My calls is very unprofessional even the credit union I worked with says he is the worst person ever. He doesn't answer calls. He ignores you and gives you the runaround. I also discovered they don't upload inspection results to any federal regulatory databases (NHTSA, FMCSA, CFPB), which seems like a missed opportunity for transparency and consumer protection. After taking the car to another auto shop, I learned the front brake pads were nearly worn through-something Merced Auto World didn't catch-and that the tires still had acceptable tread life, contradicting their recommendation. Friend recently bought a car from here and he was told by their mechanics that the car had issues that needed to be fixed the day he was supposed to take the car. If you plan to sell a car on a set day, all of the car's maintenance should be up. After repairs, he had charges on for a new radiator which was never mentioned or communicated from the seller or mechanics to the buyer. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Do NOT purchase a vehicle from Merced Auto World. I purchased a 2017 Ford Mustang from Merced Auto World in July 2024. It is now January, almost February 2025, I have still yet to receive any kind of paperwork, license plates, registration, proof of ownership, ANYTHING from the dealership. I've reached out hundreds of times via text message and phone call, only to be repetitively be told "it'll be here next week" every single time. When I originally test drove the vehicle I expressed concerns regarding the A/C not working and they assured me it was just needing "to be recharged" and they just band aided the problem, sold me the car with an extended warranty that "covers everything" then a month later, the A/C compressor wasn't working and the owner Baltazar wanted to charge me a "$75 inspection fee" to look at the vehicle before fixing it, after they sold me the extended warranty already.....then they kept it for TWO months. As per my last text message, they told me I'd have them by 1/10/2025, as I've still yet to receive them, today, 1/25/2025, I call and get hung up on TWICE by the so called owner after being told "we've already told you it'll be in next week". This is NOT how a woman, or anyone for that matter should be treated. I paid him my registration fees almost a year ago that I never even received. I paid him out of pocket for a vehicle I've been able to drive for 1 month since July 2024, as I had to take it back to them for re repairs, and then by the time I got the car back, my paper plates were expired and if I drive it I've been told by the DMV I risk it being towed, and I have no way to prove I own the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! This place has the absolute WORST customer service ever! The "Manager" will use profanity and raised voice not to mention HANG UP on you if you disagree with him. My daughter bought a Mustang from them with an extended warranty. When she first test drove the car she told them the A/C wasn't blowing cold they assured her they would fix it. When we picked it up it was blowing cold and they said it was just "low on coolant" trusting they were honest we went with it. She took the car home. She drives an average of 10 miles a day and has only had the car about 2 months the A/C is blowing hot again. She took it to them as they said to do. They now want to charge her an "inspection fee" for their mechanic to look at it and diagnose it. It is obvious they band-aided the problem to begin with . She is a young girl and it was obvious they were taking advantage of her. I called for clarification and was told "if you don't like it to bad" "you have no f'ing idea what your talking about" and "just shut the F up" the so called manager then hung up on me. I called back asking to speak with someone else he screamed at me telling me I'm not getting anyone better than him deal with it. He then went on to say it's probably a "different" problem now anyways and she is past her 30 days. At this point it is way past the fee they are charging which is completely unjust and very unscrupulous it is more about a grown man taking advantage of a young girl being inexperienced and when he is confronted about it he gets angry to the point of belligerent. I understand the chances you take when you buy a used car but never in a million years would I expect this kind of treatment from a business who is supposed to be professional. Be warned... this place will band-aid your vehicle to get it out the door, sell you the extended warranty then put bogus inspection fees for their mechanic in play when you need to use it. If you are a woman this supposed manager will berate you, use profanity and hang up on you before you can explain. I will be having my contract reviewed legally however people should be warned against this kind of dishonest and downright hostile treatment before you spend your money on a vehicle there. Beware of the band-aids. EDIT!!!!! As you will see by the Managers response he is a very angry man who knows he is scamming people. There are more than 1 review other than mine on here that talk about him cussing and having horrible customer service and junk cars. I bought my car in May of 2022, turns out he didn't have the vehicle registered in his lot for over a year. He tried to manipulate ME into paying double registration (for 2021 and 2022) and refused to give me my license plates if I didn't pay $700+ for the year HE didn't have the car registered. Keep in mind, I had already paid $400+ for my registration when I bought the car. I told him I was not going to pay for a year that I didn't even have the car for. BaltAzar then screenshotted some random comment from quora as his "evidence" of the law. He finally backed down from his lies when I threatened to take him to court with my attorney and have an auditor check out his sketchy business. When I bought my car the dashboard said it needed servicing and an oil change. I asked him about that and he said he had "already done all that, it was just a coding issue I should check out in 6 months." Turns out he was lied about that too! Luckily I double checked with a mechanic and it needed servicing and an oil change. I also got pulled over by a cop two weeks after purchasing the car because the dealership sold me a car thats registration expired a year ago. I contacted BaltAzar, and he responded that the cop was "stupid" and it was registered until 2022 which he lied about too. He also had me do the smog test after I had already purchased the vehicle. I purchased a vehicle at this place and used my 06 Charger as a trade in. 2 months after I received a fast track ticket. I found that the release of liability was never submitted, it was part of the paperwork I filled out on site. Also I was pulled over and given a ticket for not having a registration, he could not find the car in his system. I called Baltazar at the car lot and he told me the Cops probably just don't like me and they're giving me a hard time. 2 weeks later I tried to clear the ticket at the CHP and he said I was not on the paperwork and it was not valid. I showed him the paperwork on the window and he said that it is expired and that after 60days I should have already received the tags. These are not problems that anyone should have. I have a court date now if the registration paperwork is not taken care of. I'll be contacting the better business bureau and my lender, since Baltazar keeps dodging my calls and his staff is incompetent of being able to help me. read more

I was told that this HUMMER was in the best shape they have ever seen. Great report from the GM dealership. No damage reports.............. The entire undercarriage was painted black in an effort to hide ALL OF THE RUST DAMAGE. I am almost 50 years old, I am disabled and not working. I live in the mountains, and I am not sure how I am going to recover from this. I have asked several times for him to take back the vehicle but he refuses. My husband (served in the US Air Force) and I hope this helps people. Please find your own local mechanic and take any cars you want to buy from here and have it checked out first. Gabe, the salesman was a delight to deal with. The owner is shady and lied to us and the finance company. Harassed us for the down payment that wasn't due for another week and then sent Eddie out to take the car back 6 days after purchase. It's been a nightmare dealing with Baltzar the owner, which by the way his name is not listed as the owner. Gigi is the legal owner of the shop. When we contacted the finance company we were told he illegally took the car from us and that he had no authority or authorization from them to pick up the car. The car was sold without a spare tire which in the state of California is illegal. Do not do business with merced auto world. Finance company said they refused To do business with him in Atwater as he was adding things to the contracts to put money in his own pocket. We will never do business with him or his car lot.
