Menards is my favorite place to go this time of year! I love to play outside in my flower bed and get my veggies planted. I love to play in the dirt! This store is very busy and you almost need to visit here a couple of times a week because of the turnover in their plants! They have a variety of different choices in soils and fertilizer as well as mulch. I consider this a well stocked garden center. There isn't too much that you won't find here. Yard ornaments, planters, fountains and much much more! I have been here so often that the cashier knows my name!

I wasn't convinced and called the folks at Herald's. Instead of trying to sell us anything, they put a repairman, Curtis, on the phone. After what I told him about the refrigerator, he diagnosed it and told me he'd order the part and have it installed in a couple of days. Their service, kindness, and professionalism was impeccable. The refrigerator is humming along for about 7% of what I would have paid for a new refrigerator. If you live in the Mount Vernon, Ohio and surrounding area, and you need a repairman, or a second opinion, come to Herald's. They'll treat you right.

If you are interested in buying what they sell, please give this young couple a chance to sell and service it for you. The good staff will mainly stay the same and will share his goals. We wish T. In 2021, I remodeled my kitchen and bought my kitchen from their Maumee location. This time, they kept changing delivery dates and caused long delays in my project. I was mad but tried to be understanding given the pandemic. In 2025, the touch panel of the microwave oven they had sold me stopped working. I called them and explained the problem. They sent out a technician whose diagnosis after two minutes was (and I quote directly) "Touch panel failure". Duh! He then spent about 10 minutes on his computer and told us the part was not showing available and that we had to get a new unit. He did not take the microwave oven out of the cabinet, did not check whether the power was plugged in, did not open the back plate and look inside. He did nothing but try to use the touch panel. They he charged us $128.22 and left. Since I was busy at the time and had the old microwave that I could use temporarily, I postponed fixing the issue. Last week, I removed the microwave from the cabinet, opened the backplate and (after reviewing the user manual and watching a bunch of DYI videos on YouTube) figured that the internal fuse was blown. So I called GE parts hotline and ordered a new fused directly from the brand. After replacing the blown fuse, the touch panel lit up and the microwave oven started working. What bothered me was the fact that the technician had no interest in finding the cause of the touch panel failure and moved too quickly to advising us to order a new oven through them. Having fixed the problem myself, I called them up and asked to speak to the service department manager. I tried to explain everything chronologically but the manager was impatient, cut me off multiple times, and defended the technician's actions. He basically shut me down. I called a second time yesterday, hoping to talk to someone who cares about the Appliance Center's image, like the owners of the business. I was again routed to the service department manager, who repeated his earlier response. Not only the technician didn't do their job right for the price we were charged, but the manager was indifferent and uninterested in the experience that I, as a loyal customer, was trying to share with them. They lost me as a customer forever. I hope those reading my review will exercise caution when calling the Appliance Center for repair services.

Doug... If I could give 0 stars, I would. Where to start: Unprofessional, untimely, and overall…read morerude. We needed a wine refrigerator by a specified date that was given to Doug at the time of our original order. He promised that he would have the delivery in time for our house warming party which was 2-3 weeks from our order date. Because of his verbal commitment that our order would be here in time (& delivered), we cancelled our order for the same appliance with BestBuy, who wasn't going to meet the delivery deadline needed. Well, as you can guess, Doug didn't pull through. Instead of giving us updates on the status of our order the week we needed it, he didn't return phone calls, pointed his finger at the appliance manufacturer, and provided zero solutions/accommodations to remedy the issue at hand. When we finally did get ahold of him, we decided to cancel our order since his promise wasn't upheld. BestBuy has a significantly better warranty program and customer service platform, so we decided to reorder the appliance through them. When informing Doug that we were going to cancel our order, he was upset (probably because he was losing a commission) and said that we would receive a check in the mail for our refund. I politely informed him that we would like a refund to the credit card we originally paid with and he said, "that costs us money, we would prefer not to do that." Well, Doug, that's unfortunately the cost of business when you don't deliver on the commitments you make. A few days later, Doug calls to inform me that the wine refrigerator has arrived and we can still take the order, if desired. I told him that we would pass, due to the negative experience we had with Jack's Appliance and he proceeded to tell me that they would be charged a $500 restocking fee with the manufacturer to send the appliance back. I told him that it wasn't my problem, which he then tried telling me that it would be deducted from my refund. I know, it's almost comical at this point, but keep reading... We never signed a purchase order with Jack's, we didn't even receive a receipt from Jack's for our order, and it was never disclosed throughout multiple conversations that a "restocking fee" would be charged for cancelling a fully refundable order. When informing Doug that we would not be paying the restocking fee for their mishaps, he told me that I would receive a refund check in the mail, less $500 for the restocking fee, and proceeded to hang up before I could get another word out. When I attempted calling back, he didn't answer. Surprise! Haha. If you're looking for subpar service, a grumpy sales associate with no business acumen, the delayed arrival of your order, and a partial refund for never receiving your appliance(s), Jack's Appliance in Hilliard is the place to shop!
