, I will drive to another dealership/service department for maintenance. I feel completely ripped off, and they've got me over a barrel because I either pay or I don't have a car. Never again. read more

I worked directly with Gilbert on the lease of a Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid. We were rather hesitant as I have had negative experiences in the past with Kia. However, Gilbert was extremely personal, easy to chat with and highly knowledgeable. He walked me through the process of leasing a vehicle and highlighted all costs and additional coverage available. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we ended up getting our vehicle at another dealer. I followed up with Gilbert and he was very understanding and welcomed us to the Kia family. I was so surprised at his kindness and generosity. Despite getting a vehicle at another dealer, he offered up his time if we had any questions or concerns. Most dealers would have given me the middle finger. I am genuinely impressed by the elevated level of customer service this dealer had to offer. I would strongly advise that you work with Kia of Merced. The team is wonderful and I will definitely be back to get another Kia here. Thank you Kia of Merced! read more

Im not sure about how good is the car I bought but I loved my experience with them. Nice people, they don't talk your head off, they are not trying to make you buy a car like some other dealers. Stoped in to take a look at the Sorento, the reviews on said Sorento are great, I see why now the Sorento looks sharp. The sales associate middle aged woman greeted me, not to much of a first impression not very neat but ok maybe today was a bad day ? She couldn't answer most of my questions, she had a look of frustration over it. I wouldn't want to see her upset. As she went for the keys I left quickly. read more

Will never do business with them. Went in to inquire about new car purchase with a specific model already in mind. When we told the salesman we were interested in a different model he insisted on doing a credit check before he would talk to other dealerships to see if one was available. When we informed him we would not he spoke to his manager who stated "if they can find it somewhere else tell them to go there" just a horrible experience with rude salesperson and management read more

Let me start by saying that our salesman Fabian was the best. He was polite, professional and friendly. Merced Kia is by far the best place to buy a car. This is the 1st place that had zero pressure. Usually when you walk on a lot you are pressured. I drove 90+ miles roundtrip to buy from them as their treatment was far superior over anyone else that so had shopped. I highly recommend Merced Kia and Fabian read more

Very shady sales tactics. Don't trust these guys. They quoted me one price then everything changes when you get there. I drove 60 miles to deal with a bunch of amateurs. Now I know why there was nobody else on the lot. Some muscle head named Fernando followed me and my girlfriend out the door cussing at us. Very unprofessional. read more

Bought my new Kia Telluirde from Merced Kia. The sales rep was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and more than willing to go above and beyond in the customer service department. Worked with Robert to buy a new Kia Sorento and he provided a great car buying experience. I have purchased several vehicles before but never have I had someone so thorough. This was my first time buying a car from this dealership. I am a very satisfied customer and it feels so nice to go from a 2003 PT cruiser to a 2014 Hyundai Accent Hatchback. I love my new car and am happy with the wonderful service I received from Saan. He was helpful and friendly the whole time and even went out of his way to wash my car for me the night I got it, he didn't have to but he did which was nice. What I really appreciated was they actually messed up the pricing on my car, we had already settled on a deal and after the papers were being orepared he came out and told me they messed up, at first I thought he was lying to make me feel like I was getting a good deal but the next morning my dad checked and he saw the correct price online, the dealership could have given me the original price of what it was but they honored our deal and kept it at what we "shook hands on" already, so overall I saved a lot of money. There was a slight scratch on the front of my car which was part of the deal to have that painted over as well and its painted and done and looks like there was never a scratch to begin with. I am happy with my car and the service and will most likely come back again. read more

I had a very good experience at Merced Kia. From my first contact through the AARP buying plan, Pao, the internet manager, was very professional and courteous. Richard was an excellent salesman who showed us the car, explained its features and test drove it with us. He went out of his way to meet our needs. We negotiated a good price, paying just about what I expected. The financial manager was very efficient in guiding us through the paperwork. I was very satisfied with this dealership and would recommend it. read more

I had a fantastic buying experience at MERCED KIA. I recently purchased the 2015 KIA Optima EX. Rich is very knowledgable and takes the time to explain every feature in detail. He even helped with the set up of the UVO service. I highly recommend Rich when buying a KIA. He has a great sense of humor and a personality that isn't pushy or demanding. The financing through KIA was also a great experience. We had several options but theirs was by far the best choice. We used a program True Car Buying so it was no haggle pricing. My car was damaged during delivery, before taking ownership, a due bill was noted and signed so I am confident I will receive the same outstanding service from that department when they do the necessary work. I have already recommended someone else to Merced KIA, they also purchased an Optima, they expressed to me they are equally pleased. Very Happy With MERCED KIA!! Go see RICH!! ~Val my Pal read more

We just went in to look at the 2017 Sorento, talk about a deal you can't refuse! Well, they sure offered it and we took it and are so thrilled with our car. I heard so many good things about Merced Kia from family members and friends so I decided to stop by my car was on its last leg, it's time for a new car. I did my research and the Optima LX was the car I seen myself leaving with. I entered the car lot and as soon as I got out of my vehicle I was greeted with "Hey What's Up" surprised by this I looked behind me to see if the salesman (Henry) was talking to someone else, nobody behind me so I guess he was talking to me. He then said his name was Henry and nothing else but a blank stare and silence...................very weird. I told him I was in the market for a new Optima I was sure he heard as he nodded, Henry then takes me to look at a used Optima he stands by it and looks at me, I then tell Henry again I want to see a new Optima Henry then laughs loudly and says oh ok and walks me down the lot again where I first got out of my vehicle and says hold on one second and turns around and walks away and enters the building. At this point I had enough of this I got in my vehicle and I left. I did end up buying a new Optima which took all of one hour to do but not at this location. read more
