Ty was able to answer all my questions about my move in. The unit isn't climate controlled, but it's clean and inside a hallway so it feels cool because of the concrete walls. The price is high, the gate is manual and the office ladies are always nice. I rented a truck from them too, which was convenient for my move. read more

We arrived at the gate before 4:30 to put a little bit of boxes into our storage. We waited at the gate until a Tiana came out at 4:44pm to let me know they don't accept access before 4:40pm. I told her to please let us in it will only take 5 minutes. She said new management informed her not to let any vehicles in before 4:30pm. We called customer service since the gate says access from 8-5 daily. Customer service was a complete waste of time. They did not help us with anything, instead they kept me on hold and hung up on me several times. She said she would contact the owners since they should be open til 5 but we ended up getting stranded outside the gate for 40 minutes. Great customer service!!!! Great vehicle condition and all the dollies available were just what we needed to move a 4 bedroom house.

U-haul process was easy and the girls behind the counter were nice. The price is different on weekends so if you're looking to spend less, weekdays are cheaper building is old, 15years+ probably. Using the bathroom is awful, no temp control so during this summer heat, it was yuckkkkk. read more

DO NOT RENT A U-HAUL FROM THIS LOCATION. Terrible communication and customer service. They allow before hours pick up but do not allow after hours drop off (which no one told me when I return 2 missed calls with no voicemails left for me to know who and why they called). So that in turn makes your 24hour rental late. And we also wasted gas and miles driving back here to return after hours. If you need a U-Haul go somewhere else in town. This location is the worst experience I have ever had renting a moving truck. They didn't even open on time because apparently their employee left her key and the other person who "lives upstairs" can't do anything... then when my husband went inside (after they opened late) all they did was take his key and say they would look the truck over later and email. He wasn't even the one who rented the truck and they didn't ask. And if that is all they want to do when you return it then why not offer after hours drop off because clearly we didn't need to be there. What a joke. read more

I try not to write poor reviews unless I feel people should be made aware. We've had a storage with this business for 2.5 years. We've overheard several exchanges with other customers which gave us pause, but our personal experience wasn't poor enough to complain about until now. John (office manager) sent us one letter, stating we were about to be imposed with a lien on our unit. After contacting John, I was told that nearly 3 months ago our credit card had been declined. I asked John why, after nearly 2.5 years of paying rent with that same card, he doesn't process the card while on the phone (as is customary) or while I'm there paying? Rather than process immediately, he writes the card info. out in it's entirety (very poor security) and then types it into a card processor. It's also slow as he's the only one that processes card payments from what I'm told, and it can't be done if someone is on the business line. Anyway, I explained he must have written the card down incorrectly which could have been corrected if he processed payment at point of sale or got my callback number, which again he refuses to do. He became irate, raised his voice and said he tried calling us, but no one responded. He never called. He also never wrote us, until months later when he threatened the lien. We were astounded and his behavior. He ended the call with, "if you don't like renting here, move your stuff somewhere else". That was on 7/3. Today, I received a letter notifying me of a 42% rent increase, effective next month. Date of the letter is 7/3. He must have been really angry after that call. You know, the one where I was trying to clear up an error and make payment. Apparently, we can add spiteful to the list of John's accomplishments. Tip for this business: In the middle of a pandemic, customer service and consideration is of utmost importance. read more

My standards for storage centers and Uhaul are low. John (office manager) worked hard for this review. They seemed very upset that I was using the app, and refused to leave my side during the "contactless" delivery. Intentionally hovering over me (without masks) to make me feel intimidated and uncomfortable, all the while telling me how the website is too difficult for me to use (I was doing fine). This is a first for me. Never have I written a review for any establishment but I would use a ZERO if that was an option. Staff is incompetent; the person checking in the rental charged for usage of the dolly and tarps that were never used, designated support staff fraudulently offered to correct the charges but did not do so. Should you choose to deal with this business, you will not be remotely pleased with any result. At some point there will be repercussions for their actions. It was suggested that I call the police, contact the Better Business Bureau and pursue legal action. Caveat emptor. read more

These people are very dishonest. We paid up front in full for a U-Haul cargo trailer. After we returned the trailer, we were charged additional fees that were not disclosed, we specifically asked if we needed to clean the exterior of the trailer and we were told we did not have to clean the exterior of the trailer, but we were hit with an additional $50 fee. Make sure you find out all fees involved, evidently the State of CA charges fees as well, which was not disclosed. Do not use this company for your U-Haul needs. Please go elsewhere. Rented a Uhaul from this location over the weekend for an in town move. The Uhaul was fine. Clean and in average condition. The service however was slow and not at all friendly. It took 25 minutes from the time I walked in the door till the time I left with the truck. There was only one other customer before me and he was returning a truck so for it to take that long was absurd. Especially since there were two people working behind the desk that day. When I returned the truck I asked what was the mileage put on the truck to make sure they weren't overcharging me. He told me to sign the paperwork and then he'd tell me. I told him how about you tell me and then I sign the paperwork. Seemed a little shady but he charged me appropriately so there were no issues. It was also about a 15 minute process when returning the truck even though I was the only customer there. I wouldn't use this location to rent a Uhaul again. The place smelled like old people too. Came to Brimhall Mini Storage to rent a uhaul van for a few trips to storage. Everything was good, I was able to book my vehicle online and take care of all of the paperwork online which sped up the process when I picked the vehicle up. I don't have anything bad to say about my experience and would say it was easier than my experiences renting uhauls at actual uhaul stores. read more

We made reservations for 26' truck a month a head of time. A day before they txt me wanting me to pick up a trailer in riverside, ca and drop it I'm amerillo, Tx which is 368 miles away from me I explained no that's completely out of my way next thing I know I get a call my truck isn't available I told them what you mean my truck isn't available I then said I want to talk to a supervisor the supervisor said all I have is a 15' truck with a trailer that is a 10'x 8' that would "NOT " fit everything since I reserved a 26' they over charged me since I had to go to Bishop to pick up before 5p in my vehicle which cost me $150 for gas to & from my house the guy didn't have the whole order when I got there in front of customers he said well either you signed this or I'm putting this truck back threw the paperwork down next customer he was a very rude ass I called uhaul they said once he fills out the paperwork it's gone I get to Texas they tell me he over charge me but now Texas doesn't want to do nothing either they got their money so why should they I know a lot of people that need to rent trucks DONT RENT FROM UHAUL YOU Will Get RIPPED OFF!!!!!! Been a renter for almost 18 months and have not had an issue with the physical place until now and obviously dealing with older male of the team on this day was a mistake. I understand as per contract I must carry insurance.....no worries. But to inform him of an issue with rodent....he was like oh well, no my problem. Not even an apology. Rented a storage unit for a little over 2 years. Over the 2 years they raised the rent twice. I always felt a little creeped out there too. When I went to my storage unit they always found some reason to drive or walk past me making me feel like they were checking out what was in my unit. The office was always stinky and they had a rather odd presence. I didn't like going there alone.
