Back in DEC 2021, Mentors delivered my new sofa set to my home and the movers carelessly bumped the corner leg of the sofa and hit the surface corner of my new concrete dining table. The new dining table is now ruined since the damage is completely visible. The only thing I heard in that second besides the metal hitting concrete was "oops" coming from that mover. After proper recording of the damage on the BOL/Delivery form, you would think the company would compensate appropriately. Long story short, the company apologized, but made me go through their insurance provider for the claim which I found out was denied because they chose to argue it was MY FAULT!!! The movers that they use are suspect. The customer service is very poor, and if there are any issues that arise, good luck having them trying to resolve it. We just had a mattress and box spring delivered by Mentor. Zach our contact was great with scheduling. Delivery was prompt and within the 2 hour window we were promised. They carefully wrapped & loaded our furniture, many large pieces with glass on three sides. Mentors arrived at the new home as scheduled, sending reminder texts. We have heard so many horror stories about moving companies moving people out of state that we were so leery to entrust anybody to do this task for us. But after receiving a handful of positive reviews from family and friends, we thought we'd give them a shot. Keith Hough was our point of contact and he came out and gave us an estimate. He explained the process, gave us a quote, explained how it was binding and would not change based on weight, etc... We had a short time schedule, but they ensured us they could accommodate us. We found the bid to be very fair and competitive. They arrived when they said they would to load up. Cruz was the driver and his two helpers were very friendly, professional, clean and worked quickly, but not reckless. We were told our stuff would arrive 4 days later 8am. And the night before the date, the driver, Andreas, called and said he was on time for 8am delivery. Andreas showed up with two workers who traveled from Butte to assist unloading. They were fantastic. Can't say enough about this company. Their communication was great. The service was great. The price was fair. We would use them again and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Give them a shot. read more

I would rate 0 starts if could. This is the worst company and you should stay away from it. They took my stuff to storage and we got it back all broken. They have caused more than $11k in damages and now they don't want to accept they messed up and offered less than 1k to compensate for the damages. They refused to go with their insurance. Most of our stuff is useless and it was damage by heat even when they told us they would store our stuff on a temperate controlled environment. STAY AWAY! read more

I had a full house move last year and Mentors was contracted for packing and storing locally until a driver and truck was available. During the packing, I found one of the packers damaged an item and tried to hide it which should have been a warning sign. They ended up damaging several thousand dollars worth of items. During packing, they took short-cuts resulting in damaged to items stored in boxes. Poor handling, which included a destroyed book shelf, mashed and dented boxes with damaged items inside, and a huge gash through a crated flat-screen TV which damaged the screen, to name just a few things. They also held my items in storage for 3-4 weeks, and I am certain that they were stored on a truck outside in 100+ degree heat due to the heat damage that occurred and the fact that the pick-up driver saw that it had been stored outside before they transferred the load. If you have a small move, maybe they can do it, but do not trust these folks to do a complicated or large move. Would not recommend at all. read more

Started out well but ended up badly. Initially arrived about 30 minutes late. I understand the drive was a little longer than they anticipated but nobody let us know. A crew of 4 to pack remaining items and load. They were all very courteous and polite. It took about 8 hours to get everything loaded. Said they would see us at 8:00 am the next morning at our new house. At 9:30 am the next morning we started making phone calls to find out what was going on as they had not arrived. At first we were told the truck had broken down and it would be a couple more hours. Truck arrived at 11:30 with a different crew of 2 who knew nothing about truck problems. Said they were pulled from a different job to finish ours! Really?! These guys didn't know where boxes were to go because the previous packers didn't mark all the boxes. Some of my lamps were packed carefully with bubble wrap while others were not. Just as they were with random stuff also not wrapped. My cedar hope chest fell off the top of a wardrobe box because it crushed under the weight. It is destroyed. Thick glass shelf for our tv stand was shattered, not wrapped properly. My antique hope chest was all scratched up. Lamp shades were put in an open box with other things so I lost two due to them being crushed. I am sooo unhappy with this company. The crew was so inconsistent. Everything we packed came through just fine. Some of those guys needed a lot more training! read more

I recently used Mentors to relocate. At first, I felt they was doing a good job. I bought them breakfast and my husband gave them each a tip. The night of the move I realized that I left my diamond earrings in my bedside table. I became anxious and upset with myself. My husband calmed be down by explaining that I probably packed them up or that they would still be in the drawer when the furniture arrived. I waited on pins and needles until my belongings were delivered four days later. As soon as my bedside table was unwrapped and placed in my bedroom, I quickly looked through the drawers and didn't find them. I contacted the company and was told to unpack all my belongings then contact them if I did not find my earrings. I followed their directions to a tee to only be told to contact the company that contracted them. My husband had already contacted them, and they were no help. I am leaving this review so anyone who uses this company is on notice that they have a thief working for them. I am truly upset that I trusted them in my home with my most precious belongings and they used that time to still. Some might say they are just earrings, and they can be replaced. True, but that does not give them the right to take something they know does not belong to them. read more

we used this company to move from Bakersfield to Nevada. they gave us a quote before we accepted. when the day came, they said they under-quoted and needed a second truck. cost an additional $3,500. fine, had to move, so we did it. the movers were great, (at least at first), customer service and sales people, not so much! they got to the new house, and delivered all the boxes and stuff, put them in place. checked the tvs, made sure they worked and weren't broken, since the crate they said they were going to have for the big tv, they didn't have. thought everything was fine, and then it wasn't. got into unboxing stuff and found a LOT of boxes that had FRAGILE all over it, had stuff inside that was broken. shop lights? bulbs broken when they got delivered. my grandfather's retirement plaque was broken. a bathroom metal shelf was broken, but the movers put it up and didn't say anything about it being broken. a very old antique ash tray is missing parts and broke. the tv that was supposed to be crated, we didn't notice it right away, but it is bent on one side of it. overall, if I could give the company 0 stars, I would give them NEGATIVE 10. overall not a good experience at all. the guys that loaded the truck, they were friendly and explained everything about the underestimate on the amount of truck space needed, but to be 50% off on that? ridiculous. sales person name was David. horrible customer service, and he attempted to blame us for the underestimate, saying that we added stuff to be moved, when we didn't. read more

Possibly the most dishonest and unprofessional place that I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. The company is completely and totally void of customer service. Me and my wife had them move a total of 6 items, 10 miles. They damaged or destroyed 3 of the items. The supervisor who came over literally did not acknowledge our presence and looked around as if the house was his. The corrupt owner offered $450.00 for $2200 worth of items that had receipts to prove cost. They would not offer more is what I was told through email. They would not return phone calls. The owner claims this offer was fair. Does anyone think $450 in place of $2200 is fair outside of the company who refuses to take responsibility for their actions? Make the judgment for yourself and then avoid this company at all costs if you value your items one bit. The dishonesty and lack of integrity is very difficult to describe. read more
