I'm so glad we were able to get the larger refrigerator with the water and ice dispenser in the door. He also showed us how to change the water filter and helped us find the right one on Amazon. We weren't sure whether we wanted a gas or electric range, and then we had to decide which model. Chris had all the information we needed to make an informed decision. He spent a lot of time with us, but he never hovered. I purchased a brand-new high end Frigidaire Professional range from Appliance Factory approximately two years ago, and it has been used very lightly. Recently, the cooktop burners stopped heating properly. Following basic troubleshooting, I turned the breaker off and then back on. When power was restored, there was a loud electrical pop, and the back of the range began smoking and developed a burned hole in the metal panel near the power cord connection. I contacted Appliance Factory and spoke with the manager. he told me he had "never" heard of this happening and immediately stated there was nothing they could do because I did not purchase the extended warranty. When I explained that the failure was due to the power cord that Appliance Factory installed and asked whether they would consider assisting in good faith since the failure was related to the installation, I was told there was nothing they could do. I wasn't expecting a free replacement- I was simply hoping they would stand behind their installation or offer some level of assistance. Instead, I felt my concerns were dismissed without any effort to investigate the cause of what appears to be a serious electrical failure. I understand that warranties have limits, but customer service also matters. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Appliance Factory again..

Long review but hopefully thorough to explain why I will be calling these guys first next time I…read moreneed a repair. My ice maker was broken for the 2nd time in a year and a half. Last company I used was very nice, but it was a hefty bill and it took a handful of days for them to come over, determine what was wrong, then a few more days to order the part. This was also in the summer time when I love having ice in my drinks. This time I sent out what I thought the job required via Yelp to several companies. Larue Mechanical Services was one of the first to respond. On top of that they were able to determine what the likely cause and fix was (basically just replacing it) and give me a total estimate cost of the repair before they came over. Other companies were able to provide me their service fees but their hourly rate would vary depending on the job. This isn't uncommon from what I can tell, but I like the fact that Larue was able to give me what they thought it would cost. I understand not all jobs can work like that as repairs can be more complicated and determined on site, but it was part of why I chose them. They were communicative, got the part ordered asap, and replaced it all in 2-3 days. The repair happened on a Friday, and turns out, there was a small error in replacing it. The new ice maker was just dripping water all over and freezing. I let them know this on a Saturday and, despite being closed, responded that they would have to come back out. They responded to several texts about what to do in the meantime to stop the water from building up any more (again while they were closed on a weekend). They were, unfortunately, swamped all day Monday with emergency calls from the weekend. As much as I wanted my machine repaired, I would not classify it as an emergency either. They were able to come out on Tuesday and get it all fixed up though. The final bill was just a little cheaper that what they previously estimated, which was nice. The final bill was also about significantly cheaper than the last repair I had on this freezer. I am going to call Larue first if I ever have an appliance repair need again (which I am sure is a matter of "when" not "if"). The gentleman who did the repairs also took a little time to give my cats and dogs a little attention to let them know he was a safe visitor, which was very nice to see as well.
