Their outdoor parking is all paved and it makes it nice, keeps the dust down. Our only problem was trying to see the tiny numbers on the site so you kind of have to get out of your vehicle to read them and the aisles are not yet marked. But everyone in the office are really nice and helpful and we've never had any issues with our items stored there. They have a lot of surveillance cameras so they can see what's going on, on the premises. Prices are decent compared to other places in town. I just don't like that they are closed on holidays, that means you're unable to take your rig back if you come home on a holiday.

But we did put our holiday decorations in there and out of hubby's garage. Although that's a lot of money spent!! But they're always nice and friendly and send an email about our rent due that makes it convenient since out of sight out of mind. And they keep my card on file but never charge it unless I give permission and they make it smooth and easy to rent there. Always clean safe and secure at this location and close to our house. But now we're moving and will be vacating our unit. But to anyone considering renting here I give it a big thumbs up since their hours are longer than that big chain storage place that's always closing a day here and there for holidays.

Facility Maintenance of lights, trash etc, not being addressed. 2. Increase in possible illegal activity with no management supervision. 3. Appreciation and credits not being offered to tenants for referrals,. 4. Belittling of customers and a sense of retaliation, I'm scared to refer to anyone else going forward 5. Improper and possibly unlawful rate increases. 6. Unlawful locking of units demanding payment at 3 days past due. 7. Being banned from facility using the "To take order" section from contract. which is a long reach to be able to justify their wrong actions over personally feelings.

Eventually my three car garage went from housing two cars, to one car, and then no cars. It was time I considered a storage unit. I realized the need for a storage unit late last year, but it wasn't until recently during COVID that I had time to go down and visit Derrels and open an account. The process was as easy as it gets. But I will say, we were incredibly lucky that we arrived on a day that a 10x10 became available. This location seems to have several long-time clients and getting an available unit can be tricky. The managers were incredibly friendly and helpful. They showed us the unit and we signed that day. Moved in the next. The facility is exceptionally clean. Every nook and cranny was spotless. The unit has plywood siding so that you can hang racks and what not. The 10x10 has plenty of room for our stuff and I can FINALLY reclaim my garage.

Next thing we know, 4yrs in, us along with a lot of other outdoor space renters who were parking their trailers out where we were, were told, "You need to find another place to rent. We're clearing out all those spaces where you are to build more storage facilities and we need you all out by the end of the month." We had to scramble to find another facility nearby where we could house our 5th wheel. You could tell everyone was looking because spots were going fast. Mind you, the managers of the place had told us that it was a corporate decision, and they couldn't make sense of it seeing how almost 80% of the storage spaces in their facility were still vacant. But nonetheless, it was the inconvenience they caused and additional expenses they placed on everyone forced to relocate. Fast forward 2yrs and there has been absolutely no progress on any additional storage facilities being built. Figures! We moved from the Stockdale Hwy facility to the one on 7th Standard and we are very pleased. The facility is clean, easy access to our 5th wheel, the managers are great, and we ended up renting a storage facility from them too. They have confirmed that they have no intention of relocating any of their outdoor parking space renters.

Others offered deals like buy two months get one free but Darrel's offers a promo price for three months that is 1/3 cheaper so it is the same rate ultimately without locking you into three months. It was a smooth process booking my unit and it's very easy getting in and out. The associates were helpful and nice and really treated me well.

I have a recorded phone conversation as well as voice mails to back up my story as detailed below. I have spoken with Ryan Bonner on numerous occasions trying to recover my memories. His last voice mail indicates the buyers are 'Hispanic' and maybe don't understand his voice mails. We live in California which is majority Hispanic and he can't find someone to translate? I'm sorry. The onsite manager lied to me! He tried to make it up by calling me to say it was being auctioned 5 days AFTER he said the earliest this unit would come up was December. My memories were sold. This includes diplomas, funeral books, 35 years of ornaments marking milestones, my Mom's Barbie collection, my Dad's favorite jacket, pictures, scrapbooks etc. Tons of this has no value to anyone but my family. My heart is broken & I cry every time I think about it. What price can you put on this emotional devastation? I'll be suing out of principle. But this won't make it up in my heart. DONT LISTEN TO ONSITE MANAGERS. They have no authority to let you know ANYTHING. And even if they do? Doesn't matter..... I admit this. Leon, the on site manager on 1330 Coffee Road in Bakersfield CA advised I was good until December. On November 3 at 10am he called to say my unit was being auctioned off. I was in a meeting. I immediately called corporate. They said they'd attempt to recover my lifelong memories. Leon told them he never talked to me. He lied. Lost a lifetime of memories. Don't trust the onsite managers. Apparently they know nothing. At all. If you get in a situation where you're behind, call corporate. Not that they'll do anything either because they gave me the run around too, but at least you'll stand a chance. I spent hours and hours searching on every site I could think of to find these buyers and offer them more money than they could have possibly paid for this unit. No luck......
