My taste in frozen yogurt is no different than my taste in socks: if it's there, I'll have some, not really caring about flavors or colors as they all serve the same purpose to me. As an adult, my perspective of this place is that the cast of Muppets spontaneously waltzed in here one day and decided to collectively take a crap on it. Menchie's gives me alarmingly clear flashbacks that reek of pre-teen insecurity, puberty, and Power Rangers. Having said that, I like Menchie's a lot because of all of their colorful, decorative artwork, and how they are turning up the 8-year-old dial on almost everything in the store from their tables, cups, and also having some smiley club membership card that insures your day with extra smiles. It makes being in here lighthearted and fun. When I visited, there was no one else there and nobody new came in the whole time. It's the lacking-in-popularity dork of frozen yogurt but that also means everything was untouched, clean, and no hassle in sampling. What really pushes Menchie's ahead of the game is that their toppings are covered and separated into its own plastic container with lids. I can't stress enough how much I dislike the uninvited orgy festival that occurs outside of my cup of yogurt when there is the buffet style of toppings. I believe the frozen yogurt here cost a little more than the others by the ounce but who else is going to pay for Lisa Frank's ecstasy-inspired artwork that lines the nooks and crannies of this store? I like their selection of flavors because the sweetness is more subdued than compared to Zoeyogurt or Yogurtland. I'd drop by again. read more

Froyo places have been creeping closer and closer to my house, but Menchie's is now close enough to drunk stumble to, and to be honest, that concerns me, because I reaaaaally should not be eating the sugar... which is why I guess it's good Menchie's always has a low carb option... ;) The times I've gone so far, the employees of this store have been really sweet and the store has been clean -- the froyo is pretty standard but the machines at this location are great because their handles don't get stuck in the on position/leak everywhere! [Of course, this is my perspective as a former froyo slinger myself, and this kind of machine is really more beneficial to the employee -- it keeps the yogurt trays cleaner for the customer and makes their work less of a pain in the ass] I still have an affinity for Peaks at Crossroads, but for those times when I don't want to leave my 'hood, Menchie's will undoubtedly be there to satisfy all my froyo/cute shit cravings. More of a 4.5 stars place but I'm feeling generous :P The store is bright and clean. I especially like the way they coordinate the color scheme. Very playful and quite cute. The employees are really friendly and welcoming. Overall, a very refreshing environment. Now, onto the yogurt. They have many different flavors rotating throughout. I personally like the tart flavored ones. However, they have this cake batter flavor that is spectacular. Most of the flavors I've tried so far have been great. So great, in fact, my mother who is addicted to frozen yogurt, eat here almost daily. It's all she wants nowadays. Really recommend it. BTW, they have free waffle bowl on Wednesdays. I don't know. There was a lot of talk about this place from my family so I decided to go with them at check it out. I'm not a huge fan of fro-yo but I don't hate it either. We went on Friday for that $5 special and the place was packed; loud and barely room to sit. I don't know if it's just because of how late it was (10 pm) but the yogurt and the toppings seemed a little stale to me. The area around the toppings was a mess and I had to ask an employee to refill one of them. Overall, it was a good experience for what it is. I wouldn't go any other time than their Friday night deals, though. Way too expensive. read more

The Bellevue Menchie's remains one of the cleanest and most well-stocked frozen yogurt bars that I have ever been to! Each yogurt flavor comes out with full force and each topping dish is more than half full. My only gripe is that the sliced mango topping was not sweet enough, but I think that would be true of any yogurt shop with out-of-season fruit! Hehe. (Random observation: I moved to CA ~3 years ago from WA and I honestly think the fruit tastes better throughout the year, here. I think it's because the fruit is fresher by the time it reaches your plate, considering most of our fruit comes from CA farms! Besides the fact this is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop, one of my favorite things about Menchies is that its candy bar has magnetic lids and keeps things clean while maximizing the space. There's nothing the staff members do to go above and beyond, so I'm never blown away by the customer service (but I'm not really expecting superb service from a frozen yogurt shop). There are lots of sample cups, and I never feel rushed. The cashier in the middle faces the door, with their back to the frozen yogurt machines. I've never had a time here where they stared at me while I sampled yogurt (other places have). The parking lot can be a nightmare sometimes, but once you're inside, it's a quick thing to forget when you're greeted by the pink and green smiles. The items have always been pretty well stocked, and I haven't experienced a time yet where it's messy on the interior. I wish they had a place to recycle the cups and spoons like other Menchies location. read more

This place is in a good location, being right next to my favorite Ramen spot so it's an easy decision to drop by right after dinner. You pay for what you want to eat which is ideal for both me and the kid because we just need to get our craving served but neither of us eat much. I typically spend about two dolla for the two of us, which includes the toppings. It's perfect!! I have found that they cycle yogurt flavors often, keeping it fresh for us regulars. Yesterday, they had salted caramel. Nummy! They have a large selection of toppings. One of my favorites is the tiny chocolate turtles filled with caramel. Are you sensing a caramel theme yet? Finally, you can top off your masterpiece with hot fudge, caramel, fresh whipped cream, or marshmallow creme, which is my pick. read more

This particular location has really annoying (and somewhat dangerous) wobbly tables. The tables are so wobbly, I witnessed another customer spill their frojo on the ground due to the table top spinning around. 10 minutes with a wrench and they'd have this annoyance fixed. Seems really dumb and careless of the franchise owner not to take care of this. I find Menchies a solid choice. The Dulce De Leche is quite good. They've recently added Nutella to the mix, too. read more

We love this location and come frequently for their $6 fill your cup Friday night - it used to be $5 but we understand about inflation. The only suggestion I'd love to make to management is please PLEASE bring in some low carb flavors!! We saw many low carb options (45 cal /oz) on menchi's website and would LOVE to get some (like the coffee royale or chocolate carmel ones). They frequently have no-sugar-added options but they still clock in at 90cal /oz and not very keto friendly with the sugar content. Please please consider bringing in some low carb flavors!! There's also a fairly decent chance you'll come here anyway if you're in the Bellevue area, because it's a nice, well-stocked froyo option on the Eastside. I got lucky my first time here because I stumbled upon their Friday night hh: $5 for all you can fill in a large cup! It's from 9p-11p at this location - not sure about the others. In my cup I got some chocolate froyo with brownies, caramel sauce, whipped cream, almonds, strawberries and Oreos - a delightful combo! I tried almost all of the froyo flavors and though I didn't think all of them were amazing like I did at Blissberri I did really like the chocolate & devil's food cake flavors. It was packed and there's not much room to move between the froyo flavors but you can easily maneuver if you stay determined & focused :) Friendly service & atmosphere. Sandwiched between Wild Wings and a ramen restaurant. Basically, it's in a strip mall and really easy to stumble upon after a meal or shopping at one of the retail stores. I actually liked this place more than Yogurtland. A little drive but away from the cramped parking and downtown traffic Yogurtland offers. It offers more topping options in my opinion and plenty of syrups. My kids even said they liked this place better. It was a hot day in Bellevue and my co-worker and I had a few minutes to kill before moving on to our next destination. She had never been to a menchies so we decided to try it out. I am a fan of frozen yogurt and love being able to add different toppings. Many times I have to stop myself from over doing it. Their frozen yogurt was just as good as any other and the staff that was working was friendly. The actual store was clean and there was a table outside for us to utilize. The table outside needed to be wiped down and probably should be checked on from time to time. It's a great go to place if you're in the mood for some frozen yogurt on a hot day and do not plan on staying long. Menchies is by far the best frozen yogurt on the Eastside...I've been to Peaks a few miles away in the Crossroads mall and it doesn't even compare. The toppings at Menchies are much more fresh and there are MUCH more to choose from. There are also atleast 2 or 3 dairy free options at Menchies which is nice for those that are lactose intolerant. Froyo and service were ok but definitely not as good as the froyo shop in Crossroads Mall (Peaks). I liked the layout of this store and thought that they had a broad selection of flavors (Tarts, sweets, fruits). However, the staff working seemed uninvolved and like they were just there to collect a paycheck. The girl working didn't go out of her way to deliver "smiles" like they claim in their marketing. Menchies seems to be the Taco Bell of the froyo world while other shops like Peaks seem to be the Chipotle. Both serve similar products, but both vary in quality. my first experience at menchies was at the Redmond way location. I not only fell in love with the frozen yogurt but the fun atmosphere and wonderful friendly customer service.after watching menchies on undercover boss I loved the smiling customer service culture menchies is known for. I recently started going to this location after falling in love with the wing stop next door. I hate to say this but this location puts the menchies customer service atmosphere to shame. out of the three times I have come here I have never had a memorable customer service experience and I honestly will drive further out of my way to go to the Redmond way location. the staff their is friendly, nice and always engaging with customers. the last time I came here I came during their Friday night cup fill up for $5. all employees looked pissed to be there and the girl at the register was literally glaring and giving nasty looks as customers were filling up their cups. I wanted to sit down but all the tables were dirty so I stood outside. all the trashes were overflowing. I would understand if they were really busy and under staffed. however two of the staff was outside talking with friends while there was just the one girl at the register working. tonight when I returned I received another disappointing experience. the girl working didn't even acknowledge us until we were putting on our toppings and all she said was are you guys ready yet? when I placed our cups on the scale she asked me to move them to the other scale. never asked if I had a smiles card I had to remind her I had a phone number to put in. she never once smiled and seemed like she wasn't happy about working there. as we sat down I looked over and the girl was standing at the register and had her phone down at the counter texting the whole time. I found this pretty disrespectful to all the customers in the store. as I was leaving I noticed the other employee in full uniform sitting in the lobby talking with some friends. I don't know if the bad service is just a night crew thing or what but I definitely think management should be aware of how the store is operating at night. I would much rather drive further out of my way to the Redmond location for a great experience with awesome service. read more

Came here probably twenty minutes ago (10:10) because their hours said they're open until 11pm. The door was open and the lights were still on but all the toppings were put away so we were really confused. There wasn't a worker around either. But once a worker came out she said they're closed? Either they decided to close early today or they need to change their hours on yelp because it's a huge waste of time to show up somewhere thinking it's open but it's really "closed". Great location for a Menchie's franchise. Located right next to Kukai Ramen and Little Caesars Pizza. 85 to 90% that you are going to get dessert here. Very friendly and nice cashier that makes customers feel welcome as they arrive. Excellent variety of toppings and many yummy syrups. The froyo selection was good compared to other locations. The original tart is available so you can put any syrups and toppings. You can customize the froyo in any way that you prefer. Very clean, creative and organized store.
