I even called and spoke to Matt B to get my warranty released so that I could go somewhere else. He asked me why and I told him exactly what happened. So I needed an oil change. This would be my first for my new truck. Bonander was nice to take me in on a 9am appt. I arrived and they quickly took me in. While I waited, I was able to take advantage of their free coffee. One issue though, they must not have cleaned out the kuerig of all the cleaning fluid because my coffee had a funny taste. Noticeable funny taste. I tossed the cup. Actually I tossed two of the coffees. The first one, the cream had curdled. Gross. Luckily for me, the cleaner bottle was in the trash. I saw the active ingredient was citric acid so I shouldn't die. Let's hope I don't. They quickly cleaned out the kuerig and now I was able to enjoy a cup of coffee. The oil change and tore rotation took about one hour and 40 minutes. Kind of long but then again they did take me in. I was grateful. Everyone I contacted there were professional. I can't really talk about the price because I found out my first oil change on my new truck was complimentary. read more

Unfortunately we drove 2+hrs to check out a vehicle that we had CALLED AHEAD TO SEE, and when we arrived it was dirty, had no gas and had leftover condiments of someone's lunch inside. We were on a time constraint now being 2+ hours away from home & our toddler and we spent most of our time paying (out of pocket) to get the car cleaned and the salesman had to drive us to get it gas so we could actually test drive it. Overall, there was a lot of fluff with the sales team while we there, they refused to negotiate ANYTHING with us so we left. After what we just went through to come and see the vehicle, as a business I would expect some form of apology or here's an air freshener, but nothing. They then followed up consistently for a couple weeks after, finally trying to negotiate with us but they were a day late & dollar short. So many car buying experiences go south, so let's start with the positives. Gilbert is an excellent salesman and seems to be an all-around nice guy. Also as with any used car purchase the dealership was very nice and accommodating when selling the vehicle to me. So, I will lay out the whole experience now. I contacted Bonander about a GMC Denali they were advertising. I needed to lower my payment and this vehicle looked like it would suit the bill and make my wife happy. Gilbert held the Denali for me until I got there, and I arrive just before closing. We took it for a test-drive and I checked out everything I could think of to make sure the car wasn't a piece of junk. It drove fine but I noticed a couple issues right away which we negotiated into the sale. The heated seats needed repairs and I wanted a second key as it only had one. We agreed on terms for price, financing and they included a due bill for repairs of the seat and the replacement key. They even agreed to bring me a loaner to my house and shuttle the Denali back for the repairs. Pretty excellent up to this point. I left happy and drove my new car home. They included a trial of On-Star so I set it up on my way home and noticed right away that the Navigation thinks it's in a lake in Canada, not in the Valley in California. I spoke briefly with the On-Star rep about this and she advised me to call the technical department during business hours. Three days later I called the technical department. The reason the GPS thinks that it's in Canada is because the module is likely bad. Now I'm unhappy, the vehicle was advertised as having GPS. It's going to cost about $1400 to fix it. Now, I bought it without a warranty but this is not something that failed while I was driving it, it was never working and it was advertised to have it. I notified Gilbert via text, (always use text because you have a record of every conversation) He said he would talk to the dealership management about it and get back to me. He never did. So here we are three weeks later, they sent a very rough loaner SUV for my wife to use while her luxury SUV was being repaired, which is fine I guess but you may as well have sent a Honda. They had the vehicle for a week, it just came back today and Viola the seats work! However, The key fob isn't programmed, the laser cut key was not sent back with the vehicle. Gilbert says they will take care of it, but zero mention of the Navigation, and now when they returned it the driver's side running boards are making noise. The lights are flickering, and it is slow cranking. I'm feeling like they got me good. I realize Gilbert is just the salesman and seems like a genuine guy, but this dealership seems like a typical bag full of snakes otherwise so far. If the dealership decides to address this I will gladly take this down but this is how my experience has gone so far. Buyer beware. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! I had my throttle cable replaced at a great deal. Took longer than expected. When I checked in with Brooke, she said, "sometimes it takes longer because they aren't familiar with the process." Since its a 2000, I didn't argue since there aren't a lot of 2000's in use. She assured me nothing was wrong, and the rate I was quoted was the rate I would pay. When it was completed, I paid and left. No communication whatsoever was relayed besides it being completed. My car started sputtering even more than before the change. I called and spoke to Albert who said to drive the car 50 miles and the computer would reset, and if the computer didn't reset, I was to come in to have the idle adjusted. Even confirmed with 3 mechanics and they all agreed. I went in this morning for my appointment and was disrespected and denied adjustment to my throttle. They didn't complete their job and nor did they want to correct their mistake. They lost my business forever. Was looking forward to a long relationship with Bonander after my throttle replacement at a great price, but now I'll happily go elsewhere. I left very upset, and very frustrated.. but not before telling them to give me my f****** keys. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! If there were every any issues encountered during the repair, they were not communicated to me. I was sent on my way after paying my bill with Brooke. Brooke dropped the ball by not communicating. I never claimed the car was perfect, and my 15 year old son can only pay for repairs as needed while he works part time and attends school. This is his project he's been working on so he can have a car at 16. He has taken the initiative to lighten the load I have as a single mom. Want to know what we've been through? My mom has had breast cancer twice in the last 5 years. I, along with my 2 boys, have stepped up to help her out. He said he wanted to pay for this himself. So judge all you want about having a "19 year old car" and we'll happily pay for all the repairs elsewhere. First I will say Thanks for fixing my car. My interactions in the office were not so great. When I took my car to drop it off there was another customer being helped by John. I was fine waiting my turn. He walked out to tag her car. As I stood there, I here someone (Kirk, Service Manager) from the back corner say "I can help the next person." Without walking over to the counter to check me in he remained sitting at his desk talking to me from across the office. Once he decided to walk over and take my keys I don't think there was ever any eye contact during our whole interaction. I got a phone call later from John stating what needed to be done to my car and that I should leave it overnight. I went back in the morning to get an eta on when it would be done because I was going to be out of town and wanted to make sure I was back to pick it up since it was Friday. Go into the office and John helped me, as I'm standing there waiting Kirk was arguing with another employee and I don't think John could focus because he couldn't really answer any questions. When I asked for an eta he said "um, 4." Ok, so I left only to get a phone call about 15 minutes later that I could come pick up my keys they would have to reschedule for next week. :( Why didn't he just tell me that when I went in there. Brought my car back the next week and was waited on by Ricky and he was outstanding, very kind, called later to get an update and once again spoke to Ricky, again very nice. I told him to rub off on the others! Bottom line is I feel like Bonander has been here forever and it's because of customers that they are still around. Maybe there should be some service training for the faces of Bonander . If I ever need service again, I won't be going back here that's for sure. read more

We found a 2018 GMC Denali 2500HD online, we talked with a gentleman name Gilbert Valenzuela. We made an appointment to come in and take a look at the truck. When we arrived on Veterans Day 2020 and we were greeted by Gilbert. He was very nice when we first arrived. He knew so much about the truck. Any question we had he was able to answer is throughly. Our test drive was great. We didn't do the typical drive around the block and back. We went to the back farm roads of Turlock. We really go a sense for the truck and how it felt to drive. When we returned Gilbert was stellar with all of the paperwork. He never pushed us, he kept asking what we wanted and how we could get there. We were already pre-approved with USAA so that made things go smoothly. We would highly recommend Gilbert Valenzuela at Bonander Buick GMC. Worst dealership I've ever been to purchased a 2019 Toyota Camry se. Prior to purchasing the vehicle I noticed the tires were almost completely bald and when I told Gilbert one of your sales and tried to tell me the tires were good for another couple hundred miles are you kidding me what kinda sales reps do you hire. Gilbert also promised to get us a brand new set of tires so after we agreed of that we waited about her 3 weeks without a response from him so we called and emailed him multiple times and he never answered once. When he did answer he told us that the tires were still on back order so we waited another 6 weeks and he never got back to us about anything so we had to purchase our own tires. I would have to say from the beginning I should have seen the warning signs. We put down $25000 cash on our 2018 Denali HD. My husband is a Disabled veteran and entitled to the Veterans discount through GMC. They refused to honor the discount. They told us you had to have been retired within the first year of being released from active duty. Upon further research we realized they were full of shit. We also asked to go through my husband's bank which is a credit union and we found out later they went through their own bank and basically screwed us for the highest payments and interest rates. My daughter has an 06 Saturn , I was told by my regular mechanic I had to take it to a GM/Chevy dealer to install a new board. I arrived for my appointment about 10 minutes early , stood at a counter for 5 minutes while and unoccupied employee sat at his desk and NEVER even acknowledged me, even though he lifted his head and made eye contact. I finally asked if I was In the right place. Response... "Yeah but the writer is busy just wait there" long story short it was one disappointment after another .... Went to this dealership twice to inquire about a car I wanted to check out. Waited 20 minutes the first time for the car to "come back" because one of the salesman was using it for his own personal use. After waiting I took it for a test drive and loved it! I waited to buy until my loan was approved and contacted them a week later when my financing was secure. I called them and told them I was ready to buy and would be driving from an hour away so they could have time to get the car ready for me. When I arrived I was told that once again that another salesman was "using" the car and he'd call him to bring it back. Called this dealership because I live about 2 hours alway and spoke to salesman Juan about a truck I was interested. I had a trade In and at first they wanted to low ball me of course the dealer will normally do this to try to make the most they can and I get that it just it's a business. We worked out numbers and finally got to a number I felt it was fair to us. Then I told him I will come in and do paperwork and everything the next day. He agreed then the next day I walked in and he wasn't in I should've took that as a sign to leave and another salesman ended up helping me.
