I couldn't get my Mercedes sprinter to shift into gear to take to Modesto for the maintenance. I had to cancel my appointment and I waited for Service to call me after four hours, I called CentralValley European and a lovely man that answered the phone told me to run the car for 20 minutes and try again I it worked like a charm! I really wish I would have known about this place years ago. After years of having to deal with the horrible customer service at Fresno BMW (see my other review for further) finding this place was like finding gold. Shane is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. Every time bring my car in he does a complete inspection and let's me know when things are starting to show signs of wear so I can plan out what items will need servicing in 3 months, 6 months, etc, so there are never any "surprises" when I come in. They are also very flexible and accommodating with appointments. All the work is done quickly and at at a very reasonable price. Like I said, I wish I would've started bringing my BMW here years ago. The service writer was accurate and knowledgeable, he didn't jerk me around on anything, straight to the point on what the vehicle needed and even offered a cheaper solution if it was possible. My only gripe is that there were grease marks on the interior, other than that all is good. read more

My BMW was overheating because of a blockage and the main mechanic Shane, helped me figure out what was the issue, what we needed to do and even fixed some pre existing issues with my vehicle as well for a very friendly price which is rare when working with OEM parts on a BMW. A few weeks after this I popped a check engine light for my air pump check valve and Shane knew to check the vaccuum lines for a leak and found one. He fixed the vacuum line and replaced it for no cost. Great service, Great knowledge and even better communication. read more

One of the two places I will take my car too in Merced. Very honest and straight forward. They know I used to be a mechanic and don't have a problem telling me when I'm wrong. Why would a mechanic take a car to a mechanic? I'm too old to work on my back. Let them do the big jobs. I have sent a few others there and they only had one complaint about all the repairs needed on the car. When I looked at the car I said it was right and they should be mad at their old mechanic for not keeping the car in tune. Ladies, they treated my wife and neighbor right too. read more

Dealerships will break things that are not warranty and make you pay. And don't feel you have to go to dealership for service because of warranty. My car broke down in the middle of the Yosemite national park over the holidays. I had it towed all the way to Central Valley European as it was the closest reliable garage I could find when experience working on Volvos. They were able to get me in without an appointment and very quickly assess whatevs wrong with the car, something that multiple mechanics had been unable to do in Yosemite. My Dad took my car to them to fix a wiring problem that another mechanic broke but couldn't fix after. They kept it for a while and said they can't fix it without taking the entire car pretty much apart. So we said no don't do that. They said come and pick it up when we get a chance then. So I go down there to have it towed since they don't tow vehicles and they said that we put a lien on it and already got rid of it. Also I wasn't aware that they even had my car until a couple months ago. Plus I was told that they were going to work on my car when they had spare time. So that it wouldn't cost as much. Favors like that huh no thank you. Never even went through the DMV in order to transfer the title or to get a hold of the owner which is me. For all he knew it could have been a stolen car. Which is basically what they are doing with my car. DMV just sent me mail asking if I wanted to pay to get my car out of non-operation. A little suspicious acts going on here. read more

It seems that I have finally found a trustworthy mechanic to fix my Jaguar in Merced., CA. Shane was very nice, and seemed very genuine.
